901  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: NFL Sportsbet.io discussion & predications thread rev on: November 02, 2023, 10:11:52 PM
Lions won easily versus the Raiders last night as expected.
That Raiders game was tight at the start because the Lions couldn't get anything but FGs until the near end of the half after the Raiders got the first TD.

The match for today seems like a battle of the defense as the Steelers are one of the teams that shines more through their defense and the bookies expect it as well due to the low totals(36.5). The Titans still have the potential to take this game away from the Steelers, but everything points to the home team winning when I think they are doing slightly better in offense and defense than the Titans. The Steelers also have impressive wins against teams that I think they shouldn't be winning against and it's why i'll be backing them today to cover at least three points.

902  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Do you use multiple platforms for betting? on: November 02, 2023, 04:00:08 PM
What are your thoughts on this? When you bet with crypto do you find it easier or harder to fund multiple accounts? Because I am getting a sense that crypto bettors are more compelled to shop around a lot more, but only until they find a bookmakers that fits their needs, and then they will hardly move any funds to other platforms. Surely thete must be some reasons behind this or even some very different takes. What are your thoughts?
It depends on the situation because there are times that i'll be using altcoins and the withdrawal fee doesn't cost much so you can quickly withdraw your balance within a minute to make the switch. If i'm using BTC to place bets, then i'll most likely stick with the sportsbook because switching from one to another would cause me to lose more when the fees are significantly higher than altcoin fees. The difference in odds isn't always significant, but I recommend shopping for the best odds until it becomes a habit because it'll help later once you have a bigger bankroll.

Besiktas vs Gazianterp?

I want United to win but just in case the unexpected happen again  Roll Eyes
Yes, that was the MOTD the other day, and congrats on the win. I almost went for the BTTS on that match, but I still lost the other bet.  Tongue

Today's MOTD is for the Euroleague, and it's best to pass up on this because Fenerbahce can always have a bad start, and the homecourt advantage might not matter as much when looking back at the previous Euroleague MOTD.

904  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Online Casino Promotions Poll on: November 02, 2023, 01:44:32 AM
I picked the "others" in the poll because I prefer a promotion or reward system similar to what Stake offers with their VIP and ryzaadit mentioned the type of rewards you could obtain from their VIP. You'll even see other casinos offer a similar way of rewarding their players because that's how effective their system has become. If that doesn't fall under the others, my next choice would be tournaments and contests. I sometimes find betting competitions enjoyable as long as they're not mainly about wagering but more about hitting a specific objective.
905  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Beginner needs your advices in gambling. on: November 01, 2023, 10:13:24 PM
Do you think Me starting gambling would effect me in my real life or make me addicted to gambling. What’s you suggestion and advices.
Without knowing all the details on your side, we can only speculate, and i'd say gambling is more likely going to make you addicted before you become lucky enough to win big and affect your life significantly.

Starting with a low budget is great, but you need to remove those high expectations in gambling because most of the time, you have to go through so many losses and you have to prepare against those scenarios when they are usually the trigger point for an addiction.
906  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Sportsbet.io Betting discussion thread rev on: November 01, 2023, 04:10:36 PM
I would've taken one of those CHTV lines if I saw them earlier today.

Unfortunately, I already placed a bet on Arsenal to win @1.99, I didn't get this at the best odds, as it sometimes shifts above +100. Anyway, this is more of a bet against West Ham since they're not in the best shape, recently losing their last three matches.

Not sure if it is because the teams don't fully use their available lineups for these games or it's because of the over confidence of certain matchups with the bigger teams going up against the country-smaller ones.
Yup, that is mostly what happens. Some teams will only field a few of their usual starters because they still have to play a league match in the next few days.
907  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Most you have ever lost in one session? on: November 01, 2023, 03:06:45 PM
What is the most money you have ever lost in one session? could be land base casino or crypto casino.

mine was $200,000 on Stake.com 2 weeks ago
The biggest that i've lost in one sitting was probably around $1k and I remember it started because I had a bad streak of losses and it only got worse as I didn't accept my losses at the time. Then again, those mostly came from winnings because there used to be a lot of great promotions offered by casinos during the holiday season.

On the bright side, losing on Stake means you could still claim a small portion of your losses through their VIP bonuses.
908  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Is this how it start? (No or yes?) on: November 01, 2023, 02:34:06 AM
As long you keep tabs on your gambling budget, then you should be able to stop it from starting. It only happened once, so I wouldn't worry about it being the start of a gambling addiction and at least you're aware of what you did wrong. I sometimes deposit more than once because I always deposit as little as possible rather than go big in one sitting, which can cause overspending. I also experience those unlucky days, and it's okay to make another deposit if it's still within your budget.
909  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Is the cash-out feature only available in sports bets? on: November 01, 2023, 01:07:51 AM
Aside from Stake's mines game, you can also find the cashout feature in their hilo and crash games. The others already mentioned the main reason why most casinos don't use it in their games and it's due to the way these games work. It's unnecessary, and most games don't have an in-between point similar to a crash game where you can cash out during the process.
910  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: NBA 2023-2024 betting on: October 31, 2023, 11:13:38 PM
Mitchell is currently listed as questionable, but I have a hunch that he'll play. Therefore, I'm leaning toward taking the +3.5 early. It's possible that the odds could shift in favor of the Knicks if Mitchell indeed plays. Regardless, I believe that Cleveland will put in a strong effort, especially since they haven't secured a home win this season, and it would be their third consecutive home loss if they don't step up.
The odds have started shifting to the Cavs now that Mitchell is confirmed to be playing so now the match could be a toss-up if Mitchell performs well.

I'm still backing up the Knicks to win because the Cavs are still without their other key players. The only part I don't like about this bet is the Knicks are one of the teams that usually disappoint me whenever I bet on these guys.

911  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Sportsbet.io Betting discussion thread rev on: October 31, 2023, 05:07:15 PM
I missed the last two football MOTD that somehow won and tomorrow's MOTD might end the streak as they're offering the cup game between Newcastle and Man United.

Several cup games will start within a few hours and I made this small double multi with a total of 2.1 odds. I'm only putting a small unit on this since these types of matches always have a bunch of favorites performing worse than expected.

Edit: Parlay lost, St Pauli won but it required extra time to find their second goal.
912  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Between Profit And Conscience on: October 31, 2023, 01:38:22 AM
He thinks that with the lotto outlet, he will encourage people to gamble which is against his morals so it is a battle between his conscience and the profit.

So what's the best decision to take he is afraid if he lets go of this opportunity the lotto agent will eventually find a location in their place and eventually lose the opportunity to make a profit.
The other posts from the previous pages already mentioned some good points. It'll depend on your friend's financial situation because if money isn't the main issue, it might be worth waiting longer to see what other offers show up.

Then again, as you've mentioned, finding a replacement won't be a problem for the lotto agent, so i'd say it's mostly your friend missing out on a potentially long-term source of income when you also pointed out that lotto is popular in your country.
913  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ⭐⚽⭐ Sportsbet's Bitcointalk Sports Fanatics League (BSFL) – 10000$ rewards ⭐⚽⭐ on: October 31, 2023, 12:40:33 AM
I see that more than half of the team in Division 2 already have their logo and it's starting to look like the ones I usually see in live scores. Cheesy

By the way in addition to DOTA questions would there be questions related to the games of Riot Games in the future? I would like to see questions about this topic very much as League of Legends and Valorant are also games with so many followers and spectators
I'm also hoping we'd have a Worlds question in one of the next few rounds since their playoffs would last around three weeks, with the semis and finals scheduled every weekend.
914  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Sportsbet.io ⚾ Major League Baseball (MLB) ⚾ [Discussion thread] on: October 31, 2023, 12:03:22 AM
I noticed that today's MOTD would be the Diamondbacks vs Rangers and caught the markets with only a few minutes left before it gets taken down.

I had to back the Diamondbacks here as they field Pfaadt, who looked impressive during his start against the Phillies. Hopefully, the over won't ruin the ticket as this series might be due for an under after going over in the last two matches.

915  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: My $50,000 betting goal by 2024. Share Your Thoughts With Me. on: October 30, 2023, 03:45:02 PM
What are your thoughts on these strategies to assist me in achieving my $50,000 betting goal by 2024?
Most promotions and bonuses won't give you much profit, and that big of a goal might require a big bankroll. IMO it's too big of a goal even if you have several strategies to help you slowly make your way through it and the time frame makes the goal unrealistic. I've seen others hit their betting goal mostly without a time frame, so if you're serious about hitting that goal, you might have to remove the time limit because there's no need to rush things and put pressure on yourself when it could hinder you from reaching it.

What an end to our h2h, I thought i'm about to get my first loss until I saw my opponent didn't take the Dota question seriously to even up the scoreline and steal a point.

It's nice to see MLB in the mix this week, and hopefully, I picked the right team because in MLB, there's no such thing as the favorites.  Tongue
917  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What according to you should be the age to retire from gambling ? on: October 30, 2023, 01:44:38 AM
We've had a recent thread that asked a similar question and you already answered your question. To me, there shouldn't be a specific age for gamblers to retire from gambling when it's one of the few activities they enjoy and look forward to. Instead of age, time might be the better way to answer the question because change can happen at any time and gambling can become less entertaining than it used to be if you suddenly find other hobbies more entertaining than gambling.
918  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [banned mixer] 🦁 Fantasy Premier League Pool ⚽ Discussion Thread on: October 30, 2023, 12:47:42 AM
I thought i'll go down a few spots in the rankings once again but the automatic substitution saved me from losing a few points after one of my five midfielders didn't start.

I tried to be cute and captain Watkins as I like playing around with whoever is facing Luton, that's 13pts down the drain from Haaland  Embarrassed
Same here, I always have Haaland as my captain and recently removed it because he's been getting not many points these past couple of rounds and now I missed 9-10 points for picking a different captain.  Tongue
919  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: NFL Sportsbet.io discussion & predications thread rev on: October 30, 2023, 12:02:52 AM
Shit odds but that's what you get when you score in 16 consecutive games, this dude is unreal. Also, 49ers need to better that two-game skid.
Congrats on cashing that CMC ATTD slip, but the 49ers still can't end their losing streak after the Bengals held them off to one TD per half.

I'll opt for the team totals on today's SNF as I don't have the confidence to go for the spread or totals, thinking it could go either way when the Bears are starting to show up in their past few matches. Two TDs in the first half shouldn't be too hard of a task for the Chargers when they're one of the better teams at scoring TDs.

Edit: The bet hits in the first quarter.  Cheesy
