Re the lively discussion on 100k party (ies): it's like a variation of Heisenberg's uncertainty principle...you cannot predict (measure) both the price (speed in HI) and timing (position in HI) of bitcoin. This explains why both 1K and 10k parties did not happen/failed.
A proposal on how to circumvent or "tame": It is likely that prior ATH will be breached and we would have a short correction afterwards, but should get on our way up within, say, 3 mo. Therefore the ATH party could be planned at 30-90 days post 20K, therefore nailing the time and, potentially, being still on a rise from ATH, which would make everyone happy.
TL;DR it is a ATH party, not strictly a 100K party. The time would be 30-90 days post new ATH (at a fixed time slot).
as a member of the original BTC1K party triumvirate I can only confirm this. when you come up with the idea of such a party, at first everyone is ridiculed because price will never climb so high. we started to plan the btc1k party, when price was around $120. we thought it would take lots of years to reach 1k. it only took some months... it is not possible to plan something big when you do not know the date. venues must be booked way in advance, same with live bands or DJ or PA, stage, light, etc, etc . 3 months could work though my suggestion would be to wait for 100k, and then meet two weeks later - only hat members, no partners/friends at some small venue (or ... yacht ?)  and party hard. Come on get yourself in a thread with Kurious and someone other, make it self mod. Start a plan, collect .1 btc's from members in a trusted way etc Then delete the post from members that shouldn't be there and so on come on guys start this thing going, i'm game for sure!!!! |

Hou mijn zelf helemaal niet bezig met ico's op het moment. Omdat er zoveel scams geweest zijn en nog zijn gaan ik er niet meer aan mee doen. Heb er wel aan een paar mee gedaan in 2017 / 2018 (wabi, QSP, ZPT) Heb zelf geen ico's gehad die een scam waren gelukkig. Vooral de scams en hacks geven crypto een hele slechte naam. Veel mensen verliezen zo geld en vertrouwen. Van mijn vrienden groep is nu bijna niemand meer actief in crypto helaas.
Ik ben zelf ook geen echte ICO man, heb wel hier en daar geinvesteerd en gekocht sommige groter als andere enz... Maar wnn je vrienden hebt die enkel in deze zaken investeerde en BTC links lieten liggen, daardoor nu schrik hebben en geen intresse meer hebben kan ik enkel zeggen WAUW hoe dom, kortzichtig, greedy enz kan een persoon zijn, ook deze mensen verdienen niet vroeg in BTC te zijn! |

Neither will happen, I think. $10,000 just before the halving in 2020. $1,000,000 I don’t know, maybe something like 2025. Why? Thats only 900 more Then we just have had... @Kurious, i’m also more in for a more let say “Lounge style” room/place where everyone can walk and talk with each other, like a Nice room/resto booked with sofa’s and tables, could also be a beach or whatever but something where we can really meet as how Kurious just Said....
The ones that are willing to do real crazy can talk there and continue as when we are all there we can start and talk a yearly meet up or something always hosted at another country or whatever...
Just the first meet up is most important and Will be the first brick layed down of building something NEW
Imo it has to be civilized for every single one that comes...
