901  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: TA or FA which is a better choice for market speculation. on: June 03, 2022, 10:26:57 PM
As traders in cryptocurrency trading what kind of framework of analysis do you prefer best to be taken (as an approach) into consideration when it comes to speculating the future of the market (when to buy and sell), be it on a long term or short term?

Is it with: TECHNICAL ANALYSIS
       or

 FUNDAMENTAL ANALYSIS.

I'll like to throw some light about the above mentioned analysis for the benefit of those that have a floating or no knowledge about both. So as to accommodate a wide range of opinions.

Now, simply put, Technical Analysts believe that "past price movement can dictate future price movement". Technical Analysts don't try to find out the intrinsic value of an asset, rather, they look at historical trading activity and try to identify opportunities based on that.

On the other hand, Fundamental Analysis is a framework that aims to identify the "true value" of an asset. Analysts here study the economic and financial factors to figure out if the market valuation of an asset is fair, etc.
SOURCE: bit.ly/AcademyEBook2
                           bit.ly/AcademyEBook1

From the above explanation which could you as a trader possibly go with and why?

Let's discuss.
I think identifying the true value of an asset in Cryptos is pretty difficult not only because generally in stock markets intrinsic value or true value of any asset in stock market is derived using the cash flows which is not the case with crypto markets because no cash flows are really involved here. So I feel best is to try with technical analysis only. I think fundamental analysis is entirely different in Cryptos you study the whitepaper and take knowledge about the project and see how viable it is. But in this you can be successful only if you are into technology.
902  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Paid the birth fee using bitcoin at the clinic, by accident. on: June 03, 2022, 09:54:51 PM
This really is insane can't even imagine doing this in my country Cheesy . I think you must name your child with something related to crypto he is actually in this world thanks to crypto Cheesy but yes he must have been a very enthusiastic investor or bitcoin maniac having accept his payment for the delivery in Bitcoins. I think this might advocate other doctors and hospitals to start accepting payment in bitcoin as well.
903  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Future trading without leverage on: June 03, 2022, 09:48:52 PM
Presently I have preferred to just trade without leverage, using leverage means you can use your trading asset to serve as collateral to borrow more funds for trading, but what if you open a position with 1x leverage?

I have preferred to use 1x leverage because if I open a long position with 1x, the liquidation price is just infinity, unless the trading site wanted to delist the coin among the coin that you can use for future trading.

It is clear that if I use 2x leverage or higher, money is borrowed, used for trading, there will be a percentage that I will pay per hour according to the terms and conditions. Using higher leverage is discouraging because of liquidation and if someone want to open a position for long, like 3 months or more.

What about 1x, I think no collateral involved at all? Which means nothing to be paid than trading fee?
Future traders generally don't keep positions open for more than a period of 3 months because generally the contracts expire in 3 months so at Max you will see them trading just for a few days or weeks only. And the reason why people prefer leverage is because it obviously increases your capital and the rate of return at the same time and experienced traders generally practice a healthy stop loss as well so liquidation isn't really a major issue for them.
904  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Central bank and it ignorance on Bitcoin on: June 03, 2022, 09:45:40 PM
Bitcoin as a digital decentralized currency have been widely criticized by many banks and other financial monolithic characters who have been on for front of global financial system, the latest being the call of central banks governors to the EU for the total ban of bitcoin mining and trading ,this also came a week after the Rusia central bank governor advised the President against cryptocurrency adoption.
This have proven to a large extent the political undertone as regards to the central banks position on compartitors such as bitcoin having the capacity to transform the economy of a nation, state or region as a whole, what are the possibilities of central banks governors winning the war against the decentralized finances or will the central banks looses it relevancy when Bitcoin finally become a global currency.
That's true central banks treat bitcoin as their competiton only so it's for sure they will never advocate it they will always continue to ignore it. I don't know if such a war would take place or not but if it's a diplomacy fight with world leaders involved they will always favour the fiat world and will never favour the decentralised finance so I am sure bitcoin will never become a global currency in this manner only adoption is a way it can become a global currency.
905  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How was last crypto bear market on: June 03, 2022, 08:18:10 PM
It was very bad. As far as I can remember all the coins went really bearish almost everything was just down to rock bottom it was only when bitcoin started to rise above 15-20k was when alts started to rise and people started making money. It always happens like this people make 20-30x when market becomes bullish and those same people lose 20-30x when market becomes bearish as well so this is a two way street and most of the weak hands leave the market in such times
906  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ODI cricket and general cricketing discussion [self - mod] on: June 02, 2022, 08:04:12 PM

Cricket is a game of talent and skills when you implement quota you destroy the basic requirement of the game. I do not think quota should be imposed in sports as such. If you want to provide quota then give financial and coaching assistance to those new talents that are economically backward. You can implement quota at that level but not for selection.
That is correct - most of the time the real players luckly make their way to the national team. They are those on which the luck shines bright.
But we cannot ignore that fact that nepotism and favouritism do not exist it exist everywhere - in every industry and in every domain.
Actually this is true many people say that boards are corrupt but it's a normal human mentality whenever I will be the one in power I'll do things that favours me even if i do them subconsciously and obviously you have to be good at politics and negotiation as well to get your place into the national team, being in good books of the captain and the selectors obviously helps a lot in the initially stages, you would always see a captain while selecting the national team favours those who play with the captain in domestic cricket as well.
907  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Trading Platform? on: June 02, 2022, 07:55:58 PM
Hi guys, I am new into Crypto, I wanna know which platform has low gas fee .. my budget is very low which is just 120$ .. I do not want to throw them into trash, but I like to embark on any platform which gives good returns, like Exness or Position exchange. I was reading an article on https://detailsnreviews.com/crypto-exchange-okcoin-launches-a-free-trading-nft-marketplace/ , do you think it is good to start with 120$?
What do you want to actually do with the money? Do you want to buy coins and keep them invested or do you want to buy NFTs and keep them with you or just want to buy bitcoin and hold it. Platform would depend on that only, if you are into NFT which I think you are probably looking for then go with Sol NFTs or Near NFTs they have comparably lower gas fees and can give good profits you can use solanart for Sol NFTs they have low fees so you would not burn a lot of cash.
908  Economy / Economics / Re: Stable coin can solve poverty on: June 02, 2022, 06:40:16 PM
Plan to solve
Create usd or other stablecoin like eur or why not gbp...
And make big airdrop.
So everybody will get nice ammount Smiley
And exchangers will pay apy like 40-50% to hold

Its instant plan to remove poverty you print money
Hahah what sort of joke is this? Who will fund the money into these stablecoins? Stablecoins work on two concept either on real fiat backing like USDT where the team holds dollars in reality or in algo based coins like UST where too team used to hold the underlying asset which is LUNA in both the cases team needs money to buy the underlying asset which comes from person buying that stablecoin if you just airdrop it to all how will this capital come in? How will the stablecoin derive it's value? It would just be fiat with zero value as it's not even nation backed.
909  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: 4.45 million bitcoin untouched for 5yrs,do BTC community can retrieve in future? on: June 02, 2022, 06:36:06 PM
My questions is that ' is there any possibility that some point in time in future BTC community might decide something which can retrieve this lost BTCs?
It's not possible at all, first of all how do you form a consensus that this money is actually all lost? There is a high possibility that this might not be lost, it's just that owner must have kept it safely and securely person saying he has the key and lost it might be lying even if you realise that it's true you'll have to cheat the system protocol in order to get this money which not only sound unethical but foolish at the same time, so I don't think such a thing would happen.

911  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 🔥 BTC365.com 🔥 IPL Prediction Pool 2022 & Discussion(Participants Only) on: May 29, 2022, 09:08:23 PM
Congratulations GT! This was easily one of the most boring finales that I have ever watched in IPL history. Bet on Rajasthan and was cheering for Gujarat to finish the match as early as possible since 130 was way too low.

RR surprisingly dragged the match till the 18th over. GT had a ton of luck on their side too(Gill getting 2 lives etc).

However, I was surprised to see you back RR as well.
Had to back RR since both you and Rapter were in front of me and I didn't really have a choice. RR messed up royally due to which one of you will obviously take the 3rd spot.
Seriously yes this was the worst IPL final i thought this would be very narrow and entertaining but Rajasthan choked like anything and GT who topped the table and topped every sphere proved that they deserved this trophy. A big thanks to Royse and JSraw for organizing the pool, hope to see another pool with upcoming world T20, congratulations to swordsrex and Akhjob for finishing 2nd and 3rd tough competition this time from everyone.
912  Economy / Economics / Re: Enticing customers to make payment with crypto. on: May 29, 2022, 08:59:46 PM
Is this a possible way to entice customers who do not like to pay with crypto, Will offering discounts for goods when a customer pays with crypto or free gifts encourage and entice more customers to use their crypto for payment of goods? If I offer discounts which will encourage more of my customers to get crypto, how can I possibly sustain it for long to ensure that i don't run at a loss?

Yes ofcourse but question is these will be done only if you actually gain from people paying in crypto, currently the incentive that will be given to customer will not entice additional revenues or profits for the company which means all the incentives are just free social service and that ofcourse no business likes to do. Therefore it's impossible that such a thing would happen in any scenario unless you create incentive for business if they accept payments in crypto.
913  Economy / Economics / Re: Germany affirmed crypto sold after one year is tax free. on: May 29, 2022, 07:49:23 PM
https://blockworks.co/germany-affirms-crypto-sold-after-one-year-is-tax-free/
https://cryptopotato.com/germany-no-taxes-for-selling-btc-and-eth-if-held-for-over-a-year/

From a completely objective point of view this seems good news as long as investors will have less time to enjoy the tax free for, a period of ten years seems somewhat impossible, but the issue can be approached from other perspectives :

- How will the state be able to track users’ activity, especially with regard to their long-term investments in the crypto field? I find that this is not possible unless the investors rely on a third party for storage, which poses many complications, especially since those users can easily store their investments in private wallets that the government cannot know anything about.
- It can be read that the German state encourages investment in crypto in the long term, but ordinary users (who do not want to store in the long term) still suffer from the taxes imposed on them. I don't know if there were reliable stats.
I think the strategy is actually good for two reasons, one this will stop all the illegitimate or grey market trading of Cryptos as people would be incentivised to buy on exchange or institutional exchanges so that they get this tax incentive, similarly if you see from one perspective people will now be able to report crypto related crimes as the government is recognising it as an asset, crimes can also be caught and therefore criminals can be punished as well, but yes data collection of users is one disadvantage but honestly I am ready to bear with it as long as you are having these advantages.
914  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: The Legendary Forumla of Dip = Opportunity on: May 29, 2022, 07:44:28 PM
All of this is merely a strategy of the strong hands and institutional investors to get money from weak hands into big players. They will buy every news channel every Twitter page to spread havoc and FUD in bearish times as if market is going to end tomorrow but then magically you will see market retracing back and touching all time highs when the strong hands have accumulated enough of bitcoins. The exactly inverse happens at the top so the best strategy obviously is to buy and keep on doing DCA in bearish times.
915  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: should I be concerned about the history of bitcoins when buying them ? on: May 29, 2022, 07:40:29 PM
If I purchase bitcoins via p2p, can I get some problems if the bitcoins I get were involved in some criminal activity ? If yes then how do I avoid such situation ?
Technically yes you should be worried about this reason being whenever some sort of scam or something happens the department would generally establish the whole trail of activity associated with those bitcoins, but if you have proper evidence as to from whom did you purchase it and what consideration did you pay in return for that I don't think there is any reason to worry about it. Many of the coins you receive From exchanges or gambling sites are tainted.
916  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Will Russia Emerge As The Next Dominant Superpower on: May 28, 2022, 10:40:00 PM
Too soon to say this, I think this act of Russia will obviously shake and challenge the overall dominance of the US as a superpower for once but will it immediately make Russia the new superpower is too quick to say this. I believe this might start a new cold war just in the same way as it did back after world war 2 the concept won't be capitalism or socialism this time but the opponents might be the same, US and NATO on one side while Russia, China on the other side. Then this war might go on for pretty long in a undercover manner.
917  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 🔥 BTC365.com 🔥 IPL Prediction Pool 2022 & Discussion(Participants Only) on: May 28, 2022, 10:10:28 PM
Finally after today I can comfortably say that I have won it : D i hope there is no threat left now for my first position because next match is worth 4 points in total 3 match points and just 1 margin point so even if swordsrex gets all the 4 points he can't beat me for sure. Or is there any other bonus point available too?
You deserve first position since majority of your predictions were spot-on throughout the tournament. After overtaking me sometime in the 2nd half, you just kept drifting away.

next 3 participants are competing for 3rd position.
Yup. That includes me who is on a royal losing streak currently. Myself and Rapter ended up in 1st and 2nd position in the last prediction pool and are now competing for the 3rd position in this particular prediction pool. Exciting stuff.
Thanks bro and rest of the folks as well. I think a few rounds were pretty bad for me and a few turned out to be too good, but thanks to the playoffs it got me a good lead as well. All the very best to both of you guys. Another exciting thing would be the winner that we will get tomorrow of IPL, i am supporting GT tomorrow for sure. There is only one person Buttler who can change the fate of tomorrow's match and that is Buttler no one else can do that.
918  Economy / Economics / Re: Is crypto the final stage in the evolution of money? on: May 28, 2022, 09:34:20 PM
I don't know if perhaps i'm overthinking this, but considering the evolution of money from the beginning of time where different things have served as a medium of exchange and now currently banknotes.

On same trend, we are slowly witnessing the evolution of  money to crypto and i can't help but wonder if crypto is the final stage or there may perhaps be another revolutionary idea to replace crypto as money after crypto has been accepted.

What do you think?
No not at all, this is not at all possible, see evolution Means evolving and ever evolving. There can never be a stop to evolution as we will progress further there definitely be something which would be more advanced and more efficient than Cryptos too. If you feel there can be an end to humans evolving this is a really big mistake. But yes to be honest it'll be interesting to see how humans evolve further. Because we have already reached a very advanced stage.
919  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: If Bitcoin drops to $8k on: May 28, 2022, 05:44:55 PM
Lets assume Guggenheim's Minerd speculation on bitcoin having an ultimate bottom of $8k if it hits $30k referencing the "[U.S. Federal Reserve] being restrictive.”, Currently bitcoin price is below $28k and from the look of things this speculation might and might not be accurate but what if bitcoin price falls to this very dip.

I am asking what will you sell to buy more bitcoin if this speculation ever happens or will you choose to  sell off all your bitcoin due to FUD.
If bitcoin really drops to 8k nothing will happen it will only give those rich lads and institutional investors to accumulate more of it at a much cheaper price because the weak hands will sell it off as if the market is going to die just how they did it at 3k before bitcoin reached 69k. Rest of the things are going to remain exactly the same there would be another halving and there would be another bill run.
920  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Elon Musk won't save Doge or Bitcoin this time on: May 28, 2022, 05:41:09 PM
We are back to the 90s, the Fed raised the rates by 0.50% - nothing is going to stop the trend of further rate hikes - which in turn will keep on taking the air out of the balloon so called Crypto.

I don't see a single evidence where it shows that Elon Musk saved doge, he was just involved in some sort of pumping schemes where he was buying doge putting up tweets and pumping it, Elon never saved it. Also talking about fed, how will rate hikes get money out of crypto? You think a person would stop investing in crypto because he is now getting 5.5% instead of 5% from his term deposit.
