Deleted the whole CGB directory and started again. Same error. "errors" : "WARNING: Checkpoint is too old. Wait for block chain to download, or notify developers." I support and like CGB but I would expect more than a shrug of the shoulders from the CGB team regarding this issue.

Using "version" : "v1.1.6.4-gdf9d55a-cgb' Showing current block: "blocks" : 201855, getting the following warning: "errors" : "WARNING: Checkpoint is too old. Wait for block chain to download, or notify developers." Was going to add CGB to https://www.coinwallet.co however I would like to confirm this error is not an issue first. Thank you. You probably just need to download the blockchain from start. If you go to the debug console and type the command getcheckpoint, the output needs to be: { "synccheckpoint" : "000000001da3185b0b68ac3499084fd96e95487f62700f5ffd040bd8b4d58398", "height" : 183993, "timestamp" : "2013-11-02 20:45:11 UTC" } If not, then close your client and go to your data folder and delete the blk0001.dat, blkindex.dat, and peers.dat files. Don't touch your wallet.dat file. Then restart your client. Your client should start to download the blockchain from start. And don't be alarmed if your balance is incorrect. It will be okay once the blockchain is downloaded completely. Let me know how it goes. And thanks for the support. It was a fresh install from source last night. I get this from getcheckpoint: { "synccheckpoint" : "000002655a721555160ea9bcb1072faf63ff0c8dffed173d60b1d3556a134dc1", "height" : 0, "timestamp" : "2013-06-27 16:52:05 UTC" } I can delete the blockchain and peers file but shouldn't a fresh install from last night have received the correct data anyway? It's a timing thing as the client is downloading the block chain. Sometimes the checkpoint data is skipped over for whatever reason. Seems to be a Win7 thing, but I'm not sure. Hmm, using Debian 7 64 bit server not Win7 I've honestly never seen it on a fresh install, come to think of it. But I'll definitely research it. Perhaps happening on a Deb 7 64 bit is a hint... Deleted the whole CGB directory and started again. Same error. "errors" : "WARNING: Checkpoint is too old. Wait for block chain to download, or notify developers."

Hi All - I am happy to announce that Digitalcoin has been added to our online wallet service. https://www.coinwallet.coDGC fees are 0.05 DGC per outgoing transaction (Not free unfortunately but neither are good dedicated servers ) Comments welcome. unable to connect The server at www.coinwallet.co is taking too long to respond. We experienced a DDOS attack just 24 hours after launch. We are now back online behind a DDOS protection service. Apologies for the downtime.

Is there a Litecoin Web Based or Light Client similar to blockchain.info or Electrum/Armory so that Litecoin can be used without downloading whole blockchain?

How do we know this site won't be 'hacked' eventually? We don't! We can only do our best to make sure there are no security holes and the website software is up to date. Nothing / no website is 100% un-hackable - a determined and intelligent hacker will always find a way in. The website will be back online soon. I am just waiting for our new DDOS protection to be configured then the site will be live again.

Don't you think you should have paid for cloudflare if you are going to be hosting an online freaking wallet?
Point taken - Didn't think it would get DDOS attacked on day one though. If there's one thing I have learned since joining this madness, is to always use cloudflare or other DDOS mitigation when setting up a related website. I appreciate the tip however $200 per month for DDOS protection for what is essentially a free service is a bit of a killer.. And from what I read around the place Cloudflare will certainly help but is not really a total solution for stopping DDOS attacks, if the attacks persist they just shut you down or tell you to go to the next subscription level $3000 / month

It appears the CoinWallet.co server is down from a DDOS attack. Message from host: "Your server has been the target of an attack from the Internet. As a result this has placed a considerable strain on network resources and consequently a segment of our network has been very adversely affected. Your server has therefore been deactivated as a precautionary measure." DDOS kiddies Working to get the issue resolved asap.

There are no good trustworthy online LTC wallets yet . stick with paper wallets for long term storage and litecoin wallet on ur pc for daily transactions.
You are entitled to your opinion and like I said I understand peoples concern with using online wallets. But I assure you we are not out to scam anyone.

are you another TradeFortress?? No!! But I do understand your concern. I recommend using our online wallet only for small amounts. Would never recommend using the online wallet as your only wallet or for large amounts. Handy if you are out and about and need to make a payment but don't have your main wallet on hand.
