I tend to agree that it would be better for Waves to NOT trade on exchanges until it is has its official launch, not the IOU token release.

Give the community time and incentive to market our investment. Otherwise, you weaken community support and word of mouth marketing opportunity.

I think the launch should be delayed until everything is ready and the mainnet is ready for launch. We don't want to see another DAO.

Beta mainnet will launch as planned, of course everything needs to be properly tested after launch. After first checks we will enable investors to withdraw their tokens. Invited and allowed exchanges will need to perform their checks and set their nodes also after team is happy with network.

So how long after the ICO until we can withdraw our tokens?

Our goal is to release beta lite client with no blockchain download and enable investors to withdraw their tokens on June, 1. With bigger usage of the network additional tests and tweaks can be performed. We want to ensure smooth distribution of Waves tokens, including bounties distribution. So everyone will be able to withdraw their tokens without stress while additional tests are being performed and while exchanges can prepare for proper launch.

Thanks. The reason I ask is because i'm considering a large purchase on last day, but dont want to get LISKed. So we will probably be able to trade on June 1st then?

It will depend from developers and testing, tweaking network. After they give green light exchanges will be able to set their nodes, only allowed ones. I wouldn`t count on trading in first days as everything is real time work and requires time.

So are bounties paid the same time as distibution or on a later date?

We want to ensure that noone is left behind. Bounties will be able to be withdrawn during standard distribution while all people have their Waves addresses available.

Is there a media team pushing this? I'm not seeing nearly as much Waves coverage as I did with Lisk. Great job everyone.

good point...!!! you have already more money then you need ...!! where is your marketing ? what are you waiting for?? waves is the most successful ico after ethereum  , but still i can't find even one article ... Huh!!! i won't invest more... Sasha are you sure you learned from previous mistake's ??

Today I saw DAO in The New York Times. Can we do something like that for WAVES, too?

Sure, we will be in top media outlets near the platform launch. New York Times is not a problem or any top media outlet.

There are a lot of mentions already in top chinese press, standard press and bitcoin press.

I think Tai Zen didn`t include DAO as you can withdraw funds from it that you deposited earlier.

what do we need to send for the ico ?

i'm connected but it's only say : adress to pay without specify

Inside your account on the ICO site you see your personal BTC deposit address. You can send from your personal BTC wallet or from exchange. You can send many times also.

85 million tokens will be distributed in lCO procedure to participating users based on their contribution in the total amount of the raised funds.

Will WAVES be withdrawable and listed on an exchange immediately after ICO?

There is no exact time. First ICO needs to end. Next beta mainnet needs to launch, then first checks need to be performed, then you are waiting for tweets from exchanges that wallets are available.

so it all depends to the exchange sites that makes WAVES available to trade. For now what you guys need to do is follow those exchange sites.
You guys won't be listing on Yobit, would you?

We are not in contact with Yobit.

It is about WAVES official facebook.
913  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [PRE-ANN] WAVES. Ultimate crypto-tokens blockchain platform. on: May 28, 2016, 03:08:22 PM
are the bounties still available?

I followed on twitter, liked the facebook page(how do i join the FB group?) and added a waves signature~

Edit: guys question above mine answers my question, though how do I join the group?

Yes

"The token distribution to supporters will take place after the end of ICO, WAVES support team will be contacting all participants and arranging the bonus transfer."

As for social accounts, you will be confirming them on the ICO site.

As for signature campaign, you will need to send message from your Bct account with your Waves address.

i'm a bit confused, is this crowdfunding based on eth or btc?

the address i see in the ICO dashboard is btc right?

You can only deposit BTC, correct. It is your personal deposit address, you can send as many times as you want.

Waves team, besides the businesses mentioned in the thread thus far have any approached you to add waves to their business?  If so do you plan to make waves business backed? Are you receiving any opportunities from established businesses, if so can you say who? I'd like to see waves used in more than just finance sector maybe a game or casino too.

There is a lot of interest and a lot of meetings. No mentions until negotiations is over.
918  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [PRE-ANN] WAVES. Ultimate crypto-tokens blockchain platform. on: May 26, 2016, 08:20:23 PM

Are there any applications in Waves, where user can make some waves with?
Like the delegates in LISK?

Waves is different project.

Will POW be avilable when wave start or is it clear pos ?

Waves is inflation-less system, limited supply, total 100 Mil. POS at start, later there will be new implementation of LPOS.

What is this LPOS?

Congratulations on 10.000 btc!
Wonder how much would cost to run Waves master node and what is going to be the reword for it?

Anyone with balance above 0 will be able to get rewards from the network by having full node or leasing to them through lite clients. Shared rewards will depend from balances. So above Waves token being the fuel of whole platform with assets and all transactions happening there you will be able to get incentives from the network itself. No masternodes concept or min requirement for full nodes. One big network with incentives.
Thanks, that sounds good-completely decentralised  and accessible to all network partitipants  but still rewording    for bigger stacker so you could earn more for your bigger input into the network.Hope I am getting this rihgt.

Yes, at the same time transactions become much faster as full nodes process them effectively. So there will be competition between full nodes, but users with smaller balances and wishing for example to use only lite clients on any device with no blockchain download will be able to get part of the rewards from the full nodes also by leasing to them. Above new POS implementation there will be new scalability approach presented in tech paper also.
Thanks for clarification. For my non tech mind there should be a lot of room for inovation and flexibility in such approach.

I was contemplating today on this idea and looking for the answer to some questions.

1.   Can financial incentive be created to provide service where you can pay your bills with crypto ?
2.  Will there be a demand for such market ?
3.  Could it be fully implemented on Waves or any other similar kind platform (with tokens/coins and fiat integration)?

Would be interesting to know your thoughts.

I think we should be looking much further than just paying bills, there are some services already enabling you to pay bills with crypto.

Mycelium for example is after complete management/financial suite with blockchain technology working in background.

Waves fiat tokens will be integrated in Mycelium wallet so many nice options above Waves itself to come for sure. There can be some unique cashback programs built on blockchain also.

Many financial institutions can be integrated above payment providers if they only wish. Asset-asset trading and fiat assets backed directly by gateways bring many possibilities.

Honestly I've searched - maybe not hard enough?
Where can I find the price of the ICO tokens?

It will be changing all the time until ICO ends.

"85 million tokens will be distributed in lCO procedure to participating users based on their contribution in the total amount of the raised funds."
