881  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: [BURST] What is the Dymaxion? on: December 17, 2017, 02:33:05 AM
The Proof of Capacity Consortium has released another clue on what the Dymaxion really is. But with that image, it only brings us more questions.

Having said that, can you guess what technologies are in those boxes? I would say the box at the bottom is BTC.

882  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: iOS woes BitWallet--> BCoiner(!!!) on: December 17, 2017, 02:24:57 AM
Can you format your post better? Its very hard to read unless you are trolling and doing that on purpose. No one in the forum can completely help you even if they wanted to.
883  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Burstcoin [BURST] Price Speculation on: December 17, 2017, 02:05:52 AM
I'm sorry. But we know for a fact that anyone will not follow my advice anyway. My purpose on campaigning for don't buy Burst, its risky, is to discourage speculators from expecting more than what Burst is.

Another reason, we need more believers to rally the cause of Proof of Capacity. Not the usual pump and dumpers. To prove my point, look at the chart. The price is stable but going up at the same time. Thats a good and pump and dump free market.

Dont buy Burst, its risky.

Maybe a Go away, speculators! would be more straightforward then?

Its not that simple lol. Maybe the correct word to use instead of speculators would be pump and dumpers. Burst doesnt need them for now because the price and volume are still low and very vulnerable to manipulation.

What Burst needs is more supporters, fighters of the PoC cause. Believers.

885  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: What’s Better, Changelly or Shift; or should I avoid both? on: December 16, 2017, 03:15:17 AM
Both are good if you want a quick trade without the nuisance. If you are willing to pay for the fees then use one. Dont be under the impression that fees of Shapeshift, under normal circumstances, differs so much with Changelly or vice versa that it would influence you to use one over the other.

Having said that, use one and go.

Rico666, but most of the people who follow the cryptocurrency market base an altcoin's value in BTC, not USD, thats why the are unhappy lol. Having said that, Burst is still way down from where it was against BTC.

Lets hope the Dymaxion and other upgrades bring some interest back in Burst as a platform, not as a commodity for speculation.

888  Economy / Economics / Re: How could futures impact bitcoin? on: December 16, 2017, 02:36:20 AM
I don't fully understand the Futures market.
How could futures impact bitcoin and its price?
This derivatives is only to be paid in cash and it'll affect the price is institutional buyers would love to influence the price on their own, and this could be a big deal later on.

Wrong. To influence the price of BTC, the institutional traders, not just buyers because they also sell, would have to buy real BTC. This is counterproductive if they also trade BTC futures. The futures market is maybe only good as a hedge to lessen risk for institutional investors who already hold BTC.

What do you mean by real BTC? there is no fake BITCOIN, lol, only real ones exist. The market of the cryptocurrencies and the market that we have in the real world is going to adopt bitcoin for sure in the near future, once they have realized what bitcoin really could do and what it could help them to make this society develop into something better, bitcoin is the future.

I know you know what I already mean. But if you didnt know trading futures contracts are not the same as holding BTC. Thats why I said REAL BTC because some of our fellow forumites doesnt care about the difference between a futures market and a cryptocurrency market like Poloniex.
889  Economy / Services / Re: GRAFT - Credit Card and Crypto Payment Processing Network | Signature & Avatar Campaign | [OPEN] on: December 15, 2017, 03:58:13 AM
Hi All,

All the BTC and grf:token payments for week three have been processed. Thanks everyone for supporting Graft Network project! Looking forward for working with you guys during upcoming weeks!

Best Regards,

GRAFT Network Team

Payment also received, thanks!
Could you also adress the price issue with the GRF tokens?

https://www.graft.network/ico/

They reduced it to $0.11 per token.
890  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Hitbtc Error 502 on: December 15, 2017, 03:51:09 AM
today i can't access hitbtc for about 10 hours, the site always displays " Bad Gate way : Error 502 ", untill i write this thread it is still "Error 502". What happen to hitbtc Huh

I can connect to HitBTC with no problems. The site is a little slow but maybe thats because I am using an old underpowered laptop.

Rahar02, before you believe in those accusations you should wait and check whats really going on. Like the Bittrex accusations, most of them are from people who dont have the necessary IDs to verify their multiple accounts. Why that is, I dont know. Maybe they are unemployed.
891  Economy / Marketplace / Re: Crypto currency VISA / MasterCard ? on: December 15, 2017, 03:05:02 AM
As reported on financemagnates.com, Bitcoin Cash Visa Debit Card is Coming Soon, it appears that BCH is also trying to partner with banks and card companies to better serve its users.

Not sure if that is good or bad and how reliable the BCH blockchain is. I heard the miners come and go to where its more profitable to mine.

The reason I choose BURST. Cheesy
https://thenextweb.com/hardfork/2017/11/23/bitcoin-mining-electricity-africa/

Proof of Capacity is an environmentally friendly algorithm than Proof of Work.
There is no doubt that the times will come when people need Proof of Capacity.

Good for you. I am happy to see someone made a decision based on the rewards of Proof of Capacity than making them based on the speculation of market price and value.

We need more supporters like you to rally Burst and PoC.
894  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Burstcoin [BURST] Price Speculation on: December 15, 2017, 01:50:42 AM
You are expecting too much. We dont know what the Dymaxion is. It might only be a plan on how and where to take the platform in the coming years, not an upgrade. Having said that, the Burst community might also not be happy with what they might see when the Dymaxion is revealed.

Dont buy Burst. Its risky. Wait for the announcement on December 27 first before making decisions.
895  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Bitcoin casinos on: December 14, 2017, 02:46:49 AM
If Collosus999's idea of earning BTC or any form of money is to roll dice in casinos then he should have his head checked by a psychiatrist. Something is wrong in there lol.
896  Economy / Economics / Re: Bitcoin - New form of Budget for poor countries on: December 14, 2017, 02:37:16 AM
shield132 only saw the gains but failed to see the failure when there are losses, and there will always be losses. What if the price of BTC fell by 2x? That is the national budget cut in half.

Face it, BTC is not stable enough to be a regular currency.
897  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Burstcoin [BURST] Price Speculation on: December 14, 2017, 02:09:03 AM
I found that theres more interest in Burst on Twitter as seen via Stocktwits. In there, I found this chart analysis. Look and decide for yourself.

But without knowing what the Dymaxion really is, dont buy Burst. Its risky. Wait for the announcement first before investing.

898  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: ✈✈✈ How High Will Bitcoin Fees Get? ✈✈✈ on: December 14, 2017, 01:49:44 AM
Quote
But practically speaking, a good number of BTC users would prefer to wait and pay for a cheaper fee or wait for the unconfirmed transactions to go down.

Right. But lets say, hypothetically, the price of BTC starts to crash. And so many people are cashing out that the fees to cash out .001 BTC - .01 BTC are more than the BTC is worth. Couldn't that become a problem with liquidity and cause addresses with small investments to lose it all? Keep in mind I am speaking in hypothetical terms of there being some type of crash or major sell off.

I dont think thats possible. Transaction fees are measured in satoshis per byte. The smaller the transaction amount and therefore the size, the smaller the fees will be.

The fees will still be too big but not over the amount of the transaction.
899  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: [BURST] What is the Dymaxion? on: December 13, 2017, 12:59:38 AM
Burst coin is dumped for a while, so hope this could make it better again. Burst coin community is great, the only thing I dont like about this coin is the conflict between dev team before.

But that proved that Burst is bigger than any developer team. Its good to see it still chugging along and now in the capable hands of the PoCC. Things are brighter this time!

Now for the latest update from the PoCC on Twitter.

PoCC on Dymaxion

  • There will be no hard or soft fork on December 27th. We worked hard to stabilize the network, so we're not going to torpedo it. While forking will be inevitable in the near future, it will happen in a controlled manner.
