881  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Why Ethereum so slow on: January 12, 2018, 03:52:37 PM
Hello community,
Some days ago I observed that eth network feels badly ))). The TX cost rised to the moon. So, to get faster tx I should put 60-80 gwei for it. Maybe somebody can explain what the f* is going on there? Kitties, fishies or maybe china miners are closed their factories. Any ideas?
Hey. I hope this temporary phenomenon.
and in the future everything will be fine: commission low, the transaction speed is fast, no kittens will not be.
especially, developers always work to improve qualities of Ethereum.
Ethereum is excellent cryptocurrency.
This is will be fixed as fast as possible, Please you must read this article https://bitcoinmagazine.com/articles/ethereum-killer-ethereum-20-vitalik-buterins-roadmap/
How ethereum will be implementing sharding blockchain to compete with visa. As far as i know, there will be more privacy improvement and plasma update. It's still in the development and you shouldn't feel worry about that.
882  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: ETH VS BTC on: January 12, 2018, 03:40:45 PM
I don't trust btc anymore. I have a transaction which is unconfirmed past 1 month . This is why i don't like to invest in btc anymore. Infact I even started searching for bounty Campaigns instead of btc signature Campaigns. I am pretty sure that ETH will surpass Bitcoin one day and that day is not far . I still remember that my friend had told me to buy few ETH's when the price of 1 eth was 11 USD
Please, you must try to check your transaction status if you have put around 0.0000001 btc for your transaction and that will never be confirmed. But from the technical preview and your amount must back to your account.
But ethereum is only the one can compete with bitcoin right now. Ripple becomes the second option for that.
883  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Kucoin - A World-class Cryptocurrency Exchange Platform on: January 12, 2018, 03:38:51 PM
Hong Kong is in China, some people here don't seem to realize this.

I use the exchange so it's not a dig at them, just don't want people to think they're not in China.

Yes, Hongkong is part of China, but it is much difference between Hongkong and other provinces, the policy is different, so I think it will not close by the government of China.
Not sure about that because majority of people in hongkong are denied if they are all apart from the china. Look at so many discussion about that on the internet. But the fact kucoin doesn't get any impact from the PBOC restriction and i meant that's not a part of china.
884  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: is yobit exchange scam? on: January 12, 2018, 03:21:52 PM
Hi all!
I sent 5 hours ago some ETH tokens to my ETH token deposit address on yobit, first deposit, but I can't see anything! nothing!
even 0 "awaiting deposit".
Is that normal?
thanks all
Remember total txpending in ethereum network has been decreased a lot. But if you are not seeing your transaction right now and there are two possibilities, the first yobit just put little fees for your transaction. and the second your transaction still not processed by yobit exchange site. Remember yobit is untrusted exchange site right now.
885  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Bittrex, worried! on: January 12, 2018, 03:19:43 PM
My apologies if this is not the right forum.

Can anyone tell me the problem Bittrex is having with enhanced verification? I uploaded my DL (both sides) and picture. After reading some of the posts here, I am really nervous. How long does enhanced verification take?

Are they going to steal my coins?
No ETA, but bittrex is using bot for verifying their users if you sign up with your real name and that match with your ID and then your enhanced process will take a short time to go. But if you are using a different name with your ID and there will be a lot of requirement for you to change your name to your real name.
886  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Will Ethereum lead the Cryptocurrency market? on: December 18, 2017, 02:58:08 PM
Will Ethereum lead the Cryptocurrency market? If yes, then by what time?
It will be so difficult to lead the cryptocurrency market, ethereum is not the main crypto that gives a lot of impact on another altcoin just like bitcoin. majority of the altcoin has the bitcoin pairs. that means the bitcoin is very familiar with altcoin. Ethereum will lead the tech development process rather than bitcoin as first dapps already built in it.
887  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: QTUM: Conversion from erc20 to new blockchain. on: December 18, 2017, 02:23:48 PM
Hello.
I was in long travelling. And didnt know about conversion.
I have my old Qtum tokens in Myetherwallet.
Is it possible to convert through changelly.com now?
Or i'm late. And what to do in this case?

Maybe if I send them straight on Bittrex, it will convert them automatically?
or any other ways to convert?

It will always be possible. Here you go http://support.exodus.io/article/134-qtum-erc20-to-mainnet-token-swap
It will become your responsibility to download the new ignition wallet from the qtum foundation and then you can try to read the more in the article. you can send them all directly to the bittrex wallet. it already mentioned by the qtum developer. But you can try a little part of your amount. If that goes for well and you can try to send the remaining amount again.
888  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Litecoin vs. Bitcoin Cash on: December 18, 2017, 12:30:36 PM
I would spread around all of them.

Eventually bitcoin will solve the scalability problems, but the others will pave the way and be a test ground. Especially coins like litecoin.

When BTC solve scalability issue, BCH will be useless no?
When segwit 2x + off-chain improvement through the lightning network will be implemented. But I don't know when that will be happening in the future. Litecoin and bitcoin cash just improvements version of the bitcoin with better scalability. But the bitcoin still become the main actor in the crypto. When community will be deciding to do another fork and it may help the bitcoin to fix its scalability problem.
889  Economy / Economics / Re: How to double your money using BTC? on: December 18, 2017, 12:23:08 PM
Here is a tutorial for dummies about doubling our money and not Bitcoins with scam scripts, remember no one has your best interest in heart to help you double your coins, however there is this thing we call it Bitcoin and indeed you can effectively double your fiat money with it.

But how?

-Simple, whatever you have buy Bitcoin(s) and deposit them in never before used addresses and forget about them for literally 6 long months/half a year.

-Tip: don't pay any attention to news and don't participate in crypto related forums and social medias, it will drive you crazy.

-Result: after 6 months and after your phone alarm went off since you set it to ring in calendar for exactly 180 days, open your browser and go to one of the reputable exchanges and look at the market price, if your fiat money wasn't doubled if you were to sell your Bitcoins then find me and kick my ass for bad advice. :?

Please refer to the Bitcoin price and charts to see if the price did or did not doubled every 6 months.

I can't find anything remotely similar to this can you? and if so please share with us.

Edit:
Disclaimer:
This post was intended as a quick suggestion to double your fiat money and not your Bitcoin, any body telling and promising to increase the amount of your Bitcoin is either misleading you or tries to scam you, even legit interest paying companies have their own high risk of loss.

Only idiots gamble in hopes of earning money or double their money.

I am thinking how to duplicate BTC by trading, investing, and joining bounty program with many BTT, twitter and facebook accounts. In the investment we can use altcoin and you can buy it cheaply still cheap.
That means you are a cheater

Quoted for the future reference.

If you want to duble up your money in bitcoin, wait until the value goes down then invest and just hold it for a month or a year for sure your money become duble ul or triple, you can buy bitcoin in many exchanger, goodluck bro.
Yes, but if you wanted to have a fast increase in roi you may try some gambling games or trading a cryptocurrency. For now if you bought maybe next year will double up your miney but it takes a lot of time so i suggest to try some ways.
I would not recommend you to use gambling. although gambling gives you the possibility to double your money but the risk will be big enough because you will only depend on your luck? it may be that you make a loss.
I myself prefer to trade or invest in bitcoin or altcoin. you can use your skills in analysis to double your money on this investment.

I heard someone that lost about 50 bitcoin in gambling. Rather than gambling and trade should become a better way. if you are consider gambling as a way to increase or doubled your bitcoin and it's really wrong. gambling just like a game to have fun. Don't take it seriously or that becomes a marijuana for you.
The best answer why don't just hold your bitcoin and sit in front of your computer and then take a look at the coinmarketcap site.
890  Economy / Economics / Re: question on long term prices on: December 18, 2017, 12:20:33 PM
You can't really stop anyone from cloning a coin. As you can copyright a product not the concept.
What matters is how you convince people that your coin is best than the prior one. Eg. There are alot E-commerce website selling same product but still Amazon is most used brand....reason is new players either unable to reach consumers or they are not able to convince users to buy product from them.
Until there will be a regulation but that will be only applied to the ico and not for those people are creating their own coin. If there will be no people buy it and then the altcoin that already created will be useless.
People will always try to make a clone as much as they can. The people in these days are really smart enough. It's about the competition from one to each other.
891  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: ETC is rising steadily. What do you think? on: December 18, 2017, 07:05:31 AM
I think etc is kind of danger to invest now because the price has been rising quite long, etc only rising because of the pumping and rely on trading transaction volume, it's not used in any site, so I think you need to reconsider or you need to wait for a very long term to get profit
Ethereum classic just a fork token from ethereum, that would not be surprised to see the price of the fork will be steadily increased to follow the real token. but there is no actual use of this kind of coin rather than become another pump and dump in exchange site. The fact there are so many coins were offering a better service than it.
The ETC fans do not know about that.
892  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: I've made a huge mistake on: December 18, 2017, 07:01:56 AM
Hello, I've made a mistake such a big mistake by withdrawing my eos tokens from MEW into a eth adress at kraken please tell me that i can get them back. I've already made a support
You must try to contact the kraken's support. Because kraken already listed eos on the exchange site and that means there is a chance for you to get your eos back. But if you are withdrawing your amount in your kraken account and does it seems your eos will be delivered to your account? or I just not understand about that? Can you provide the more information regarding your problem?
893  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: IOTA is comming [Future Predictions] on: December 17, 2017, 11:20:30 PM
It's always sad to miss this type of threads here. There are market experts in the forum better than any other trader outside. Anyway, it's bad for IOTA to be passed by Cardano ADA project, but it's still alive. The future is bight in IOTA because IOT market is great.
If you have done your analyzation properly and you may be bought a lot of IOTA. Iota has used the same system like byteball. Both are using DAG system which uses the server to verify the transaction.
The byteball has the same method as what already done by iota. The blckchain less system can become alternative but the main thing about that pegged to the server. That makes the zero fees.
894  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Ethereum blue on: December 17, 2017, 11:11:09 PM
I havent even heard of it, so I am guessing it is a failed project that is trying to make money off the name ethereum.
Yes, these are unsuccessful fakes in my opinion, only for speculation and it is not even on coinmarketcap Smiley
It just like ebtc and friends. how so many etokens were appearing and then die. They are all just to grab the trader's money. Just like what alreayd happened with ebtc and the developer has gone with dumping a lot of the coin to the market. This is bullshit.
How people are creating an asset and then listed on the etherdelta and we know that etherdelta was so easy to listed the new coin or ethereum asset.
895  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Crypto hype and how to be ahead on: December 17, 2017, 11:08:21 PM
Bitcoin keeps growing all times high...BTC

I think that we might have a house bubble situation of 2008. When everybody had gone buying up thinking that it is bulletproof. Relying on analysts saying that bull market is here for the next decade. There were people who kept chanting that it would keep growing and house potential is nowhere near its ultimate height. A majority of big bankers and big speakers all were seemingly convinced of it.

Then it crashed and everybody suffered. Except for few. Except for very few who analyzed it rationally and predicted the fall accurately. These few made huge returns by shortening the housing market years ahead.

I'm not the first person to voice a concern about the potential crash of "air currencies" (crypto). General advice from conservative consultants is not getting in and keeping it safe. But I wouldn't post in this forum if I thought this was a good advice.

What I'm really interested in is how to make money out of the potential crash. Those people who bet against housing market started doing it a long time before the actual crash. Years ahead. The big risk is to loose all your money while doing it. So I won't go shorting bitcoin for a year because that's just crazy.

But I'm keen to start a discussion to figure out where to put money to multiply them ten-fold in a possible crash scenario that will hurt 90% of other crypto portfolios. This bubble burst might only come in 6 months, 12 months, 24 months - nobody knows. But I want to be prepared to gain on it.

What are your ideas on how to play the edge and be ahead   Huh Huh Huh
2008? Even the bitcoin released or fully operated in 2009. that doesn't make sense to see the bubble situation in 2008 and what do you mean about that? if you are worried about the crash and why not just to invest your amount in the bitcoin. because the crypto involved high risk and it becomes your responsibility to play in the crypto and majority of users were agreeing on it. All of the potential investment will be involved the risk.
Go to the gold as an alternative option for you. If you are worrying about the crash.
896  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Best offline Ethereum wallet. on: December 17, 2017, 08:46:37 AM
Hello bitcointalk users,I would like to know some of the best offline wallets for storing Ethereum.I only know of one online wallet MEW.
It would be great if you all could suggest me some offline wallets.
hardwarewallet, paperwallet (Just print your MEW privkey and save it), you can try to build your own hardware wallet through USB if you can but that will need a lot of effort. The best thing to use the paper wallet instead keep it on your computer. Another thing about you cna try to download the dekstop wallet and then turn off the internet from your computer.
897  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: CPU Mining 2018? ??? on: December 17, 2017, 08:44:32 AM
I would like to mine cpu minable coins. I need to know about coins available for cpu mining and with good scope in future.

Thanks in advance  Smiley
I will not suggest you to do that caused by it will be burning your CPU. You just give a little return for your cpu mining and there is a possibility about your CPU will be broken asap. Majority of altcoin used GPU to mine it. and rather than use your GPU and use your GPU will better than it. You can try to take a look at so many cases about that.
898  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: BITCOIN TRADING: IS IT SAFE? on: December 16, 2017, 12:03:22 PM
It is risky like any other investment. Maybe even more risky because its price is very volatile.

However, if you mean that someone can hake bitcoin exchange with your bitcoins and steal them, then it is also possible with the bank account, isn’t it?

Bitcoin trading is not totally safe, but that doesn’t mean it is not worth to try it. What you think?

Bitcoin as the number one in the crypto and I wouldn't be surprised about it. About the hacked problem of the exchange site and it still becomes a big question. Some people said that just like a manipulation. And another people said that pure a criminal case by hackers. Every investment place has its own risk potential and that can't be blamed. But if you are not having a lot of experience in bitcoin trade and just not do to it.
899  Economy / Economics / Re: Is Bitcoin now the biggest bubble of all time? on: December 16, 2017, 09:41:34 AM
Yeah. Bitcoin is now the biggest bubble of all time becuase its value is unpridectable nobody knows if bitcoin is what exactly amount reach. Bitcoin is bounceback and after that he can fly to the moon. Bitcoin is the biggest and strongest coins of all time.

Price is unpredictable, not value, they aren't the same. And in terms of price, this exponential increase over a short period of time does make it look like Bitcoin is in a bubble. Bitcoin is not only scarce, but also has undeniable utility. It is believed that Bitcoin is the future of money. Currently around 0.01% of the world population uses Bitcoin so if we assume that the current price is determined on the basis of people willing to pay for the future value of Bitcoin, value-based pricing then from this perspective it might not be a bubble. Based on this we might be in the initial stages where people are getting to know about Bitcoin which would not only allow them to be part of the global financial economy, but would also make them financially independent.

Here's an interesting take on why Bitcoin's current price doesn't reflect its true value.

Quote
The value of Bitcoin has nothing to do with its exchange rate.

When Bitcoin was worth exactly zero dollars, it already essentially solved the previously unsolvable 30-year old computer science problem called the Byzantine General’s problem — how to reach agreement with other agents over an untrusted network of communication. That value proposition was there from day zero, even if the price of one Bitcoin was zero.

Just like how the value of your paper money is not in the paper itself but in the government or authority that issues this paper, the value of Bitcoin is not in the tokens used to exchange with each other, but in the network that allows this exchange to happen.

The price of Bitcoin is the least interesting thing about it. The value of Bitcoin is in its ability to do what it set out to do, and do it best.

Bitcoin is now the 6th most valuable circulating currency in the whole world, and it did this in about eight years, with roughly only about 0.01% of the world’s population owning or using it.

So, we could be watching one of the biggest financial bubbles in history unfold with this cryptocurrency mania. Yet on the other side of the coin, there is also the non-trivial possibility that we are witnessing something remarkable happening before our very eyes — the return of the separation of cash and state.

Will crypto markets crash in between? Most likely. In the same way the dotcom bubble burned over six trillion dollars back in 2000, Bitcoin and cryptocurrencies will probably go through the same cycles. Bubbles establish the true players in the market and eliminate all the ones who are there for a quick buck. What’s important is that the technology is real, and it is here to stay.

So what’s going to happen? Bitcoin’s upward trend becomes logical once you understand the many layers of the technology behind it. Add to that the thousands and thousands of people who, for their own financial self-interest, will work day and night and fight tooth and nail to keep the fire going, building the network, protecting the network, being the network, and you’ve got an unstoppable force or innovation and value pushing us towards the next evolution of money.

But to answer the question, no one can predict what is going to happen.

https://decentralize.today/dont-fall-for-the-hype-why-bitcoin-s-10-000-price-doesn-t-reflect-its-true-value-6b42a59fce0a
Bitcoin value depends on the market movement. That means if the price will be changing anytime due to the demand of the bitcoin market. Crypto doesn't have any actual value. To say about the bitcoin will have its actual value will become another senseless thing. If the fact we see the volatility of the bitcoin becomes a real evidence about it. The actual price can't be determined. that's why some expert said about the bitcoin price limit should be the sky itself.
900  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: x10 returns quickly on: December 16, 2017, 09:33:16 AM
Hey guys was wondering what are the chances of hitting x 10 returns with lower valued altcoins and is it possible to be done in a short time frame Huh?
It will be so difficult to be done 10x return for your investment through altcoin just in short time. The more information will be provided on this website. icostats.com How the majority of the people got a lot of the return for the longterm holders. you can see various coins with all of its track since the price of ico until the recent price.
If you can choose the right project with very very big hype and it is possible to gain 10x just in a short time. But it looks impossible with the latest crypto condition.
