again, lots of suggestions, but what we actually are doing is indexing news outlets to contact and inform about UTC....then ask them to write an article about UTC
so lets focus the efforts on this, and this alone for now, we dont need 50 suggestions but no action.lets do 1 thing at a time, first more media exposure (expand cummunity) then more spending places

UTC needs to be used as payment for goods/services, not just fiat exchange. Only then will it serve as a coin that is worthwhile. Give the coin purpose, it's proper destiny. Who's willing to open a online store, or use an existing store, that's accepting UTC? Is there a shop like this already? If not, it would set UTC apart from the rest of the coins, and store owners could limit volatility by selling the UTC the minute they get it, if they choose to.

From a miner's perspective, in real time calculations:
For me currently:
100 utc/day at .00014000 = .014btc x $570 = $7.98 - $3.96 electric (750 watts) = $4.02/day x 30 day = $120.60/month x .70 (30% taxes) = $84 per month in my pocket. I net $239/month and get to keep $84. 50% cost in electric is where I draw my line to start looking for new possibilties. 55% electric cost, I'm done mining the coin, unless I can foresee a near-term price jump.
Yes, my electric is high. $0.22 usd. Tax rate might be high too, but I figure state and federal into this and tax rate is also based on a future 10 rig setup.
Still profitable, and will be for most people after my 55% limit is reached. Some people with free electric or cheaper than my .22 will still mine, but UTC is getting into territory that expensive electric miners will no longer mine. Please understand this post is meant to be educational from a real world experience, not a threat to leave or promise of any future action.

I've been on here everyday reading what's going on etc etc & I have noticed a lot of "we should do . . . . " but there is no "I have done" or "I'm planning on doing this". Seems nobody is willing to do much themselves & expecting others (like bum face) to do all the hard work. & before you ask I have set up the @ultracoinnews twitter account & managed to get over 500 followers in 3 weeks.
It's not what Ultracoin can do for you, but what YOU can do for Ultracoin!

Here's a question that I can't answer. How as a community can we proactively increase awareness of Ultracoin to get people wanting to visit exchanges and trade BTC for UTC?We don't need Bumface or Ziggy to lead, surely we in the community can come up with ideas. How did DOGE, LTC, Peercoin etc. first get on the radar? Do we have any stakeholders or crypto-coin veterans on the thread that can remeber and advise? Ultracoin does have a USP because it is only a handful of ASIC resistent coins, how can we market this, get the word out so it is seen as the alternative coin to LTC? Here's some thoughts: - Twitter campaign to get Ultracoin noticed in the crypto community, how many of us have Twitter accounts? Let follow each other and start tweeting
- Article on Coindesk and other similar crypto newsdesks
- Get a mention on Lets Talk Bitcoin or other Podcasts / Radio stations
- Put together a t-shirt design for Ultracoin on http://www.51attack.com/ highlighting resistance to ASIC and get them to accept Ultracoin

as i have stated earlyer, if many people start to sound like desperate children, this only reinforces the thing they are "observing". stay positive,we dont need a sucking abyss of negativity here,this is not helping UTC, its damaging it,a.k.a the self fulfilling prophecy thats why i delete posts who just spew negative energy without any real content. things like "its over for ever!!!" add nothing.If you think every thing should be done for you without contributing anything, you should consider aplying for princess. if 50 people stand around a lamborghini saying it sux, you can make people believe it sux.this is a simpel mechanism of group psychology, thats why we need to stay positive and wait for gox to go bancrupt oficcially, so all cryptos can go in a general uptrend again |

I'm not judging, re-read my post, I'm just saying you have economic certainty vs desperate people who maybe mined for a month/bought lots, who got nothing, and therefore understandably worried and susceptible at the moment. So, it's up to you to do something about it or not. I'm not gonna repeat the same things we suggested yet again, there's tons of posts about it already. Cheers. i dont even know if i have enough btc to fulfill my alpha orders since btc went to shit after i had orderd,so i would not call that economic certainty....i also put 3,7 btc in utc when it was 0.0007, so thats also locked up now, so we are really in the same boat here. |

It's easy for bumface to be confident because he already made some money, which he already re-invested in unrelated activities, not so much for us peons who gotta pay bills.
the reason i invested in scrypt asics, is to have money monthly to develop services for UTC, so that is absolutely related.i could have bought a new pc,or a 4k screen or go on a vacation ( my last vacation was 9 years ago). i also bought a bed for 300 euro, because i was sleeping on the floor for 8 years...... Ok, I know that, but they're not direct Investments, and they would be profitable for you either way UTC goes, that was the point I was making. Instead many of the people who're worried, as you can read in some comments, don't have any certainty and didn't make any money YET, so it's normal for them to want the coin to do well and freak out when price drops. what is better? I need help, some very important questions!
UTC will be more hard to mine, hash will be 2x times lower.
Does it mean lower power consumption ?
Less heating?
Or it will be same as always for UTC?
Where can i find UTC mining power consumption VS "common" scrypt(like LTC)
