Why is this kind of FUD thread and specially the title considered appropriate?

What are you worried about: exchanges or buying power?
If someone is able to buy your 50 coins, then the exchange already has quarter of a million from "someone". So what would be the problem for sending the money back to you? Are you concrned about banking problems or what?

Why? Gox was "dying" for almost one year. Why it needs to be over with chinese exchanges in one month when everyone expect it?
|

I think these markets are close to dying in China. The volume is now anemic. It's drying up.
New fiat can't get in, so we can't rally. And there is not a lot of motivation to sell as people watch and wait.
But how can this not end badly? The exchanges have little to no way to make money now. So, the only "news" coming down the pipeline can be bad news. And when that hits, people will have a reason to sell.
It looks like we might be flat and then - boom - large capitulation event.
Could be days, weeks or months away though.
Same story was with gox when we were hovering around $100. Lots of people expected boom, but noone knew the boom would come after $1200. |

Isn't it strange that there is no serious walls (500BTC+) for quite a long time (weeks) on the bid side. Neither on the ask side. Talking about stamp.

This might be a more insightful description. There were no serious talks. This is the same as saying that nobody was taking these posters seriously. I'm sure some of the posters themselves were serious in their belief that $1000 was coming, but there wasn't anyone else willing to enter a discussion with those types. Could be true, yes. This kind of discoussion would be wishful for majority. There were much more talks about final $50 capitulation somewhere around Jan-Feb 2014 (then rally). |

You mean into the Chinese exchanges? Is that a fact? Huobi has not modified their homepage or posted new notices for the last 12 days. The homepage still shows their prepaid cards (火币 点卡充值) as the only deposit method. Perhaps the cards themselves cannot be recharged, if they depended on 3rd party payment processors or bank deposits. I could not fiind Huobi's client blog, it would be interesting to see what is there. Will they gox their clients without prior warning? Over the weekend I poked abit into OKCoin's blog and their reddit thread. Their "recharge code" system based on (two) private brokers seemed to be working, not clear how effectively; but in the end OKCoin said that they would not post any more public announcements about that system in order to not perturb the market. Will they [ ditto ]? Stamp. |
