881  Economy / Economics / Re: A career - as an employee or a business owner which do you prefer and why? on: January 12, 2023, 07:48:09 AM
Life is a choice, you can choose the direction of life in every thing you do. Before making a decision, you must be aware of your capabilities, whether you can become an entrepreneur or an employee in government agencies and private companies. This question will make someone more prepared for any outcome of the decision taken, whether you will regret the result or rejoice at it.

Yes, you are the one who will decide to whatever direction you wanted to take, but you should always know your capabilities and how you will find way to have a good outcome.

Quote
It needs to be underlined, no matter how high the position or rank of an employee means nothing, their status is still an employee. Sometimes small decisions that can change your life forever, because no matter how small your efforts, you are your own boss.

Even how small it is but if you have a good determination in finding the right way to become your own boss,
the chance of succeeding is always possible, your self-will makes you inspired to push your destiny.

Hawks come back was still short though, LOL. I got my bet on them that game and lost my hope when they are down a huge margin. My other bet is the Nuggets -14.5, so far so good but cannot celebrate early until the game is over. GL to us who took that spread.

Nuggets win with 29, so safe to say that you win the game and you even have your last lost with the Hawks. I see some run with the hawks, but not enough to snatch the game with the Bucks.

I lost my bet with the Bulls. I was thinking that it will be a good and easy one for them,
but Kuz really did well orchestrating their offense, Lavine 38 points are unable to push the win,
Congrats to all those who win their bets today!
883  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: January 12, 2023, 06:21:25 AM
There is a rumor that Lakers want to bring DeMarcus Cousins back. He is expected to work out for the Lakers soon as the report says. Idk if Cousins is the right guy they are looking for that can help the Lakers get a spot in the playoffs and battle their way. Just like AD, he is injury prone. The last time I saw him playing well is with Warriors. Russ is doing fine in their last 4 games but not enough. If only Russ and Schroder are consistent, that way they have a better chance of getting into playoffs.

The Lakers have Thomas Bryant, who has been playing pretty well lately, and I think he partially replaces Davis. So I'm not sure Cousins is needed by the Lakers, given that he's unlikely to be useful to the team due to his injury-prone nature. By the way, Cousins only averaged 9 points and 5.6 rebounds per game last season. To be honest, I feel sorry for him as he's only 32 years old, and he could have been in his prime, but that injury destroyed his career.

Yes, Thomas Bryant i doing good filling the void that Davis has left for the meantime and he is instrumental for bringing the Lakers to their winning streak and if I'm memory serves me right, he has game wherein he scored almost 30 points.

So no need to bring a experience player like Cousins, who also had some problems with this attitude and technical fouls.

And they don't need such kind of players right now, they have settled down a bit, they just need to bring Davis back again in the rotation and Thomas Bryant a good back up for now.

I see how Bryant adjusts with his role while AD is not around. Good thing that the rotation is also including him as a good option. Sometimes when you feel you are going to receive the pass, you will be more inspired to play good game.

Supporting you with your insight with adding Cousin, it will be tough for them if the opponent
use a running offense. We know how slow is Cousin now, though his offense still good if giving a
chance for one on one but 2-way player is what the lakers need while AD is still resting.
884  Economy / Economics / Re: Use your money wisely. Invest or Deposit ? on: January 10, 2023, 09:46:47 AM
investment and deposit are very different and if you have large capital then my advice is to do both, maybe 50% to Investment and 50% again to Deposit,
because that is the best thing to do and the risk will be very small, you can have a healthy profit if you doing this.
especially in 2023 it is a very good time to invest in the world of cryptocurrencies before the price goes up again, and it is said that AI coin is the next bullish trend.

If you have a large capital, then doing both is better. You can deposit and save while investing and explore with trading. It can be profitable if you put more time into earning knowledge about the business.

Most of the time, those who explore and work with their own success are people who use their money
the right way, using it as an instrument to grow and let that money to work for you and convert more
addition by means of trading or investment, it's all up to how you manage your finances.
Invest only if you think you have good knowledge about the investment plan. Don't take the risk blindly
rather than giving money to a scammer or mugger - try to deposit it and stay contented in what you have

Reasonable. If someone does not have enough knowledge about any sort of investment and only listens to what other people say, high chances are that his or her money will be scammed or mugged. I strongly advise anyone who intends to invest should have plan B or simply afford to lose. Playing safe is better than all-in or all-out under this financial downturn circumstance.

You need to have alternative options if, in case your investment did not materialize, make sure to have Plan B. It will give you a chance to recover or to have an alternative route.

I see both of your points and it's valid in this kind of situation. Savings is good. It will serve as assurance
that you have something in case of emergency while investing is much better to grow your money if you
know how to work with possible risk.
885  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: January 10, 2023, 09:30:10 AM
Durant misses at least two weeks, that would be a huge loss to BKN. They rather choose losing to Miami than losing Durant. Just when he broke another record and went up one more place in all time top scorers list, he could've gone one more place next game. I hope he'll return healthy soon.
Kyrie is playing great lately so I don't expect many losses from Brooklyn in this period. Sure Kyrie will use the ball more and Simmons should take more responsibility. T.J. Warren and Watanabe will get more playing time. Coach Vaughn will find a way to win games, Nets have a good squad. I don't think they'll go down just like Suns.
It's time for Kyrie to step up again as the leader of the Nets, for me he is inconsistent, but let's how or what he is going to do since he will be task to lead the team again in the absence of Kevin Durant.

Let's give credit to Coach Vaughn, he has make a turn around with this team when he takes over from Nash. And now they are one of the top teams in the East. For sure there will be some loses without Durant, but for sure they won't let this to happen to them with Kyrie and Simmons and then their surprised player like Watanabe, T.J. Warren and Nic.

They still got the rest of the squad who are capable of competing. Like what you said, Kyrie needs to step up and lead the team. He's not new to this kind of task. Let see if how he will deliver.

It will be on the side of the coach if how he will balance those players that will play with Kyrie,
I see him adjust and rotate the ball aside from taking more shots but also to bring everyone
and play together.
886  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Boxing: Artur Beterbiev vs Anthony Yarde on: January 10, 2023, 08:43:53 AM

Dangerous for Yarde to stand toe to toe and exchange with Beterviev, and I don't think he will do that. Look at Butler when he face Inoue, we thought that he will go after Inoue in first couple of round but he folded.

So I think Yarde is smart to do that, he will really need to have a lot of stamina and hopefully he will not be caught with Beterviev power punches. Otherwise it will be over and this fight is not going to distance. Just probably maintain his distance and play defense throughout the fight, although this is also very hard to do as well.

He needs to take the risk. His trainings should be more focused on how he can tight his defense while trying to throw counters that will not allow Beterbiev to control the tempo of the fight.

If he can play like Bivol who continues to read what Alvarez will try to do and just do the counter and make sure that
he will not engage to avoid being box, knowing how Beterbiev when he will get the chance to corner his opponent
it will be tough for Yarde to avoid those solid combinations.

Have you seen the Davis - Hector Garcia fight? Hector is doing great until caught by those vicious combinations by Gervonta, if Yarde is consistent he will have to be consistent in every second and minute of the fight because once Beterbiev's combinations get in that could be the end of the fight, big punchers can always end the fight in any seconds or minutes of the fight.
It's hard to deal with a puncher you need to be totally consistent and should have a strong chin and body to absorb those big punches.

Yup! He needs to have that consistency in order to compete with Beterbiev, though as a fighter, that's the first thing that they needed to establish each time they are preparing for their opponents.

Learning the strategy and creating counter while performing or executing your own fighting style,
Yarde needs to have that combination and the determination not to give Beterbiev a chance to
control and dominate, things that really needed while still have time to prepare for the fight.
887  Economy / Economics / Re: The poor people with their reasoning on: January 10, 2023, 08:32:32 AM
I don't know about it OP but your post could be a little anti-poor, not anti-poverty. We have to understand thaf oftentimes, poverty is never a choice for them to make but a culmination of circumstances that ultimately lead then to that moment. For me, it's hard to think about investing your money for the near future, when your kids are sick today and you'll have just about enough money to feed your family tomorrow. We oftentimes overlook other people's struggles just because it somehow worked out for us but you gotta admit, sometimes what separates us from them is just sheer dumb luck. Consider that.

I really don't like what the OP is saying, it sounds like he is looking down on the poor, and I agree with you that we are just getting luckier than them, not smarter than them. I wish those who are looking down on the poor to try once in the situation of the poor, I want to see how hard those people will work and how they will invest when there is no money to eat. Conversely, if those poor people were in our position, they could be more successful than we are.

I also wasn’t too keen to share in the opinions of the OP. It almost sounded to me like he was kinda putting the blame of not having any financial education and just generally being poor on the poor folks. And a lot of poor folks work really hard in their respective jobs to make ends meet. If it was all about working hard, then I know a lot of people would be billionaires today. I wouldn’t put all the blame on them for their situation.
While a lot of them may be lazy and hesitant to put in any work to better themselves and their lives, a considerable lot also work hard and try to better themselves and their lives.

Exactly, there are people who really putting everything at the table to find the best way to better their life, we can say that they are really keen on making success as they wanted to have a better future.

Not only for themselves but more on the side of having a financial stability for them and for
the whole family.

I can say that the intention is there, but the access is limited or just like you say, they are just lazy
or not willing to extend their will to find the right way.

It's the Grizzlies and trash-talking had always been a part of the game but raising a fist is for boxing, a different sport.
Kids are watching and he became a starter which means they are idolizing him now, time to change and be patient for there are young ones who are looking up to him.

Clarkson is ready to square up, he is really all the time, that's his trademark, LOL>.

Seriously, you are right because he should set a good example, maybe he was annoyed but he wasn't too smart to control his emotion, which is not good for his career and for his team. Look at Jokic, he is good in the regular season but once he is in the playoffs, the tactic of his opponent is to put a very tough defense on him to annoy him and probably make him lose his focus.

Sad to say, but that is true, they are Pro and they should keep that way, I understand that there are always emotions when playing, especially when you are aiming to win for your own pride.

But it won't help you as an individual, just like with your example, it can be used against you
if other players notice that you have that kind of emotions, they will simply use that to
keep annoying you to lose your focus.
890  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Scalping, my best trading strategy on: January 09, 2023, 07:52:52 AM
To be honest, I do not see anything positive or extremely beneficial in this strategy. Somehow I even tried to work, but nothing happened. In addition, not all companies even seem to allow trading in this way.

There is a benefit but this is a strategy used by pro traders. I don't know why OP is telling people that this strategy is best for those who don't understand TA. LOL that's the worse advice one can take but perhaps because if a trader doesn't understand the risk, I guess the less aware of the risk the more he can just keep trading in a shorter time frame with small price movements.

Your risk tolerance and your goal will probably make you decide whether scalping is good for you. There are bots for this strategy, I'm not aware which one is good but using bot for scalping I think will not be a get-rich-quick but maybe it will work as what I have heard, they are making money.

Bot also relies on how the traders wanted to execute their trading strategy, there are some who can make it useful and earn decent
amount of money in each position that they've taken.

I don't know if how newcomers will take advantage if they don't know how the market works,
the chance of losing a lot, in a small mistake that performs can damage your entire investment.
891  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: January 09, 2023, 06:40:06 AM
The Brooklyn Nets still getting more wins than losses after they beat the Miami Heat and it was an all-lucky rebound from O'Neal after a missed three-point shot from Kyrie. Though the Miami heat still have more time to steal the show, they couldn't make it because of the tight defense from the Brooklyn Nets. also, Durant has taken some serious damage in this game and he is uncertain about their next game. Hoping that it won't get affected their incredible runs this year and it's really good if he can just take a rest before going to the playoffs because they need his full strength there.

Hopefully that damage won't seat him for long, but I see your point better to give him some rest and let Kyrie and the other players to
work and try winning more games before the All-Star break.

Nets run is amazing and they really establishing good relationship around, which for sure is the factor that allowing
them to keep winning games, stars and role players are doing the best adjustments to in between for a successful
run.
892  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Scalping, my best trading strategy on: January 08, 2023, 09:58:57 AM
I admit the scalping trading strategy is a very good strategy for achieving maximum profit in the short term,
but scalping is very good for traders who have large capital if they play on the spot market because the spot market is a minimal risk thing,
but if traders with not big capital I suggest to futures trading but we also have to remember that it is very high risk of losing all your capital.

Good point, scalpers who use bigger capital have a really good chance of gaining decent profits compared to those who use a lesser amount, though risk is always around and you can't avoid that.

As long as you have the right sets of knowledge to anticipate the potential outcome, you can use this strategy,
it will depend on how you handle the risk and how you weight the possibility of getting profits.
893  Economy / Economics / Re: The poor people with their reasoning on: January 08, 2023, 09:45:15 AM
Many poor people live on their paychecks, the moment they get the paycheck all the money is already going somewhere, these type of people will be very hard to persuade to invest in Bitcoin, yet I have come across very few ones that hated their lives and want to do something for themselves, it's all about the will to create changes in one's life.

It's about the will and the determination to achieve your goals. There's still some that can be squeezed with your monthly salary. If you are too determined to work your way, chances of success are always possible.

It's tough, but if you are keen on finding the right way and the right investment for your future,
then expect that there's a good outcome to come on your way.

Who took the risk of betting for the LA Lakers?! You are lucky if you did. How much was it at ML? Because it was -10.5 for the Kings before the games started.
It ended in a high-scoring game. 136-134 in favor of the Lakers. A lot of frustration came out, especially Sabonis who was fouled out at the crucial part of the regulation and Fox asked for a foul at his buzzer-beater shot. Indeed an upset.
Lucky for those who take the risk for the Lakers, LeBron lead them in scoring and Dennis, Russ and Bryant all bring their best
in helping LeBron winning this snatch from the Kings.

Quote
1/2.
Dallas Mavericks somehow managed to get a big lead against the New Orleans Pelicans although they are really fighting back even without their star trio.
Luka Doncic, another 30-pointer triple-double.
Congratulations to all the winners.

Early lead got established by Mavs, Luka start the game with an early offensive focus, something that NOP can't handle,
Without the Trio, the game is really tough for NOP.

Congrats to all those who win today, moving forward. There are many available games tomorrow, good luck!
896  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: January 08, 2023, 06:11:46 AM
Hornets game was a bit weird. I mean you would expect Bucks to play better, but at the same time I really didn't expected Hornets to play this well neither. They played one of the best defences I have seen in a while, the fast breaks after the turnovers caused so much scoring for them, it was really an insane period.

I would expect Bucks to have some bad days, that's normal and nothing weird with that, but to have Hornets play this well? That's very rare and not going to see that again for a while. So, when you have one of the best teams in the league, playing against one of the worst, and the worse one dominates? That becomes something seriously good.
The odds on Hornet is insanely good. Huge win for those who bets on them. Games like this really happen where a top team has beaten by low seeded team. I remember 76ers nearly defeated Warriors way back 2016. That's why sometimes I love betting in underdog because of how high their odds is no matter what their record is.
Risky but worth it if you hit the heavy multiplied profits.
I think that game started at -12.5 for the Bucks but I didn't get a peek at how much the Charlotte Hornets are in the money line.
The game started well for the Hornets and all they have to do is continue the lead they made.
Giannis was not himself while LaMelo Ball was making it rain threes and making good plays for the team. Then, there's Terry Rozier who is the receiving end of most of Ball's assists.
The Hornets are known as a team who plays small ball, I guess the Bucks had a hard time doing defense as most of them are big men in their roster.

Yeah right, it woth the risk if you manage to pick the right underdog, just like what happened with the Hornets, most of those who think that Bucks will easily beat them gives that handicap.

But just like what you it's a big congratulations to those who take the risk on betting for Hornets either
ML of handicap as they really take the game away from the Bucks.
897  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: NBA 2020-2021 betting on: January 07, 2023, 06:21:16 AM
Anyone picking on the Lakers to win against the Hawks?

They are listed as the underdogs so I'm thinking to put some money on the ML @2.19. Not huge amount of money, but just enough to enjoy a late night basketball game.

James will be back and so is Bryant and so maybe they can extend their winning streak against Atlanta at their home court.

You did a great job risking your money for the Lakers, LeBron lead the Lakers as he contributed 25 points, while Dennis and Nunn also have 20+ contributions to help him to win.

Lakers protect their home court with an amazing early start, they manage to protect their good lead fromt he first
half and not to allow the Hawks to rally back. Congrats to all who take that underdog as Lakers gives them the win!
898  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: January 07, 2023, 06:00:32 AM
It was the Nets in a very close game against the Pelicans. No Zion but the Pels have the home court advantage but in the end Durant bring his A-game. I don't think that the Pels feels broken after this game. It just shows their character as a team with Zion.

NOP fought the game and almost defend their home court crowd, without Zion and Ingram, they gave Nets a tough game. CJ and Marshall for NOP while it's the Nets superstars who help the team in winning the game.

That last quarter run of the Nets really impress me while watching the game, KD and Kyrie with leading the offense
while Simmons and Claxton are really fighting for the ball and create good hassle play to help, close game till the
final minutes, it's the experienced that leads Nets to win the game.
899  Economy / Gambling / Re: Duelbits.com | Casino & Sportsbook | VIP | Instant withdrawals! on: January 07, 2023, 05:50:14 AM
Also this is not even that important during a bear market, and this is because during this part of the cycle of bitcoin there is a movement towards more conservative investments, like bitcoin and ethereum, coins which are accepted by the vast majority of casinos already.

And since there are not as many transactions then the fees are cheaper and it allows people to gamble with bitcoin and ethereum once again, so there is no need for them to convert their money to other altcoins as a first step before making a deposit in the wallet of their favorite casino, then it is not a priority to add more altcoins as a form of payment and instead casinos can concentrate on other areas which are more important at the moment.
That's true, I have been keeping my money basically in three coins so far, bitcoin+ethereum+bnb which is the big trio in everyone's minds, and even if some people may disagree then you could just show the cmc list of them and it's obvious that these are the three that everyone uses.

So, if you have these three as a casino during the bear market, you will cover everyone because no matter what you invest into, you would have some of these as well, and that's what matters. Doesn't matter if people have some small cap meme coin or whatever, if they have a bit from any of these three, they can use this casino anyway they wish to and would work perfectly.
Correct, besides while casinos want to cater to their clients and add as many coins as they possibly can, at the same time they need to be careful, as during this part of the cycle many coins will disappear, and while it is unlikely casinos will keep those coins for long to the point they could lose a lot of money, at the same time their resources are still limited.

So they could spend a lot of time adding several coins only for them to disappear in a matter of months, and in that case they might as well just appoint the developers behind the site to do something more productive with their time than to add yet another meme coin which will not last for long.

Indeed, right, why bother to add additional coin that can disappear after some years? If the casino intends to ride with the hype of the coin, it can backfire to the business.

If what you have mentioned happened, it's not just the casino who will suffer, but also the gamblers
who also rides and uses that coin to play. Either the value will experienced huge dump or the developers
will runaway and let the coin/project die naturally.
900  Economy / Economics / Re: A career - as an employee or a business owner which do you prefer and why? on: January 07, 2023, 01:16:40 AM
Well, this is the truth, many people are seeking a job and become an employee for many years until they gain ideas and experience about how the business runs. And I did too before starting a small business and with the help of my experience and market exposure, we also know how it works.

But I would say that being an employee is not a way to become financially stable, even after working for 20 years or more.
However, being a business owner also takes bigger responsibility and needs a strong management system to succeed, it is somewhat hard to imagine but the reward is great.

Going to that route of being a business owner is not easy, but if you already gain the right tools to equipt yourself in running the business, the chance is good for you to attain success.

There are employees who manage to switch from being an employee to a business owner and able to
success and enjoy their time when they have already established their business.

Not all are capable, but if you have that kind of mindset where you are not rushing things and you
are good at adjusting, you have a better chance of finding the right business to own.
