881  Economy / Speculation / Re: If $3381 doesn't hold, may go to $2500 on: September 15, 2017, 10:20:09 PM
There were so many media issues that could be attributed to today's rush into bitcoin:
- bombing in UK train
- NKorea firing missiles over Japan

There were also other issues that could have pushed it further down:
- JP Morgan CEO calling it a fraud
- China shutting down exchanges (Although I've read this was because they want further regulation before continuing so this piece of news could be taken either way)

Do you think the dip is done or is today's rally just a bull trap?
Well I think it is done and is already on it's way to stabilize before rising. It will rise or dump more depending on how the market will move in the next 24 hours. That being said, I still thing we will see another bullish market soon because the weak hands have sold all the bitcoins they got now probably. Most Chinese also have unloaded a lot of bitcoin too so probably it will not dump more.
882  Economy / Speculation / Re: BTC is down on: September 14, 2017, 07:31:38 AM
Some of person here say the reason of decrease bitcoin is China , so what the future of bitcoin if countries joined to China
If countries began to join China in their ban, and if it turns out the banning of btc there is true and other countries follow, we will probably see the biggest dump ever we would see in bitcoin history, the dumping from 3800+$ to somewhere between 500-600$ probably but it wont happen right away maybe as some countries like Japan are enjoying the benefits of using bitcoin. I hope they wont join China soon because if that happens, we might see a dump crazier than mt. Gox's period and even crazier than my prediction because there is a probability that price might go way beyond 400$ below if that happens.
883  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin Is Falling Down? on: September 13, 2017, 05:04:59 AM
Probably because of China possibly banning exchanges soon, and because of the recent Tweet of Charlie Lee (litecoin founder) saying that China finally banned bitcoin; which we all know is untrue and unconfirmed. Though Charlie Lee already deleted the tweet recently probably realizing what he has done.

Also, the "banning" of ICOs recently also did a significant amount of drop in price.
You are right that the banning of ICO's did a significant amount of drop in price and also the possible banning of bitcoin exchanges on China all over the world created this panic and I expect to see FUD lovers like kwukduck showing up posting about bitcoin's doomsday. Either way I see bitcoin going way down more since the dump probably is just getting started. Therefore, I expect to see bitcoin's market being bearish for the rest of this month but I would also like to see the opposite if it were to happen.

Any of you here received the signature bounty? Please let me know too. Thanks.
I haven't received yet.
I also havent receive mine so for those who still didnt receive bounty yet like me, let's be patient. To those who wants to track the progress and to those who want to know if they have begun sending in batch again, here is the address used for distribution as linked by julerz12 in slack channel. https://etherscan.io/address/0xa3769fc9167420a17b9e39abeb2e9c6f2a5691fb#tokentxns

Are you sure about that? You and that other one are the only people who claim that you received your token from bounty. I checked mine I have not seen any OPT token in my MEW. I hope you are not making FUD.
I also havent received my bounty yet but they aren't making FUD because julerz12 personally claimed here that he received bounty as well, others from slack channel also confirms that they have received their bounties. I would love to see an official announcement about this from mach later this day because only he can answer if they are really distributing by batches or not. Either way lets wait we will receive our fair share of bounty soon.
886  Economy / Speculation / Re: $10,000 by 2018 is looking now like a possibility on: September 11, 2017, 11:13:25 AM
More and more and more actors from the NYC agreement are dropping like flies. Now we have BTCC out of the agreement. Along with f2pool, this is a big chunk of hashrate that segwit2x lost. Bitfury will also potentially not be mining segwit2x. This would be the nail in the coffin, not even considering Bitcoin Core 0.15 is comming out soon which everyone will upgrade to.

With segwit2x out of the picture, we can hit $10,000 easily during 2018, so hold on to your coins and stop falling for the government ban nonsense.
It might be possible, but the prediction itself is quite insane because btc rally has been continuing for a while now so maybe a dump period will come and we will see again 1000$ price. It is also possible that the rally will continue even past 2018 and I would really like to see that and I would really love to see your prediction happening OP. Even if that is the case, I am still pessimistic about it and I doubt if this will come true or not.
887  Economy / Speculation / Re: So what has China banned now? on: September 10, 2017, 11:24:18 AM
Are we absolutely certain it is fake? It endlessly tickles my mind that there never seems to be a straight answer out of China. BTCC say they've heard nothing, but if they do they'll turn towards facilitating OTC trades. Binance have banned all Chinese IPs. Chinese localbitcoins volume is way up, and the price on Chinese exchanges is still way down.

I don't think there's a definitive answer yet.
Even if there is not a definitive answer yet, We still cannot conclude that the news is not fake so therefore, it is just right to assume that the news is probably fake if it isn't really coming from official sources unless there will be announcement soon about their FUDs coming from reliable news sources. That being said, there is a probability of China ban to be true because binance is banning all Chinese IP's but there is also a chance that it isn't.
888  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin selling at $3600 on major Chinese exchanges on: September 09, 2017, 10:32:53 PM
It is insane how people got affected by the current FUD caused by some people but I wouldnt be suprise to see bitcoin selling at 3600$ now at Chinese exchanges because it is China that will ban ICO's in their country. Most of those Chinese that dumps now IMO are the ones who ran or participated in ICO's dumping to get their stash out and to convert it into fiat. At least for now we will see the real volume these exchanges have.
889  Economy / Speculation / Re: Chinese ban bitcoin news is 100% pure bullshit on: September 08, 2017, 09:03:00 PM
all Chinese exchanges are working fine and even their official announcements are coming out saying there is nothing going on over there in China.

here is an example from BTCC (a Chinese exchange and mining pool):
BTCChina Exchange is operating normally, and has not received any new directives from Chinese regulators. We'll keep you updated.

now go ahead and continue giving your coins to whales...
Let them be because FUD is a common thing in bitcoin and those who buys always try to manipulate price for their own profit specially whales. If there is something that we can do it is to not believe them and hold. We can't do something about it if others will believe their lies. Either way it is a good opportunity to buy some bitcoin after all, this FUD is making it cheaper.
890  Economy / Speculation / Re: Where do you see bitcoin 5 years from now? on: September 07, 2017, 10:53:42 PM
What are your thoughts guys or is it worth to hold Btc for 5 years.
It is worth it to hold btc for 5 years because I see bitcoin in prices far more than we can see now. I see bitcoin being used by more people around the globe and with price at least 2X from what we see now. It is also possible that it can be used on many groceries too for buying goods and can be used on malls as substitute for credit card. Even if that is the case, thjere is still a possibility that my predictions wont happen because what I am saying here is just a speculation.

Burning of unsold tokens has begun.  Wink

The team did make it up to their promise of burning those tokens.  Cool

Data on Coinmarketcap also now adjusted:

Spread the word guys:

This is a great news for us bounty hunters, why? now that the total supply has been decreased tremendously,
We can expect a growth on the value of OPTs too.
Which means by the time we get those nice bounties. Price would be higher than this past few weeks.
I believe this is why the distribution of bounties is taking this long.

Just be a little patient. Opus team will commit to their responsibilities to us bounty hunters. Smiley

Thank you for sharing the news here in bitcointalk campaign manager. Now that everyone sees it's real supply now for sure price will certainly go up and this is good for us bounty hunters. Either way any news of OPT being added to other exchanges? I would like to see it being listed on exchanges other than hitbtc and etherdelta. For now I will patiently wait for my OPT tokens.
892  Economy / Economics / Re: Maybe governments can stop bitcoin after all on: September 05, 2017, 01:13:06 PM
This is a serious discussion. I mean, after I've seen how bitcoin (and other cryptos as well) got dumped badly after an irrelevant law that makes ICOs illegal. I can only imagine now what would happen If more countries do the same thing and It could get worst by make itself bitcoin illegal. Whether we like to admit it or not, most of people would sell everything they have once its made illegal, some may continue to fight the central banking but the sad reality is that as soon as people start making profits, they will dump it and move on.
I agree with you somehow OP that this is not a laughing matter and not that far from reality. It is very possible for governments to stop bitcoin but most probably governments will not do this in the near future. Even if everyone says that government could not stop bitcoin completely, that remnant of bitcoin would be only like a shitcoin or a coin with a very low value. Even if that is the case, I think this is not the time to think about it because it is not our concern for now.
893  Economy / Economics / Re: Do we need blockchain technology? on: September 04, 2017, 09:40:22 PM
When I see there are too many ICO and shitcoins on novaexchange. I keep asking myself: do we really need blockchain technology?
Please enlighten me.

Even if that is the case I see those others as still significant because they introduce a new way to use something traditional or is something that is already there, just improved. Also even if they are shitcoins, most of them somewhat gives their users decentralization so I think we still need them. Just consider those failed ICO's as failed attempt to introduce a new way of using something or an innovative tech that have not been used by many people.
894  Economy / Economics / Re: Being a Smart Person or Strategic on: September 03, 2017, 09:36:48 PM
For me it is required to be a master of both things like of course you can not have experience if you are not going to try and some people would think it's a waste of their time if they are doing what they know already like repeating their work over and over again. So it should be in a balance.
You are right that it is required to be a master of both things in using cryptocurrencies because being strategic is not enough to be used for altcoin trading. One also needs to be smart enough to buy and sell on time. Being only a smart person is not that good because even if one is smart, it doesn't mean he/she is strategic. The same goes for being only a strategic person so it is really important to be both at the same time. It is also more convenient.
895  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What is your basic requirements to do bitcoin/altcoin job? on: September 01, 2017, 07:44:50 AM
My basic requirements to do or to have bitcoin / altcoin job is to have laptop or smart phone and of course a good internet connection. In that case you can now create a gmail account and then create an account in this forum. Of course it does end in that, when you have an account it does not mean that you can now work. No. Part of the basic requirements is to read more and more and more about bitcoin for you have knew only little things about bitcoin. Read about what is bitcoin, rules in bitcoin, etc.
After that you can now post to threads but you have to wait a long time to have your rank up so that you can work like in campaigns and you can now earn.
It is not very simple, right? But it is just the same when you wabt to get a real job. You're first at the bottom, have to learn all you have learn in the compamy then you rank up.
You are right that to earn bitcoin or altcoins, one needs to have a laptop or smartphone and a good internet connection but still I wouldnt agree to call bitcoin earning or altcoin earning a job, it isnt really a job to begin with. Why does many people mistake bitcoin as a job, when all we do is speculations and investments to make profit? Also I wouldn't treat joining signature campaigns as job after all one cant always be employed via signature campaigns.
896  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: A new bitcoin fork? on: August 31, 2017, 10:13:40 PM
Once forked from block number 478558, the assumption from commentators is that balances will double again, creating what trader Vortex refers to as “more free money.”
That is what's exciting in every fork that happens, more free money but I dont think always forking is not good for bitcoin itself. I hope they wont continue their plan but seeing the article as it is now, the planned fork will continue so therefore there will be more free money. Im sure many of us is excited for it to finish because most will have free money and looking at bcc's price, we can get a good sum from the upcoming fork but I hope it wont affect bitcoin price greatly.
897  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Did Satoshi Nakamoto transact 3000pcs bitcoin to test SW today? on: August 30, 2017, 10:02:27 AM
Reviewed a news from webo.com that "Satoshi Nakamoto seemly transacted 3000pcs bitcoin to test SW today".

If it is true, will it influence the current Bitcoin market?

For sure if that is true, it will influence a lot on the current bitcoin price because it will cause a major dump today making history repeat itself. We will see a 2013 like dump if news was really a fact but it seems to me that it is yet another FUD by someone who wants to get btc's price down. It seems to me that the transaction mentioned is just a transaction of someone wanting to test segwit or someone who wants to claim bch.
898  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What can you do with Bitcoins but can't do with Dollars? on: August 29, 2017, 09:00:28 PM
What can you do with Bitcoins but can't do with Dollars?

The best thing that you cant do with dollars that you can do to bitcoin is to send and receive payments online without the need for third parties because you can already send bitcoin from one wallet to another without using services. Another thing that I can do to bitcoin that I cant do to dollars is the ability to hold and profit in the long run. If one held dollar for a long time, the value might still be the same  or decreased whereas bitcoin's value can be higher after a period of time.
899  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: The SegWit activation was a joke? on: August 28, 2017, 09:40:29 PM
Many of you have the opinion, that segwit was not successful, even failed. So should we now swap to BCH because BitCash supporters were right and Segwit supporters wrong?
Bitcoincash supporters weren't right just because transactions are slow now because segwit isnt used yet by many addresses. There are only a few blocks who exceeded 1mb limit as linked by someone who posted here in this thread. It is activated now but it cant be fully used by the network yet. We can see how fast transactions are with segwit at litecoin. To use segwit, Follow the tip of the one who posted right above this post.

Thanks to Opus team for doing changes in signature campaign

when can we expect distribution of tokens?
I can also see that there are significant changes on signature campaign's bounty pool thumbs up for opus team for that. Distribution of tokens as far as I know will happen within 2 weeks or so maybe earlier. For those who are whining about the decreased bounty pool look at spreadsheet now I am just waiting for formal announcement if it is final or not. Hope distribution will happen sooner than I expected.
