8981  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: What altcoin to buy during this pop? on: May 28, 2017, 06:39:34 PM
XRP and XEM are the most hype coin. Better to buynow before you left behind.
XRP is mostly falling down in price lately, although it does have a big marketcap. Some people say it will grow in price, because this is the only chance for banks to survive. Thus, they are likely to adopt it and support the price. Plus, as there are lots of coins, even if the price slightly grows, it immediately changes the situation. In this way it is good as an investment but I just don't like the whole idea of ripple, so I bought some litecoins when the price dropped to 20 dollars.
8982  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: ETH maybe easily be replaced by ETC on: May 28, 2017, 06:27:14 PM
I don't think ETC is under as active development as ETH... and PoS is not even robust in theory at this time.
Yes, but the thing is that in case eth gets proof of work, people with lots of technical stuff for mining will have to turn to something else. ETC is the easiest thing to turn to since it is still not worthless and it is easy to mine this coin instead of ethereum, because they are built on the same platform.
But we shouldn't forget that etc crushed and really is an abandoned version of the currency built on this platform.
8983  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Are We Stuck with These Alts? on: May 27, 2017, 02:14:42 PM
just sell the alts or baghold.. the only thing you will lose is time.. they will repump
Now is definitely not the time for selling. And I hope users of this forum weren't victims of panic selling. Now is a perfect time to buy some stuff. We all remember the prices a few days ago, so we know was can be achieved for sure by this or that currency. As this is true, it is quite easy to decide which coins to buy before they all recover.
8984  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: The end of Pumping Season... on: May 27, 2017, 01:49:53 PM
After pumping season is before pumping season.
Perfectly said. Today is an awesome day! I woke up and checked whether the money from month of work in signature campaign was sent. On blockchain I saw that the money is sent but the sum in dollars was suspiciously small. I looked at btc price and saw a bit more than 1900. At fisrt I was really upset. Then I went on coinmarketcap and so this fully red list of coins. My eth was $128 instead of $200+. But then I recalled that I was waiting for a long time till litecoin drops to $20 to finally buy some!
As the situation with cryptos was suspicious, I read what's the reason of such drops to find out whether it is related to technical problems of currencies revealed or something. When I found out that it is just about coinbase, I finally got some litecoins.
8985  Economy / Services / Re: ✪Signature Campaign✪[vDice.io]➽Ethereum Blockchain Gambling [Re-opened 4th Mnth] on: May 25, 2017, 08:56:03 AM
If there is still a free spot, I would be more than happy to re-apply for another month. My previous month has officially finished two days ago.
Starting post count: 1304
8986  Economy / Economics / Re: The best investment you ever made? on: May 22, 2017, 08:03:46 PM
I do altcoin trading. So far i get good profit. But i can't say this is the best investment I've ever made. I joined ICO recently. I hope this will be my best investment. I believe it could give me a huge profit. But i don't realky rely on one investment only. I have a propect altcoin which i would like to buy in the future. But its not available for now.
Is altcoin trading really profitable? How does one know in which coin to invest? I see trading as a potentially nice source of income but for now I just try watching how it goes.
As for ICO - I think you know that people mostly say investing in it is a very bad scamming idea.

My best investment was my only investment in eth. I bought 0.998 eth when it cost $16. It is about $165. It is really good investment I made as an experiment. I plan to buy litecoin in a few days. I hope they'll lead me to success as well.
8987  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: We're in a bubble on: May 22, 2017, 07:53:13 PM
Bubble? I don't think so. The whole altcoin market is still very, very small and no one can question its great potential. I think we are just watching a natural consequence of the current distrust in the fiat economic model and an increasing interest in the alternate coins.
What do you mean by a small coin market? There are 3 currencies with a so called 'large cap' in altcoin world. Bitcoin is 37, ethereum is 17 and ripple is 12 billion dollars. Together it makes 66 billion of marketcap I think if we add other coins here, we'll have around 70+ billion. I think this is a very big market indeed.
As for increase being natural, I would rather agree with the OP that it is quite sheaky and dangereous right now. There are big problems with bitcoin and other coins are now even really used. I hope people will start using coins (and there will appear more opportunities to do that) and we'll be saved. As for now, we are in a very big potential trouble. Coins are not designed to be stored in wallets. They ought to be functioning.
8988  Economy / Services / Re: ✪Signature Campaign✪[vDice.io]➽Ethereum Blockchain Gambling [Full] on: May 21, 2017, 03:32:20 PM
Will this campaign continue for another month? It is sad if it won't. It is nice to be working with you.
8989  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Ethereum headed for the stars this week on: May 21, 2017, 03:29:08 PM
Many more companies will join Ethereums' vast network this week and Ethereum today is officially more profitable to mine than BitCoin. Don't let the Whales lure you into panic selling. Hold this week for easy profits, get in when you can. It's going to be fun!
What are the big companies in queue ?
I read few news on adopting eth (and ethereum classic too) but I am not find them enough to take it to stars. I guess etherreum already into over bought zones, any simple slip may lead to heavy disasters so there be less possibilities of real fun out there.
Yeah, I didn't hear about more companies adopting eth, so I guess the only thing which can have impact on its price in the near future is PoS. If ethereum makes it then the price is expected to grow (I think it will be around 250 dollars in this case). How much time is left till it can happen - no idea. 75% completeness was announced around a month ago. And I've seen videos about a year or two old and there people expected PoS switch at the end of 2016.
8990  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Will bitcoin eventually kill Altcoin? on: May 21, 2017, 02:21:08 PM
This is not true, the opposite happens historically - when BTC goes up ALTS follow.

were you living under a rock this past December?  They eventually do, but there is always a lag, btc price rise has always hurt alt prices in the short term.
When bitcoin price rises, immediately it has a negative impact on altcoins prices but temporarily. Then slowly, altcoins start to recover from price fall.We could not say that altcoins survival is entirely dependent on bitcoin.Altcoins do have some features not provided by bitcoin,So altcoins would still exist even if bitcoin price goes to million dollar.
I think it is quite wrong. Look at bitcoin and main alts right now to see that there are times when btc growth leads to altcoins growing as well. From  16 to 20 of May bitcoin grew from $1700 to $2000. Ethereum grew from $90 to $120 at the same time with no drops in price (maybe the price went from $92 to $89 but that is too insignificant). Litecoin went down from 25 to 20 dollars and grew up to 27 dollars there. So I think we should stop saying that btc price grows has negative impact on the price of altcoins, since it is just wrong.
8991  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: LTC to 0.028 BTC $50 Final squeeze 6000 BTC Bull run on: May 20, 2017, 07:05:59 PM
It's just a pre segwit bull run and when the time comes of activation of segwit there will be a bearish market and it's the same as of the lauch of other altcoins on exchanges which hosts IOU tokens, once the time of their release comes nearby, the price of IOU tokens increase and then after launch they get dumped to death.

Yeah pretty sure the price is already taking into account the activation of Segwit.
Wait for a small drop then buy and hold, because the long-term looks good IMO.
The price started growing on the news that segwit is going to be activated but before it really happened as far as I remember. And there was a big drop in price after the activation which wasn't expected to happen (-15% on marketcap). Perhaps, things are now getting okay but the price is quite stable. I want it to drop to $20 and then I'll buy some litecoin just like you want to do it.
What I meant to say by this post is that it doesn't look like segwit is making the price grow superfast. It rather helps litecoin to keep what it has achieved so far IMO.
8992  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: With BTC Problems, I would Like to Look at an EASY to use Alt on: May 20, 2017, 06:54:02 PM
So far I was dealing with litecoin only in attempts to buy/sell and earn this way. Ethereum seems easy to use but I can't tell you about the fees. I didn't have many transactions but those which I had proceeded instantaneously. People say litecoin is fast and cheap, I think this is also true. Other alts are not taken that serious yet and so there aren't many ways to use them anyhow.
8993  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Returning to bitcoin after 2 years! shocked at confirmation time! on: May 19, 2017, 08:12:16 PM
Yeah man, you have to accept the truth. Too many people are using Bitcoin and the technology of Bitcoin is not being improved yet. That is why it is still remaining slow and may become slower in the future
If it hasn't been improved yet then it is sort of okay. The question is whether it is possible to improve it at all. Segwit can delay the risk of the chain splitting. However, as I heard, the transaction may proceed even longer, since at first it will be hard to confirm this new kind of code.
Some say that the time of pending can be reduced by bigger payment and that is okay. I think that it is good there is an ability to reduce it but it is not okay to pay more than a dollar just for a transfer of money.
I think these ideas about bitcoin implemented in everyday life where you can buy goods in supermarket via btc are now a total fantasy.
8994  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [vDice.io]►Ethereum Blockchain Gambling►►**New & Awesome Version of Site on: May 19, 2017, 08:02:01 PM
By the way, how is process of creating new vDice game going? There wasn't any new updated on vDice blog since 11th April.
AFAIK this game should be around the corner already, as it was advertised to be released mid May.

Also, as others already said - minimum bet requirement needs to be lowered ASAP.
Yes, I want to ask about minimum low requirement as well.
Apart from that I wanted to ask: why doesn't vdice to some challeges to promote the site? For example, Torcoin made a video challenge (of course, it is payable). It can be done as a contest or as something which has to be done by first one or two people and they get payed. I think this could've attracted more attention to this site and it could become more popular.
8995  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Why i prefer POW over POS on: May 17, 2017, 07:21:47 PM
POW is shit. It damages the whole environment. We should save the natural, not kill it. The environment is very very terrible and and we need to improve within our posibility
Did you mean PoS being shit? Because PoW is actually what one can call 'natural'. That's how it is with bitcoin and most of altcoins. Some are getting ready for the big change (like ethereum) and are ought to change. I think that neither PoW not PoS kills anything. Miners can start mining something else if a coin changes. And I guess PoS is better at least because there is no useless waste of energy on this thing.
8996  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: [ASK] Why do people buy altcoin? on: May 17, 2017, 06:53:51 PM
*Biggest problem of every project is funding, and if right way is not found it will be very hard to see real progress, if we talking seriously. Crowdfunding is approved only if can create sustainable system which can evolved over time if there is need.
*Decentralization is the future, we can see it on BTC example which is favored on market.
*Simplicity of usage another one important fact.
*Transfer ability between different platforms.
*Fast transaction and micro payments.
*Secure network.
*Stability if you want to be used as money.

I think till now we didn't saw one who can answer all those questions, but still we investing.. Wink
I think what you names here are rather aspects people seek for when they choose altcoins not only as investment but as future money. I didn't get the point about crowd funding being somehow a part of a problem and approved only under specific circumstances. Decentralization seems like a reason for altcoins but it is not enough, for people may stay on btc and not want to deal with alts. Simplicity of usage is a good feature, especially for a wallet.
I think the best point here is that, apart from trying to earn money by trading or to guess what will the future be like people seek for altcoins because of extremely slow transactions with bitcoin.
8997  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What's the best Ethereum wallet? on: May 17, 2017, 06:40:03 PM
What's the best Ethereum wallet, expect for my Myetherwallet?

ethereum-wallet net? that's the only ethereum wallet I know, but I don't know if it's best ethereum wallet because I don't use it. I'm using MyEtherwallet because I can store here some altcoins.
I keep my eth in ethereum-wallet net. It is useful, because you need only login and password to enter the wallet, it is not connected to some specific computer like in the case of half-online myetherwallet. On ethereumwallet.net the interface with very plain and easy, it reminds me a bit of blockchain info. The thing I don't like about wallets is when it is quite hard to understand how to use them or those which work slowly (hard wallets, like torcoin official wallet, for instance). This wallet is not the case.
8998  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is Ethereum better than Bitcoin? Why or why not? on: May 16, 2017, 07:59:53 PM
Is Ethereum better than Bitcoin? Why or why not?
the amount of ethereum is larger than Bitcoin. The technology inside is better. Ethereum is based on the smart contract. You can build many things in the smart contract. Therefore, Ether is better
Although the technology is better in terms of its potential, it is also a lot harder to sustain (so, code is potentially less stable than that of bitcoin). Just recall atacks eth platform has suffered so far. There should be a good reason why bitcoin is still number one and there is nothing even close to btc in terms of price and common recognition. I think bitcoin is uflexible but that also makes it easy and stable for uses among many people.
8999  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Will ZCash Classic pump? on: May 16, 2017, 07:46:25 PM
There's only about 2 days left for zencash. If it is going to pump it is now or never
What do you call 'zencash'?
ZCL is already growing in price. I think the pump is on for a couple of months now. It is explainable why people turn to it, though. There is no 'genius tax' here. To implement it into such a potentially good currency was a big mistake made of greed. All the story of Zcash from its fast drop was a punishment for being greedy.
9000  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: I had luck in which Alt I should invest now on: May 16, 2017, 07:33:46 PM
Leave most of you btc in btc. Or buy some flat or something, I don't know. Don't invest a lot in alts. If you have 50btc, use no more than 5 for investments. Definitely invest in litecoin (2btc). Try investing in ethereum (1btc). And spend one btc nearly randomly on different currencies. Congrats you have so much money and got that lucky with bitcoin. If you remember who told you about btc and thanks to whom you invested - buy them something very good as a present (spend around 1btc on this). Good luck!
