You definitely should speak to your team and think about where to exclude promos such as this. The goal of the promo should be for users to post on forums or platforms where you don't already have a presence. You already have a topic here, so these users should know that if they post a load of spam shit on this forum, they could lead to you guys getting possible punishment such as perma banned.

You might also let users know that they need to learn how to read rules as the 2 idiots, yes i said idiots, cannot count to 350. I'm all for someone earning something for a little work, but they gotta do it properly.

Thank you for the feedback. I have already had a conversation with my team, and we will take some action against it. We should have thought about the possible negative impact as well. But what is done is done; we cannot roll back.

No problem, looks like the admins are already deleting the threads made by the guys for the promotion. I wouldn't say your promotion was bad, you just need to work on the rules a little more and try to gain exposure without spamming any forum or platforms. Every platform is going to have an issue if suddenly 20 people show up making a thread about a company.
902  Economy / Reputation / Re: Should Ratimov be in DT1? on: October 22, 2023, 09:24:23 PM
I could care less if ratimov is or isn't in DT, but I do have a question for you. Would you care if he didn't - you? There are so many that have made DT due to the new system that do not really belong there, but you are not complaining about them, only the 1 who tagged you.

I'm not trying to discredit anything you wrote and i'll be honest, I didn't read it all as it's just too much. Did you try to solve your issue before making this topic?
903  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Why do members switch campaigns always? on: October 22, 2023, 04:25:38 PM
and in the signature campaign @yahoo62278 uses a rule for selected participants to get 1 merit/week,if you can't get it you can still get half the payment.
I didn't know about that rule. Getting at least one merit shouldn't be difficult even for decent posters, let alone the best ones but I still don't like it. Regardless of what anyone says, getting merits is also a popularity contest and it greatly depends on where the person posts the most. Those posts could be merit-worthy, but because they are in subs where there aren't any merit sources or the person isn't very likable by the community for whatever reason, they might not even get that one merit a week. That doesn't necessarily mean their posts weren't good enough. Besides, the campaign got the promotion they wanted and so they should pay for it in full, not half.

The rule was 1 I was trying out, Compared to what some of the other managers require to even be accepted, I don't think it's a bad ask from participants. Trying to give some of the people who get passed over a chance to grow.

Regardless, you are semi correct. I do feel like merit is a popularity contest. It's totally worthless for Legendary members, just bragging rights yet you see Legendary members getting merited for everything.
904  Economy / Reputation / Re: "Bitcointalk" is part of my family living life & my "Baby birthday celebration" on: October 22, 2023, 03:27:45 PM
Bitcointalk is a source of income for many in the world. I'm glad the forum has been able to provide you with a way to support your family. I would look for other sources of income to add to the income the forum provides you so you can start to save some money. Happy Birthday to your girl as well!!

906  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What's your nice hit to leave the casino. on: October 22, 2023, 02:05:49 PM
As a gambler, from when I leave the house down to the casino prior to getting there I normally project specific amount that should I probably hit am turning around to leave for home immediately. And am quite sure am ain't the only one who have for one  had this plan thought wrapped in his head, some persons might have too.

Just in case, what amount will be looking like a nice hit for you to leave a casino just immediately for maybe your first, second or third hit on the machine as you have just walked in?
I don't set any sort of win/loss limit if i'm going to a live casino. I'm going out to have fun most of the time. Usually if I am about even after a couple hours out of the house, I will call it a night and go home happy. It's all about the entertainment for me, not the money to be made as it's tough to beat the casino.

For anyone interested, Tuesday is the Nuggets ring ceremony, and they will be playing the Lakers. It's actually a good night of basketball as you have that game and also a little later the Suns take on the Warriors. Should be 2 really good games worth the watch.

909  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: I think gambling is inbuilt, kids don't learn it anywhere, they do it! on: October 21, 2023, 10:31:32 PM
The Australian Government once said about abolishing gambling ads as a means of reducing gambling activities amongst underage people. But, I think they'll be no successful way of stopping young people from gambling. As it's in them. Most articles here also say things like gambling addiction being hereditary. That means gambling can be hereditary as well. Because I just watched from a distant two kids below 10 years, staking bets, after a long argument about who the artiste of a specific song is. They later staked close to 40 cents each, for the person who gets the answer right. Then they went ahead to verify. And I lost sight of them. I thought about, how come or who thought these kids about betting money during a long argument. I was able to memorize, back when I was a kid. We easily said, how much would you bet if it turns out I'm saying the truth; during an argument. It made me understand that, despite during those days we had no phones or access to the internet, gambling is somehow embedded to the brain of humans. Then, as a child, we weren't exposed to gambling. I could only remember of lotto, as a kid. But we still said things like "let's bet it"
You can ban gambling ads all you want but people will still have access to know about gambling. Anyone who visits twit h, YouTube, kick, tiktok, bitcointalk, or 1000 other sites will be able to find out about gambling.

It's actually silly for any government to try to erase gambling from their citizens minds. Would be better to just inform the people of the risks and help them to understand what they could lose.
910  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: A Nigeria socialite went all in on this sport bet on: October 21, 2023, 05:29:23 PM
What's the big deal? You think because he is someone that he will influence others to bet? Isn't that what todays society is all about? There are influencers for everything. Hot tub girls, celebrities playing slots, video games, poker, and darn near everything else in the world.

Basically if a guy has the money, no matter who they are, they should be allowed to make a bet if they want.
911  Other / Archival / Re: Crypto Luxury Store on: October 21, 2023, 03:58:57 PM
I had sites as well in the past, and the advertisers kept asking exaggerated amounts, and they asked 20.000$ before to post in Forbes, they took the money and left without posting anything. What do to in these cases? moral of story: Don't pay your advertisers before or any huge amount  Grin
Pretty bad moral of the story. Advertisers do not guarantee you will get purchases. Advertisers are paid to get the word out about your product, nothing more. If your service or product are good, you will get sales. If it is not, then it's not the advertisers fault.
912  Economy / Reputation / Re: Recently woke up asking for a loan on: October 21, 2023, 03:17:18 PM
This is where I would send the user a pm and ask them to sign a message and prove ownership of the account. Some may even consider a neutral/Neg tag until some answers are provided. Pretty sure lenders with half a brain would make the users verify himself in some way before considering a loan though. Shasan isn't a dummy and neither are the rest of the regular lenders.

Most likely a sold or hacked account though. Guy asked for a loan and logged out 20 mins later or so. Prob won't see them again for another 2 years.
913  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Answer this Question on Credits Left on a Slot Machine by Someone Else on: October 21, 2023, 03:01:18 PM
Normally people leave little cashout vouchers by machines all the time. They are usually less than a dollar. If you find a bigger amount, say $200 I would take it to the management and let them decide what to do with it. They may go check the cameras and find the original owner of the ticket, or they may say finders keepers. You never know.
914  Other / Meta / Re: My suggestion on how to reduce the spam problem in gambling board, what's yours? on: October 20, 2023, 07:23:59 PM

Let's say your client is willing to spend 2000$ / week. Let's say it's around 400 posts per week (I'm just taking a guess here).
What is the difference for your client between :
20 users who will struggle by making shitposts : 20 (users) * 20 (posts) = 400 posts.
40 users who will relax and make useful (and read) posts : 40 (users) * 10 (posts) = 400 posts.
That's still 400 posts, but probably a lot less shitposts.

If all campaigns do not follow the same standard/protocol then you will end up with hiring lesser quality posters. All your decent posters are not going to apply for a campaign just because they have less posts to make weekly unless the pay is the same and that's probably not going to be the case. Half the posts = half the pay and we all know that everyone chases the dollar here.

915  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: How Much do you Value your Privacy in Gambling? on: October 20, 2023, 03:48:38 PM
I personally dislike KYC as it is way too invasive. I would rather sign up for a casino, deposit, play and win or lose, be able to wd if I won. We have seen many examples of casinos not keeping our info safe, so there's no way I am giving them anything.

I would choose not to play on a casino if KYC is mandatory.
916  Other / Meta / Re: My suggestion on how to reduce the spam problem in gambling board, what's yours? on: October 20, 2023, 12:42:27 PM
When we started asking users to make 5-10 posts per week in the gambling section(myself and Hhampuz), we were not thinking of the spam it might cause. We were thinking of casinos that were opening campaigns and where posts would be the most helpful for them. There were plenty of topics with lots of ongoing discussion, that it didn't feel like it was going to lead to the mess it has caused today.

I think because of these requirements, users feel in a rush to make posts in the gambling sections, but they pay no attention to if they are doing it correctly. Then, while posting a new topic in the wrong section, they make the post and do not participate in the discussion.

Managers need to crack down on the spam. Remove members that 1. cannot post in the correct section and 2. make a new topic and abandon it. I might also think the requirement of posting in gambling sections needs to be rethought. Maybe something like a bonus for posting in the gambling section as long as its done correctly. Something def needs to change or we are going to see more shit threads like:

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5469933.0

The list goes on and on and these probably aren't the best examples but you guys can see what i'm talking about. Just random silly questions to get post quota.

Not to be a pain in anyone's ass (DireWolfM14), but could we get a list of the people and their team in the OP?

Burrowhead = yahoo62278

Eli-2 Brady-0 = ?

Hueristic's Barbarians = Hueristic

Bit Bowlers = Nutildah

Ayahuasca Brewers = DireWolfM14

Moon Coiners = suchmoon

New England Potatoes = morvillz7z

twentiwan = Hhampuz

ChiBitCTy = ChiBitCTy

seek n destr0yers' = seek3r

Saylor Jerkers = ?

South Park Cows = South Park

1 is bbc other is wheelz obviously. A list helps in case we want to propose a trade on here. Yes I know we can propose a trade on the app as well. Don't yell at me lol.

Saylor Jerkers should be bbc.reporter and our poor wheelz1200 team is called Eli-2 Brady-0.
Both have been very unlucky so far but there is enough time or games to get the season going. It would be more exciting for everyone if we were closer together when it came to our records.

So DireWolf! Finally start losing Cheesy
Thanks, edited my list and DireWolf's cheating ass can post the list if he wants lmao.

919  Economy / Lending / Re: Short-Term Loan and I know I’m new but… on: October 19, 2023, 05:33:32 AM
You will not get a loan here without the proper collateral. Users don't just hand out free money to anyone who asks. You have nothing to lose, and nothing to make you repay a loan if anyone was dumb enough to hand you the money.

Your story also makes me question you. You have no money, but hired someone to get you info? Info on what? Who bought the storage unit? You cannot pay for your storage monthly(which costs less than $100 monthly normally), but in 30 days you will have $2500+interest LMAO. Cmon man.

You mention you have a car, but how will a lender get your car to hold from you?
920  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Poker coming to stake.com in the near future ! on: October 19, 2023, 04:21:13 AM

On yesterday's stream Eddie said Poker should and will be coming to stake some time soon.
He didn't mention a specific time though.

I think that's a great idea. They basically get risk free money through collecting the rake. Having a super big player base this would be a HUGE opportunity for stake and for their players.

For people with skill at poker that might become a lucrative site. Many degen gamblers that just lost with casino games and sports might "try their luck" at poker, fishing time.  Grin

Question is though, will they make their own poker software/network where only stake players will be able to play or will they join a network like ipoker, ggpoker, 888 and so on.
My best guess that they will keep it in house because KYC is not mandatory. Some abusers might want to run up some amounts on sports/casino and the chip dump it to somebody on a different site through shared network.

Anyway, I think it's a nice idea. Poker with crypto still is WAY too small.
Let's hope they can create a fun and safe environment with a lot of different poker variations like NLH, PLO, Stud games, Chinese Poker and so on.

Hopefully they are asking the players for their input when creating this! And please, make some moderate rake.  Grin

While I would love to see a truly successful crypto poker site, I'm not sure there are enough people around the world who could make it as popular as something like PokerStars or GGPoker. Those sites are successful, having thousands of players even at the low points of the day, but the fact they are fiat based just gives them a much higher audience. The fact is many people still do not have any interest in crypto nor want to mix it into the gambling mix. Those that do have crypto usually have it with the intention of holding on long term or using it for a particular purpose besides gambling. It will also take a huge effort, which will be greatly helped by their existing player base they can direct there, in order to reach that self sustaining critical mass of players.
While I agree with most of what you say, I kind of wonder how true our thinking actually is. I get bored from time to time and used to explore Twitch streamers, now Kick streamers since certain sites were banned on the platform.

If there are not thousands of users interested in crypto, then why are there 10s of thousands of viewers on some of these streamers like Adin Ross or Trainwrecks? Why would sites waste their money hiring these big named streamers, or having sponsorships with sports personas, or even waste money paying for advertising?

I think there are more people interested in crypto than we think and we just have to stay vigilant in spreading the word. Get people engaged and show them that crypto is here to stay. That along with new ways to use their crypto(such as poker) will be the way to get more and more interested in crypto.

I hope this launch happens soon and I hope it goes well. I feel like poker is much easier to make money on vs all the other games a casino may offer.
