Happy to announce ducknotewallet.dmg for Mac users. Beta testing, please, do not use for big XDN amounts.
https://mega.co.nz/#!CwIlVaaZ!E30lpq7H1htzIYlXuN1_UGYE0vA69hzXZEKj0MCBtKY

Great!
I was waiting for this. Smiley

Not working again.
When I start it nothing happens.
I doesn't appear in activity monitor.

I started it with open -a command as well. Same error.
Code:
LSOpenURLsWithRole() failed for the application /Applications/ducknotewallet.app with error -10810.

Please, check if you are opening new ducknotewallet.dmg, not .app

Hm, really strange, we tested on several macs and it worked, there is some problem with uploading files on file sharing services with mac applications. We will provide solution soon. Strange MAC issue.

P.S. All transactions that was delayed in blockain "including" now are visible in blockchain.

What do you mean by "now are visible in blockchain"?
I still see them on transaction pool.

Oh, sorry, not all transactions was included, you should wait.

This is really annoying.
5 hours ago I made withdrawals from Polo and paid 0.01 tx fee. It's still sitting on transaction pool.
I don't know why tx fee in transaction pool are below 0.01. I paid 0.01!!!
Now I'm watching blockchain explorer. Ducknotes  are flying all over the world but only those which have tx fee over 0.1.
Polo and Bittrex should make tx fee 0.02 or let users to choose how big it should be.

@dNote
Any thoughts when it will go into blockchain?
And how to solve this kind of problem in future?

Sure, main thing we are working on is base code and this week we will update sources with fixing above issues.
P.S. All transactions that was delayed in blockain "including" now are visible in blockchain.

I was reading a recent ducknote interview: cointelegraph.com/news/112294/what-the-duck-cryptonote-inspired-ducknote-xdn

things are a bit weird, bear with me:
Quote
here is no single duckNote developer. Instead, there is a number of duckNote developer teams with excellent IT knowledge and deep understanding of CryptoNote technology and cryptocurrency phenomenon. Each team is focused on its own project part, there are professional programmers, economists, managers and testers united by one idea

sounds awful alot like the cryptonote "team", a bunch of unknown people with said high academic and professional background, why such people would launch an amateur-looking coin like duckNote?

Quote
duckNote was launched on May 30 2014, New Moon. Hats off to BCN developers who launched Bytecoin - the very first CryptoNote implementation more than 2 years ago. duckNote is a fork of Bytecoin repository, with some unique features and specifications.

now here is where they show themselves, "Hats off to BCN developers"??, "more than 2 years ago"?  Roll Eyes

Quote
DN: duckNote is anonymous decentralized ASIC-resistant CPU-efficient cryptocurrency with unique emission curve and smart Economy. It is based on more than 2 years aged CryptoNote technology, implemented and approved by Bytecoin developers in mid 2012. Comparing with BCN, duckNote got different emission logic, network specs and development process.

now they are really pushing, no way if they were unrelated to CN team they would say " 2 years aged CryptoNote technology", it starts to sound very forceful, remember this article was published yesterday so ducknote 'dev team' had plenty of time to keep up with the allegations, we even had a guy tweet that he had nothing to do with cryptnote, how could ducknote team completely ignore this thread and go ahead saying BS like " implemented and approved by Bytecoin developers in mid 2012."...

suspicious as f*ck.

let me answer you in short terms:
1. duckNote is not an amateur coin.
2. Crypto scene is not limited to one country, continent or even the whole World. Do you really think that such a technology like CryptoNote will lay aside and hide from the eyes? i do not think so.
3. We found CryptoNote technology, we looked at its Roots and we found Bytecoin inside. We started base code research, it took some time to dive deep in that technology, but when we were done, we presented duckNote. And we are absolutely serious about it.
4. "Hats off to BCN developers" and everyone who will make such a codebase public and open source. Again, we care only about "root code" and we could not fail to mention Bytecoin, because duckNote is Bytecoin`s fork like any other CN cryptocurrency, and the technology is separated from Bitcoin.
5. "now they are really pushing, no way if they were unrelated to CN team they would say " 2 years aged CryptoNote technology", it starts to sound very forceful".
em Huh whaat?
we forked Bytecoin, hope you got it. yes we are. we made it. Bytecoin exist for 2 years, because we can see it in blockcain, are we? Yes, we are. And it works, that was the main and only measure when we were choosing codebase for duckNote.
But we do not know for sure how long does CryptoNote exist so we can`t say for sure.

P.S. We are not in your battle here, sorry, truly i did not read the whole forum topic here and do not understand your issues with duckNote. I hope those who do not like duckNote now, will like it in future. We keep hard work, thank you for your support.

Can anybody help me.

Why my transaction is not confirmed?

TxID : 949621fc68ea75612a5e6fbe3497cfe333ccef9ffdeb19809fc3c49ae2b47cdc

Your transaction is still in transaction pool, but not in blockchain yet -
http://chainradar.com/xdn/transaction/949621fc68ea75612a5e6fbe3497cfe333ccef9ffdeb19809fc3c49ae2b47cdc
Note: Transaction fee for that transaction is very low, and it may take some time to be included in blockchain.

Hello.
Thanks for the help.
I use duckNote GUI for WIndows v0.9b.

Ok. You should wait until your tx will be included in blockchain or rejected.

Please send your feature requests for the duckNote wallet. Next function we are working on, besides small fixes is a mining inside wallet. If you have any requests, please, do not be shy D<

Hello duckNote community,
We are hardly working on new GUI - and here is an updated version with minor bug fixes you reported to us.
Also we provide build for MAC. Dear OSX users, it is just an initial version for tests, full app will be available soon.
Source code will be public after beta testing.

New Windows version

Me too i have a transaction from yesterday.it was confirmed after 9 hours and now it's not yet on my wallet.
i have now 0 XDN in my wallet and i'm waiting for more than a day.
there is an issue or a delayed transactions due to hashrate explode i thought.

I like how this coin is aiming to be the "DOGE" of Crypto-note.

Great idea, I just bought my first coins  Grin

Being "DOGE" of CryptoNote is only a small part of duckNote`s destiny.

Oh I know. It's just appealing to me and makes sense to have a "tipping" currency in the CN family Smiley

Wow this is what I was thinking today... lol Ducknote is pretty awesome. Can anyone explain how it will maintain its CPU only status?
its not CPU only.

It is CPU-only efficient. Yes, GPU duckNote mining is possible, but there is NO performance GAP.
E.G.
Performance:

Bitcoin mining with CPU x1 -> Bitcoin mining with GPU ~x10 GAP -> Bitcoin mining with ASIC ~x1000 GAP
Litecoin mining with CPU x1 -> Litecoin mining with GPU ~x4 GAP -> Litecoin mining with ASIC ~x10 GAP
duckNote mining with CPU x1 -> duckNote minining with GPU ~NO GAP -> duckNote mining with ASIC impossible or unprofitable.

918  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [XDN] duckNote [ANN]. CryptoNote based. Anonymous and CPU only. on: August 17, 2014, 08:11:02 AM
Sorry for n00b question, Is it possible to mine with CPU at the same time AMD gpu's are crunching other coins.. has anyone done this...? I have 4 amd gpu rigs. I would like to  put these cpu's to quack quack mode, if it is just possible, and doesn't kill/jam my rigs?

Thank you ducks.

1. GPU duckNote mining is possible, but it is not energy efficient and there is no performance gap between CPU and GPU. So you can try your GPUs for duckNote mining too.
2. Yes, you can use your GPU & CPU for mining separate coins, you even can use separate CPU cores for different coins mining.
E.G. Minergate pool provide nice Desktop miner with mentioned above possibility.

Nice to see 1.5MH Network Hashrate value, it is just the beginning.
Pool owners may try duckNote supported pool software version
This open-source pool software is preconfigured for easy launch with duckNote.
