8921  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What's your favorite casino game or slot? on: May 09, 2017, 03:44:50 PM
What is your favorite casino game to play or slot and why?

I think this question is already asked in another thread already.

I don't play slot games because those are not so much excitement giving to me so I prefer to bet on sports and sometimes play dice game. Other than that I don't play any other games. Sports betting is very excitement to me.

Ya I agree slot games are good for kids but not for grown ups. Sports betting is a thrill like nothing else and the excitement it brings it's amazing. Though my last three bets have gone horribly wrong, I yet enjoyed it and will continue to indulge in it. However when I am bored I do play fortune wheel just to pass the time but that's like one in two three months. When I am in mood to play and there nothing to bet, I mean sports so I do go to go too rollio or prime dice and play out there to just for the fun sakes.
8922  Economy / Micro Earnings / Re: Whats the revenue model for Faucet Sites and apps apart form advertisement on: May 09, 2017, 03:33:29 PM
I used some sites to earn satoshi like freebitco.in it seems like very legit and also its referral system works fine . I barely see advertisement in this sites But these sites already given huge payout How these sites make revenue apart from advertisement

If you are looking specifically for freebitco.in, like one of the users have said they make money on mining, and they make some serious money to dole out the interest to all. Then they make money on the hi and lo game, there are many who have spent a fortune trying to get 8888 but have never got, including me. Then people spend coins buying lottery tickets, which no one knows who wins again pure profit. Plus all the huge amount they have now will getting them more interest, but not all facuets make such good income, freebitco.in has earned it's reputation and hence they are profitable.
8923  Economy / Speculation / Re: Should I sell my BTC or buy more? on: May 09, 2017, 05:35:57 AM
Hello everyone,

I was wondering after yesterday when the price went from 1400usd to 1600usd if I should sell it now or not?

It's not much but have around 1.2 bitcoin now.

I have also heard somewhere that the price will rise further because countries are going to use it.

Let me know! Smiley

I will explain you with a quote be fearful when people are greedy and greedy when people are fearful. Right now people will enter into panic mode (fearful) and they will end up selling it and the price will yet keep on going up. Every fall is a opportunity to buy rather than sell. Bitcoins long term future are strong and the price shall keep on going, cause people shall keep on buying. Plus there a rumor of Bitcoin being used in Olympics in Japan and now you can imagine the boost it shall give the price. So hold on tight to your coins.
8924  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Cricket match prediction discussions on: May 08, 2017, 03:47:42 PM
Today we have Hyderabad vs Mumbai and I feel that Mumbai are going to win this match, they have been consistent from the start and do not have any fear now since they already made it to the next level but they may try to improve their points as well as net run rate. Also they can give chance to other players to check their bench strength
Both teams already qualified semifinals, yup maybe Mumbai will do some changes in their team. I am expecting a big fight in this game. Warner is in good form, and another batsman is helping him to make a big score in all matches. I think in this match we see 200+ runs. My choice is also Mumbai, but we can not underestimate SRH.
No sir you are wrong . SRH haven't still qualified to the playoffs if punjab wins all the three remaining matches then SRH will be eliminated ( if they loose both the matches ) so this is an important match for SRH to seal their place in top 4.

The match looks quite even between Mumbai and Srh, I yet believe Mumbai can easily make 160+ and Yuvraj is now of the field if he doesn't return I feel it will be advantage Mumbai Indians, I feel they will go on to win the match is it a good time to play a good hand, or wait but then lower rates will come. What are your thoughts is any one playing now or deferring it till the end, it's a gut call but I feel Mumbai Indians should win it cause they have the bowlers but do let me know your views.
8925  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Macron supporting bitcoin? what does it mean for us? on: May 08, 2017, 06:00:54 AM
He's just won the election and ledger is based in Paris put two on two maybe they funded his campaign and in return he did this stunt? Or after Japan he is already considering a legal law for Bitcoins. It will be interesting to see if he actually does it, he says it's a new start, people need support and he wants to kick start things. By making a law for Bitcoins, he can earn good revenue from the taxes and also make a name for taking bold decision, however till he give more clues about his intention, let's wait and watch and pray for the best.
8926  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: [Food for thought] Japan + Bitcoin + Tourism + Olympics = ? on: May 08, 2017, 05:54:57 AM
If your 1+1 is anything to go buy it could be a genius master stroke by Japan. They will have a huge reserves of Bitcoin in their vaults thanks to Bitcoins, plus when they convert them their economy will receive a solid push. This is some amazing calculations done by the Japanese, and honestly if I travel I do prefer to use my mobile as a payment mode, rather than that wallet I need to be worried for through out the journey. It will be interesting to see in coming times if they will install Bitcoin atms in stadiums for people to use and pay and that shall give Bitcoins a tremendous boost.
8927  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Please recommend wallet on: May 07, 2017, 04:34:15 PM
Is there a wallet we can use to store Bitcoin and all other assets such as LTC, ETH, DASH, DCR?

Click on my signature one of the best wallets available in the market. Plus it supports all the currencies. It's quick and easy to load and understand. You can very easily operate it and I already started using it. Plus bonus they give is a 50% affiliate bonus. So I feel all your needs are satisfied with Bit.ac wallet. They are here in bitcointalk.org so you can even reach to them in case of any help required. Hopefully this is the answer you are looking for.
8928  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitwala – A Global Blockchain Banking service on: May 07, 2017, 03:59:22 PM
Charges of 0.5% is a fixed charge or per a amont cause it will be expensive for many people who transacts high amount daily, maybe you should consider revising it. Also which countries are acceptable, which are not. Any documents needed or what's the verification process. Will you be able to transfer it to bank account? And can you elaborate more on the security features if it's strong enough. Terms and conditions page is also required, and any user has used it give a review.
8929  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Are lightweight bitcoin wallets less secure? on: May 07, 2017, 01:06:31 PM
because an SPV client does not have the whole blockchain. so they can not do the verification on themselves. they need to rely on Full nodes to give them honest answers.

the reason why many use them is because it is easier to use a light wallet which will only take minimum of 30-40 MB of your Hard Disk and nearly no bandwidth compared to running a Full node which will require at least 100 GB (i think 2 GB in prune mode) of your hard disk and requires a lot of your network traffic also.

read more here: https://en.bitcoin.it/wiki/Thin_Client_Security

It has been explained really well by talkbitcoin and I don't think using a light weight wallet is really that big a issue. As I have seen people use it and they have user it for quiet a while without any issue been reported or their coins being lost. However all this users would barely have huge transactions, all are had mid range transactions and so they did not face any issue. You need to make a call depending on your transactions, your hard disk capacity and bandwidth speed. Even if you stick to a light weight one, it should just work fine for you.
8930  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread (EPL) on: May 07, 2017, 10:58:15 AM
Today match Liverpool vs Southampton as liverpool playing at home their winning chances are good, go for both team to score goal,

Arsenal vs Man United - Arsenal playing home so same this game also their winning chances are good,

Chelsea vs Middlesbrough -  Chelsea winning bet is good,

today parlay, Liverpool, Arsenal and Chelsea, good parlay to win.

I don't know about other matches but Manchester United vs Arsenal Mourinho has a 12-0 streak against Wenger. The team that will start today will be a mystery for Wenger and he won't be able to plan anything for it. Arsenal have questioned Ozil and Sanchez is yet to agree to a contract over all, I find it very difficult for arsenal to win, and even with a second team if Mourinho does it, I see Manchester United winning it. My score line is 1-0 or at max 2-1 Manchester United Mata should score if he starts or Martial or herrick.
8931  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Use Social Media for Bitcoin on: May 07, 2017, 05:47:32 AM
So recently I was using this app called Instagram (in case some of you never heard of it) and I posted some pictures & videos related to Bitcoin on my Instagram Stories (Like that day when the price goes insanely high and keep going til now). Then 2 days ago some of my friends suddenly asked me about what Bitcoin is & how could the price goes up like that. And I was surprisingly glad to know that I've influenced some people to get to know Bitcoin. And then I introduced them to Bitcoin and answer their questions about it, there were 3 people asking about Bitcoin that day just because of this 1 post.

I mean why don't we just use this power of social media to make people aware about this Cryptocurrency, well I know that there are already some people doing this (like those YouTube channels).
But what I'm talking about here is to us to post something about Bitcoin on our social media, you can just at least post something like your first transaction with Bitcoin and share your story on your Facebook or take the picture of your book that you just bought from the internet using your Bitcoin and then post it on your Twitter.

Don't be afraid to share your experience, you won't get hurt by doing it!(at least not now)

Well it's worth a try, Bitcoin and social media problem is the people on social media have a short span of 10 seconds per post. Secondly in thier very first attempt they cannot understand Bitcoins and litteraly term it as a spam. Thirdly then they will consult some person who's not heard of Bitcoins, have some absurd things feed to them and then when you try to explain it becomes a difficult task. What you could do is make a insta handle with Bitcoin name in it and copy a handle of course, get users and star posting that shall really help. Do post links if you decide to do.
8932  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: I don't get it?! on: May 06, 2017, 03:44:38 PM
Hey guys,

could someone suggest me a good source to understand the upcoming problem with Bitcoin and everything related to it?
As I don't really understand what is coming?
Or simply sum it up in 2-3 sentences. Especially what about LTC and Segwit and so on, tried to :/ understand but didn't get it.

Thanks!

Greetings

Its a sabotage attempt honestly but so far it's all in thin air, so far nothing has happened and I don't think it will happen. What's worrying you and many other newbies is why is transactions getting stuck so you could just up the prices and it will sail through. As far other problems, I would not really read to much into it, the price is strong, the fundamentals looks strong, so I would just buy on dips and wait before something concrete happens so far nothing has happened.
8933  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How do you convince people into you using Bitcoin? on: May 06, 2017, 03:36:04 PM
Many people need big proof to satisfy that this site is legit ..whats the best way to convince your relatives or friends

What site? As far your Bitcoin question of course on the first go people won't like the idea. It's not easy for people to understand a alien concept all of sudden. So best and simplest way, make them male a btc account you can use the wallet in my signature or coinbase.com. Then give them few $ worth satoshi's. And then see after few days how wild they go after Bitcoins. Then secondly get them here to on this forum they will learn a lot and profit. Also they will be able to buy a lot of stuff with Bitcoins.
8934  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How does Luke Jr expect segwit to be activated? on: May 06, 2017, 03:31:46 PM
Luke JR is on record claiming Litecoin is a scamcoin:

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=23768.msg3815348#msg3815348

He is also recently on record claiming segwit will eventually activate:

So the question is clear... how does Luke Jr expect segwit is going to get activated? when is "eventually"? How isn't LTC going to keep going up while BTC has all this drama about segwit?

We are never going to have 95% consensus, and all other alternatives don't look good and don't bring certainty. UASF and so on, could end up badly.

Are you just praying to mother Mary or something? tell us. We want segwit as much as you (except the usual trolls) but let's be realistic, I don't see it happening, which means it's time to pick up some cheap LTC.

Isn't it evident after all what's been happening around that's it's not going to happen, and he knows it to. He will never reach the numbers, and no one actually wants it but this I feel is a attempt to stop the Bitcoin price  momentum. I don't think we should give his statement any attention cause now he can't fool us into believing that it shall happen, why can't he stop doing such gimmicks and just let Bitcoin live in peace for good.
8935  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Any accounts of bitcoin in Japan? on: May 06, 2017, 06:53:27 AM
Bitcoin and crypto currency is slowly starting to buzz in mainstream US news, it isnt big yet but i noticed a few publications focusing on it now.

Was wondering if there was anyone in japan that could give us some idea if the "bitcoin hype" is real? Also, if so have you purchased anything with bitcoin?

Really curious

Bitcoin hype? Isn't it evident that's why they passed a Bitcoin law. They even have it installed in malls and they will soon overtake every country back in using Bitcoins. There is not much buzz in USA who says so? An etf was sent for approval but was rejected had that been approved that would have set usa no 1 users. You don't need to be in Japan to purchase with Bitcoins, you can purchase anything and everything. You can buy vouchers and buy your desired goods. Look in this forum also you can buy yourself goods using Bitcoins.
8936  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: I Had a Dream Aliens Brought Us Bitcoin to Save Our Monetary System on: May 06, 2017, 05:49:34 AM
I know this sounds crazy but I actually had a dream/vision about 3-6 months back that extra-terrestrials brought us Bitcoin to save our Monetary System from full collapse. I have been a silver bug for about 5 years now and continue investing in precious metals. However learning more about Bitcoin I got sucked down the rabbit hole. Been tracking Bitcoin around the time of MT. GOX, maybe a little bit before this.

I can only remember faint parts of the dream, but when I awoke it was very clear to me that the idea wasn't too crazy at all. I always thought for gold and silver to go up everyone would have to dump their dollars and convert to gold and silver. The problem is, we are living in the age of the internet and IOT. Machines will talk to machines and they will trade value too. For fiat to go, a new system must take it's place. The more users who join the Bitcoin economy, the more valuable your Bitcoins will become.

Is Bitcoin the alien? The machine? I read technological Slavery and thought a lot about Bitcoin and it actually becoming conscience. Is bitcoin a machine living organism. Flower and other plants actually grow and train humans to take care of them, when we think it's the other way around. Watch http://www.pbs.org/thebotanyofdesire/. Machines can be organic and maybe this is the beginning of a new era in human nature. One where Nature and Machine become one.

~David BTC Silverspoon  Huh

Who else agrees that op was smoking some crazy joint😂. Well as for your alien theory did they tell you that the creator of Bitcoins was here on this very forum? Or they said he was a alien under human and flesh. What has happened with you is you have watched men in black again and again. Then you got obsessed with Bitcoins and don't know whether you were high or no, your mind put you in a stage where you believe all things to be true. What I would suggest see a therapist they will be able to help you.
8937  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: PSA: **WARNING** ACTIVE PHISHING CAMPAIGN AGAINST BitcoinTalk and BTC-e USERS on: May 06, 2017, 04:51:44 AM
Some asshole initiated a phishing campaign against the users of BTC-e and BitcoinTalk.
They are exploiting the leaked DBs from the major hacks in 2014 and 2015 respectively.

The ones I detected are:
1) Targeting BTC-E users: spoofed emails from LocalBitcoins
2) Targeting BTC-E users: spoofed emails from Blockchain.info
3) Targeting BitcoinTalk users: fake emails from Btc-e with some attached payload.
4) +Several failed login attempts.

The last thing I heard was that the BitcoinTalk DB was being offered for sale in 2016.
Considering this "explosive" sudden campaign my speculation is that either some asshole bought it or it was finally released to the public.

Users of BTC-e and BitcoinTalk who used the same emails to register to all these sites should take extra precaution.
I highly suggest to change not only the passwords of every service (if you haven't already... come on, it's been more than 3 years) AND ALSO change your email addresses.

If the database is of three years old or old in short I feel mostly higher ranked members shall be at risk than newbies and those who have joined a while back, but in any circumstances I feel every one should change his passwords and be on the safe side. What if it's a insider member who's been targeting people who he believes have loads of Bitcoins, without any offense to any members, such scammers could be among us and thanks to op now all will be aware and be safe.
8938  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin Geotagging? on: May 06, 2017, 03:08:47 AM
Do you happen to know if such application exists for Bitcoin? I mean, I know that this has already been accomplished with a cryptocurrency named GeoCoin, but I haven't seen it become a reality for Bitcoin yet.

Could you imagine the possibility of tagging Bitcoins at a specific point in earth? It would encourage anyone to get a grasp at free Bitcoins by just exploring the given area on the map. This would be useful, as well as a fun and rewarding way for newbies to get started with Bitcoin.

What do you think?  Roll Eyes

What's the point of Bitcoin geotagging? Bitcoin is a crypto currency not a advertisment that you need Geo tag. It will surely be used for misue and I don't think there really any need for Geo tag. As it could leave the space open for government to snoop down on Bitcoin, like use Google map and see which address has Bitcoins and on to him. No I don't think it's such a wise idea after all. As far Bitcoin facuets add are concerned they mostly come Geo targeted in many facuets I believe so.
8939  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What if, we advertise bitcoin on T.V.? on: May 05, 2017, 10:30:33 AM
I've just thought about this for a moment but, if we want bitcoin to get more popularity, attention or acceptance would it be nice to make some advertisement about it on T.V.? I don't know if in other countries they advertise bitcoin but in my country, I haven't seen one. How do you think advertising bitcoin will affect the people? Any thoughts?

Advertise Bitcoins as what? Instead of popularity it will raise more and more confusion. Bitcoin is not a product it's a currency, if you want to help in Bitcoin reaching masses insist on transacting only with Bitcoins. Write articles on Bitcoins or share article on Bitcoins and share it to your audiences, or Facebook users. Advertising Bitcoin is a bad idea and depending in your advertisement law, you could end up in trouble as it's not yet legal and people may get offended. So stick to Facebook, insta, twitter.
8940  Bitcoin / Legal / Re: Bitcoin Attorney Discussions on: May 05, 2017, 08:27:40 AM
Dear BTC Talk Community:

I have been involved in BTC/Cryptos and BTC/Crypto Law for the past 3 years and was also on a speaker panel at Inside Bitcoin convention in Las Vegas. I have been an attorney here in Las Vegas for 25 years.

It is tax time so I have had some opinions about cryptos and taxes. It is my legal opinion that Bitcoin earnings only become taxable when they are converted to fiat. However there is a variation I would like to discuss.

If I have Bitcoin, and I make profit (for example) trading Bitcoin, and I then use those earnings to purchase goods or services from a vendor or service provider that/who accepts Bitcoin.....are the earnings that I made on the BTC that I spent for those goods/services taxable?  I'd like some opinions please.

It is my opinion that they would be taxable at the time I spent them as it would be the equivalent to converting to fiat.

What about converting to a pay card? gold? Interesting isn't it?

I'm very much looking forward to the diversity of opinions. Please keep in mind that I believe in paying my taxes and reporting my income and am not here to advise on how to get out of paying taxes, but rather to help us all understand when there is a taxable event, and how to legally minimize the taxes I am responsible to pay.

Thank you BTCTALK community.

George D. Greenberg, Esq

www.attorneybitcoin.com

This is indeed a very intriguing topic out here and I have within me two sides, one side of me says since Bitcoins is neither a currency nor is it accepted as one why should I pay taxes, second side says we should pay tax as normal Fiat usage. However after considering a lot, I decided not to pay any taxes, as I do not purchase Bitcoins I earn them online and I convert for a value of digital currency and I don't see any reason to pay taxes. We are already over taxed in life and last thing need is to pay taxes on Bitcoins. I do pay taxes on all my income, but don't agree that one should pay tax.
