8801  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: The Philippines Officially Legitimize Bitcoin as Payment Method on: June 09, 2017, 08:33:59 AM
Bankgko Sentral ng Pilipinas, hereinafter BSP, is officially regulating local Philippine Bitcoin exchanges as remittance companies and recognizing Bitcoin as a legitimate payment method.

Earlier this month, BSP Deputy Governor Nestor Espenilla announced the plans of the Philippine Central Bank to issue a proper regulatory framework for Bitcoin users, exchanges and companies. Espenilla emphasized the exponential growth of Bitcoin within the country, stating that monthly Bitcoin volumes increased from $1 mln to $6 mln a month in a year.

This is just amazing news look at their volumes that indicates the exponential growth of Bitcoins. This we all knew and finally it's good to see that we are going to see another country using it. This is what the community needed and it's important for us that they continue to grow. With this news now I am sure Bitcoin can in coming months go to 3300 - 3500$ very soon.
8802  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Is it a sin to gamble? on: June 09, 2017, 04:34:46 AM
Is gambling OK? Don't bet it! There's not an easy or instantly obvious proof text answer to that question.

The real sinners are those who don't bet. They have not understand life and are the ones that really are sinning by not using the pleasure of gambling for which they were created. You can't help such fools but feel sad for them. Those who do are not sinners, we are helping so many jobs creation, the Casino runs because of us, their staff, and we put money in the economy. So how are we sinners.
8803  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Source of bitcoins on: June 09, 2017, 04:29:07 AM
I use exchange websites to withdraw my bitcoins for fiat to my bank account. I wish to know that if in case the bank asks about the source of the income and source of bitcoins, what would I proof can I give them? I commonly earn from signature campaigns, freelance tasks and translations but giving them the complete details would be too much.

Has anyone ever provided proof or their source of bitcoins to any bank or legal organization? What would be the best way to prove it?

I know this will be difficult for you to explain it to them, but you could cite it as a gift or loan or find out reading your country laws which items you need not declare. Once you come in the tax scanner boom you are gone, would advise you to have a word with your consultant and post this in your country local board here, so you shall find a more detailed information to your question.
8804  Economy / Web Wallets / Re: Xapo fees is too high. on: June 08, 2017, 02:33:11 PM
Why xapo transaction fees are too high? The current standard fee is around 0.00222938 BTC which it mean 6$. https://in.xapo.com/fees/
I don't know why it's too high like that. because according to https://bitcoinfees.21.co/
We can see: The fastest and cheapest transaction fee is currently 400 satoshis/byte, which it mean 90,400 satoshis.

How much are you transacting and most importantly how fast do you wish the transaction to be done, if it's a low cost transactions better not do it, if it's a big transaction and it needs to get confirmed quickly then do it, it feels strange but ya they are charging you a lot. Have you left them a support ticket as to why are you being charged so high? Or send by normal fee but then your transaction may take a while to confirm. These days fees are just ridiculous.
8805  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What about rumors that bitcoin is going to die? on: June 08, 2017, 09:13:21 AM
I heard some folks on Quora that bitcoin is going to die but blockchain is the future. What do you guys think of this?

Quaroa users WHO? these are bored users who know nothing and I mean absolutely nothing about Bitcoin. Tell me under which circumstances would it die, countries are adopting it and people are using it so why in the world would it die? Look rumors are started and spread by fools and next time you want to read something about Bitcoins, just search it here, at least most if not all know what they speak here. So relax and buy or do whatever you wish with your coins. Bitcoin is here to stay forever.
8806  Economy / Gambling / Re: BITDICE - 🎲🎲🎲 7 NEW GAMES HAVE BEEN ADDED 🎰🎰🎰 on: June 08, 2017, 06:47:16 AM
Did it work with any one else in dice that most of the rolls if you do, in low you will win 8 out of 10 times and like I was playing low low then high, low, low low, high, like i used the free satoshi's to test this trick, wanted to know if any one has done this similar trick or my luck was just to strong on that day. The site works so smooth on my mobile and that's best, other sites don't really work well.
8807  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin vs altcoins, will they survive? on: June 08, 2017, 06:38:32 AM
I wonder what the general view is on this. It is obvious that having altcoins in the short term can be extremely profitable with amazing % increases. But it is probably not sustainable over the long term. Or can you actually put your money in altcoins and just let them sit there for the long term, like with Bitcoin and Etherium etc? Or should you always gradually move your short term profits from altcoins over to Bitcoin or Etherium to save for the very long term?

What are the views on the survival of the alctcoins? Say in the current top 50 list. Do you think they will still be prospering in 1-5-10 years? (granted of course that the whole marked would not crash completely a long with Bitcoin etc)

And by prospering I don't necessary mean they will be in the top 50. But at least that they will be worth more than they currently are.

Altcoins won't survive in the long run, they are called alt for a reason. Short term is good but long term definitely no. Only Bitcoins is the best way to earn and gain in the long term and it's most advisable to do the same. If you see new alts are flooding the market and then they suddenly go scam. Eth, monore maybe now they are good but they may go bust maybe not that's a chance you will have to take and it's a big risk. Be careful with your money don't invest blindly.
8808  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Can It Really Happen? on: June 08, 2017, 04:26:37 AM
It's not a secret Satoshi Nakamoto has more than 1 million of Bitcoins in his wallet, right?

If he suddenly wants to sell all his Bitcoins, could it cause a chaos in Bitcoin market making the price fall? Or is this amount too insignificant to cause any mess?

Of course it's a huge amount which could cause ripples across the markets but I do not think satoshi would ever do it, secondly we do not even know if he is yet there, it's weird to ask but did no one ever try to find out where satoshi coins where, no one ever claims to have them, the very possibility of his coins coming into market would cause excitement in the market. But currently there seem to be no clue as to if now or in future his coins will be ever sold, guess it's a wait and watch.
8809  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2017 Football Summer Transfers Speculation, Odds and Predictions on: June 07, 2017, 04:11:13 AM
Alexander Lacazette is now a transfer target for Manchester United after his proposed transfer to Atletico Madrid was stopped on its tracks due to their ban, Manchester are willing to swoop in for the striker.

Every team is buying players and Manchester United is just being linked and nothing is happening so far and it's frustrating, Greizemen transfer over, Bale says bye, Moratao says Chelsea, Lukaku says Chelsea will we even buy someone why can't we just get bakayoko, auyembug, vindelof, varane. I can't wait when will Manchester United finally announce their signings. But they should off load players too, many don't deserve to be in the squad now.
8810  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: BitCoin for Retirement on: June 07, 2017, 03:59:48 AM
I am living in a still-considered as a third world country which kinda suit me because the standard of living here is still low and we can easily afford all the necessities of life and even some luxuries here and there. Money here goes a long, long way at least compared to developed countries like USA or Japan for that matter.

It is then good to retire here most especially if you have the money in your purse. Now, I am planning to set aide even just 1 Bitcoin as part of my retirement plan...of course it is just part of the mix as I am also into cacao/mango/coconut farming which can also serve me well when I am retired.

Do you think 1 Bitcoin can be good for retirement...let's say 20 years from now?

Mate what's wrong with you, and by the way what's your country, you are planning to buy one btc with all your savings and then believe it will be enough no, what I would instead suggest is take 10 - 30% of money in btc, 20% stocks 30% in equity funds till you are 50 then put them in debt funds and always keep 20% in cash. I like Bitcoin but they supplant my Fiat, not the Fiat if you get excess money then yes, but retirement funds are a bit risky according to me.
8811  Economy / Speculation / Re: Should I sell? on: June 06, 2017, 04:44:13 AM
Bitcoin price is soaring. Its price trajectory is extremely steep. I fear that the Bitcoin price bubbles is reaching its point of yield. What is mean is, that such steep ascents in anything are rarely sustainable. I am going to sell my coins fairly soon. What do you all think?

Are you in dire need of your money then sell it, I don't see this as a bubble rather a bull run, I would say hold for the long term and reap the benefits other wise you shall regret it. As you might know Japan has accepted Bitcoins and now if some big Country accepts it then it will just soar up like anything. Then I do understand that it will be a risk to hold on to your coins but no risk no gain. Give it a deep thought before you make any kind of decision.
8812  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What is causing the Bitcoin bubble? on: June 06, 2017, 04:40:53 AM
Now it is evident that Bitcoin price is at an all-time high. Prices have risen steeply, far too fast for my liking. I don't think such a growth is sustainable. The bubble is going to break very soon.

But what is causing such a price hype? I speculate this phenomenon is caused by the increase in the number of Bitcoin users. Hence, demand increases and supply dwindles. Thus price increases. Are there any other factors that could add to this price hype?

I don't think op this is a bubble, had it been it would have just gone up but as we saw in past few days, it corrected and again shot up. The major factor was Japan accepting it, and followed it's airlines that gave it a shot in the arm. With so many other countries primed to accept it sooner that's also helping it, and as you have correctly stated it's demand has increased a lot. I feel it's has built a resistance levels around 2000$.
8813  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is it easier to buy drugs, guns, and child pornography with Bitcoin than USD? on: June 06, 2017, 04:37:01 AM
I wasn't sure if I should throw this in the economics sub-board. I mean well, it's just that I'm trying to understand more about Bitcoin and its future.

Of something I've studied today is called "purchasing power parity." I also studied some stuff about exchange rates.

Although I could not find someone saying it's true, am I right to understand that it's stupid easy to get a hold of drugs once you buy (or, otherwise said, are in possession of) Bitcoin, as if people just start advertising drugs to you once Bitcoin is in your possession?

I guess that's to say that Bitcoin has a lot of buying power when it comes to drugs relative to the US Dollar. So, it's "cheaper"/easier to buy drugs with Bitcoin than the US Dollar?

You are a economic student right? I feel this is something study related. So when you say Bitcoin is cheaper than dollars what do you mean, cause normally we value it in dollars. Of course you can value it in other currencies. Look there a very small % of people who do stupid things like this and give Bitcoins a bad name. This is then blown out of proportion by the paid media, drugs were brought earlier to, and now just cause you can buy with Bitcoin doesn't make a difference. Plus Bitcoin can be purchased for anything and everything only condition is there should be a seller.
8814  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: $0.85 transaction fee is absolutely ridiculous! on: June 05, 2017, 04:35:45 PM
Am I the only one realizing that ~$1 fee to make a transaction is absolutely insane and defeats one of the core benefits of using bitcoin for daily transactions.

This is getting insane and is completely uncalled for, or am I wrong?

For a very long while I have been reading about fees and since I had not transacted for long really did not care to look into this aspect, for transferring 0.84 I was asked to pay a fees of 1-2$ it's absolutely ridiculous and I thought coinbase.com to coinbase.com was free but even that's chargeable what's wrong with Bitcoin when will this trauma end. Any idea how to beat it for good.
8815  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoins value on: June 05, 2017, 02:45:39 PM
What are the factors that affect the bitcoins value ? Just curious guys. Wanted to learn more.

Bitcoin works on a simple principle demand and supply, so higher demand low supply shoots up the price and vice versa. Then again the global economy plays a important role in the Bitcoin market. Then if a country adopts it like Japan did and suddenly the price is shooting up that's how it works and all signs currently point towards a good run in the price. If you are planning to buy, I would recommend you to buy in dips.
8816  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: How much can u lose with gambling? on: June 05, 2017, 11:58:32 AM
This is opposite from topic "How much can u win with gambling?". Well I`m on zero again, I`m looking how much I can win with gambling but actually I`m tryin to calculate how much can i lose. It`s always small amout`s but after many times this several small amount`s becoming one big one. There is some crazy stories on internet about people that have it all in one moment...
http://www.telegraph.co.uk/men/active/mens-health/10976770/Online-gambling-how-I-lost-my-wife-children-and-750000.html
And this guy started  with almost nothing and made almost $500,000 gambling with Bitcoin, then he lost it all in about 60 seconds. https://www.reddit.com/r/IAmA/comments/1ch7wb/

So pretty simple question, how much can YOU lose with gambling?

You can loose basically everything and that's a sad reality. Look the guy who won so much and lost in your link, basically it's the greed that can destroy a person. You can loose all your money, your home and can become highly in debt, what people don't see I's where ans when to stop. If they would be smart enough then they would not have suffered looses. You should always remember not to gamble more than you can loose and you can loose everything.
8817  Other / Off-topic / Re: What's your way of spreading Bitcoin knowledge? on: June 05, 2017, 11:23:48 AM
Personally, if I'm in a coffee shop or any store with some people, I pull out my wallet and subtly show them my Xapo debit card. Then they get curious on what kind of card is that since it doesnt look like the usual Mastercard or creditcard. Then I explain it from there on.

What's your way of spreading Bitcoin knowledge? Smiley

So you mean you tell strangers that you have Bitcoins, that's kind of risky for me. Well I normally send them a price compared with gold and silver, that's it then they go wild seeing the prices and ask me what it is. Then I briefly explain them and 10/10 people ended up buying Bitcoin and already in huge profits. However with knowledge people should target the stupid questions also, as that's what is important, half knowledge is as good as no knowledge.
8818  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: That day when Bitcoin hits $50,000.- on: June 04, 2017, 03:23:44 PM
That day when bitcoin hits 50,000, and this topic wil be replied and honored by the new folks whom are new to Bitcoin by then, the day when multiple countries have the coin in use in shops and services, the day when you get paid 0.05 BTC a month for a fulltime job, what will you do with your precious coins? when this appears on your screen...

$50,023(+0.12%)
1 BTC

Will you hold them with the knowledge of becoming a millionaire, or a multi-multi millionaire? Or wil you find it enough and trade some or most of your precious, precious coins for money to buy something really big, or use it to start up your own big company?

For me, I will keep them. I might only sell a tiny bit if I would like to make a purchase of something, but for the rest I would keep all the coins knowing that 50,000.- is just the start of a new beginning (just like 2017's 2700 compared to 2014's 200.- already)

I am curious what you will do that day, when this post gets replied and all those people wish they started in the time that we did. The day when you, me and all other Bitcoin buyers basically have won the lottery, what will you do?

Hahaha first of all I would wake up from the dream, 50k do you even have any reason as to why this price was selected by you? Look I would advise you to look for the near future, cause it's very volatile and one should keep daily or weekly watch, and make decisions as and when they happen, maybe keep few % for the future 🔮, but entire it's risky, we'll I love Bitcoins, but I guess we are blinded by our love, so be careful and ps if it does cross, we shall get you special batch.
8819  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: It is not worth it, right? on: June 04, 2017, 11:38:59 AM
Many people here are asking "How gambling can benefits us by winning" on it using strategy like Martingale, or pure luck when we are playing DICE?
But I'm just wondering when do people will realize that gambling can never be the one that could benefits us, because the truth is, we could lose the thing that we can't lose to afford before we could be benefited by gambling.

First rule of gambling never gamble more than you can afford to loose. Look op no one tells any one to gamble you gamble on your own, and mostly we all gamble for the fun, not to be broke. There a difference between healthy gambling and greedy gambling if you can't do it, then I would suggest you to stay away from it as I feel you will not be able to handle gambling.
8820  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Cricket match prediction discussions on: June 04, 2017, 08:21:31 AM
Today we have most expect match between India v Pakistan, my option is India sure they are have best batting lineup and great bowling attack, but who play good cricket today they will win the match.
Yeah, India has got upper hands in the entire face to face matches, but when it comes to Champions Trophy Pakistan has won twice. This has been a long expected match and both has got good player lineup and importantly once after the match depending on the result can expect some violence in those countries.

Do you think that the blast which happened few hours ago, will have any impact on this match. I mean it would have made the players bit conscious about the security and plus it's always a huge pressure when the Asian rivals have a match, it's about bragging rights, India has an amazing team, but Pakistan can also spring a surprise, however if rains does play sport I feel India should win this comfortably, cause India has more experience and Pakistan lack experience. Let's hope it's a cracker of a game.
