8861  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: one reason why bitcoin will not surpass fiat on: September 14, 2016, 12:47:05 PM
we hear about cool and new bitcoin ideas every day and also how these ideas will improve the standing of bitcoin. a cool feature that makes it better than fiat.
i want to talk about one such feature. bitcoin can reduce the trust we need when money is involved. let us say i want to bet a friend of mine and to make sure we pay after the bet is resolved we use a smart contract.
this sounds fine and reduces the trust needed.
but in fact we just shifted the trust to the coder who made the smart contract. sure we could verify the code, but how many people can do this (remember the DAO)? my mother can certainly not.
so in order to make smart contracts a big point for bitcoin we will need generations and maybe even have some sort of basic smart contracts training in schools. so this is not very likely.
even today nobody reads the fine print and just trusts that everything will work out fine (most people think they can sue to get the money back is something fishy happens). but all we need with smart contracts is just one misspelled letter and the money can be lost without recovery.
people are dumb, so fiat works just fine for them. bitcoin might be to advanced for people to really go mainstream without destroying many peoples lives, because they made a small mistake or trusted the wrong code/people.

can we solve this problem? should we get used to the losses? or is this one of the reasons bitcoin will never go mainstream?

Bitcoin will never become a mainstream currency. This is the sad true.

The lack of trust stops bitcoin growth and mass adoption.

Unfortunately bitcoin is still a "scammer friendly" digital currency.
8862  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: my Community bank fraud department called regarding coinbase on: September 14, 2016, 09:18:08 AM
I bank at a small community bank  in the states and they have some real nice personal bankers that are helpful. Recently the fraud department called asking what I do and why I  have so many transactions with coinbase. F U its my money,  I can buy whatever I want with it. This  is annoying because my small bank has no idea what bitcoin is and explaining it is not easy they are old school.  My question is I am not doing anything wrong like gambling, why are they inquiring. I work in a professional company and was surprised when the personal banker asked. She also said they called a few mo ago  too . I also have made small buys in a span of 9 mo  nothing big like 1 btc per month. Has anyone else been in the same situation?

Maybe your banker thinks that buying bitcoins with USD might be illegal.

We are all slaves of the bank industry and bankers think that they can control our lives.

That`s why i want bitcoin to grow and replace fiat money.
8863  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Japanese ‘BitGirls’ Show Brings Blockchain Voting, Cryptocurrency to TV on: September 14, 2016, 09:13:09 AM
A new cryptocurrency-inspired television show called BitGirls will air on Tokyo MX TV this fall. The Japanese show features an interactive blockchain voting platform and a girl group crowdsale.

Japanese TV Show BitGirls to Air on Tokyo MX TV

Japanese are weird people. Grin

Anyway it`s good that bitcoin will be promoted in Japan and it will become more popular there.

I don`t understand Japanese TV shows. Grin
8864  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: I’ve been working in Bitcoin industry for 3 years and here’s why you should NOT on: September 14, 2016, 09:10:11 AM

I`m not going to click that link. Grin

Why don`t you just write your article here, instead of redirecting traffic to your blog.

Using bitcoin is always risky, but there is profit to be made.
8865  Economy / Economics / Re: My blog “Why Governments Want a Central Bank-Issued Digital Currency” on: September 13, 2016, 01:46:31 PM
It's very simple. They see what's coming with bitcoin, and they don't like it since bitcoin delivers freedom, so they want to launch their own centralized, closed source currency while banning bitcoin so everyone gets trapped in the controlled network of "governmentcoin".

That`s right. But a cashless society has very big risks.Cash and paper money still have advantages.

If they create a central bank-issued digital currency bitcoin will have a strong competition because

most of the people trust the goverment guaranteed currencies.
8866  Economy / Economics / Re: Invest your bitcoins. on: September 13, 2016, 01:42:02 PM
There is alot of sites to invest in some can not be trusted and some are fake/scams. Here is my list and most are btc and bankroll for casino. Mostly are bitcoin invest and some altcoins. P2P leding can do diffrent fiat to. Biggest risk is sites get hacked or run of with the funds. But many sites gives great return. I would not invest in a place that gives less then 10% because not worth the risk. Like bitfinex.com had like 3% return on lending out btc. That was the only reason i didnt have any bitcoin on bitfinex. So its not worth the risk. All on the list i have tried for longer time.

Works great and trust
Betking.io - bankroll for casino
Poloniex.com - lending out to traders
Just-dice.com - bankroll for casino
Bitdice.me - bankroll for casino
Moneypot.com - wallet/bankroll for casino
Safedice.com - bankroll for casino
Satoshidice.com - bankroll for casino (Not have 2fa)

Looking into
Crypto-games.net
Bitvest.io

Not trust or like
Btcjam.com - p2p lending
Bitbond.com - p2p lending
Diggit.io - minesweeper bankroll

P2p lending and didnt work that great. So many not pay so you get around even.
Diggit.io offline much , takes forever withdraw, owner not interest much in run it.

Anyone have other sites to invest in? Or sites to stay away from?

Iam not a professional just a hobby investor. Will try answer all questions. And try answer logical and rational. All investing should not be done by emotions. Investing mostly not give huge returns, and need be patient. And my answer will be based on my experince investing.

Great list man.By the way, what is a bankroll for casino?

I have a btcjam account with $ 0,02 in bitcoins and invested them in  a loan and the guy

didn`t repay that amount.

I might check some of the websites in the list.
8867  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: First month 200euro profits on: September 13, 2016, 01:35:23 PM
Hi,

I lost money with cryptos at first when i was a newb. After hassle, i've found my own 'official' trading tactic. For my first month (well, 3weeks actually)

I started on 15-08 with 500 euros. Today I booked 200 euros profit. I only do the exchange trading now, not margin. I will rest 1 week and then continue when i see a profit window again

Happy trading Grin

Congrats, dude. This is a pretty good profit.

You have euros so i guess you are from some European country.

Can you show some proof?
8868  Economy / Economics / Re: New Policy Including Bitcoin and Blockchain passes US Congress on: September 13, 2016, 10:09:35 AM
http://www.coindesk.com/blockchain-support-bill-passes-us-congress-vote/

Wow, huge move for acknowledgement and legetimization of Bitcoin, blockchain technology and the crypto currencies! The fact that another major (G8) government is acknowledging bitcoin indicates that they realize the currency is legit and has momentum.

"The measure is perhaps the most significant to emerge from Congress to date on the subject of digital currencies and blockchain tech."

Slow and steady progress is what we need. Not too much hype, just slow adoption. Regular mentions equals regular use (eventually).

Cheers all!

Yeah,i agree. We need stable progress without hype and big expectations.

If the US congress legitimize bitcoinand the blockchain it will be a huge victory for the btc community.

Let`s hope that this will really happen.

8869  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin VS Time on: September 13, 2016, 10:06:01 AM
All the altcoins and all the faint are the compitetors of bitcoin but can it beat itself on the time period. We know that before a long time ago during bitcoin launch time mt. Gox exchange was the reason who rised its price from 5$ to 1000$ and i do not think we have seen any year like that.so can anyone can say about it?or any precious year your remember

I don`t understand what exactly are you trying to say or ask.

I don`t think that the bitcoin price will ever again rise from $13 to $1216 for 10 months like in 2013.

2013 was the best and the worst year for btc. Grin

8870  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Can bitcoin be pumped-and-dumped? on: September 13, 2016, 10:01:52 AM
I often see this in the altcoin world since their market cap is pretty low or nonexistent altogether.

But what about Bitcoin?

Yes.It can be pumped and dumped,  but you have to invest a few billion dollars. Grin

Altcoins are very easy to pump, but bitcoin is way stronger and more popular.

8871  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin WiFi T-shirt on: September 11, 2016, 02:29:59 PM
Hey,

I would like to create something within the project Bitcoin and start your startup.
I count on the support of an innovative project for bitcoin wifi

I really like the girl on the first picture. Grin

The t-shirt design is OK.Good luck with your project.

I`ve never heard about bitcoinstarter. This site might be helpfull for me.
8872  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Anyone watching Mr Robot? on: September 11, 2016, 02:26:56 PM
Just wondering who here is watching Mr Robot? Bitcoin is all over it, especially in the 2nd season! Surprised there isn't a shitty alt called E coin yet.

I don`t watch "Mr.Robot".I don`t watch TV.

It`s good that bitcoin is mentioned there.Every promotion is good for btc.

Maybe some other TV shows will mention bitcoin soon.
8873  Economy / Economics / Re: Is buying bitcoins the same as buying stocks in stock market? on: September 11, 2016, 10:34:08 AM
I'm just curious, are they just the same?

No.It`s not the same.Bitcoin is a surrency like USD,euro, british pound.

It can`t be the same as stocks. You should read more about finance OP.

If the Bitcoin community was a giant company and bitcoins were stock shares, every bitcoin holder would be a

owner. Grin
8874  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Difference between Bitcoin and real money? on: September 11, 2016, 10:29:43 AM
I've discovered Bitcoin few days ago, but I am skeptical about few things, why would I invest money in Bitcoins at the end of the day,why would I convert money into Bitcoins?

If I want to buy stocks or invest money I can easily invest with real $. Why would I convert my $ to bitcoins?
If I want to gamble , I can simply gamble on websites that require $ as currency, why would I convert it to bitcoins?
What's the difference between Bitcoins and dolars? What does bitcoin bring to the table that real $ don't, less taxes, more income?

Bitcoin is more anonymous, the transaction fees are lower and the transactions are irreversible.

Bitcoin price is more volatile so investors can make profit just by holding bitcoins.

Use btc if you want.Nobody forces you to use bitcoins.
8875  Economy / Economics / Re: English Pound VS Europe Euro Vs US dollar on: September 10, 2016, 11:45:12 AM
i think euro is the future ..us is trying hard to keep the domination of us dollars and by circulating us dollars all around the world they are keeping their economy strong so that they can keep hold on different poor or needy countries and due to this policy they invaded iraq syria and libya and all other countries to keep the domination of us dollar and now iran is challenging us by trading in euros so euro is the future of trading Cool Cool Cool Cool

European economy isn`t growing and the EU might collapse.

I think that the Chinese currency is the future.

USA is still strong but anything could happen ,if Donald Trump becomes president. Grin

8876  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Food industry and cryptocurrency on: September 10, 2016, 11:39:55 AM
In the near future, you will see many farm companies releasing their own cryptocurrency
Those smart farmers will eventually come to a realization that the only real form of money is the food they put in their mouth.
Because of that reason, the value of their farm cryptocurrency will only go up. Other paper currencies will always be manipulated and beaten down by central banks' frauds.

Here's an example:

A lobster farm will release their own cryptocurrency called Lobster coin
A clam farm will release their own cryptocurrency call Clam coins
A crab farm will release their own cryptocurrency call Crab coins
A tuna farm will release their own cryptocurrency call Tuna coins

These farm coins will be back by real money value also known as food value.
(put money where their mouth is)

I guess you are kidding, but anyway the only thing that gives a currency any value is the human labor.

Food can`t be a value,foods is just a product.

And it`s better to have one strong cryptocurrency instead of 1000 weak cryptocurrencies.
8877  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Warning: XMine.org moving bitcoins turned into scam similar hashocean on: September 10, 2016, 11:34:05 AM
XMine.org a so called mining website has stopped payments and not answering to tickets supports anymore .
I have tracked their original address
https://blockchain.info/address/3EE6MTUL5a7AJMenva9BzjganzFqzcccSK
they made 218 BTC and that's only in bitcoins.
2 hours ago they had 88 BTC and moved them (88 BTC) from the above address to
https://blockchain.info/address/1GBSYegUUUr387MyLoxGeSiDXMAgi4EUNh
and then to the https://blockchain.info/address/1L1LYUYDhzxAAbnN8PqSsrS92kdEzXx9t7 where a total of 112.84 BTC is made .
If an exchanger can see this address will find that address in any trader exchange account they block their account .
The bitcoins are from the XMine.org members who did deposits . The admin(s) possibly are trying now to exchange the bitcoins into dollars .
This modus operandi looks very similar to hashocean.

Their last 2 payments displayed on website as withdrawals are fake , by the way a  dash address starts with x not cwa..

All cloud mining scams work the same way.

Even the ones that pay sooner or later run away with the bitcoins.

Why there are still people who still believe in cloud mining?
8878  Economy / Speculation / Re: Can The Future Value of Bitcoin be Predicted "Accurately" ? on: September 10, 2016, 06:03:36 AM
Hello Fellas and Bellas,

I'm trying to firstly conceptualize and then hopefully create an accurate Bitcoin Future Valuation tool of some sort. It would essentially be a tool that lets you "scientifically"  and accurately forecast the Value/Price of 1 Bitcoin (and X amount of Bitcoins) in regards to the short, mid and long term future. It would obviously use specific metrics coupled with real-time market sentiment readings which would cause real-time fluctuation/ramifications to the future Valuations .

But i want to ask, is this even possible? I know predicting the future of ANYTHING is deemed impossible but at the very best i am trying to create something that can classed as REALISTIC in terms of the future projections it provides.

Your thoughts?

I don`t think it`s possible.

If there was a possibility to predict btc price with 100% accuracy, the whole bitcoin trading will become

pointless. All the speculators will leave the marketplace and sell their bitcoins.

Just use technical and fundamental analysis.

8879  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How a scammer stole 500$ from me and in the end begged me not to tell his parent on: September 10, 2016, 05:59:18 AM
Some of this story happened in this very forum! Won't tell you usernames though

https://blog.haschek.at/2016/how-a-scammer-stole-500-dollars-from-me

I hate clicking links that redirect me to blogs.

Why don`t you describe your story on your thread description OP?

And why don`t you tell the username of that scammer?

Most of the scammers are kids or teens. Angry
8880  Economy / Investor-based games / Re: 1HourlyCoin - Is this legit? on: September 10, 2016, 05:55:33 AM
Hey folks!

While browsing I came across a website that made me goo WOOOW!

They offer Bitcoin investment plans and good returns the address Is at https://1hourlycoin.com/ BUT Is this legit?

I mean they're a UK registered company, Is It possible that they may scam people or what?

Some explanation of what they do etc...would be so wanted!

I don`t think it`s legit. There are hundreds of "companies" that offer btc "investment plans".

This is HYIP scam. Some scammer created a legit looking webpage of a company to steal bitcoins.

Unfortunately we can`t do anything to stop those HYIP scams.
