OMG, Liverpool were so bad, they lost again at home Whereas I was so sure when they scored the first goal, they will win

Amazing performance from Crystal palace in April;

Chelsea 1-2 Crystal Palace

Crystal Palace
3-0 Arsenal

Liverpool 1-2 Crystal Palace

Suddenly the chances of Manchester United qualifying for top 4 has just taken a massive boost. First of all, Manchester United have won the game they have two games in hand over Liverpool and if they win both boom they are in top 4 but the fixtures are scary, but then if you look at the way the squad is performing it could well be achieved. d, without any doubt and the fact that Wayne scored tonight, this is just good times. And tonight Liverpool loss is cheery on cake.
8982  Bitcoin / Electrum / Re: Electrum Developer Thomas Voegtlin: Bitcoin Unlimited Is Not a Good Idea on: April 23, 2017, 04:45:30 PM
“I don’t think [Bitcoin Unlimited] is a good idea,” Voegtlin said during the interview. “It’s really a big change; it’s a change in the structure of power in Bitcoin. It’s a very risky hard fork.” He went on to suggest that since the recent AsicBoost scandal, “a lot of people have changed their mind on this” and no longer support Bitcoin Unlimited.

The interview can be found here: https://epicenter.tv/episode/179/
The article: https://bitcoinmagazine.com/articles/electrum-developer-thomas-voegtlin-bitcoin-unlimited-not-good-idea/

Well well finally someone speaks something sensible, there have been so many of us saying that we do not need hard folk and keep Bitcoins as it is but so many of us were ridiculed that it was right and good for Bitcoins and this article once again proves we were right. Hopefully the hard folk shall never ever take place. And this shall help people to finally take a stand.
8983  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Billionaire Mike Novogratz says he has 10% of his money in Bitcoin and Ether on: April 23, 2017, 01:52:09 PM
Quote
Billionaire investor Mike Novogratz is betting big on digital currencies like Bitcoin and Ether.

"Ten percent of my net worth is in this space," Novogratz said at a forum held at the Harvard Business School Club of New York Wednesday. He declined to say exactly how wealthy he is, but he's a former hedge fund manager at Fortress Investment Group and a Goldman Sachs partner who made the Forbes billionaire list in 2008.
It's the "best investment of my life," Novogratz said.

Bitcoin was worth under $500 a year ago. Today the digital currency trades at over $1,200. Back in 2013, Novogratz predicted Bitcoin's value would soar. He remembers people laughing at him at the time.

Since then, Bitcoin's price has been on a wild run. It surged to nearly $1,000 in late 2013 and then fell to under $250 in 2015. It started to fly again last year, around the time of the Brexit vote. It surpassed $1,000 in January of this year again and has kept climbing.
Now Novogratz is saying Bitcoin will go to $2,000.

But he also warned the Harvard Business School Club crowd that there will "likely be a bubble" in digital currencies. The best way to handle it, he argues, is the old Wall Street trick of diversification. Put a little money in a lot of different plays in digital currency.

For example, Novogratz was also an early investor in Ether. It's another digital currency that has quickly emerged as the No. 2 rival to Bitcoin. Novogratz says he bought Ether when it was trading for about $1. Today it's worth over $48.

Novogratz met Vitalik Buterin, the young Russian brainchild behind Ether at a dinner party at a prominent CEO's home. He recalls that Buterin, then 21, showed up late, which struck him as shocking -- and a bit ballsy. He figured it was worth paying attention to Buterin.

Ether is a currency with a "smart contract" function that gives users additional security and abilities to transfer information in addition to monetary value.
We're witnessing the "3rd inning" of this digital asset revolution, Novogratz predicts. He's not exactly sure how it will play out, but he plans to continue investing in digital currencies and Blockchain, the revolutionary technology behind the scenes that makes Bitcoin work.

Blockchain is literally a digital ledger to record and track transactions. What makes it so technologically advanced is that multiple companies or parties can access the Blockchain and see the history of what happened to an asset.

Novogratz has emerged as one of the biggest Wall Street cheerleaders of Blockchain, but his bets haven't always gone so well. He exited Fortress in 2015 after the company shut down his Marco Fund for poor performance. It lost around 20% in its final year after his investments in emerging markets, especially Brazil, tanked.

"We have had an extremely challenging two years, and I do not believe the current environment is conducive to achieving our best results," Novogratz said at the time.

That's one confirmed billionaire betting big on crypto.

I wonder how many others there are who aren't publicly invested yet have a lot riding on btc.

Frankly not surprised that billioners are betting big on crypto currency but what I am surprised is that they are coming out in open, normally they would be hidden but this time openly coming and saying that's one very big positive for the Bitcoin community. I am very sure there are many who will be doing it and they will be surely be coming out in open as they continue to rise with the glory of Bitcoins.
8984  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin ETF on: April 23, 2017, 11:28:31 AM
I have read that the ETF was postponed, is it true?If yes, when it was postponed?

ETF? It is really old news now and despite any misleading information it won't be accepted by the Sec any time soon. They have time and time again rejected the approach for Bitcoins and the last time it was rejected their wordings were clear it won't be accepted ever. Just find the thread out here on this forum it was extensively discussed out here maybe if you find it, you can lock this thread.
8985  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: La Liga (Spanish League) Prediction Thread 2016/17 on: April 23, 2017, 04:59:19 AM
It's the day in the league and I bet every football fan out there is excited. It's just not two teams it's Cristiano Vs Messi of course there are other players to, but they are the main stars. The winner may as well as seal the cup almost seal it. I believe this shall be a very intriguing match for both the team's and it shall be super fun to watch them play it out. I can't even say how excited I am. If Madrid dominates 3-4 goals I expect. If Barcelona dominates 5-0 goals. So where are you all splashing your money on?
8986  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread (EPL) on: April 22, 2017, 04:39:49 PM
So tonight game will most likely decide the champion for Chelsea but for Tottenham this is a must win and with a goal down it will be really difficult for them to win it. Coming to Manchester United their striker is out, center backs are out and Burnley has a good record, and they need to really win, I wonder how they will cope without all their key players. Hopefully they do win it.
8987  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Reminder: Be Open and Helpful To New People To Bitcoin on: April 21, 2017, 03:10:22 PM
I still meet quite a few people who don't have any bitcoins and think they can only buy one.  It's a great reminder that there are still misconceptions that we can correct.  In his case, he and his family are from India so they have concerns about gold, but he's uneasy about buying a full bitcoin at $1200ish.  I pointed out, "You could buy $10 or $20 worth of a bitcoin just to test it out" and he was stunned that this was an option.  For those of us who've been around a while, it's easy to forget that some don't know this.  Be friendly and helpful, as people want to be a part of an open community.

Yes I can understand what the Op and his friends going through. The problem is people often spread nonsense about Bitcoins. And there are people who do not even bother to see basics and then just assume that it's scam or not useful. I have taken pain taking skills to explain people and clear their misconceptions. Honestly I don't get tired now, I treat it as a challenge and have decided to be do whatever I can do to help Bitcoin name prosper, and make sure people are clear about Bitcoins.
8988  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: I have 0.5 BTC how to make money in Investment. on: April 21, 2017, 06:02:32 AM
Hello Everyone,

I have 0.5 BTC, and I don't have time to do trading, So I decided to invest in casino sites, can anyone please explain to me how to invest in online casinos. And how much profit I will get it per month, Which site is better to invest. Please explain me in detail.

Thank you.

I would strongly recommend you not to put money in online casinos or any other online scheme, then either go bust or they reject your claims. I have seen many incidents so I would suggest you not to fall for this. As far investment is considered, Bitcoin is itself an investment, so no need to invest somewhere else. It's prices shall most probably go up. You could try looking at lending section and land it to the most trusted people for a interest.

8990  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: INDIA still facing cash issues: now due to banknote software upgrade delays on: April 20, 2017, 07:34:20 AM
Unfortunately, it appears things are even worse in India right now, with over 90% of the country’s ATMs running dry. Ever since the Indian government began their demonetization efforts, things have gotten out of hand quickly. Late last year, the country’s bank ATMs were on the brink of running dry. The first time happened due to the change from old banknotes to new ones. However, this new debacle is due to a delay in software upgrades.

More information below:

http://www.newsbtc.com/2017/04/17/indias-bank-atms-running-cash-new-banknote-software-upgrades-still-not-completed/

It is evident that access to cash remains a big problem in India, do you think Bitcoin could be part of the solution?

If you are from India, it's easier to say there will be a proper Idea for the same, but last discussion with my Indian friends and they had said Bitcoin is not legal and as early in three months your government is going to be passing a law to curb the use of Bitcoins. Honestly before taking huge bets in Bitcoins, it's best to be sure that it will be legal in coming time or else the prices may just crash.
8991  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What is BTC for you? on: April 18, 2017, 04:44:16 PM
What is bitcoin for you? Is it a chance or a scheme to get rich? Or is it actually to keep your wealth to yourself.
What lead you into bitcoin world and what's keeping you here?

Well Bitcoins is many things for me, it's an investment also it's quick get rich scheme for me to. I also take it as a investment hedge tool. The uses of Bitcoins are a lot and it depends on how and where use it. For me I use it as a for rising profits and to make some quick money. It's important to be careful and make right choices
8992  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin to 1400 on: April 17, 2017, 01:34:37 PM
I think Bitcoin will rise to 1300 then take a pause and come down again and then start to rise again. I feel 1500-2000$ is a reality cause with tensions escalating with China and North Korea it's possible that a war or a mini war may break out. And the popularity of Bitcoin has just increased since start if 2017.Japan has already out in a law for the effect and I forsee other Asian countries to put a law very soon to that effect. And that will give a push to the prices upwards.
8993  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread (EPL) on: April 17, 2017, 04:54:26 AM
Today we can say that Chelsea is a big point loss and 3 points for gold value for Manchester United. Today I can say the star of the game is Rashford. Today, however, the chelsea has never had a proper attack on the scene. I can say that Liverpool got an important 3 points today.
It was an impressive performance from Manchester United ,Marcus Rashford and Ander Herrera scored the goals for them and i never expected them to score goals with ease without Zlatan Ibrahimovic in the line up as he was rested and the rank leaders Chelsea had to settle with a defeat here against them and Tottenham is below them with just four points difference .

On Ander Herrera's performance, it was not just about his goal.  It was how he neutralized Eden Hazard.  In case you guys really watched the game (like most of you really don't), notice how Chelsea didn't have a shot on goal the whole time.  I expected more from Hazard and the rest of Chelsea.  Maybe they were having an off day.  Lol.  Cheesy

All in all, that match was a showing of Mourinho's tactical genius.

The real Manchester United finally turned up last night. What a incredible performance, Hazard who, Kante what and with top 4 incredibly close and Chelsea title race wide open what a night for all Manchester United fans, it's taken him time but Mourinho is finally getting things rolling here. I do hope he turns the heat on europa also, and gets us back in champion league. With the Stars he will be able to get it will be crazy.
8994  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread (EPL) on: April 16, 2017, 04:50:23 AM
Am I the only one who thinks Man United vs Chelsea will be over 2.5 goals?  Both teams will go for the jugular and I think Mourinho should be able to fire up his men, knowing how important this fixure is to get a spot in the top 4.

And Conte isn't gonna be slacking too, there's only a 4 point gap between them and the Spurs.

Are but Chelsea has the best advantage, they had a week off, Manchester United had to play a Europa and will be tired. Pogba the man to deliver just can't find his feet, and Kante just can't stop. It will take absolutely a miracle for Manchester United to win this match. Yes with so less points for Title and top 4 this match is important to all. I do hope Manchester United win it, just can't see them loose. Let's hope for the best. I think a 2-1 results at the end.
8995  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Isn't bitcoin Money? Aren't there only 2 ways to earn bitcoin? on: April 16, 2017, 03:44:42 AM
I am here not for very long time, and I see that all topics regarding earning bitcoins are very hot, people love disusing earning bitcoins.

I am confused. As a human being, we all know how to make money.

Isn't bitcoin Money?

If bitcoin is Money, then the ways to make money are the ways to earn bitcoin, isn't it?

In a word, there are only two ways to make money/bitcoin, legal and illegal. Wink

I do love this saying, "In a word, Bitcoin is MONEY".

Your post shows only you been gone for long time, look at your post makes absolutely no sense. Yes Bitcoin is money and if you look around there a very active thread discussing this. It's a crypto currency that made many rich. Also for your earnings questions again there a very active thread which is going on. You can earn by facuets, signature campaigns, give aways and if you know coding and graphic design many contest out here.
8996  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: North Korea, the new age pirate that targets bitcoin on: April 15, 2017, 05:56:40 AM
https://news.bitcoin.com/north-korea-hackers-stole-bitcoin-2013-2015/

North Korea is the new age pirate and they are not after gold but they are after bitcoin. According to this article North Korea has successfully hacked bitcoin into their hands starting 2013 to 2015. It was also estimated that they have harvested 100 million yuan worth of bitcoin every month from hacking. The community must not be silent against it rather there must be some measures to be done so to avoid this unwanted hacking incidents.

I don't think this article is true. My reasons for believing is if such kind of hacking would have been taking place, how did it go unnoticed, or why did no one reported this kind of before. Then another thing that I am reminded is of ain't Bitcoins banned or not at all allowed in North Korea. So why would North Korea do this. This article also is completely vague on many parts. I feel the Op has been completely mislead by this article and I am sure reading every one comment he will realize that.
8997  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Sports betting question on: April 14, 2017, 03:11:36 PM
I've seen a lot of people sharing their picks about different teams from different leagues. So here's my question which team/athlete have made you the most money from sports betting? For me teams like chelsea, spurs and gonzaga have been money to me lately.

Honestly if that's your strategy its kind of risky. But the most profitable one if you are observing it right. So current season yes Chelsea would have made you earned a good profit. If you were smart prior to atletico match you would have put money on liecsester. Then on real against bayern. And you could have played a blind call on Barca vs psg. Now I juve will win, they are strong and determined and I do expect bayern and real to be very close. Be careful on how you bet.
8998  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Europa League/Champions League Lounge on: April 14, 2017, 03:07:01 PM
1-1 draw is a decent result for Man United in an away game in Europe. Man United will progress into the semi-finals if they win against Anderlecht in the second leg. This should not be a problem if United can start to win their home games. Winning the Europa League is the only avenue when United has a decent chance of qualifying for the Champions League next year so United needs to win the second leg.

No matter how good the result is, it's dangerous for me. Especially Manchester United, who spend a lot of positions, also underestimate their opponent in general, which is a disadvantage for them.

Although Anderlecht is not a very effective team, a Contra team may be another team in their league, but it is not certain that a surprise team can score 2 goals.

What were Manchester United players doing last night? They control the game, make chances and then only forget to do most important thing poke the ball in the net. Luckily they did get one, but conceded also. And as usual Pogba won't even be criticised even once, DE gea, Shaw, henrick all players are publicly criticized but not Pogba, he missed a sitter yesterday, patience is really running out. I hope he performs really better next match and may United win or forget all top players
8999  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: if someday the network internet totally dead . on: April 14, 2017, 06:35:07 AM
what if someday when bitcoin has become the main payment instruments in the world. and how when the Internet network paralyzed. it means that we all can not perform various financial transactions? , is there any solution ?

The only solution is to wake you up from your bad dream. The scenario that you are referring to happens only in Hollywood movies. Internet is not that easy that you close it, and it shall just shut off. And if it would become world payment then I am sure an offline method will be there to. However worst case scenario this happens, there are always contingencies planned for this. So you should not really be worried of this, as this in all sense is a fantasy.

The Big Three: How China, India, Japan Set Pace For Bitcoin
Recent behavior of Bitcoin reveals that developmental events around certain nations make huge impacts on the cryptocurrency.

THIS IS THE LINK
https://cointelegraph.com/news/the-big-three-how-china-india-japan-set-pace-for-bitcoin

While we all knew that China was playing an important role in Bitcoin prices, it was last year event that took the every one by surprised. It was when India's prime minister announced roll back of 500 and 1000 notes, the Bitcoins price spiked through the roof. Which settled in a while and China banned exchanges which again set the Bitcoin prices up and now Japan passing the bill has changed the face of Bitcoins forever. While it's true that Asian countries have been instrumental let's not forget that Russia will be making a bill to next year and I feel now western countries like ours shall make effect to Bitcoins.
