How about some level of moderation for this thread?
Are you not concerned about these things? 1. K1773R is still blaming the transaction problem on cryptsy. There have been bugs found in the anoncoin code and cryptsy is compiling from source. Other exchanges and even desktop qt clients are having the same problem as cryptsy. So this can't be a cryptsy problem. I would really like if the devs would work on this problem seeing as a cryptocurrency with transaction problems is obviously really bad. What are the devs doing to fix this? We need anoncoin back on exchanges asap. 2. Meeh has been working on myriad auxPoW for the past month but recently asked what myriad auxPoW is. Since he can't develop something he doesn't know about what has he been doing? An update on the supposed "imminent" hardfork would be great. The sooner this hardfork happens the sooner anoncoin can fix the difficulty issue. 3. Anoncoin code is still based on bitcoin 0.8.6 which is almost a year old at this point. Why hasn't the anoncoin code been updated? Bitcoin is currently on 0.9.3 and there have 4 updates in between 0.8.6 and 0.9.3. Why has anoncoin missed all 4 updates? Gnosis recently posted that meeh was working on updating the code to 0.9.3 but that concerns me because meeh was also supposed to be working on myriad auxPoW but seems to not be doing too well with that either. 4. This conversation with ian miers of zerocash is also troubling. He doesn't seem to think our RSA UFO's are strong enough. https://twitter.com/secparam/status/449576116161089537Yes I am as well. I don't see what it has to do with moderation though; the point is not to remove concerns/feedback, just cut the crap!

I hope this is useful to someone and that I'm not wasting my time on this.
Hi B4zz4 - you're not wasting your time - I'm sure the majority of silent watchers like me really appreciates your help

troll picture
Finally you act like a real troll. Marica you're the first commenter I see in BCT calling one of the coin devs a troll - congrats!

PHS seems dead to me HBN killed it I guess we all have our own definition of what "dead" means.. anyways, I wish you as much success with HBN as we will have with PHS

We are considering to list PHS on EmpoEX in the near future. EmpoEX Team By all means! Nice platform; I will trade PHS on EmpoEX when it's available

gnosiscameeh420, thank you for warning the poor sheeps who get scammed in the crypto game. This is honorable. I've read you with interest but I don't understand what you want. Is it a new dev that you would like for ANC?

Thanks cryptonit; it's much clearer now!

Great, so if i've sent 1,000 NOBL to a wallet today Oct 23rd and the POS goes live on Nov 1st they will have the same weight as 1,000 NOBL that have been sitting in a wallet for the past 6 months, this is correct?

A month ago I moved all my coins to a different cold storage, silly me all coins age reset.. I'm not sure to understand this comment and reading the thread sporadically I don't know if this has been clarified: POS couldn't go backward (i.e. generating higher stake for coins that were held before the move to POS), right? If Rofo or someone from the NOBL team could clarify this point it'd be great as it makes a hell of a difference. Thanks! It`s all about the coinage. If you stored your coins in wallet for a long time you get higher POS. So it goes backward. If you switch your coins around a lot you have small coinage and get little POS Thanks for your reply, but my question is slightly different even if i didn't express it so well above. Let me try to rephrase: Once the transition to POS is done, will the the coins in the wallet prior to the switch to POS have a weight (coinage) or will all the wallets start staking from zero coinage at that time?

Almost a year ago, when I first got into crypto, I bought, sold and held about a dozen different coins over the first month or so. Out of all my rookie choices, this one is THEE pick which has not let me down.
Yep I like to see PHS around for the long term. a Year in cryptos is like a lifetime Do you even see any value to an of these alts? I can understand whole plat forms like NXT, SuperNet, and BlockNet, but other crypto's only seem to be nothing more than a testing ground for features that could later be implemented in BitCoin? tljenson, it seems that I did not provide good enough reasons to invest - obviously everyone is free to make their own choices! My perspective on this is that tech evolves and newness only remains new for so long. For a crypto-currency to work in the long term it's not the current technology that matters but the strength of its dev/dev team to keep it going, as well as a base of people, even small, willing to exchange other currencies, goods or services for that particular currency. Philosopher Stones have all of these. PHS did work as a good value storage for me just like you krostue

I popped into this quote this morning, quite relevant: In most things success depends on knowing how long it takes to succeed. - Charles de MontesquieuGnosis- has made progress on coding but i would leave the project management side to someone else... (no offense) To the people freaking out about manipulation: note that it could be used both ways

Are you guys related to songcoin.cc and pimovi.com ?
Yeap David Prince and Kasian Franks are the Co-founders, it's a joint venture that we're working on formalizing, then evolving a music monetization network around Songcoin. Songcoin - Invest in Music Very well! I see now Songcoin is legit - and has lots of potential You have no PoD, and only vague references to the team and to the few months development of SongCoin in the ANN... Getting in touch with cryptoasian.com can fix that Looking forward to what's coming!

Alacast- #1 = #1 lol then again the current logo's cool too, just very very different stylistically, like new modern techno vs crypto anarchism I know that n00n doesn't like 3D stuff, but here is a little compromise between the actual flat logo and something more techno-ish : These logos are entertaining but Soviet Union collapsed in 1989... I liked the one with formulas on the back as it refers to the hard-core maths behind zANC - but why a chain? Thanks Gnosis- for your work and updates; we definitely appreciate

Correction/clarification:
It sounds like I was wrong for assuming the difficulty algorithm hard fork would be at the same time as the AuxPow change.
As fixing the difficulty issues is top priority, this will come first. Per Gnosis "The auxpow change is not as critical and can wait until Zerocoin hits mainnet, or perhaps later."
Sorry for any confusion I may have caused based on my incorrect assumption. I think our Dev team has the right priorities!
Absolutely agree!

Been reading about new coins, whats special about this coin and why should I care. What does it bring to the table?
Hi tljenson, PHS is not new! It is more than 1 year old (while new coins are a lottery and some will not even last a month)... Let me try to give you a list of reasons: - The coin is technically stable and backed by a small but dedicated staking community and a strong developer. - It's an unpretentious and honest coin. - There are 2 rounds of technical updates coming in the next few weeks. - And PoS delivers 50% yearly interest! If you invest in several coins, you should consider more defensive ones like PHS to stabilize/protect your portfolio by quietly staking! My opinion anyways

If I may, I'd like to make some suggestions to the ANC team...
Before the move to zANC I think it would be wise to fix the KGW issue; I don't think K1773R wants to spend his life mining 100k tx when the volume of transactions goes up. It doesn't need to come with the myriad if this is holding ANC back; these could be sequenced. @ meeh it'd be nice to get an idea of when the fix will be made.
@ Gnosis it seems like a heavy schedule during the 1 week assumed to deliver the zANC testnet... Personally I don't like to get news of delays 1 day before a deadline - it's much better to assume things take 2X or even 3X longer when setting a deadline and deliver ahead of schedule (if things are ready); this fuels much more positive cycles. I know that this is complex and difficult to plan, it's only a matter of managing expectations from the community.
