8861  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Finally $200 billion total Marketcap is achieved. on: May 11, 2019, 08:40:24 AM
Another great day to see the price finally breaking those mental barrier as if they are nothing. Last time we witnessed is during the last great bull run in 2017. But as I was surprised by the sudden spike in the last 24 hours, pushing market cap above $200 billion. I guess we are really out of the bear's claw for now and the time to buy cheap coins are gone.  Grin. Next stop would be obviously $7k so let's hope we can carry this rally next week.
8862  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2019 NBA Season on: May 11, 2019, 08:08:19 AM
Another bad night so far for Steph Curry but the Rockets just can't get some separation here.

3rd quarter almost over but the score is tied, what a thrilling game.

Edit:
No KD no problem, Steph Curry just explode in the 4th and my mini-KD, Livingston stepped up his game. Warriors unto the WCF Smiley.

Curry only scored in the 2nd half and wins the game.
Congratulations, they were the dog in this game today but they still manage to win without Durant.
Draymond was right, "they don't need Durant". LOL

Good damn, Steph Curry was monster today. Hitting clutch shots and Klay take care of the first half while Curry exploded on the 3rd and 4th period.

The odds are against them, but we all know what the old GSW can do, and now they advances again. It was a blessing not to have KD played.  Grin
Splash brothers proved to everyone that they are still the same young guns when they are starting this team, first half for Thompson making sure that Rockets will not overpower them and keep the score close, while the 2nd half is for Curry's heroic stand up, both manage to play quality types of competitions they again lift the team winning this series.

Yes, there was a lot of scary moments wherein you think that the Houston Rockets will blow the game away in the third, fortunately, Curry drives hit 3's and so it Iggy and they got closed again and it was a tight battle in the 4th until Curry wax hot hitting 3's and then Thompson put the dagger with less than a minute.
8863  Economy / Speculation / Re: sec consider new bitcoin and ethereum ETF on: May 10, 2019, 07:42:00 PM
I'm not even sure if ETF will finally have something positive to Bitcoin. People don't care anymore about it. Only people already in crypto do and not because they're interested in an ETF but because they hope the Bitcoin value increase. BTC ETF is a flop dead before born.

This. Almost everyone here are tired hearing this ETF's proposal because we all know that SEC will just shoot down that idea. What makes it worst though is that they keep on delaying and prolonging the agony. But crypto enthusiast are very wise not to wait for the approval anymore because they know that SEC will reject it, it doesn't matter who are the people or institution behind applying for ETF's.
8864  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: A Bill to Ban Buying All Cryptocurrencies on: May 10, 2019, 07:09:31 PM
Well we have to thank Congressman Sherman, because after making that statement, bitcoin goes and break $6300 barrier.  Grin. It also goes to show that they that are very threaten by this so called crypto and the only way to stop them is to ban it, but you see resistance is futile because this revolution is gaining grounds.
8865  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Has Bitcoin attained the maturity stage or is too early? on: May 10, 2019, 04:08:05 PM
With the recent news that supposedly could have affect the fall of Bitcoin and probably crashes to lower support but instead the price remain in the upward momentum. Bitfinex with Tether issue and just of recent the biggest hacked than happened to Binance Exchange with the hack of over 7000BTC worth over 40 Million USD, despite all these negativity, the Bitcoin price keeps moving Northward.

We are in a bullish trend, so no matter what the news is, investors are now going to invest on it, whether we witnessed the Binance hacked or Bitfinex Tether drama.

Is it too early to assume that we are now getting matured in the crypto space and negative news will have less impact as compared to that of 2017 to early 2018? During that period, the price will move downward, sometimes with 10% within an hour.

I wouldn't say getting matured but more of being smarter or intelligence. The market is still based on speculation, but if everyone sentiment is bullish, it will be hard pressed to stop this trend.
8866  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Buy bitcoin with credit card on: May 10, 2019, 03:50:28 PM
Cex.io is one exchange that I bought bitcoin when it was in its lowest around $3k and it went through. I have paid it already so now it looks like I will almost doubled my investments when the price will hit $6400-$6500. Not the best option though, but if you're willing to take the risk then why not.
8867  Economy / Speculation / Re: the bull run is confirmed. on: May 10, 2019, 03:27:52 PM
Hey guys, what are you thinking about this bullrun. whether this increase in bitcoin sacrifices altcoin prices. I see the volume of bitcoin trading going up but on the contrary almost all of the altcoin volumes go down. Does this mean that Bullrun needs sacrifice this time?

Altcoins has been suffering since the start of the bearish trend, almost all the projects are dead or lost so much value. So don't be surprised if investors suddenly dump then because it's been happening.

is this just the beginning, until everything turns green. I think all possibilities will ultimately benefit Bitcoin. what are you thinking right now?

I'm thinking what I'm going to do with my savings once bitcoin goes to the moon.  Grin. Seriously though, it's a long way to go, we are not even half of our previous all-time-highs so just be calm and patience.
8868  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2019 NBA Season on: May 10, 2019, 03:02:51 PM
Raptors vs Bucks would be an epic Eastern Finals  Cool
For me, this will be the two teams that will face in the Eastern Conference Finals. It will be more exciting if these two teams will face compare to Bucks and 76ers where Embiid isn't health the whole playoffs.

76ers got the victory a while ago and the series is tied already and same with the Blazers who got the victory too against the Nuggets. Tomorrow will be the Warriors Rockets game 6. I see some youtube videos saying that the Warriors are better without KD. Your opinions on this??

I don't know, we all know that KD is now a big part of GSW and losing him will surely affected them in a way. On the other hand, prior to KD joining the team, it was Curry's team and so far we haven't seen him being the 'typical' Curry we have seen years ago. Maybe now that KD is out of the picture, mentally he is focused again and give GSW the win in the next game so we will see.

8870  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin posts seven consecutive weeks of gains on: May 09, 2019, 07:55:29 AM
I found this on trading view:

https://www.tradingview.com/chart/BTCUSD/EamcMylT-Bitcoin-posts-seven-consecutive-weeks-of-gains/

So it looks like in the last 7 weeks bitcoin is posting gains. Specially in the last week wherein we have a massive jump to more than 20%. Imminent incoming bull-run? Get ready with your meme HODL. Grin
The gains are still extending and this is so refreshing, at least altcoins are coming back to life now. However, it's not a good time to buy in now at almost $6,000. It's already late and buying now will amount to chasing the price (this is a wrong approach in business). Bitcoin is headed for a slight correction from the technical analysis before continuing on the bull run.

On the contrary, it is still quite cheap, we are still in the 4 digit figure. Would you rather buy when the price peaks at $10K? So it's not that late, although the best time is when the price just hover about $3k. Of course, correction is healthy along the way, we don't want to see parabolic rise as this might create another bubble. But saying that it is already late to buy today is absurd, in my opinion, and don't be this person, People Only Want to Buy Bitcoin *AFTER* Prices Rises, Google Data Shows.
8871  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Binance losing 7000 BTC and the consequences of a ROLL Back on: May 09, 2019, 07:05:26 AM
The CEO doesn't even know what he is talking about and then had to take back his words. Like some people have a doubt that Binance has lost even more funds that they don't want to disclose and he is very well aware that even other exchanges have been hacked but never such a thing like a rollback has been ever talked about. It's foolish of him to even make such a statement.

It didn't came for his own mouth, it was proposed to him and others chime in and CZ ask for advises as well. But obviously, he don't know what is this proposal and then when he weigh things down, it doesn't make sense to do it. So let the hackers get that 7000 BTC and have those forensics blockchain expert to track it down. And there are also exchanges who are monitoring the address and will block it the moment they see it entered within their environment.
8872  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: The Hack and The Rollback on: May 09, 2019, 06:42:37 AM
It's not happening,

https://twitter.com/cz_binance/status/1125996194734399488

Quote
pros: 1 we could "revenge" the hackers by "moving" the fees to miners; 2 deter future hacking attempts in the process. 3. explore the possibility of how bitcoin network would deal with situations like these.

cons: 1 we may damage credibility of BTC, 2 we may cause a split in both the bitcoin network and community. Both of these damages seems to out-weight $40m revenge. 3 the hackers did demonstrate certain weak points in our design and user confusion, that was not obvious before.

cons: 4 While it is a very expensive lesson for us, it is nevertheless a lesson.  it was our responsibility to safe guard user funds.

It will just undermined blockchain, good to hear this kind of suggestions by those knowledgable minds but it won't work. Not even the genius mind of Tony Starks will actually go this far.  Grin
8873  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin just broke $6000! (2019) on: May 09, 2019, 06:01:41 AM
Finally the strong resistance at $5900 has been broken thus the price of bitcoin hits $6K in 2019, based on price action there is tendency that the price might retrace to the former resistance turn support.
Obviously this is a good news bitcoin had struggled for long price-wise thus prompting some deregotry remarks that bitcoin won't survive here is bitcoin proving many analysts wrong.

That $5900 resistance was like very hard to break in the last 2 days and then BOOM, $6k was broken so easily. And the thing is, we have like negative news around (Binance hack, Tether + Bitfinex fiasco), but the market wasn't even moved by this kind of news. Indication that investors are really in and there might be fresh blood that is willing to put cash in the ecosystem.
8874  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2019 NBA Season on: May 09, 2019, 05:31:13 AM

Final quarter now and the score already tied, rockets make its comeback and now its going to square one, curry needs to step forward and help if they wanted to win and still in control of this series, houston is really a tough opponent to beat, last quarter run for both teams will be very important, let see who's going to finish strong and win the game.,

Rockets made a big rally in the 3rd quarter and in the 4th Durant injured his ankle maybe and did not come back anymore.
Warriors won, and thanks to curry and Thompson for their best effort, also Green help a lot here but unfortunately he was fouled out.
Game 6 is for warriors, let's get this series to game 7.

Yes, it was a big scary though when Rockets made a rally and close the gap, but it was the closest they can get as the Warriors made one last big push to get out of the hands of Houston. Klay and Steph almost played the entire game but they did score 27 and 25 respectively and Green added 12 rebounds and 11 assists. Let's see how KD will be in the next game.
8875  Economy / Speculation / Re: Trading Above $5,500 Could Prepare Bitcoin For Mega Upward Movement – Analyst on: May 08, 2019, 10:26:49 AM
right now there still is a lot of drama against bitcoin working day and night to prevent this rise but the good news is that despite all the FUD and the attempts that has been happening in prevention of the rise, the rise is still very strong. price not only stayed above $5500 but it even reached a new stable higher price at $5800 and if this slow rise keeps up we can see above $6k with the same trend.

I agree, I initially thought that me might see the price going down after the news of Binance being hacked, but so far the price is steady at $5800k a good indication that investors are not affected by it. We still have one news to wait, as far I understand, the Chinese will release today whether they will ban bitcoin mining or not, but so far I haven't seen any concrete statement yet.
8876  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2019 NBA Season on: May 08, 2019, 09:50:38 AM
Tonight's games, both home teams are very dominant.
Currently watching the Nuggets vs Blazers game, Nuggets lead as much as 20 points and it's in the 4th quarter now with less time left.
I expect the Nuggets to win here and will command the series to 3-2.
Yeah no chance for the road team for the day especially the Raptors who won against the Sixers by almost 40 points (36 I think is the exact). Also the Denver dominated on their home and they won by 26 points. Good game for the home teams this day.

Just when we have close games and OT's, now we witnessed blow out games.

Tomorrow is the Celtics Bucks and the Warriors Rockets Game 5. I think the Bucks will close the series and clinch to the ECF. They have dominated the series against the Celtics and nobody can stop Giannis to be honest. On the other hand, I don't know who will win against the 2 because both of the teams are struggling on the road. If Steph and Klay's shots will fall down then they will win but on the other hand, if their shots doesn't fall down they will lose. Same with the Rockets.

I'm rooting for the Bucks to win tomorrow. And it's funny that there are news that Kyrie is believed to be leaving after this game or after the Bucks will eliminate them. GSW vs Houston is still unpredictable, very very close match so it's hard to say who will win the next crucial game. There are a lot of GSW fans here, so I will assume that majority wanted them to win and close out Houston next game.
8877  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: BINANCE -HACKED on: May 08, 2019, 09:23:21 AM
What are your thoughts on this https://www.coindesk.com/hackers-steal-40-7-million-in-bitcoin-from-crypto-exchange-binance??
For me there is something fishy about binance hacking.. and regarding justine sun post on twitter about depositing 7k BTC?hmmm

First off, Justin Sun is what we call Shill God, I mean he has been shilling TRX and BNB. Second, there has been speculation that the hacked could be an inside job, but we don't know for sure. Third, doesn't make sense for Justin to deposit 7000 BTC because the funds are covered by Binance by SAFU. Fourth, I believed that it's very sketchy but we don't have any proof of it, it's just speculation on our part.
8878  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Binance lost $40.7 million to hackers, which exchange is next!!! on: May 08, 2019, 04:52:33 AM
These hacks occur with regularity, and given that Binance is one of the largest exchanges in the world, it was bound to become a victim. Fortunately, Binance has a vast majority of its cryptocurrency in cold wallets, and has established a separate fund as insurance. So the victims of these attacks will be made whole. Hopefully the perpetrators will be caught and brought to justice. This is a reminder to keep cryptocurrencies off exchanges.

I think hackers are really targeting Binance for a long time because it is the top crypto trading platform and obviously lots of money to steal. But it takes like a careful and coordinate attack from those hackers before they can breach their system.

@killat - I guess it's always like that, from what I noticed, everything that we are making a good run, suddenly we will hear this kind of bad news. So it's hard to say it this is coincidence or not. We have to wait for the evidence from Binance. Or for all investigators out there, they can trail the supposedly wallet address/es.
8879  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Binance just lost 7000 BTC in a security breach on: May 08, 2019, 04:34:07 AM
And, justin sun want to donate, oh, wait, cover the lost funds of binance, weird.

https://twitter.com/justinsuntron/status/1125932499761225728

That's a bad news with good news but 7000 such a huge amount of BTC and according to binance it's only 2% of their holdings.
And that's only 2% of their btc holdings, not to mention they have bnb tokens and other coins.

And there goes Justin the Shill God, Lol. The hacked funds are covered already according to CZ by their SAFU so why the heck Justin needs to bail them out?

I also have the same thoughts that Binance will be at least not within the reach of the hackers because of their tight security. Anyways, it just proved that no one is safe here and I just do hope that the price won't go on another downward spiral because of this news.
8880  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Altcoin season preparations on: May 07, 2019, 04:19:54 PM
If I'm in your shoes, I would put majority on bitcoin though. Nothing against altcoins but it seems that most of the coins you listed as just for pure pump and dump scheme. Why not go 60% of bitcoin and spread the next 40% of altcoins? I'm just curious though as to why you chooses those altcoins. Did you DYOR or just join the bandwagon? Anyways, I'm not good at giving financial advises, so best of luck to you and your investments.
