~~Snip~~

1. They might change their ToS and include some drastic changes to limit people's freedom.

If that ever happens , It could lead to a disaster. I fair the worst , the same thing that happened to Coinbase with IRS could happen here If It's not done right , that's for sure.
8802  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What is better? To gamble or to invest? on: December 03, 2016, 03:59:42 PM
I think investing is more risky than gambling because most of investing websites are just scam, but in gambling you have better chances to make your bitcoin grow. How about you guys what do you think?

If by investing you mean "ponzi schemes" then that's never recommended , I don't suggest gambling either It's just a matter of time before the player becomes greedy and end up losing everything or In best cases , he will win , stop then comeback later to lose it all. Instead , I prefer the real investing , which is buying BTC for the long term and HODL then sell whenever the price looks good.
8803  Bitcoin / Hardware wallets / Re: looking for list of hardware wallets and some feedback on them on: December 03, 2016, 03:35:23 PM
Yes there is more hardware wallets then the ones listed on Bitcoin.org but those ones are the most used , I made a thread about this subject a few days ago as I was planning to get one so this could help you make your mind : https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1694251.0;topicseen
Other hardware wallets that worth mentioning are https://choosecase.com/ and Opendime.me

8804  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: How to trade bitcoin(help) on: December 03, 2016, 03:22:09 PM
If you want to be involved in BTC/Altcoins then you should start from Poloniex or Bittrex. The rule is pretty simple , you buy low and sell high. I'm probably making it sound easy while It's not , you should invest in ICOs and alts that have big potentials to grow like ICNs or Safecoins and not just invest randomly.
If you want to trade with only BTC and fiat then the same rule applies , It's probably a little bit difficult as you have no reputation on the forums to start trading but It's always possible to buy from third party services and HOLD for long term. I prefer this method personally.
8805  Economy / Digital goods / Re: {GIFTCARDS UNLEASHED} Obtain GC at 90% off| Make Profit | *HIGHLY VOUCHED* on: December 03, 2016, 02:06:59 PM
I don't want to be rude but just making sure I understand this correctly , 90% off the actual price seems to be too good to be true and I want to know what gift cards are possible to get ? anyone ? I've seen on one of the reviews above that It's possible to not find a dealer to deal with , would that result on a failure of using the method or It's guaranteed to work ?
8806  Economy / Services / Re: Get Active Bitcoin Subscribers Youtuber New on: December 03, 2016, 01:34:46 PM
Each user who submit his channel , gets it added to your website ? I don't think this would work to get subscribers active in BTC as people should visit your website in order to find them , and someone won't simply subscribe to random channels that he didn't see their videos... channels should have a decent amount of videos and nothing random , they should be high quality otherwise no one is going to subscribe to anyone else.
8807  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: [HELP] Which is cheapest way to remit funds from India to foreign countries? on: December 03, 2016, 12:59:37 PM
I don't know any of freecharge and paytm so I would suggest going with Amazon gift cards for sure , It's possible to find sellers in the digital goods section who sells GCs in bulk and with a cheap price (say 7$ BTC for 10$ Amazon gift card) so you will make profit instead of losing while transferring the funds.
8808  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Cointelegaph was publishing scam promotion. on: December 03, 2016, 09:13:51 AM
They advise that the article is sponsored, that is, It is the responsibility of the person who paid the article to be published and of yours as a reader to do research before believing the things that are in the sponsored article.

I am against scammer and thieves, but no one can accuse a news site that post sponsored articles.

Then why we don't see Coindesk or other known Bitcoin news sites doing the same thing ? An obvious scam , is easy to spot (I'm not saying that those who use the services have no responsibility but It's CT fault). In fact , writers should have the ability to spot scams more then we do because they are used to write about those services etc... but It doesn't look like It's the case for CT.

Neither anyone had an idea of their intentions.
Well, there's been a pretty critic discussion about Coince very soon (reference: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1365561.0),
so people did have an idea about what was going to happen.
I wonder why that thread is not open for further discussions ? But anyway, that makes sense because only after interference from the community we concluded it is a ponzi.Maybe cointelegraph doesn't invest as much time as they should be before promoting obvious scams.

I thought enough evidence was posted on the topic that is no longer needed to post more.
8809  Economy / Digital goods / Re: SELL ACC GOOGLE DRIVE, ONE DRIVE, LYNDA, ELEGANT, Grammarly, mail server (EDU) on: December 03, 2016, 08:26:36 AM
I suppose you mean "Elegant theme" when you say Elegant accounts ? If yes then I might be interested depends on the price. I know there is a Cyber monday going on at the moment so wondering how low you could go
8810  Economy / Speculation / Re: BTC at $1,000 by Christmas? on: December 03, 2016, 08:11:21 AM
That would be definitely something hard to achieve in three weeks as SegWit will probably won't be activated by then and I don't see anything else that could boost the price at the moment other then developing bitcoin more.
8811  Economy / Web Wallets / Re: BTC wallet with multiple independent addresses, online on: December 03, 2016, 07:38:16 AM
in Blocktrail.com support open service private key or not
because i can't find about private key in Blocktrail.com
you can see about private key in Blocktrail.com

It's not possible to see the private keys since It's both multi signature and HD wallet , It's however possible to recover your wallet In case something bad happens to the service Itself : https://blog.blocktrail.com/2015/11/blocktrail-wallet-recovery-tool/
They should've gave you a PDF document to download and print when you first made the wallet , that should be used to recover your BTCs .
8812  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Cointelegaph was publishing scam promotion. on: December 03, 2016, 06:00:09 AM
It's not like they are advertising them in purpose but they simply advertise whoever pays the most without giving a damn about the readers of their blog.

I'm going to list a few sites that cointelegraph advertised and turned into a full scam :

- HashOcean
- Biteminer
- Hashing24 (not yet but there is a scam accusation at the moment)
- BitPlutos (more then one scam accusation against them)
- Coince
- SearchTrade

and there is a lot more. I guess It's worth reading this article made by a former writer : https://medium.com/@iandemartino/more-on-cointelegraph-by-a-former-writer-b4e1058b37ca#.bcaxjgfm0
8813  Economy / Exchanges / Re: List of bitcoin debit cards on: December 03, 2016, 05:45:21 AM
In case you was planning to remove Wirex then you probably shouldn't for the moment. A few hours ago , they announced that all the issues they had has been fixed : https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=917350.msg17064285#msg17064285 and also for this weekend only , everyone can get the cards for 50% off !
8814  Bitcoin / Mining / Re: Pros and Cons of Starting Bitcoin Mining Farm, No More Child’s Play on: December 03, 2016, 05:32:14 AM
I honestly didn't pay attention to the "Sponsored" word on the picture ,I'm sorry. I will be closing this topic now but everyone should know that Cointelegraph indeed have a history on advertising scams , If I shared this It's because I thought It's helpful.
8815  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: Bitcointalk Account price estimator on: December 02, 2016, 06:40:32 PM
I added an indicator for SMAS blacklisting. If the account being priced is on the SMAS blacklist, it will be marked as so for both Normal and Merchant modes.

I have also fixed the posted address scanner so that it gets all posted addresses. Apparently it was not doing this before.

Perfect! That's great news. I also just noticed you got rid of the post quality which I think is a great move. It really only showed that someone posted what, more than 75 characters? Quantity of characters in a post ≠ quality posts so good for you for getting rid of it.

It wasn't fully removed , he only removed it from the display because people was taking it so seriously (mostly while buying and selling accounts) or enrolling into signature campaigns .

8817  Economy / Digital goods / Re: Selling Vac Banned Steam Account 0.005 BTC on: December 02, 2016, 04:15:15 PM
a VAC bans touch all games made by valve even If you didn't cheat on them ? If for example I play Dota II or I buy other games (such as CS:GO) , will the new games be affected as well ?
8818  Economy / Service Announcements / Re: Ebooks.wtf 3,200,000+ ebooks, buy with bitcoin, 94 to 99.9% off amazon prices on: December 02, 2016, 01:38:46 PM
It used to but that way but it confused people since not many know what bitcoin is, use a disposable email for your privacy

Site tells people to topup by small amount the first time like $1 so they figure out how it works.

You can download from the free site without registration
Code:
https://openlibrary.io
Tho the "cheap" collection is 5x larger and has Wishlist

I'm trying openlibrary.io , If I type "Xamarin" I get nothing found for this query which logically means there is nothing found ... , If I type "C++" I get some results but If I type "C#" nothing happens (I only see the same white page with the TextBox and button to search), I assume It doesn't accept weird characters ?
8819  Economy / Service Announcements / Re: Ebooks.wtf 3,200,000+ ebooks, buy with bitcoin, 94 to 99.9% off amazon prices on: December 02, 2016, 01:20:41 PM
It would've been better If you gave access to the ebooks first (I mean the ability to see them and search) instead of obliging the user to register first . I also want to know , since the price is almost 99% off , are those ebooks leaked or legitimately obtained ?
8820  Other / Off-topic / Re: Biggest security weakness: Linux vs Windows on: December 02, 2016, 01:01:25 PM
Hi all, my first post here.

Just out of interest, has any posters heard of somebody being hacked and having bitcoins stolen from a Linux-based computer? I would be very interested to know if this has ever happened before. I suspect that maybe 99% of stolen bitcoin cases were with windows computers (Win XP, 7, 8.1, 10 etc.) Can anyone prove me wrong?

Linux is definitely more secure If you want to store your bitcoins as most of the viruses are build for Windows in languages like VB.NET or C# that can't be run on Linux or at least , not with the same performance.
