901  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: windows xp and opencl install problem gpu mining 270x on: March 22, 2014, 12:55:19 PM
is there any guide for gpu mining using windows xp?
i am having 270x cars, installed Catalyst Software Suite 13.12.
when i run cgminer i am getting error that i don'thave opencl.

how to solve this?

There is no solution. The AMD APP SDK versions which support GCN cards (Radeon HD 7xxx cards and later) aren't available for Windows XP, only for 7Garbage and The 8th Abomination. If I'm not mistaken, the last APP SDK version that supported XP was version 2.6, which won't work with GCN cards like your card. You'll need to either change your OS to something like Windows 7, or build another machine just for mining if you want to keep using XP (which you should do, it's still the best MS OS ever). I wanted to keep running XP 64 so that's what I did, I built a separate machine with Win 7 just for mining (I'd have used Linux if I had more experience with it though).

P.S.: screw AMD.

917  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: CoinMarket.io | New, self-moderated support and news thread. on: March 13, 2014, 02:28:39 AM
I'd suggest that this thread be moved to the Marketplace (Altcoins) forum. It would make more sense and the thread would draw more attention there, because the Announcements (Altcoins) forum is focused on coins, not services. The OP could do it without a moderator's help by clicking on the "Move topic" link at the bottom left of the page.

I only used CoinMarket.io once or twice, then stopped using them because the site kept going offline every other day. I think it's extremely important to find the motherfuckers behind this exchange and punish them (in any way possible). That would help make other scammer wannabes out there think twice before messing with the crypto community.

You DO realize that OP = coinmarket.io owner = possible scammer right?
He hasn't came online since 09 March.

Damn! I started reading from the end of the thread, never even looked at the first post!  Angry

We should start another topic then as soon as possible because this one is self moderated and he can delete all posts here and lock the thread.
