882  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is MLM ideal for bitcoin? on: April 25, 2013, 06:45:45 PM
^ Right.

There are definitely some fraudulent MLM businesses that do exist and only profit when new members join. Most MLM businesses DO reward you for building a sales team, but they are indeed selling an actual product or service.

To answer Matthew from eariler...
I personally know and have met some people who have made $1 Million plus with LegalShield. Also I know Mary Kay has created some millionaires. I'm sure Amway has too. In fact, the Orlando Magic play in the Amway Arena (or Amway Center).
883  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is MLM ideal for bitcoin? on: April 25, 2013, 03:27:58 PM
MLMs are ponzi schemes. Bitcoin's most popular activity in 2011 were ponzi schemes. The question isn't "Is MLM ideal for bitcoin", as that's a "duh". It's "is there still  a chance anyone in bitcoin isn't tired of ponzis?" and that answer is also "duh". Take a look at the lending subforum for proof.

I beg to differ... MLM and Ponzi Scheme are not the same thing, there're still some fundamental differences between them.

Taking MLM as Ponzi Scheme is somewhat like taking Bitcoin as Ponzi Scheme, focusing too much on minor similarities while neglecting obvious differences.

Pyramid scheme. Not ponzi scheme, sorry.

I LOL when people categorize MLM's as pyramid schemes. Do you realize MOST businesses are pyramid schemes?  What's wrong with a pyramid? It is simply the word scheme that gets a bad rep.

CEO
President(s)
Vice Presidents
Regional Managers
Middle Management
Regular Old Employees

Plug that into a pyramid if you'd like.

There are people who have made millions from legit MLM business. I just hate to see the good ones get lumped together with the real scams.

C'mon guys.

PayPal? Really?

Aren't we supposed to be using Bitcoin INSTEAD of them?

886  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Litecoin on Mt. Gox this month huh? LOLZ on: April 23, 2013, 09:24:09 PM
Where are all the guys that were so confident of LTC on GOX this month? Now I will say, there is still a week left in this month so I could be made a fool of, but I hiiiiiiighly doubt it.

I'm still betting LTC for anyone willing to take the challenge. Serious bets only.

What was your goal with this post?  Start a flame war?
Yes.

888  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Litecoin on Mt. Gox this month huh? LOLZ on: April 23, 2013, 05:27:40 PM
OP sounds like someone who's butthurt for not having bought LTC when they were low.
Feels good to have purchased at 0.89 USD. Not gonna even think of selling under $10.

Actually I bought in at $0.07 and $0.53 and sold at over $4.

I'm a pro-LTC guy. I just thought it was funny when everyone was so sure Gox was trading LTC this month.

Some guys believe anything they read online.

Still don't see anyone taking my bet though.

What country are you all in?

Also, is everyone withdrawing or trying to deposit?
893  Economy / Currency exchange / Re: EPiSKiNG-'s COINS!! BUYING / SELLING BTC - USA on: April 12, 2013, 06:32:19 AM
$100 spread / BTC ? Awesome!  Grin You certainly need some competition.

Totally agreed.  Also, to whoever is dumb enough to pay his asking price for btc will definitely win the next lifetime 10 year Darwins award, lol!

His prices seem pretty fair to me. If you use Bitinstant you will pay a 4% fee on whatever amount you purchase plus the $3.95 charge.
894  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: For me MtGox is Dead, where shoud I adquire Bitcoins? on: April 12, 2013, 03:16:16 AM
https://btc-e.com/
and
https://bitpay.com/

I think bitpay is the more popular one.

One of the main things I think about when buying are fees, and I try not to trade in amounts I would be really upset to lose e.g. Buying in $100 units, or $10 units, or 1BTC at a time. Then again, I suppose any monetary loss is unacceptable, but at least then you don't lose everything you were willing to put into BTC.

bitpay is selling coins now?
895  Economy / Economics / Re: IRS to come after people for selling Bitcoins on: April 12, 2013, 02:14:32 AM
Get LegalShield people. Speak to a Tax Attorney anytime you want for $17 a month. Plus many more services than that. Available in every state but Alaska.

PM me to get signed up.
896  Economy / Currency exchange / Re: [Buy/Sell] BritXchange.eu - Bank / LR / PayPal - Cheap, fast and trusted. on: April 11, 2013, 03:57:10 PM
Not to knock your hustle or anything but PayPal will figure out what you are doing eventually.

Clowns send wallet addresses and Bitcoin related info in the PP notes all the time. You are being naive if you think they don't eventaully look at that stuff. They are generally suspicious of all users who aren't eBay Powersellers or well established brands (Kmart, Target, etc.)

You'll likely get the limitation that reads: "We'd like to know a little more about some of your recent transactions."

Not hating because do what works for you, just saying protect yourself. Set up some backup Paypal's or switch to something better.

899  Economy / Currency exchange / Re: BTCPak - Exchange your Bitcoins for MP [$100, $250, $500 and $1000 MPs] on: April 11, 2013, 04:29:56 AM
Are you back in stock?

We have a few denominations in stock.  We will have more tomorrow.

Dan

Question...

Why have a $1000 MP? Don't most prepaid cards have a daily load limit of $500? Or are most of your customers loading their PayPal accounts with them?

Just curious. Thanks.
