Hopefully, Ten Hag can rebuild Manchester United and bring back the glory days reminiscent of the Ferguson era. At the very least, we can enjoy a fierce competition in the EPL, and they can establish themselves as strong contenders in the race for the Champions League.

Ten Hag’s arrival at Manchester United raised the hopes I think of a lot of fans all over. He came in when Man United desperately needed some change. And some change he did bring. Having won the EFL cup and  finished amongst the top four in the just concluded EPL and qualified for the Champions League, one could say it’s a good start in the right direction.

I think we would see a more better performance from Manchester United in the coming season. They would need to gear up for a competitive season and I have some hope that they would be ready. It would be nice to see the glory days of Manchester United during the time of Ferguson come alive again.

Manchester City's losing Gundogan is of course not good as he was their captain at the same time. However this isn't the end of the world for them either. I don't expect this news to affect their Champions League performance much next time. Besides Manchester City are one of the most influential teams in Europe right now.

I wouldn't really call Gundogan leaving the club for Barcelona an actual loss. Although he was a great asset as well as being the one to captain the team, I'm sure Manchester city would fare well without him on the squad. They've got really capable players that would comfortably fill his role on the pitch.

As for the captain role, there are competent players that could lead the team to success in any game. I think Kevin De Bruyne could be a good captain to the lads. His presence on the pitch, in my opinion, motivates other players and aides that, he plays good football as well.
I very well doubt Gundogan leaving the club would affect in a negative way, their champions league race.
903  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: European Sex Championship 😳, Will you Bet? on: June 27, 2023, 05:01:10 PM
I think it could happen with proper management. You could mainly get sponsored by pornhub or that kind of porn site. They could organize many legal things behind. You would obviously ask IDs of people that are going to join. You could set a jury as well through pornhub assistance. Couple of pornstars maybe. I think betting could work as well. Why not? Only if they could handle legal issues with great lawyers. I think they will try this once more.

Well, technically this event could be considered as a sport as people would be competing for a prize and perhaps some more recognition than they’ve already got and I bet any winner of this event would be known by fans of that “sport”.

The scenario you painted could likely happen someday and they could be sponsored by some big porn sites with some financial muscle big enough to pull it off. The participants would obviously not be minors. I had been talking about how it would be so inappropriate to air this “sport”generally on TV. I have no doubt that event like these could very well be held but will likely be exclusively shown on the sites sponsoring the events.

But I don’t think this event won’t be accepted as sport by any sports organization and so betting on this is still not clear.
904  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: European Sex Championship 😳, Will you Bet? on: June 26, 2023, 11:56:05 PM

I don’t know why I stopped hearing about the event, by now it should have started, or have they started it maybe they are doing it hidden because events like this is not suppose to be published publicly, or is it that the event have been cancelled? Most people are not in support of sports like this, it’s really bad for our society, how will children be watching people having sex publicly, it’s really bad, children will be exposed to watching porn at their early stage, because all what I will call the sport is acting porn publicly, and I won’t call having sex in public a sport, rather its will be called acting of pornography.

Thankfully, the event didn’t get the necessary approval to enable it kick off. It would have been really crazy if it had gotten the approval. I don’t know exactly what the event planners had in mind and how it would be received from people. They apparently didn’t think this so called event through nor hard enough.

You’re spot on in calling this event pornography cause that’s what it is. I too wondered how this “sports event” would be televised. Wouldn’t the organizers be worried about minors getting access to watch these events on TV. Perhaps it wasn’t intended to be televised or the organizers don’t care who watches their event.

Well, that’s all irrelevant now as the so called event has failed and will not be happening anytime soon.
905  Economy / Economics / Re: Let's imagine you were the president of your country, How would your Economic on: June 26, 2023, 11:28:22 PM
I think being the president of a nation would be a difficult task because of people around you, not the job itself. Like if you make me president today with the way I am today, I would make the nation a better place, and so would a lot of people here, that's the point, if we were, then we would be great. But, the presidents usually don't and we dislike them.

Being a president of a nation isn’t an easy task and I think mostly cause of people around. There are a whole lot of “advisors” along with members of his cabinet and all that sort of thing. If a president really wants to change his/her country for the better, the people around who should follow through and carry out the presidents reforms and policies end up not doing so.

People like those have their own personal interests and would work primarily in those interests, damn the country. And that’s why a lot of presidents who actually want to make a difference don’t.
There are people I think, who would actively sabotage any good reforms that would benefit the general populace if it conflicts with their interests.
So yeah, a presidents job is no easy task.
906  Economy / Economics / Re: Methods to cut food costs on: June 26, 2023, 10:44:28 PM
As to cooking a small portion - that isnt cost effective imho. Imagine how much you will spend gas, electricity and water when frying, boiling, washing + time, if you prepare meals 3 times a day vs preparing a huge pot with meal for few days.

Cooking a smaller portion isn’t really time effective but it could be considered cost effective and I had been replying to someone else who mentioned that they were single and I mentioned they could cook a smaller portion as it would be for just one individual.
Personally, I think it’s much better to cook in larger quantities and then store these foods in a freezer. Whenever you’re hungry, you could take the quantity needed and put the rest back.
907  Economy / Economics / Re: Landed properties is the best investment on: June 23, 2023, 09:55:49 AM

I think that those individuals who don't have any land from their parents will start their journey of success from the starting point and it will takes a lot of time. The value of land appreciated over time so it will be very useful option if one select landed investment.

Following your logic, an individual(let's say a man)who wasn't lucky in this life to have parents who could leave him land as an inheritance would have to start the journey of success from the starting point. Lol. Cause land is the only asset that could yield profits in the long run.
What about people who were "unlucky" enough to have parents who didn't leave land but perhaps left them a billion dollars in trust. Would those same people have to undertake the journey of success from the starting point? I don't think so.
908  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: How did you start your posting life as a newbie??? only for full mem, Sr and leg on: June 23, 2023, 08:40:24 AM
recommend to us how you did the magic on your post count and also merit court and how to do things on the forum and also on how you  share your time table for the forum

There is actually nothing to it and no magic involved.
You share your knowledge, thoughts and opinions with others on here as well as learning some things in return. You should want to be unique as that would make you stand out from the rest and get you some attention(hopefully positive ones).

You could also want to be civil in your interactions with people on here as well as being thick skinned so as not to let words as hurtful as they may seem, get to you.
As for merits, If you actually put in some effort to want to learn new things on here as well as teaching others what you know, then merits would definitely locate you.
909  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2022/2023 on: June 23, 2023, 07:13:31 AM

Many people believe that Haaland is better than Benzema, Mbappe, Ronaldo, and Messi today, but I make it clear to them that even if Haaland plays for another five years, he won't be able to match what these players have already accomplished because all of these players create opportunities for themselves to score goals; they don't always rely on others.

Those people have a right to their opinions no matter how weird it may seem. In my own opinion, Haaland currently is nothing compared to Mbappe. While Mbappe himself being in top form can’t be placed on the same league as Messi or Ronaldo.

Personally, I don’t even believe Haaland could ever play better than Messi although that remains to be seen. Messi and Ronaldo have had a very successful career scoring goals as well as creating chances for other to score. Let’s see Haaland top that
910  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2022/2023 on: June 23, 2023, 12:00:31 AM
But what makes Haaland always able to score goals is that he is good at opening gaps for opponents and placing himself in positions that are indeed very easy for his colleagues to pass the ball or provide Assists to Haaland. at least that's what happened from the start of last season to midway through. but from the middle of the season to the end of the season we could see Haaland struggling to create chances for himself. because he continues to be closely guarded by every opponent who faces Manchester City. But luckily Manchester City have another great striker who can replace Haaland in scoring lots of goals.

Yes, he’s quite good at opening up and placing himself in really nice positions that are really easy for his teammates to locate and let him have the ball to do what he’s good at which is scoring goals. And Manchester City, luckily for them doesn’t rely on him nor any single player to score goals or they would have been in a fix.
I think he’s better at opening up for passes or assists than trying to create opportunities for himself but luckily for him, he has good teammates capable of creating opportunities and scoring goals as well with and without his presence on the field.

911  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Will you find it offensive to be referred to as an addicted gambler? on: June 22, 2023, 11:37:54 PM

if you tell a gambler who you think is addicted that he or she is an addict, and he or she picks an offense, do not blame such a gambler because it's very possible he or she is yet to realize he's or she's addicted, they can only discover when they decide to stop gambling but realize they are finding it difficult to stop.

Perfectly understandable. A whole lot of addicts wouldn’t actually realize they’re addicts unless being told to their face or perhaps when they’re trying to stop the habit and finds out that it’s not as easy to stop as it initially was when first starting out.
I can understand when an addicted gambler takes offense when being told to his face that he’s addicted. Denial is a phase when the person doesn’t believe he/she can get addicted and denial in itself could hinder any thoughts of trying to get better cause in the mind, there is no addiction to get out of.

912  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: UEFA Champions League 2023/24 Season on: June 22, 2023, 10:46:08 PM

There is good hope about Chelsea next season because I think Pochettino can have a good impact on his form. In general, Chelsea is good, but they are just not organized in terms of team organization when playing.

I too agree. Generally, Chelsea is good and has a whole lot of experienced and capable players that are able to score goals and bag wins for the club. Perhaps they just aren’t organized when playing or there may be some other things that went wrong. Either way, there is some good hope about their future and overall performance next season. Mauricio Pochettino could have a good impact on the squad. Although that remains to be seen, there is nothing but hope about the possibility of the club playing and performing much better than they did in the just concluded season.
One thing is certain, change is needed. Would Pochettino be that much needed change?
913  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Will you find it offensive to be referred to as an addicted gambler? on: June 22, 2023, 10:17:52 PM
I think if someone is truly addicted to gambling and then takes offense when being referred to as an addicted gambler, that person will likely not change any time soon.
A man that’s a gambling addict would only truly change for the better if he first realizes and tells himself the truth that he’s addicted and then makes up his mind to quit the addiction. Only then would change occur.

Addiction creeps in slowly and most times unnoticed. And I think if you find it offensive when referred to as an addictive gambler, then most likely you’re slowly creeping into addiction if not there yet.
914  Economy / Economics / Re: Economic problem, why is fiat difficult to hold. on: June 22, 2023, 09:43:15 PM
I blame myself a lot for spending so much and being irresponsible with money, but in your opinion, do you think that the soceity is contributing to the high and many expenses making money not to stay or is it just a bad habit I have?

Perhaps it’s a combination of the constant rise in the prices of goods and services as well as your bad habits. You said it yourself that you blame yourself for spending a lot as well as being irresponsible with money.
Anyone can make a plan with what to do with money but few people could actually stay on course with the plan to actualize the set goals.

You should start with having and keeping with a scale of preference. With that, you could keep track of what is actually needed(not wanted) and get them leaving the unnecessary and most times wasteful things. Unexpected expenses would likely pop up every now and then but with a clear budget and a scale of preference, you could beat the habit of spending on what isn’t needed and keep more money saved.
915  Economy / Economics / Re: Let's imagine you were the president of your country, How would your Economic on: June 22, 2023, 09:21:44 PM
For a start
If I were in a position to and also able to change my country’s economic situation for the better, I would start by changing some old and outdated laws and policies and bringing in some reforms that would encourage more people to go into entrepreneurship.

Without adequate security, there can be no meaningful change that would affect the economic growth and development of the nation. Hence, I might be willing to consider a pay increase for security agencies. Along with a pay increase, a more adequate training program would be implemented to keep these agencies up to speed.

With adequate security, growth and foreign investment could slowly begin to take place. Foreign investment wouldn’t come overnight. Investors would need to see a business opportunity that would bring in profits for them to come in. So, investment in education and skill acquisition would also be a priority.

Easier said than done, but I would also try(with the recently implemented policies)to make everyone pay their fair share in taxes.

916  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2022/2023 on: June 22, 2023, 08:41:36 PM

With a squad like Manchester City, Nunez might have scored a lot of goals. Not to say that the Liverpool squad is weak. However, since Sadio Mane left the team, Liverpool's performance has completely collapsed. And their performance was very erratic. Because of this, the team has not consistently performed better than Nunez. However, in the last few games of the season, Liverpool played very well and their performance was stable. Therefore, it is expected that Liverpool's performance will not be irregular in the next season. At the same time, Nunez will be able to score a lot of goals if he gets enough support from his teammates.

I too think Liverpool performance has dwindled after the departure of Sadio Mane to Bayern Munich and they haven’t quite recovered fully enough from it although we can’t actually classify them as a weak team. I still believe Darwin Nunez still has a role to play at Liverpool and perhaps doesn’t get enough support from his teammates like you noted.
With a squad like Manchester City, I believe Nunez would definitely have scored much more then he did. Nevertheless, the next season would probably be better for the lad and in general for the club if they could maintain some sort of consistency in their performances.
917  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2022/2023 on: June 22, 2023, 07:16:09 PM
Nunez may not even be remotely close to Haaland, but I agree that the team plays a big role in there. If Nunez played for City and Haaland played for Liverpool, I think we would see Haaland score less and Nunez score more. Would Haaland still score more than Nunez? Maybe, maybe not.

I think the teams involved does play a huge role here. Nunez is a very talented player as well and could very well be relied upon to score goals. Manchester City plays beautiful football as a team and does a pretty good job of getting the ball over to Haaland who then goes ahead to score goals.
I agree with you that if the roles were reversed and Darwin Nunez was playing for Manchester City, we would see Nunez score more goals and Haaland score less. I think the entire team hugely contributed to a very successful first premier league season for Haaland.
918  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: UEFA Champions League 2023/24 Season on: June 21, 2023, 10:56:09 PM

I don't feel like Joselu would be enough in the attacking line for being very competitive for the Champions League title. Ancelotti would like to have a reliable attacking line there I assume. As I said before they should think of Vlahovic as an alternative too. He can really be great for the team and Mbappe's arrival also wouldn't put him in a difficult spot in the lineup.

Joselu most likely won’t be enough for the attacking line of Real Madrid. Supposing he injury that would take him out of action for weeks or worse, the rest of the season. They would need to be ready to compete healthily against other top clubs foot the title of the champions league cup.
No doubt, he’s a great player but I doubt he would be able to fill the really big shoes left by Benzema leaving the club. I don’t think the club was quite ready for Benzema’s departure from the club.
919  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: UEFA Champions League 2023/24 Season on: June 21, 2023, 10:21:03 PM

It seems that Barcelona has acquired the right player to fill the void left by Busquets, who is reportedly set to join Inter Miami. With the guidance of Xavi, whom Gundogan admires, I am eagerly anticipating his performances at Barcelona in the upcoming season.

It does seem Barcelona has acquired the right player to fill in the shoes of Sergio Busquets. I too am anticipating his performance at Barcelona in the upcoming season.
Gundogan is a player with so much experience under his belt and he’s bringing all that to Barcelona. It would be interesting to see in what direction would Barcelona take with Gundogan on board. I think they have a good shot of retaining the La Liga title. I think Gundogan would fit it nicely with the squad.
920  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Can Casinos Go Bankrupt Because of Player Wins? on: June 21, 2023, 10:06:03 PM
I think there is a very good chance of a fairly new casino going bankrupt because of paying out winnings by players. A fairly new casino would most likely have limited funds and if a scenario whereby a lot of players play big and win even bigger, then I bet the casino would have such funds to pay and still comfortably remain in business a lot of players that played and won on their platform.
I think this is very possible with newly established casinos as old and already established casinos would have money in their reserves to pay out big winnings and still remain strong.
If a business going on strong and profitable for years could go bankrupt, then a casino could very well go bankrupt as well.
