901  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Scammers are growing in numbers every day on Twitter, be careful out there on: April 02, 2022, 05:38:50 AM
It seems crypto users have been mostly targeted by scammers because of their anonymity. Every time I comment on a crypto-related project tons of DM has been sent to me with a link. Same things happen when using telegram. I really doubt people still fall for this method because it's become a very old method for scammers. They should try something different and innovative now. Or those thieves are just out of ideas!!! Angry
902  Economy / Economics / Re: Russia wants to build a new world order with China on: April 02, 2022, 05:31:50 AM
It doesn't even have the capability of taking over Ukraine. The more Russia acts as the tough guy, the more it is isolating itself. The more it insists that it is powerful, the more it becomes like a hermit country.

Ukraine is not a small country so it would be a fantasy if someone thinks it can be taken within a week or month. What Russia is doing is according to their plan after seeing the overall situation. Many people think the Russian invasion of Ukraine failed because they failed to capture Kyiv yet but in my opinion kiyv was never the primary objective. It was a diversion and the main objective was to trap a large number of arm forces in eastern Ukraine which is considered the last line of defense.

How many EU countries put sanctions on Russia's energy sector? Even Asian countries like India and Pakistan keeping close relations with Russia. Saudi Arabia, UAE have done the same despite their close relations with the USA. I can see Russia has a more friendly country than before and USA and UK are isolating themselves.

It cannot build a new world order with China, but it could offer itself wholly for China's disposal. China is the one creating a new world order right now. It has grown into an untouchable country. Sooner or later, to remain relevant, Russia will have to play the role of a sidekick to China just like how Belarus is to Russia today.

I think china's primary objective is to oppose USD dominance by replacing it as a reserve currency so that the USA loses its "sanction power" over the world. We have seen it before if any country has done something against the USA they put sanction over them and other countries have to cooperate because of USD's being universal currency of trade. Replacing USD means replacing the USA as a superpower.
903  Economy / Economics / Re: Russia wants to build a new world order with China on: April 01, 2022, 06:42:46 AM
High inflation rates weaken USD dominance for sure but are it really possible to replace USD as a reserve currency or the USA will allow that so easily? The era of regional currency is coming?

Well, it's not just that they want to. They have wanted to for a long time. I would say that they used to dream of taking the reserve currency status away from the dollar, but today it is a real possibility. Today in the medium term they can achieve it.

And in this case, the USA will not be able to do as with Saddam Hussein, who, when he said he was going to sell oil in euros, they killed him. But he didn't have atomic bombs.

If the USA try to do anything they did with Saddam Hussein it will lead to world war 3. In the current situation, Most of the USA allied countries abandoned the USA or we can say refused to cooperate with the USA against Russia. USA long term ally India bought Russian oil, Saudi Arabia, UAE refused to talk with USA and British president, EU countries refused to put full sanctions on Russia all the situation is against the USA.

USD is the backbone of the USA economy and the fuel to run USA military expenses all over the world. Fall of USD means fall of USA and I think they won't allow that so easily. If they failed to counter Russia and Chinese plans then they could go the extreme way.
904  Economy / Economics / Russia wants to build a new world order with China on: April 01, 2022, 05:40:08 AM
A new economic system is coming to the world and that system will not be dominated by the West. Russian Security Council Deputy Chairman Dmitry Medvedev (former Russian president) said in an interview with Russian media yesterday.

Quote
Medvedev said: "Hellish sanctions imposed on Russia by the United States, the EU, and their allies in the Ukraine conflict have failed to cripple Russia. Now, these sanctions are coming back to the West.

"As the West continues its futile efforts to corner Russia, the world is slowly moving towards a new global economic relationship. We are moving towards improving the financial system ', he added.

"Confidence in the reserve currency is fading like a morning mist and the prospect of the dollar and the euro leaving does not seem unrealistic now," Medvedev said.

High inflation rates weaken USD dominance for sure but are it really possible to replace USD as a reserve currency or the USA will allow that so easily? The era of regional currency is coming?

I was also shocked after seeing he brought 12000 BTC from the market. This releases the selling pressure from the market but not sure price will sustain for longer or not. But I think this is 4th time we are breaking the 50k mark and is that the indication of breaking the 4 year historically proven cycle? I am Missing Mycale Taylor at this party hope he will join soon.

As I know anonymous is not a single group where many security nerds work together to do something. You can also be a member of anonymous if you declared one. It's more like a decentralized hacker activist but I do not know who runs that youtube channel where videos have been released in the name of anonymous. Without a central command center or leadership, I do not know how this group will fight against Russia.

From Jr member to Member, all thanks for those who rank me up, I want to ask a question about merits, as a member account owner is it proper to merit someone else? Or too early to be sending merits to others? Thanks.

Actually, the forum encourages users to send merit to quality posters. That's how people got motivated for their contribution to this forum. You have the freedom to use your sMerits but just don't send them to any spam post or any post that is not helping or contributing anything to the forum. Sending merit to any spam post(example: Bounty POA comments) could identify your account as a farming account and you could get red trust for that if any DT member notices or report that.

You can check the reviews here:

https://www.trustpilot.com/review/bitpie.com
https://www.trustpilot.com/review/mathwallet.com
https://www.trustpilot.com/review/mathwallet.org

I do not know the Math wallet that you are talking about but there is no review in one and only one review in the second. About Bitpie, no review at all. Do not use a wallet that people are not using.

Review onTrustPilot does not mean at times that the wallet is good but about the ones you listed, people are not using it, do not use it. Use the official wallet of the coin if you do not find another wallet for it yet. Be careful not to be scammed, there is always many new altcoin scam.

I have personally used math wallets without any negative consequences. It's almost like a trust wallet where you can access your crypto wallet through a privet key, mnemonic phrase. The only difference I see is math wallet supports more blockchain than the trust wallet.

910  Economy / Economics / Re: New crypto law in Bangladesh? on: March 31, 2022, 04:38:23 PM
It seems the fellow got the entire logic incorrect. Digital currency is just a digital representation of fiat money and it will also be guaranteed by the central bank of the respective country. Rather cryptocurrencies can be used for illegal activities and money laundering. Digital currencies are rather difficult to use for illegal activities.

Bangladesh was one of the first nations to impose banking ban on cryptocurrencies. The central bank of Bangladesh is pushing very hard to finally make it illegal. Under the current government, I don't see Bangladesh legalizing cryptocurrencies.

He may misunderstand the whole thing but my point here is that bill was meant for CBDC or cryptocurrency. His last comments point toward issuing CBDC from Bangladesh bank but in one of his statements he is also concerned about the negative consequences of legalizing crypto currencies. I am a little bit confused here.
911  Economy / Economics / New crypto law in Bangladesh? on: March 29, 2022, 08:56:25 AM
On March 28, 2022, Fakrul Imam, the Leader of the Opposition in the National Assembly of Bangladesh, spoke on the issue of the Digital Currency Act. He spoke on the "Payment and Settlement System Act 2022" on electronic money. he said "There are three stages of electronic currency around the world, known as virtual currency, digital currency, and cryptocurrency. Cryptocurrency is divided into many parts and Bitcoin is one such cryptocurrency".

According to him, the law mentioned above means that digital currency and cryptocurrency will be introduced in this country. At the same time, he criticized digital currency, saying that digital currency is usually used in criminal activities such as money laundering and payments in gambling(Gambling is illegal in Bangladesh).

He differentiated between fiat currency and digital currency by saying, "Bangladesh Bank has security against the legal tender or cash we currently use. But no such security or regulator is required for digital currency which makes it risky also it always requires a digital device to use those currencies which limits its accessibility."

The "Payment and Settlement System Act 2022" refers to digital currency as an electronic currency introduced by Bangladesh Bank as an alternative to legal tender for the use of banks or financial institutions or for public use. "

So we can expect Bangladesh to legalize cryptocurrency or Bangladesh bank is trying to issue their own CBDC?

So why even attempt to explain everything as if they're economical?

Because it is economical. I think that the ideological theory and fantasy of Dagan are just to brainwash Rush people. Hitler has done Similar thing in nazi Germany. According to media reports, 200k people were gathered in Moscow in support of Putin.
913  Economy / Economics / Re: Ukraine VS Russia. Ideological or Economical conflict? on: March 21, 2022, 06:35:39 AM
This invasion is neither ideological nor economical. This invasion is simply born out of a folly. Arguing that this invasion is either ideological or economical is dignifying it. At the bottom of it, this is nothing but a decision of a deranged man. Putin is becoming a crazy dictator who is living in a world of fantasy. The problem is that he has so much power and he is a mad man. Everybody is afraid to confront him and tell him he is out of his mind. I know for sure that even some of those people in his inner circle do not approve of this stupidity.

How do you so sure about Putin's mental conditions? Do not forget he is a former KGB agent that gives him a cold-blooded mind. Putin is not in fantasy nor it is his own will that is going on right now. The Russians have carried out many military operations outside the country since the collapse of the Soviet Union. Georgia (2006), Crimea (2014), Belarus (2020), Kazakhstan (2022), and then Ukraine (2022). But in reality, from Russia's point of view, these campaigns are not the military adventures of a single individual. Behind each expedition is comprehensive integrated thinking of the future geographical plans of the Russians. To understand Russia's ongoing militarism, we must turn our attention away from Putin to Alexander Dagan, one of Putin's advisers.

Alexander Dagan's own book where he talk about his new ideology. "The Fourth Political Theory"

Quote
Dagin thinks that equality is an invalid concept. Europe must now focus on establishing the ‘Eurasia’ empire, in which the Russians will be the heroes. In other words, it will be a 'Greater Russia', an empire dominated by old religions and political structures.

This talk looks like a fantasy but I am afraid that he is exactly doing everything for it at least all these Russ military expeditions point towards that. he is the man behind all these military interventions of Russia and he is using Putin. Putin has a very close relationship with Dagin and is influenced by his ideology.

War on Ukraine is part of a long pre-planned picture which can be proven from a statement of Degan in 2006.

Quote
During the Russian invasion of Georgia, Dagan visited South Ossetia and, in support of his country's military operation in Georgia, said, "These territories, including Tbilisi, Crimea, and Ukraine, belong to the Russians."

I am not sure in the long term Russia could succeed or not but it will make the whole of Europe a continent of ruins.

914  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Strategic defeat for Russia? on: March 21, 2022, 02:21:35 AM
The Russian invasion is Ukraine is likely to result in Russia being unable to supply gas to Europe, as Europe will be unwilling to buy Russian gas over the long term.

It won't change much for Russia. When there's a seller, there's always a buyer. If not at this price, there will be at a lower one. Some countries will buy Russian Gas. For instance, Orban said he's not going to stop trading with Russia because Hungary cannot afford it.
Many countries have voted to stop trading with Russia but they have contracts until the end of this year, so they will keep buying until 2023. I doubt the war will last that long. It will either end with Russia falling back after getting assurance from Ukraine that it won't join NATO (which it is already ready to give), or escalate to a war with the EU and NATO. This isn't too improbable because almost 50% Russians support the invasion of Ukraine and blame the EU for sanctions. Most supply chains from the EU to Ukraine go through Polish border. I wouldn't be surprised if Putin shot a few missiles towards the border which would be a direct attack that NATO might not let slide.

This could be true but no one wants to lose his best buyer and right now that is the EU. Russia is desperate to keep the EU under pressure to buy gas from him. Russia even played a political game in the middle east to hold the EU market by not letting Qatar build a gas pipeline to the EU. I could explain the whole scenario to you but that will only chuckle my comments you can follow this link to learn all about this pipeline politics.
915  Economy / Economics / Re: US warns India over oil deal with Russia on: March 21, 2022, 02:10:56 AM
I have seen in the news lately that India buying oil from Russia isn’t a violation of the Western sanctions, but correct me if I’m wrong though. However, assisting Russia with weapons is a different thing and is a clear violation, in which India is staying away from that.

Lately, both US president Joe Biden and China president Xi Jingping are in a convo discussing about the Ukraine War situation, especially that Russia claims to be asking China for help in providing them military weapons and equipment. US already warned China about that and may face Western sanctions for helping the enemy.

Now US is bracing themselves to find an alternative in buying oil because they have stopped buying Russian oil after these sanctions are made by the Biden administration.

I think you are not actually following the news. The USA urges other countries to cut off their business with Russia and India is no exception. They even threaten India to put sanctions if they are not cooperating with them. You are talking about military help for Russia to assist them in the war with Ukraine. I do not think India has that type of capability or guts to assist militarily to a military might like Russia. The only way India could help Russia is by buying Russian oil and gas which the USA warned for.

Joe Biden and Xin Jinping really discussing the Ukraine war situation! when did that happen? I saw Chinese official's statement about supporting Russia and criticizing NATO about their eastern expansion. In terms of military help, I think Russia doesn't need that from china. If there is any country more capable in terms of military might after the USA that is Russia.
916  Other / Politics & Society / Re: We are at the door step of world war 3? on: March 21, 2022, 01:55:15 AM

I wonder if the invasion and annexation of Crimea played a part in the Ukrainian attempt to join the NATO. I know, it further triggered Russia but it seems to be an act of desperation. No matter, Zelensky overestimated Ukraine's importance to NATO, which pretty much didn't showed up to help them.

Crimea was annexed because of its natural resource in its basin. Also, it's one of the few seaports in the EU that don't freeze in times of winter. That means it's still operational for trade and other military activity. Crimea was important for Russia for economic purposes. But that doesn't give the Ukraine to join NATO right now. They should have taken more time and built their army with western weapons. Zelensky is shortsighted that's why he failed to anticipate NATO will not join a war against a nuclear-powered country.

And so I heard. Apparently most of Ukrainian oil/gas deposits are in the Donbas region and on the Black Sea within Crimea's EEZ. Also to add that Ukraine is one of the chokepoint for any invading force into Russia so it was thought of as Russia's gateway.

As for whether Ukraine has time to build up a defense first before deciding to express determination to join NATO, I think they're really racing against time to try to recover the eastern territories, the same areas Russia is now forcing them to recognize as independent. Ukraine shouldn't have destroyed all its nukes (the 3rd largest stock in the world then).

The great flat plain of Ukraine and Russia doesn't have any natural barriers like mountains and big rivers so yes it is a chokepoint in case of any invading force. Ukrainian should have listened to Russia's warning and first build up their economy and defense before rushing into joining NATO. Joining the EU rather than NATO could change their economy. The lost area could be recovered later if you have a well-equipped military and a strong economy to support it.

Ukraine hasn't destroyed their nukes they just hand them over to Russia in 1991 and USA was one of the contributors with Russia to do that. I think that was a good decision for that time because for a newly independent country it could be really hard to keep highly classified technology from trafficking. Just think where poor North Korea got their missile technology who doesn't have money or mind to spent for this type of research.

You can delete the post but not the thread. You wouldn't be able to delete the first post of your thread either, just edit it.
I wonder why it's so.
Deleting a thread would mean you get to delete someone else's posts.

So how someone can remove or delete a topic that he started if he thinks it's irrelevant or unnecessary right now? I think there must be some procedure to do that because there are many topics in the service and marketplace board which is created for short time. Or just leave it by thinking it's not there.
918  Economy / Economics / Re: Ukraine VS Russia. Ideological or Economical conflict? on: March 21, 2022, 01:35:21 AM
This war is deeply ideological. Russia, throughout history, occupied Ukrainian territories. Russia also appropriated OUR history, trying to make it theirs. Putin repeatedly said he doesn't see Ukraine as a separate state, doesn't see Ukrainian people as separate from the Russian people. Only someone very out of context could believe that the war is economical.

So you are expecting Putin to first announce that he demands Crimean gas and oil reserve along with free gas transit through Ukrainian territory then attack Ukraine? Georg W Bush first said Iraq has weapons of mass destruction then provoked other nations to join his side to attack Iraq which later proved that this attack was only for sucking Iraq's oil reserves. Superpower throws fear or ideological cake to people to justify their wrongdoing and gain support. You just can not say a state give me your wealth or face destruction. It's not the roman or Mongol era.

Putin has done a similar thing which has done in 2003 when the USA and their allies attack Iraq. Also, you must have known that 35-40% of Ukrainian are pro-Russian, especially in eastern Ukraine and that's a big number. They have a historical and cultural connection with Russia so what Putin said is not totally wrong after all.
919  Economy / Economics / Ukraine VS Russia. Ideological or Economical conflict on: March 19, 2022, 07:58:02 PM
If you dive deep into the past incident then you will see the real reason behind the Ukraine Russian war is economic not ideological or security concern.

This war is an economic loss for Russia? There is 3 main economical reason behind the Russian attack on Ukraine.

1. Russia's gas transit problem with Ukraine?

We all know how much Europe depends on Russia for its energy to power up their country to survive the winter. Gas from Europe first goes to eastern Europe through Ukraine and then all over western Europe. On 1 January 2006, Russia cut off its gas supply to Europe due to a transit problem with Ukraine. Ukraine was demanding more transit fees from Russia than the global rate. When Poland charged 1$ per 1000 Cubic meter gas to transit 100 KM Ukraine demanded 2.5$ for the same amount of gas. Not only that, Russia found out that Ukraine was stealing some gas from the supply route by diverting it for their personal use. This was the beginning of the whole problem.

2. why did Russia annex Crimea?

a) There is a trillion dollars worth of gas reserve found in the basin of Crimea which Russia wants. This was the main and first reason behind the Russian occupation in Crimea.

b) Crimean seaport Sevastopol didn't freeze in winter which makes it unique from most other seaports in Europe. This means Russia can operate business even in winter through this seaport. Not only that it can be used as a naval fleet for the Russian navy the whole year. And its location gives Russia the power to conduct any naval operation to the whole of Europe.

3. Why attack Ukraine?

We can see how important Crimea is for Russia but Crimea has a very serious problem of its own and that is it doesn't have any natural source of drinkable water. Its water comes from Ukraine and after the occupation of Crimea Ukraine cut off its water supply. So only having Crimea without any water supply isn't sufficient enough.

Many of us think that Russia's attack on Ukraine is due to its joining NATO which I think isn't valid because Russia has a border with two other NATO members. The main reason is economic not ideological or security concerns. Both sides have some responsibility behind the conflict but that hasn't given Russia the right to annex Crimea or attack Ukraine. Did I miss any points here?
920  Other / Politics & Society / Strategic defeat for Russia? on: March 19, 2022, 12:57:40 PM
Putin has misjudged Ukraine deeply so what was supposed to be a lightning strike overthrowing the Ukrainian government has turned into a lengthy siege. Meanwhile, the USA and Europe are imposing severe costs on Moscow so much so that Russia has suppressed Iran as the most sanctioned nation with record-breaking 5532 sanctions in total. There is no doubt that the Russian military might is so great but it failed in moral, logistics, and information war.

No one is eating Putin's justification for the war and thinking about who is the next hitlist of Putin. For sure Putin played the biggest strategic blunder of his life even if the Russian army were to win every battle and take every city Russia would still lose the war. winning the heart and mind of the people of Ukraine is an impossible task for Putin. After all no matter what it's a strategic defeat for Putin and Russia.
