881  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Litecoin A Relic of The Past on: August 26, 2014, 12:44:25 AM
Litecoin days are numbered, with no true innovation and being just a poor copy paste coin, I'm sorry but you don't have what it takes to hold the 2nd position for much longer, you stand no chance!

Some of you can start crying and whining all you want but it will not help you, just be sure you will not be the last ones to jump off the ship.

It might take a few days, a few weeks or even a few months, in any case this thread will close with a "I told you so!" In the meantime lets hear your whining and crying!!!

882  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Registering a BitsharesX account on: August 25, 2014, 12:44:21 PM
I do not understand how the Wallet/Account/Registration system works. I have spent some time on the forum, and been trying to register an account for 8 days.

Can anyone point me to a complete explanation of BTSX and how the client software operates ?

This might help

Was there a spesific problem you encoutered while trying to register?

What is happening? Why the trading volume is so low?

887  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Bitshares - The Great Satan on the Blockchain on: August 23, 2014, 08:00:37 AM
biTshares is another 2.0 pump as far as I can tell.  You're trying to tell us it's this popular thing but all I see is 90%+ of it being dominated by a few funds in China ~ classic pump and dump.

biTshares people have invaded Bitcointalk and many crypto forums to try to plead people to get into the pump.   Roll Eyes

It's beyond ridiculous as bitassets hasn't even been released yet nor is it proprietary technology.  When the Chinese funds stop pumping then there'll be this air sucking sound, biTshares will stagnate and NXT will implement its' own collateral and pegging system if it's actually a demanded feature and not a hype speculation like anonymity was for the past four months.

Congratulations biTshares it took you months to copy NXT's asset exchange (with a few whistles added).  NXT is still the most innovative crypto.

Nxt is inferior to bitshares, you are really pissed off because you CAN'T copy bitshares!!

under this line you can continue with your lies, fud and misinformation you have a mission after all...

Ok, you convinced me, the 5th place is all yours in coinmarketcap...

I have some good news for you, when Ltc starts to fade away you can fight with Ripple for the 3rd place, bitshares will be in 2nd and Ltc will fall into oblivion.

This is exactly why BitShares will succeed, such a great read.

Overstock to Cryptostock

This a comment from Bitshares people, not actually any commitment and support from Overstock.

If they do it will be big, of course. Have you been in touch with them and got any hints?

come-from-above buys Hero accounts ?
makes topics advertising Bitshares ?
hmmm LOL

if he is interested i am not .

You have plenty of time to start learning about bitshares, don't dismiss them before you do your research. Technology advancement can't stop to just bitcoin. Sometimes you sound like all those early bitcoin-naysayes that dismissed bitcoin because of their lack of vision.

A holder of a coin/share will always say "get in if you're smart". How about you tell us WHY to get in rather than TELLING us to get in.

Below are some usefull links to start reading/watching...
If you want my biased opinion which should not count for much anyway, bitshares by far has more potential than anything else.
Having said that, everyone should do their own research and decide for themselves...

I've never had any trouble importing btcoin or pts wallets into the bitshares x platform. What error do you get when attempting to import?

I'm not actually trying to import wallets but different private keys. The first is my Angel Shares donation blockchain account, which won't import whether I use the GUI or the command line interface. The import happens, it takes place and rescans for about 10 minutes, yet no funds are added.

The second problem is trying to move BTSX from Bter. Bter is telling me my bitshares account isn't registered when it definitely is.

And just to make sure... your AngelShares donations happened prior to the Feb 28th deadline?

No, I bought them on July 18th, because that was the 2nd to last day to buy them.

http://www1.agsexplorer.com/

"The BitShares AGS Campaign has successfully ended at UTC 2014-07-19"

Angelshares or Bitshares-PTS(Protoshares) you got after Feb 28 can't give you any btsX, you will get a share of all future dacs(DNS, VOTE, MUSIC, etc...)   that have a snapshot date after the day you got your angelshares.

I had the same problem with Bter but after some time I managed to move my funds, If you still have problem send them a "ticket"

Thanks, and where is the standard place where people purchase Bitshare from?

Is a gpu miner posible for riecoin or its difficult as it was for primecoin ?

I believe that a gpu miner could help this coin, especially now that scrypt asics will move lots of miners to non scrypt coins
900  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][RIC] Riecoin, new prime numbers POW coin, CLIENT UPDATE v0.8.7 AVAILABLE on: March 23, 2014, 02:34:50 PM

Thanks

SOLO or POOL?

In Primecoin, I made less money on ypool vs connecting 100 VPS servers and solo mining primecoin

What is your take on this for large VPS (CPU Core) farms?

Me? Pool.

I suppose if you have large VPS farms, you should make more from solo.

Btw,
Riecoin's block reward is 50 vs Primecoin's current reward of 8 or 9. An estimate of current pricing on exchanges, XPM is 10x the price of RIC. So you have to mine RIC at about 2x the rate more than XPM..

There are some differences between primecoin's and riecoin's "blocks"

Primecoin has 1 minute blocks that each pays 9,25 coins, so per 10 minutes  that is the "default bitcoin block" its a total of 92.5 coins.
Riecoin has 2.5 minute blocks that each pays 50 coins, so we have 200 coins per 10 minutes.
