881  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: The Rise of DeFi — A Temporary Threat to Major Coins? on: August 15, 2020, 07:51:58 PM
Many of these old coins are going to die this bullmarket reason being that they offer nothing to the space and no one is actually using them, those that rebrand and adapt to the present reality would survive but those that do not would die, just check the front page of coinmarketcap in 2015 and 2016 and you will understand what I am saying
882  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: What we can expect the price of eth at the end of 2020? on: August 15, 2020, 07:43:29 PM
I think Ether price would hit $600 this year, though I do not expect the Eth 2.0 to launch this year and that would push the price above $1000 next year. The only thing that can prevent the growth of Ethereum is Ethereum is the team fail to solve the scaling issue before a new blockchain come up with this solution. This would be a very big blow to the Ethereum community because that means teay have lost the advantage they have in the space
883  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Chainlink is a shitcoin and will dump to zero on: August 15, 2020, 07:39:16 PM
I think it is foolishness and injustice  to rubbish contribution of Chainlink to the space especially DEFI space, you may disagree about the price but to say it is going to Zero is rubbish talk. I remember when people said Ethereum was overvalued when the price was $7 then, I did not buy we all know what later happened to the price, you can't fight the market just move with it
884  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: YAM - hot topic on twitter : What do you think? on: August 13, 2020, 08:48:38 PM
Some of the Ethereum developers that shill this project need to take part of the responsibilities for this failure, I believe they knew what due diligence that goes into releasing a platform and not to talk of the one that would be holding people's fund. A lot of people have lost money in this and I just hope we all learn our lesson
885  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: MCO & CRO utility combined, Is it good or not? on: August 13, 2020, 08:31:25 PM
I really do not buy into the idea of teams just creating more tokens just to pump their bag, I have seen this to be a trend now, not just MCO too alone. The two tokens seems to be doing well now and time will tell if this is justified, because most of these developers are just printing money out of the thin air
886  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Trx or Eth ? on: August 12, 2020, 08:59:20 PM
Unless you want to deceive yourself, Ethereum is far ahead of any smart contract project i the space, just look at the coinmarketcap and you see for yourself, there is a reason why most of these DEFI projects are picking Ethereum ahead of other platforms. I can see Ethereum challenge Bitcoin  for the first position in this bull market
887  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Tokens (Altcoins) / Re: sBTC - The future of DeFi. on: August 12, 2020, 08:47:53 PM
DEFI is the order of the day and I am not surprise seening people trying to build the idea around BTC, but the issue is that it is not built on Bitcoin network, we all know RSK team is doing something like this but it is on Bitcoin network which is a plus to the team unlike this sBTC project, wishing you the best
888  Economy / Economics / Re: Wealth distribution, and tragedy of the commons. on: August 11, 2020, 03:20:06 PM
This  is where financial education comes in, some people think if they have a million Dollar they are set, but most people have millions of dollar and have lost all the money. The difference between a rich and a poor is what they both prioritize.
889  Economy / Economics / Re: Are people losing faith from centralized organizations? on: August 11, 2020, 03:08:27 PM
I don't think there is anyone that believe Government again, this people are politicians and serve the need to selected few of the society. as more people learn about Crypto and understand it the more Central government lose control, the world is seeing a shift in the governance system and I expect this trend to continue
890  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Donald Trump signs executive orders banning TikTok and WeChat on: August 11, 2020, 03:01:33 PM
Wechat and TikTok are both collateral damage here, Google and FaceBook are both guilty of data harvesting, the only thing I feel China has done wrong is the closed market it is practicing, if you ban other companies from your countries from doing business you don't need to be crying foul when you received the same treatment from others.
891  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: CMC: Top DeFi Tokens by Market Capitalization on: August 10, 2020, 12:53:22 PM
There are alot of factora they considered like:
Is it a decentralized exchange,
Is the project providing data to decentralized exchange like Chainlink and Oracle,
Is the project offering yielding farm.
I am even surprise that BNB is not on the list because of BiananceDex, which is a decentralised exchange.
892  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Can idena.io be the best altcoin in 2021? on: August 10, 2020, 12:41:29 PM
I know you are shilling your bag and you wish the price pumped above $1 but after looking into the project there is nothing really novel about it expect that common PC can be used to mining it. A project that is going to be the best must offer something different than its peers and I have not seen anything new here, correct me if I am wrong.
893  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: FREE - Save Time, Get all the Crypto Influencers Updates in One Place on: August 10, 2020, 12:37:44 PM
This is how the world works, some people are in position of power and what they say move the market, this is a common thing in crypto that most of these VCs have the developers ears. I am just reading about Bitcurate but you need to learn better ways of passing across information without it being too wordy.
894  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Most of The DEFI coins are 50% up in last 7days!! on: August 10, 2020, 12:25:06 PM
This is what happen when people throw away reason when investing, some people just want to buy anything DEFI because this is what is in vogue now and this madness could even surpass the ICO crazy IMO. If we are just entering the bull market and prices are moving up this way what would end up will be a zero sum game for most people
895  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: DeFi hacks [history] on: August 10, 2020, 12:07:34 PM
All these hacks are bound to happen with DEFI space just getting the attention recently hacker are bound to look for vulnerabilities in the system and exploit it but the main question is if the team would learn from mistakes and make the space better
896  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Ethereum Classic Second Attack $1.68M Out on: August 09, 2020, 01:14:08 PM
For the second attack ETC team need to take responsibility, how can second attack happens with almost the same attack tactics, the funny thing about it is the team employing legal team to look into it. This is my advice to all these small POW network, change to POS it is not a crime, safety first
897  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: DeFi - the niche within a niche and incredibly small community on: August 09, 2020, 01:08:52 PM
I agree wit you this is a serious problem in the DEFI space and most of them are not offering any value yet to project they are likely to gain more users and strong community in future, if this DEFI boom is not well managed it could be a zero sum game and a lot of people would end up losing money. Once most of these locked tokens are released and the demand side is not strong the dump on the market would bring the card down
898  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is Chainlink destined for New Highs in 2020? on: August 09, 2020, 01:00:06 PM
What is so special about Chainlink? Or what makes it different from all the second tier altcoins currently circulating in the market? I have done a bit of research on this coin. And it looks like the only major use with Chainlink is for speculative trading. It went up by more than 50% today. But this rise is not matched with any real life increase in demand or acceptability. The spike was entirely due to speculation.

Nothing really but the issue here is not about the market it is providing, some people would argue what is special about Ethereum that the like of Tezos and other competitors can offer. The momentum behind chainlink is so strong now that people are predicting it to hit $100 this year, DEFI has also helped the hype but for me I won't bet against the market
899  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: ICO increasing rapidly on: August 09, 2020, 12:43:35 PM
It is true the sentiment around ICO is changing, this was what I told my friends then that we just need like 5 ICOs perform well then the sentiments will change to positive but care need to be talking not to get greedy easily, I do not buy into the auction model some f these teams are employing because it only favours the early investors and the VCs, the only good thing now is the lock up period that is longer than before and help the project to find its feet in the market
900  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What if Tether (USDT) flips Ethereum (ETH)? on: August 08, 2020, 07:16:05 PM
What most people do not understand is that USDT makes more sense to people especially developing countries that their currencies have lost its value against USD because of inflation, since they do not have access to USD from their Banks it makes sense to hold USDT or any stable coin pegged against Dollar than holding Ethereum that has it value moving up and down
