Panic !!! XMR Broken!!!

Can this attack/problem happen to BBR as well??

We don't know it is still being diagnosed. If we find anything that applies to other coins, we will pass it on to them. Even the ones we hate (which does not include BBR).

What happened yallz?

links anyone?

Not quite sure what that means but I'm glad I got out of this thing at 0048 and into XDN...

The gold bugs are slowly waking up...

"There is an end to the manipulation here,  that is when these people have to buy into the Crypto at the low end,  competing with everyone else at the same time."

907  Bitcoin / Development & Technical Discussion / Re: Running a full node is starting to be a pain on: September 02, 2014, 04:41:42 AM
Man I'd love to see a new specialized computer product which sole purpose is to run a BTC node.

Trezor has hardware for wallets, mining companies have hardware to mine, there are hardware units to make paper wallets...

why not a piece of hardware designed specifically to run a full node?
908  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: September 02, 2014, 01:47:19 AM
The sentiment right now seems different than the last time we were on "the edge of a cliff"

1. Most people dont seem to be nervous of a dip (last time i definitely was)

2. I've heard a few large players say they wont be selling, and neither will I (those same players and myself were selling last time)

3. Everyone is expecting a drop now and most dont care if it happens

909  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [XDN] duckNote [ANN]. CryptoNote based. Anonymous and CPU only. on: September 01, 2014, 11:31:56 PM
Why duckNote is better than XMR ?

PS: I am CryptoNote based noob.

I dont think duckNote is necessarily better than Monero, but they both compliment each other very well.

I hold both, although I think Monero has a better chance for real-world use (but XDN could do well as a tipping platform similar to DOGE)

FYI: my duckNote wallet still isn't downloading the chain on remote or on local mode.
910  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [XDN] duckNote [ANN]. CryptoNote based. Anonymous and CPU only. on: September 01, 2014, 09:30:24 PM
I just downloaded the wallet (good job by the way)

It seems that I'm stuck at block #122 for about an hour, anyone have similar issues?
nope

This is what I'm seeing (I'm on a mac)

I've deleted the wallet and reinstalled it (losing private keys with coins on them in the process  Undecided)

What is your MAC version? Do you use latest 0.91 beta?
Always backup .wallet or .keys file.

Try
Code:
Connections->Disconnect; Connections->Connect to remote duckNoted

Also you can try "heavy" mode. Download your own duckNoted. launch it, wait for blockchain sync. Launch wallet and connect to local duckNoted via Connections menu.

Ok so I have disconnected and connected again to local duckNoted but it's been taking quite a while..

It sounds like there's a "lite" version and a "heavy" version.. would that be local connection and remote connection?

1. Connect to remote duckNoted - it is a default "light" version. In that case you have connection to remote duckNoted. No local blockchain storage.
2. Connect to local duckNoted - it is a "heavy" version. In that case you should have duckNoted launched with default configuration and synchronized with blockchain (blockchain stored on your local PC).  Than you can connect your duckNoteWallet to local duckNoted.

That issue with 122 block stacking is reported by 2 MAC users, we are exploring problem.

Ok, so I should be able to use the wallet on remote settings without downloading blockchain?

thanks for your help!

when you delete the wallet never delete the .keys file.
just delete the .wallet or .bin and resync.

I don't seem to have that option on mac...
even with *right click *show package contents

Not too concerned about the keys lost but the fact that the blockchain isn't syncing

The only reason i'm doing this is because poloniex doesnt allow funds to be sent to another exchange

XMR looks like it's due to retest 0.004....

Getting into XDN Ducknote in the meantime  Cool

Ding ding ding!

Now all we need is for XDN to rally this week

Fully prepared to see $400 this week, but it looks like we could be hitting support here at 470-ish

Either way i'm happy  Grin

apparently we cant send coins between exchanges?

whats the deal with that?  Huh

No payment id built into the exchange on the withdraw side.

...Are you not giving out prizes for Tweets to the exchanges now?

I was running a twitter campaign for XMR, although that's done now.

Who decided that tx between exchanges isnt valid? devs or the exchanges?

DUCKNOTE IS NOT FUNGIBLE IF IT CANT BE SENT BETWEEN EXCHANGES

SMH
