901  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin Vs Military Industrial Complex on: March 02, 2024, 01:25:11 PM

So if the military industrial complex collapses due to currency issues then the host nation of that currency will be like sitting ducks to other nations looking to invade it without facing defence resistance. So from here can we say that the US Government will do whatever it takes to save its $US dollar currency and the $US dollar will continue doing fine for many decades to come and if that's the case then how Bitcoin can shine in times like this when it is facing the US Government & the Feds Manipulation?

You pretty much answered your question, if the US dollar were to have an issue, we'll say with surety that the US government will find a way to save the dollar from crashing and being undervalued, I mean it's the USA, they must have thought about every possible scenerio if their precious dollar were to significantly dip. They undeniably have the best army in the world, and they'll do everything in their power to keep it that way.

Bitcoin is decentralized and it's not shackled by any country, including the US, it's doing just fine now, despite any manipulations, restrictions or bans in different countries, it'll always shine and soar higher despite any challenges along the way.
902  Economy / Economics / Re: Economy pressure on: March 02, 2024, 11:56:12 AM
The economic situation in Nigeria, presently is crazy, as the naira is devaluing, the prices of commodities are increasing everyday, causing economic hardship to the citizens. I know that citizens of some other countries are also facing similar economic hardships, especially developing and underdeveloped countries, this is why many of their citizens are finding means to migrate to developed countries where they can enjoy better standard of living. The governments of these countries needs to be proactive and find lasting solutions to stabilize their economies, that is why they're voted in power. Unfortunately most of the leaders of these countries are clueless and are more concerned about enriching themselves.
903  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Which of these betting Statements Do you Agree or Disagree With? on: March 02, 2024, 10:18:13 AM

1. Don't bet all your money on one bet.
2. Bet the same amount on every bet.
3. Don't bet more than once a day.
4. Don't bet every day.

These four options that you stated are subjective to individual gamblers preferences, one can be a no-go area for me and it'd be the best option for another gambler, so it depends on what works for every gambler. I'm not an active gambler, so options 2 and 4 will be more suitable for me, bet the same amount on every game, based on my budget and it's not necessary for me to bet everyday, as a past time gambler.

A devoted gambler can merge the four options, he'll just need to alternate them, by choosing any strategy that seems right at a perticular time, it's ok inasmuch as he's gambling responsibly.

905  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Work & work & work until you begin to break, is there no way out? on: March 02, 2024, 09:10:02 AM
Most people are struggling to make ends meet in most countries, it's either that they're overworked or just being paid a little extra or they're having a second job or a side hustle to be able to meet up with their basic expenditures, while prices of commodities keeps increasing everyday. Some unintentionally go into drug abuse, which can lead them to being addicts, due to the stressful demands of their jobs, they'll want to take a simple painkiller or some other drugs to reduce stress, as time goes on they'll unknowingly become addicted to these drugs, with time they'll be wanting more effective drugs, in the end it'll start affecting their health.

People are living in this rat race, especially in developing countries, overworking themselves and taking unprescribed drugs to ease their pains, that is why they're migrating in large numbers to developed countries, in search of better life.
906  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Is Satoshi Nakamoto's networth ever being rated? on: March 02, 2024, 08:17:22 AM
I wouldn't worry myself about the net worth of Satoshi Nakamoto, or whether it's an individual or a group, or why he choose to remain anonymous, I'm sure that he has a good reason for his choice. the important thing is that he, she or them was able to make a great impact in the world by creating something that has changed the naretive of transactions and investments, and it's adding value to people's finances everyday. I guess his anonymity will have to do with the privacy that comes with Bitcoin transactions, where the identity of a holder is not known, just like our identities in this forum.
907  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What is your strategy to win in this bull run? on: March 02, 2024, 07:03:31 AM
For me it simplifies a lot Smiley
- Target BTC $150000
- Target ETH $12000

Investment capital for
- BTC: 60%
- ETH: 20%
- Other

And of course these things are feasible for me, but may be a dream for others, please understand that our investment strategies are not the same. And even if it doesn't go according to plan on the timeline, that will still be the target that I will take profit.

My strategy for the bull run is similar to yours, my focus is from the top and most reputable, then down the hierarchy chain, this is because despite the hypes and potentials of making profits on the short term in most altcoins, I like to minimize my risks and stick to the  trusted coins in this bull season.

My arrangement is
Bitcoin: %80
Ethereum: 20
These are the two main focus for me in the bull run, Bitcoin investment in this bull run is a guarantee to give you over %100 returns on your investment, assuming you start hodling from today. Ethereum, is second to Bitcoin, and I'm putting my money in it, because I'm positive that it'll experience massive pump too in this bull season.
908  Local / Off-topic (Naija) / Re: Diversification is the only solution now on: March 01, 2024, 05:37:09 PM
Di Koko of di matter be say as di country be now, make we no just depend on only one source of income, because as di prices of goods and services de high everyday, money no de reach again, so diversification na good idea as di country be now. To invest in Bitcoin de very good, as di capital wey you take invest in am go de increase in value, so far you go leave am on long term, but dat one no go put food for your table everyday, therefore if e de possible make person get one side hustle take de support im income to fit survive for dis our economy.
909  Economy / Economics / Re: What is The Negative Effect of Inflation on Household Savings? on: March 01, 2024, 04:39:46 PM
If you live in a country where your local currency is not stable, meaning that the currency is devaluing then it's best not to leave your money in the bank, because if you do, the amount will still be the same, but the value of the money will be drastically reducing. If you withdraw money from the bank to make purchases, the same amount will keep purchasing lesser items everytime, so the account owner must find a better alternative to secure their money.

As far as I know and with crypto knowledge that I have, the best place to save your money that'll double as an investment for you is to hodle Bitcoin, it's a valuable asset that will keep increasing your capital, only that you need to hold it for a long term to be able to enjoy it's ROI. Alternatively the person can convert his money to stablecoins, to avoid inflation. Bonds are good, but I can only give advice on cryptocurrency areas that I'm knowledge.
910  Local / Politics and society (Naija) / Re: Law of gravity no de apply for di prices of goods inside Nigeria on: March 01, 2024, 03:49:36 PM
The price of goods won't reduce so soon, as the matter is not concluded and the economy is yet to becoming stable so no assurance of the country getting low prices on goods and services.  We just have to adapt till everything is put in place, the market value of dollars is already getting inflated against our Naira despite the so called tactics applied by the government yet no positive outcome

Nigeria, na country of opportunists, immediately marketers hear of any increase in prices of other items na so dem too go rush increase price, but if the reason for di prices of goods come correct itself dem go still de sale at high price to make too much profit at di detriment of dem fellow country people. Normally you go reason say na only prices of foreign goods wey concern dollar exchange go high in price, but locally made goods na im de cost pass now, as e be now evendo say naira begin de appreciate now, make we just get used to di high prices, because our business people like profit too much. I hope say after dis recession our government go help di masses to regulate prices of goods and services, just like dem de try do with cement manufacturers.
911  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: People are selling now, what are you keeping for later and which are you selling on: March 01, 2024, 12:59:18 PM
There are many conversations that I jumped into this morning, and i see a lot of people talking about the price increment in cryptocurrency generally. Bitcoin's upward price movement had also affected altcoins to follow suit. However, i created this topic because i know there are lots of investors here i want to know if you are investing in altcoins. Which of the altcoins can you sell now to take advantage of those sweet gains, and which of them are you leaving for better future profits? I had the belief that there are altcoins that have so much potential, and selling them off now won't do any better since they deserve to be held for a long time, just like bitcoin.

IMO, everything is just at the beginning of the bullish cycle, I'm still trying to accumulate more for the portfolio and rebuild my market access strategy. Each of us's investments will be different, so don't worry too much about other people's profits/losses. Some people like short-term activities and they can act on that choice, and so do those who do it. In the long term, they will also have their own strategies.

Although with altcoins I have also made a bit of profit, and I also have thoughts about an upcoming correction in the market and the emergence of good buying opportunities, but everything is speculation and one should be ready for any scenario.

Every indications points that we're entering a very profitable bull season, so far you're holding a reputable crypto, now is not a time to even contemplate selling, you should just continue accumulating and hurdling till we see a new ATH in Bitcoin. Except if an investor is holding a project for short term or if he's not confident that Bitcoin will impact it to be more profitable in bull run, then he can sale and hopefully enjoy whatever he can get now. I think that it'll be premature to sale any top altcoin that you're hodling, because massive ROI awaits those who can wait.
912  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Mom won 50,000$ in Lottery on: March 01, 2024, 10:41:41 AM
I'm very happy for her, it's one in a million chance to win big in lottery, many people will keep buying lottery tickets till they get old and never win anything substantial, lottery should depend on %100 luck to win, whether it's small amount or the jackpot, unless if there's a way that the lottery companies manipulates wins.

I hope that she invests a large potion of the win in a profitable investment that'll be giving her ROI, so that she doesn't go broke in the next couple of years. I've heard stories of people who won big in gambling and in a few years they become broke, probably because they started living luxurious lifestyles immediately they their win, forgetting that money can finish. It pays to be financially educated.
913  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: From today; 28.02.2024 - How low do you think the coming BTC dip will be..?? on: March 01, 2024, 10:01:23 AM

But why think of the dip if we're not yet on the bear market?

There's still a long way to go for this bullish market to thrive so enjoy every phase of it.

My thoughts too, why worry about the dip or how low it'll go when we're not entering the bear run yet, there's so much to look forward to in this bull run that's building up. Along the way to Bitcoin price pump to it's estimated $100k and above mark, I know that there can be some minor dips along the way, but it'll not affect it's journey to reaching a new ATH before we'll start thinking of when a major dip will occur. When the dip eventually occurs after the bull season, if it hits $100k and above, then I don't see price dumping bellow $40k in bear run.
914  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Imprisonment on LGBTQ on victim your thought on: March 01, 2024, 08:24:07 AM
It's no longer news that Africa have been condemning the practice of LGBTQ over the years but have not sanction defaulter, I was reading the news  l saw one Africa country parliament passing bills to purnish any who is victim to LGBTQ.
This this thrilled my mind to discuss this in the board if the government is doing the right thing based on Africa way if believe and practice or taken wrong direction. You can read through this link for more information
https://www.aljazeera.com/news/2024/2/28/ghanas-parliament-passes-anti-lgbtq-bill

Government decision is based on the yearnings and aspirations of the people. These anti-gay laws were approved by the legislatures which are the representatives of the citizens which means the majority of the people support the crackdown on the gay community. For me I will want people to live freely as they like, sadly this is not the case. I will advise the gay community to move to more friendly nations or consider going through reparative therapy. These nations that are promoting gay practice should open up their borders to accept these people to shield them from persecution.

If the vast majority of citizens in a country doesn't support a practice, then the few minority that supports it will be seen as outcasts, so the solution for LGBTQ community that lives in a country where they are a small minority and are persecuted is to seek asylum in friendly countries that accepts their way of life. Modernization has allowed people to be what they want to be and if their country cannot guarantee this, then the best option is to leave the country.

I personally don't like or encourage LGBTQ practice or lifestyle, but I must respect them and their decisions, because we're free to make our own choices in life and live with it.
915  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Bitcoin Mistakes?? on: March 01, 2024, 07:18:47 AM
Being new to the world of digital finance,  I think a great way to start and excel is by gathering information from the experienced here, on the biggest mistakes you have made, and things to do and avoid. I really think that'd be a big plus for an upcoming investor like myself.

I'll start with the biggest mistake I've ever made regarding crypto, that is being skeptical by not being one of the early investors in Bitcoin, I was told about it but just like many people I thought that it was a scam.

Don't hodle your crypto coins in centralized exchanges, because they can be hacked and you'd lose your funds, it's said that if it's not your keys, it's not your coins, the safest place to hodle your crypto coins is in a none custodial wallet.

All that glitters is not gold, there are more scam projects than legit ones in the crypto market, so carry out a thorough research before investing in any crypto coin, I can only advice you to start with a reputable crypto like Bitcoin.
916  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What are your expectations on ICE Network in the future? on: March 01, 2024, 06:17:38 AM

It's a good choice if you can hold up your investment for almost the end of this year or maybe a half year more. But if you're looking for short term profits it can be a very good option if you're skills are upto the mark and you know how to take the profits out but due to its volatility it's very risky too.

ICE Network is a very risky project. I saw news about them spread a lot in crypto groups and several news media. They succeeded in attracting investor interest with the offers they provided. But I agree with what you said. I think Ice network is not suitable if you are a long-term holder. These projects are very volatile and to be honest I haven't seen any fundamentals or real use cases for them. Is this project the same as Pi Network??

I pertcipatad in their mobile mining app when they just started, at a time, due to other engagements, I got bored clicking the ice, anyway I'm for those that perceverared and got their airdrop rewards. I presently don't have the interest to invest in their token, my primary interest now is to continue accumulating and hodlng my long term project, which is Bitcoin. As far as Ice, goes, I believe that it can be profitable in the short term that we're entering bull season, just like other advertised projects.
917  Local / Politics and society (Naija) / Law of gravity no de apply for di prices of goods inside Nigeria on: February 29, 2024, 04:25:55 PM
Due to di recent revelations wey CBN de unravel now about how plenty illegal money take de stash and pass through Binance, and I come see one report wey dem list some bank owners and some respected entrepreneurs, say dem de collect money for CBN and dem go default payment. I de reason say na dis latest developments na im make naira come gain small value, e bin de get out of hand to reach about 2000 naira to 1 US dollar, but as e be now, di exchange rate don drop to approximately 1400 naira to 1 US dollar.

If CBN put dem acts together and we come begin to see naira appreciation, meaning say our currency go begin gain value, dat one go be good news for most Nigerians.

How di naira to dollar matter take concern dis thread be say, normal normal if any currency begin appreciate, e suppose cause di prices of goods and services to de come down. But with my experience for dis country as a Nigerian, anytime wey prices go up, e no de fit to come down, even if di price go come down na insignificant money dem go comot. So if naira continue to appreciate, you think say e go make prices of goods to de reduce?
918  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin Price Rally Ahead: Tom Lee's Visionary Prediction Foresees $150,000 on: February 29, 2024, 02:18:13 PM
In the start of this year, I was modestly predicting Bitcoin price to reach $100k around the peak of bull run, but with the events of the past few days, I now tend to believe in a higher figure, it's happening quite fast and I hope that it keeps this momentum. I was thinking that it's after the halving, when Bitcoin supply will be cut in half that the scarcity will fuel price increase, but I'm quite surprised that it didn't wait for halving to start this high pump, which makes me to be wondering more if we'll continue to see this price progression immediately after halving. What is sure is that we'll experience an explosive ATH in this bull season.
919  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Just hodl, bitcoin will do the silencing. on: February 29, 2024, 01:22:49 PM
It's said that success is everybody's father, but failure is a bastard, meaning that everybody wants to affiliate themselves with success, while nobody wants to associate with failures, this is what is happening in the case of Bitcoin, now that it's value is fast rising many people who where skeptical about it in the bast are now adopting it.

The president of El Salvador, Bukele, is now seen as a hero, because the asset that he invested his country's money in, is now yielding profit for them, so his critics are now quiet, I hope that other countries, corporations, companies and individuals, will learn something from this president and trust Bitcoin to be the asset that it's value will keep increasing and being more profitable in the future.
920  Economy / Economics / Re: Murphy backing gold standard bill on: February 29, 2024, 12:32:11 PM
The idea of using gold to pay for goods and services sounds very interesting, unfortunately we can't carry it around in our pockets, also holding it's ATM that you can use to make purchases is equally interesting. For it's usage to be effective, it has to be widely used and accepted by both buyers and sellers, and I guess that'll be possible if governments adopt it as an alternative means of payments in their countries, that it can be widely used by people in their country. For instance Bitcoin that it's adoption is increasing everyday is rarely used for payments, it's basically to hodle for investment purposes, so for both Bitcoin or gold currencies to be effectively used to pay for goods and services, in a country, it's government will have to adopt either of them first.
