Anybody have low hash rate reported from pool website? My total rig is 12.56 mh/s but my pool only reported 10.25 mh/s
It's called variance.
902  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][X11] X11 (Darkcoin etc) miner (based on sph-sgminer) on: May 27, 2014, 01:33:46 PM

EDIT: went back to girino's... I found that I get way more WU with his. Sorry guys, but willing to try anything and support! But what can I say... with girino, pool report 15mh/s, with this one around 10mh/s - either I'm doing something wrong, or I dont know...

Frequent hops between pools (==girino miner) -> less Diff
Less Diff -> more WU (and vise versa)

Long stay on one pool (==current version) -> more Diff
More Diff -> less WU.

He said he blocked the pool so there isn't a way for it to connect. I am digging through girino's miner but at this point it's just a needle in a haystack search.
903  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][X11] X11 (Darkcoin etc) miner (based on sph-sgminer) on: May 27, 2014, 12:51:32 PM
I'm sorry all, I did NOT go through the thread, just sharing my info and taking if from here. I'm waaay to busy to go through all this, but will be attempt from here on.

I did NOTHING in terms of argument change, and this miner vs girino was INFERIOR in hashrate.

but... fuck girino plus his GNU-obscene 2% fee.

Then I looked over my settings, thinking hmmm... optimized..? went from -g 1  to -g2 ... and despite the odd driver crash, everything is spot on, a slight increase in hashrate, same or even lower temps!

Second... 5x BIOS Undervolted 280x Vapor-X (think, bought it cheap off ebay). Getting 3mh/s per card. With this miner, I have a lower WU by about 80 !!!

This was my (extensively experimented) regular darkcoin kernel settings (radically different to scrypt) - also used for girino

Quote
-k x11mod -o stratum+tcp://mining.darkcointalk.org:3333 -u bananaman.1 -p x --auto-fan --gpu-fan 25-85 --temp-cutoff 92 --temp-overheat 88 --temp-target 64 -I 19 -g 1 -w 256 --lookup-gap 2 --thread-concurrency 8192 --gpu-powertune 20 --gpu-engine 1100 --gpu-memclock 1500

With this one, these settings get me barely same hashrate, slightly lower... about 700kh/s lower in total. Nothing to cry over. If I do -g 2, I have to drastically lower intensity. 19, 18 17, 16 ----crashes driver

15 is the sweet spot indeed. I have not checked for consumption and heat in the long term, but by heat signature it seems to be a little worse than girino's 2% miner (which is easily overridden)

Also, pool reports much lower rate than girino's by quite a few (2-4 mh/s). More HW error with this one as well, and its crashing frequently.
So I ask the real pro's to check my settings and suggest some tweaks, if you please! I really do think it my settings!

I know these are ONLY preliminary findings, and need time to stabilise.

Thanks in advance!
Each GPU is different, those settings are for a particular card and those clocks might be lower, higher or even unstable.
904  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: what now for GPU miners? x11 i think just got screwed. on: May 27, 2014, 11:42:43 AM
Man you guy's must enjoy the chase, I have seen gpu miners get ripped time and time again, it is starting to look like there will be no algo that cannot have a chip or system made that is optimized to mine it.

That is because there can't be.
905  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: what now for GPU miners? x11 i think just got screwed. on: May 27, 2014, 11:37:37 AM
i think secret asic for x11 are mining because of darkcoin that was very profitable, they will make some profit before announcing and selling them

sry but i can't believe there is a 1 TH of gpu farm out there, must be an asic or fpga

anyway good alternative:

jackpot algo for nvidia

x13 for amd, curecoin folding for amd is also a good option, but i don't like how it stress too much the cpu
There is an x13 GPU miner, I also applied x13 to the x11mod and while I can't compare speeds of the regular kernel(seems to be broken) I am hashing at 750kh/s on a 5850 at intensity 15 715/995mhz.
906  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][X11] X11 (Darkcoin etc) miner (based on sph-sgminer) on: May 27, 2014, 11:12:50 AM
For Marucoin, after porting the x11 kernel to x13, I get ~750kh/s with my 5850 at 715/995. But the ordinary marucoin kernel fails to compile oddly enough.

Can you make a Windows build with your x13mod kernel so I can test results on R9 290X and share configs please.

btw 2-min SICK build is pretty stout, I think this miner has an issue with the way Nicehash drops their stratum work when switching coins.  I don't use Nicehash but a lot of renters complain about that.

Hook it up with the X13 kernel mod!

Are you saying we're getting faster performance because the CL file isn't object-oriented, and instead, smashed into one straight file?  No other mods or hardcodes to darkcoin kernel?

OpenCL is not object oriented, not to my knowledge at least. The reason it was smashed into one file was so girino could embed it into his miner. Still tweaking the x13 kernel.

There's this thing called Arachnophobia, I myself suffer from it.

All the skeptics will now want to stomp every spider they see, when they view this video https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aNHK565cVe8

I have to say the Devs + friends of Darkcoin are true geniuses...They have been mining this version of SGminer since day one with their farms, while they initial released it as "only" a CPU coin, then released a GPU friendly version that mined at half the hash rate to gain even more adoption and drive the price up, and finally release the version they all have been mining on after the hard fork (even if this is the version the Devs are running on...they probably still have an even more optimized version).

My hats off to you guys Wink
I can't say anything about user girino who originally optimized the X11 OpenCL kernel or evan, but for me and lasybear this is simply not true. Not to mention I only got into Darkcoin because of user girino and his forced 2% donation.

On my tablet right now, Chrome on Android and experienced two logouts, logged back in and changed my pass, but I am feeling paranoid. Reasons why this happened?

I>15 = pay 2% fee and I=<15 not Huh
No, this was fixed in the latest version, -I can be 20 or more Cheesy

the last version is the one in the OP?
Elun's version ,yes.

the miner give me the " it stopped working" if i don't create a bat file before launching through shortcut

this error wasn't present in the first version, the one where you fixed that part of the code

also marucoin is removed from this build
Speaking of marucoin I've ported x11 to x13 which should mean speed improvements.

Do any of these builds have the fixes for nicehash incorporated?
Not sure. What are these fixes for?

Try using Elun's version for fixed difficulty and other bugfixes.

ok I do that , but , this miner not mine on 2 pool same time . ^^'

That was the point of that miner. To remove the 2% pool.

Hey 5th, I know you posted a paste of the x11mod kernel before, but can you combine x11 mod with what you see different between marucoin.cl (http://pastebin.com/X97XdwU3) X13 algo and the standard darkcoin.cl?

The x11mod kernel is some 8000 lines of code the x13 kernel much much shorter, but less efficient.  I wanted to see if we could optimize 11 of the 13 algorithms for upcoming use.  X13 is basically X11 hamsi+fugue i think.  So can we just smash the hamsi+fugue portion to bottom of the 8000 lines or what.
The x11mod kernel is huge, because it uses ALL .cl files in one file, that is why it's huge. Usually it's split and uses #include macros to include the rest of the .cl dependencies, but the 2% miner guy decided to merge it. However, you are correct in the assumption that the speed improvement might work for X13 too. But I will need some good pool to test.

Windows binaries will come soon of the latest git. Just have some work to take care of.

Alright, now on the the other aesthetical problems such as wrong best share and wrong difficulty being displayed. In the meantime, here is my DRK addy XrVcX5LEiUVxWRTBMbomopJkfHc3uGDQHe Tongue
But I will wait for lasybear to push his changes to main.

Tip sent, you should add your addy to your signature, or it might get lost in this thread Smiley

Received, thanks!
Also received Smiley. Thanks.
