901  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: A neighbor next door on: July 26, 2023, 07:34:26 AM
My question is, did you get concerned immediately about his dealings and felt he is doing a wrong thing immediately he asked to learn bitcoin. What made you sure that he wanted to learn bitcoin to aid his crime.

He has been into the business long before without bitcoin knowledge and he wasn’t caught, so if you’re concerned about him doing something wrong then you can report him to the authorities for investigation.

But this right here is like saying criminals use bitcoin and that is a wrong narrative spread around bitcoin.

Also since he doesn’t know a thing about bitcoin I doubt he will know that it can be used to evade crime.

What will you do if something like this is happening around you? Why would a drug dealer want to learn Bitcoin if not for a safer haven for running the business?
902  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Why Is dirty Bitcoin an Attractive Option for growing money on: July 25, 2023, 04:18:24 AM
If you have any genuine questions or dialogue to actually make about bitcoin even if you’re it’s hater, you can just bring that up and not by sending a link into the forum that would lead to a scam place. From the way you parade your telegram asking people to send you message, I can tell that you’re a scammer or a troll already and I would advice all forum members to avoid sending that message.

If you want to prove your point do it here the same way you were able to create a thread.

Peace

this is exactly the point my friend that now the number of dirty bitcoin traders is increasing, for example, you want to buy 100 dollars in bitcoins and paying only 60 for dirty bitcoins you will get your 100, I say this by my own example
If you are interested I can send you a link

Yes, send the link, so we can confirm what bullshit you are talking about. The way you talk you sound like someone who has a lot of ideas about how to launder money with Bitcoin but has no experience with it. It's the last straw when you mix traders with laundering and don't name the main ways to do it.

903  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How can a person buy a hardware wallet where crypto is ban? on: July 24, 2023, 10:47:26 PM
It could be a possibility we can’t say. The government sometimes are too stern on their rules and any attempt to break the rules are mostly treated like committing the crime it selves. So it would be better to not get in there way.
does this mean that they will also arrest people that own a hard wallet despite the hard wallet not having anything in it just because it is associated with cryptocurrency?

Hey ~speedx~ l would say take the advice of crypto Library, because your personal safety is always paramount to everything. Aside hardware wallets. I have read about how all this non custodian wallets like electrum wallet can work almost perfectly when air gapped, why not try that way instead and then if your country restrictions towards bitcoin lessens you can buy yourself a hardware wallet
904  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: scammers using Exodus wallet fake email on: July 23, 2023, 04:14:46 PM
Although trustwallet seems to be self custodian too, I think you don’t need to actually rely on them because they aren’t open source. And with multiple reports that it was/has been acquired by Binance which is a centralized platform then it is a thing of concern. Also there was trustwallet had issues early this year where they lost people’s funds although there were refunded, but still I wouldn’t trust them. The best thing is to follow PX-Z advice

I don't even understand why would a "wallet" collect users emails or names. Luckily I never used this exudes wallet. I relay the most on trustwallet.
905  Other / Beginners & Help / Spreading bitcoin awareness; Your personal security matters first on: July 19, 2023, 11:48:36 AM
I have found and read through numerous threads on the forum about the spreading of bitcoin awareness and adoption by many forum members. Two of the widely used methods from this threads that I have read are; Class room teachings and using bitcoin as a payment method for ones business. This is a great way to increase bitcoin adoption spread to others, but isn’t this done at the detriment of the advocate’s safety and privacy?

One of the main aim of bitcoin from its inception by satoshi is not just to protect our money but also to protect the user. Therefore by spreading bitcoin awareness in countries or communities that it’s government are against it, should be done cautiously. Because once the government decides to take strict actions against the users, some of the advocates that spread it publicly or use it in their businesses will easily be traced and could be convicted for breaking the law, and I don’t think even Satoshi will appreciate that.

I feel like bitcoin should be spread in these kind of communities secretly and cautiously to avoid exposing our privacy and hampering our security. It should only be thought to people that show interest and not going to schools to teach them because that is like breaking the laws of the community or country, and bitcoin or Satoshi himself is not have law breakers or criminals as it’s users or advocates just like how the media and government portrays it.

So before spreading bitcoin awareness, first of all take care of your own security First. If you can then leave the advocacy for that period. Bitcoin Uniqness will surely pave way for itself like it has been doing through the years.
906  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: A idea from my home boy on: July 18, 2023, 10:14:22 AM
Not a great idea I would say. First which words will he take out. Should he decide to take the last two or the first two out, then when the other words are found then the probability of getting the remaining two will be easier. Should he decide to take words from within those seeds then there is a probability also that he would miss up those words when trying to put them together. And should he leave a clue then an hacker could also use that clue.

The idea of also storing seeds off head has been advised against before because of probably future health challenges like brain damage
907  Economy / Economics / Re: Things you should know about Money mindset on: July 12, 2023, 05:32:37 AM
Yes they actually believe that the only way people earn through the internet is mostly by scamming or engaging in Ponzi schemes. Even though technology has advanced beyond that and people with the knowledge could earn from the internet, I still don’t blame them because if they Should also join on the internet money making they would easily be scammed since they lack enough knowledge. And this is part of the reason why bitcoin adoption is also not growing in those areas.

Internet has paved a way for plenty new ways to earn money unfortunately most of older generation doesn't understand that, and in less educated people or the ones living in developing nations — to them making money from Internet sounds like alien thing.
908  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2023/2024 on: June 28, 2023, 02:24:04 AM
With the news two weeks ago it seems Glazers are reconsidering selling off all their shares and that is where the bidding war is happening right now Sir Jim is considering allowing them hold some shares while The Sheikh is going in for complete sale. The Glazers want Sir Jim’s deal or a more improved offer by the Sheik and this would take the club sale another two months to complete which will eventually lead to the season been started with Glazers as owners. This has really affected ETH overhaul plan and the fans are really upset and they just had to a little protest during the home shirt unveiling.

The acquisition process for the Manchester United club is likely to take a long time because until now there is no definite certainty when the acquisition process will be completed.  Indeed, of the several offers that came for the Glazers, only Sheikh Jassim got the green light from the Glazers. I think if manchester united has a new owner in this month of course they can move actively in bringing in lots of players to prepare themselves for next season.

One of the news I saw on social media was that fans were starting to feel uncomfortable with the completion of the acquisition, which was considered to be delayed, and some fans even demonstrated asking the Glazers to leave. Sheikh Jassim also offered an option to pay off Manchester United debt and I think Sheikh Jassim is one of the owners who wants to rebuild Manchester United to be the strongest team in the seasons to come.
909  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: How can i convert USDT to GBP and return to bank without Binance and Coinbase? on: June 07, 2023, 06:17:41 PM
If you are trying to avoid these two exchanges because of the cases they have with SEC then you can simply use Kraken or KuCoin. There are also other multiple decentralized exchanges too. But if you are looking towards avoiding exchanges at all then you might have to consider physical P2P for your conversion
910  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin is prohibited for use as payment on the island of Bali, Indonesia on: May 30, 2023, 09:21:58 PM
This is nothing new, any country that ban Bitcoin as means of payment know too less about the innovation, even US that was categorised as one of the most smartest countries alive know too less about crypto and Bitcoin, they shamed themselves using someone like Gensler to go after crypto and he knows nothing about security, and call Ethereum a security.
They are still smart even now, the only reason these countries are restricting bitcoin is not because they don’t know it’s value but because they are can’t find a way to regulate or control it like other currencies. Some countries restrict or ban it for just religious purposes. But they do know the advantages it offers.

912  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: What are hidden signs to look for when you're dealing with a Fraudster / Scammer on: April 17, 2023, 09:16:40 PM
The easiest way I can identify a scammer when some one is marketing a project for me is the eagerness or persistence persuasive of that person to me most especially when it has to do with me getting profits from it. I believe if it is legit he will just introduce the product or project and leave me to my ignorance or will be optimistic that I will find out
913  Economy / Exchanges / Paxful suspends their Marketplace on: April 04, 2023, 04:06:32 PM
After so many weeks of struggling to allow withdrawals Paxful has officially suspends its marketplace and has advice it’s customers to withdraw their funds immediately from the exchange.

This is definitely a bad news to many especially Africans who were the major customers on this exchange. Is this the right time to ditch Centralized exchanges for decentralized one’s totally?

914  Economy / Currency exchange / Re: P2P Marketplace on: April 04, 2023, 03:30:53 PM
Few days ago Paxful was actually having issues but haven’t checked to see if the exchange is down. There are many Exchanges that offer P2P In different currencies it depends on your country. There’s KuCoin, Binance which are centralized exchanges then for KYC free exchanges there’s BISQ which is totally decentralized.

You could ask on your local board to check which is best suited for your country
