Bump

Bringing this up again as I finally managed to get that 44.95 Mhsh or that 45 Mhsh everyone is talking about.Unfortunately my EVGA FTW3 can do so only with Power Limit at 100% and Core Clock +100 and Memory Clock +600 and of course using the Enlargement Pill.I don't know how others get that 45 Mhsh at Power Limit 65% but I simply can't,just wanted to update everyone that the GTX 1080 ti-s although old cards do not really lose their hashing power like many of us think and they are still capable at 45 Mhsh which makes them better than many cards around especially if you find them cheap in Ebay or other marketplaces.

If you are doing 100% power something is wrong.

but it is an old card.

100% = 45Mhsh

Please test
 95%  =  ?
 90%  =  ?
 85%  =  ?
 80%  =  ?
 75%  =  ?
 70%  =  ?

I have found just about every single Nvidia card I have mined with (300 or so) has a tipping point.

 say on your card :
100% does 45.0
 95% does 43.5
 90% does 43.0
 85% does 42.3

 80% drops to 32.

could you test those other numbers? I am interested if the fall off is tiny until 80% to 75% or whatever.

Most 1080tis can go down to 70  or 75%  before hash drops a ton.

I was wondering if there's a category of people who support the vaccine, as naturally intrigued by research projects and public experiments, but chose to abstain as not getting paid to test new medical research?

I've otherwise stayed out of the debate for a while, just listening to friends who say they will never get it and we need to fight, as well as others who claim I am dumb for not having it already. Truth be told, my main argument for not getting the vaccine is my sock draw is always a complete mess. I have to keep rearranging it with thinner socks at the front for the warmer weather, but with access to thicker socks for work and gardening. It's a real nightmare to be honest and is a lot of maintenance for me, it's meant I simply haven't had the time to join this research project. That and the day I genuinely considered having the vaccine - "the day" as others put it - a beautiful butterfly landed on my knee (that was dirty from soil work) and with persistence decided to clean me while gaining sufficient nutrients, or so I assume. I tried to deter this creature but they were so persistent and determined so I gave up. It completely distracted me from thinking about taking the vaccine, and personally haven't thought about it since.

I otherwise support everyone who has become part of this experiment, I genuinely salute you all! Medical advancements are needed, and this is a very well controlled study with an amazing sample size. I look forward to the continued results of this experiment in the coming years. Naturally I'm skeptical with any untested medicines/vaccines that haven't gone through the test of time, at least 2-3 years but realistically 10 years for the full research to be discovered.

If you're part of the older generation then for sure you have nothing to lose, but personally, I feel I've still got a lot to live for. None the less, I appreciate all of you who are vaccinated for being part of this study so I don't have to  Smiley

I would like for you to answer me and say I am part of the study and I am one of the reasons MSM is running around saying since Jan 1 99.2% of covid dead are not vaccinated.

You are helping to create the study. The only way to opt out of the study it to kill yourself.

Everyone else is in the study.

The problem I have is your bolded statement as you actually think you are exempt from the study.

It you you want to opt out of the study suicide is the only way to not be included.

Unless you have your own rocket ship and leave the planet.

I do not have an issue with you opted to not take a shot.
I do have an issue thinking that means you are not in the study.

Fair point, you're completely right and hadn't considered this angle, can't argue against that logic to save my non-vaccinated life. You must be very logical individual given the number of other users that overlooked this factor, something I deeply admire to be honest.

I therefore take back the fact I'm not part of this study in a wider sense, even if not part of the isolated and well-controlled vaccination study directly. Potentially being part of the minority un-vaccinated will be as valuable (if not more valuable) medical research then being part of the vaccinated majority, only time will tell. I'm more than happy to be able to potentially contribute regarding this medical research in the future for sure, I do love new discoveries, experiments, innovations, etc.

For sure if I ever got tested positive for covid, I'd happily submit any relevant information required to assist in the necessary research. Ultimately though, as someone who was engaged in relief packages to many isolators and covid positive cases in the early days of lockdown for many months, the likelihood of me already coming into contact with it was extremely high. I additionally made the effort to intentionally expose myself as intensely as possible at that time in order to try and build immunity, while responsibly avoiding putting others at risk. This while also maintaining an incredibly healthy fitness routine and solid diet. Think consuming any physical contact before washing hands, wearing a mask but exposing myself to non-mask wearers etc.

When the initial lockdown occurred and the streets were deserted with the exception of the licensed workers such as myself risking our lives in order to assist (potentially even save) others, it's hard not to think I came in contact with at least one strain of the virus, repeatedly I imagine, despite no-one directly around me testing positive either. Hence I don't feel the need for a vaccine personally, I think I'm past that point in time now to due high exposure. If there was another lockdown I'd return to relief work I imagine (as adore the freedom of the apolocalyptic outdoors more than anything else), and hopefully I'd be able to do this un-vaccinated to avoid the potential of losing valuable research data.

It's nice to know that I am therefore playing my part in this public experiment so I appreciate your valuable insight. I felt a bit selfish not participating directly to be honest, even if seems unncessary due to the large sample size already, but ultimately it does make me feel a lot better now Smiley

But I sure this post will simply anger you and you will not be able to see a very simple truth.

You don't know me very well it seems, it's best to avoid making assumptions without solid facts to backup such a statement Wink

Nice reply.

You will know the wall draw.

It is under 20 bucks and your gear is worth a lot more than 20 bucks.

If it stays at 580 - 620 watts at the wall you are good to go.

That power amount is safe

The rig is worth well over 1000 usd.

Blowing up a psu can kill off GPUS and or the mobo.

Also you can understand over and under clocking and your watt to hash ratios.

IE :

1) underclock  undervolt to 550 watts and do 110 mh

2) push and do 625 watts and 115mh

the first choice is likely better.

As for concrete and pylons depends on code.

I can do this with  a gravel pad and not be called permanent structure  so no tax on it and no permit.

If I do concrete I need a permit.

This is different from a concrete pad. It can be either a concrete block or you can cast concrete cylinders.

this rests on the ground not permanent I could have used it

this is attached would be permanent I would need a permit and be subject to tax.

I have been lucky so far with poison ivy with no incidents though my wife has had it a few times. I almost wonder if there's such a thing as immunity.

Poison Ivy is weird shit.
If I get exposed it takes 10 days to appear which is very unusual time most people will see problems in 3-5 days.

So my right arm which was digging around the roots of the stump with a small spade got it first at the wrist above the gloves. It had the most exposure and sweated in the heat.
My left arm got it next a day later much less of a problem less exposure.
My stomach got it after that because of
 1) fat which slows the symptoms
 2) I was wear a shirt which slowed exposure.
Finally both hips near the bone got it from resting my gloved hands on my hips over the 2 days it took to get all roots and stumps out.

What save me from really fucking up was two showers both days.
Careful handling of the clothes.

So no exposure to the private areas . @nohomo

I am not sure why I did not get any on my face but I guess I did not wipe sweat off my face with my gloved hands.

I did not know that roots 18 months old were still an issue.

So on day 10 it began by day 14 it was on both arms entire stomach and hips.  The hips itched like a mofo  by day 20 it was almost gone. A very little remains on both hips as I type.

Waiting for shed to arrive today.

Speaking go wood prices.  I wanted to line the inside with this item

the inside walls are about 13ft  4 inches

I would do three or four on front long wall
I would do the whole back long wall
I would use 8 foot ones on the  solid side wall.
I would spray this in the first foot of the space it makes.

Building the bluestone pad was about 800 and 100 for the poison ivy treatments.
I was more sore from the poison Ivy then I was from moving 4.5 tons of gravel into place.

I was thinking of just going with concrete pylons and wooden posts. Would you advise against?

I have heard with the poison ivy, the best bet is to wash thoroughly with detergent after contact. You need to catch it early though so if you were not aware it may not have helped.

Yes since it was dirt and roots. I did not think they were roots from the Poison Ivy as 18 months ago  I  killed off the Poison Ivy with roundup .

Also there was a small tree stump I dug out while laying on the ground sweating like a mofo.. If you get exposed to the oils and are sweating you simply absorb the oil and washing is less helpful.

I have been good with Poison Ivy after getting it really bad back in 1968..  2 or 3  showers after any known exposure kept it very small.  This time I worked in the dirt sweating for 2 hours so the showers were most likely too late.

Well the next shed this fall I will let a young guy do the work fuck saving the $600.  BTC is on the rise. Grin

Presuming that you are building it rather than a premade, since you continue to mention lumber prices.. and sure, I suppose if you order a premade.. they are quoting you based on then lumber prices.

Do you already have your workers lined up, or you building it yourself?

While I have nothing against buying pre-prepared (kit would have been more likely than a premade. Access is tricky), I couldn't find a design that was quite the way I liked. So self-built it is. Wooden boxes are not exactly rocket science after all.

Nothing like maintaining symmetry with the neighbor.  #nohomo

It may be a little taller Wink

I will tell you years ago say 1994 I built the sheds. They lasted til now.

But with the ability to get one pre built matching my siding and my roof.
I let them do it.

Building the bluestone pad was about 800 and 100 for the poison ivy treatments.
I was more sore from the poison Ivy then I was from moving 4.5 tons of gravel into place.

So 900 and three days time for the pad.

I also had a tree guy cut a few trees 🌳 but they were going shed or no shed.

I got a 1500 estimate for the pad so I save 600 bucks.

I killed all the poison Ivy in March 2020 when we put the white vinyl fence in.

I used a shit ton of roundup and it never came back,

But digging the dead roots out to level the ground is what gave me the poison ivy.

The plants were dead for  more than 18 months. Still fucked me up.

worst case I have had since I was 11 years old back in the sixties .

I will end up with a second one and have a stone patio put in the center of them.

As i read @philipma1957 post
Just got used to LHR.
Mine RVN or ERGO or pay more for GPU you want.

the interesting thing about the omen pc tower on hp.com is an entire pc is only 100-200 more than buying

just the 3060ti on ebay.
8972  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: LHR GPU user opt in on: August 11, 2021, 06:49:19 PM
I'm only making 4.7$ on my rtx3070ti mining kawpow (Ravencoin) that's pretty bad right? But what if ravencoin grows higher in price I'm sure LHR or Not won't matter anymore to people, I have a friend who just build a 3060 farm and he doesn't even care if they are LHR or not lol, 🤣🤣 anyways that's that pls kindly drop your LHR kawpow hashrate and settings if u can and also what do you have to say about LHR GPU future? Do you think a fix will come?

What is your hashrate? What miner you are using? What OC? Depends on your settings.

rtx3070ti are always LHR version, there are no other version out. Same for the 3060.

You can use miniZ to mine ETH with a 3060 at around 40mh.
What about RTX 3060Ti? Are they all LHR? I have a pal that owns 6 3060 and only two are LHR the rest are hashing around 49-50MH on Ethereum network what do you have to say about that? Also there are sellers in China that knows the difference of NON LHR and LHR GPUs so they labeled them to avoid buyers complaining

No the 3060ti FE is still good.

good luck finding it.

the 3070 FE is still good

https://www.bestbuy.com/site/nvidia-geforce-rtx-3070-8gb-gddr6-pci-express-4-0-graphics-card-dark-platinum-and-black/6429442.p?

good luck with that one.

and the 3080 FE is also good.

But they are all full hash.

If you buy an omen pc direct from hp.com. you can get the 3060ti in it

Well one good thing about covid is township changed rules on sheds.

I can have 2 of them. 120 sq ft each.

Vs 1 at 100 sq ft.

I opted for a 8 by 14 = 112 sq ft. as my fence has a 10ft gate so I can not fit a 10 ft shed.

gate below

pad I did myself 4.5 tons of 3/4 inch bluestone.  Wicked case of poison ivy clearing the brush out.

shed it will have a mirror image on the right Side of the  yard. maybe by fall.

This should allow me to organize spare parts and keep the mining parts out of the house.

Cost was 4600 for shed well made all real plywood inside and 2 by 4  on 16 inches for framing.
The top windows let in a ton of light.
And the lower windows let in more.
A lock on the  double door.

I paid 240 for the bluestone
I paid 160 for black weed block
I paid 300 for 4 by 4 wood
I paid 100 for some stainless steel anchors and hardware.

So 5400. oh 100 bucks for Poison Ivy treatments. Roll Eyes

I will photo it in place  later on.

Perhaps. We have been spoiled by the last few epochs  Wink
I have to say that I'm pleased as punch with price - between the tax harvesting I did when BTC hit 30k (selling most of the amount I had bought at 43k to take the Capital Gains loss then next day buying back at 29.5k) I'm certainly 'above water' once again. Just kinda/sorta wish I had been a bit braver and bought more at the dip  Tongue

Still a smart move.

and a diff of  15.7 at 46k is  better than a diff of 23.1 at 63k

It's fake, but still has a lot of truth.  Grin Grin Grin Remember DAO and the hack in 2016! Back then it caused a crash in the market. Not this time! The bull is strong! Regarding the decentralized part in eth, defi or any other crypto project: devs rolled back the blockchain of eth without the full miners consent, which gave birth to etc; year after year they made HF after HF without asking the users or the miners. The last one burns the extra fees which used to go to the miners. And soon they will switch to POS which will benefit mostly the devs holding 70%+ of premined eth. The same more or less is valid for any defi "project". It should be called Cefi, not Defi! The only good thing about eth existence is that it allows mining bitcoins with gpus. These are more user friendly and attracted millions which otherwise wouldn't invest directly in Bitcoin. The conviction to became a Bitcoin hodler grew up simultaneously as I was making a good profit by mining. And for many of the miners eth is just an intermediary to bitcoin, nothing more. I don't care about its future and I won't hold or stake anything! And I don't care about missed future profits by selling everything that I mined so far. At the moment it switches to POS, it is a dead project to me. I'm 100% sure that if a project loses completely it's decentralization part, it will die in a matter of months or several years tops.

Yeah that pretty much exactly what I think of Eth.

Mr V would need to personally send me two coins . (Long complex story)

Then resign and appoint  a multi person development team.  Along with changing the algorithm  to progpow. Promising to run Pow until 2030.

At that point it would be a shit coin rather than the money trap it is.

@ biodom pos is simply a junk bond concept wrapped in a corporation that is nonexistent.

But I am mining ⛏ Eth and cashing it to btc daily.

After the London HF you'll have to find another chain because as soon as (!!!) they switch to POS you'll be out of business. Grin Grin Grin
I know you're prepared.

All the cards are paid off.  So if I sell them at 50% of msrp it is all profit, but that is 2022 or 2023 I will worry then.

The key to mining is DCA the gear do not over pay and over expand.

 Cheap power is a given.
 Safe location.

I think the PolyNetwork team can go and fuck off, good chance they stole the money themselves anyways.

if they convince the hackers to repent and send back 575 million of the 600 million.  You are very likely correct.
