I just want to say this is a great project and it's working well so far. I am thinking about switching back simply because of the 5% fee, it is just too big for Bitcoin. If you were to cut back to 3% I think many more people would use your service.
I understand that it's high, but currently we're paying 2.1% fees to the Bitcoin network when sending transactions plus everything we're paying for servers. It's simply not a cheap business. I think it would be possible to lower the fees if we'd place ads on our faucets list. What do you think about it?

New FiaB version: https://static.faucetbox.com/download/faucetinabox/faucetinabox-r25.zipIt'll try to connect without cURL if it fails. It fixed the problem in my test environment, but I think it won't fix the problem for everybody yet. It looks like some versions of OpenSSL just try to use SSLv3 no matter what (while the server only accepts TLS), and SSL is already broken and insecure.
|
|
|
It looks like in most cases it's a problem with a broken cURL. I'm now preparing a version that doesn't use it, which (hopefully) should fix these problem for some people. Please be patient.

If it connects to CloudFlare then of course it's not DNS related anymore. I will look into that.

Hello, I'm not able to support everyone here on Bitcointalk. Please send emails to support@faucetbox.com, it'll be much easier this way. Hovewer, as it's written on https://faucetbox.com/en/faucetinabox , Faucet in a Box script was written for at least PHP 5.4, so you use it on PHP 5.2 on your own risk. The DNS TTL was 48 hours, so problems related to that should be gone by tomorrow.

How i configurate the new DNS Codes, because my faucet isn't working.
If you have access to /etc/hosts file on your server, you can try to append something like this to it: 104.28.28.86 faucetbox.com 104.28.28.86 static.faucetbox.com
But I really don't recommend it. It's best to wait until it updates on itself. I have not had a payment since they started the server move. I can't even check my balance on the site.
Prior to the move, it was paying fine.
Send me your bitcoin address and I'll check if everything is good. I have the FaucetBOX Script for my site, but it doesn´t worked for me to change to this:
Try setting "$display_errors = true;" in config.php. Does it show any errors? Check out these faucet visitor stats:
Total accumulated -0.00019858 BTC Progress till payout -153%
The "Balance Correction for double transaction" seems to have screwed everything up. I'm guessing a -150% progress means if there are 1.5x visits to all the faucets visited so far the progress will be at 0%.
You've been paid twice, so I had to deduce it from the balance. You only have to collect 0.00019858 BTC on faucets to be at 0%. It's 153% of the minimum 0.00013 BTC, not "all so far". It's getting late, so I won't respond till tomorrow.

Kazuldur:
You paid twice by mistake.
Now, you have discounted us the total of those two times.
Therefore, there is a missing payment.
I hope you solve this.
Please contact us via support@faucetbox.com. I believe that there's no missing payment, but I need your addresses to do the calculations.

Thank you NeedIfFindIt. Here it is: Plumber FB Diagnostic Tool 0.9b by NeedIfFindIt ... DNS Response: 185.25.151.163 ...
I am more confused now. Banned ?? I don't know why he called this 'Banned', but 185.25.151.163 is the old IP address. You have to wait until your DNS update our IP. Update: registration is fixed, I'm working now on fixing the double transaction.
|
|
|
But that's because it uses the Cloudflare nameservers. Real IP of Faucetbox.com is 185.25.151.163. He have other sites running in that ip.
This is not the current FaucetBOX.com server. You can only access current FaucetBOX.com server through CloudFlare IPs. There are also some DB encoding issues. Roman-САТОШ became Roman-? ?? I'll check that. I'm aware of this. However I'll not able to do anything for a few hours, please be patient.

Update guys. I believe the migration is complete and the tests went fine. FaucetBOX.com should work again as soon as DNS updates. At least I hope so
|
|
|
I'll make admin panel work without connection right after I migrate FaucetBOX.com to a new server
|
|
|
When the server comes back I'll take down all fees to 2% for 24h.

I'm working on a solution.

If I delay my payments for doge for example it affects on all currencies? And if yes could you do delays for each currency separately?
It only affects the address you've delayed it on, so it's separate for each currency. I think it's very easy for the owner of a service like this, empty a faucet using multiple bitcoin addresses. I'm not saying he's doing this. But I do say that there should be a way to prove that this is not being done. This is just a comment. Sometimes we are very naive (me first). How can we prove that this does not happen?
You can prove it by: 1. checking if your site stats match the number of your faucet's users. It should be roughly the same. 2. checking number of users saved in your faucets database and comparing it with what FaucetBOX.com reports However it may give false positives. For example Google Analytics will only count users with JavaScript enabled and if you use reCaptcha then people without JavaScript can still claim coins, so there may be some differences. Although if these are okay then the only way I could empty your faucet is like everyone else, which means lots of IP addresses and lots of time to solve captchas Seen this? Mysterious
Have you been ddosing microwallet? Your site is cool and innovative, but you should play by the rules and not resort to ddos
What can I say... We didn't ddos anyone. I believe that our service is better than Microwallet. Lots of people were already tired with them, Microwallet future were uncertain in past few months, so I really don't have to do anything to Microwallet to compete with them. I'm just giving what I think is a good service BTW long-standing DDoS attacks aren't that cheap, I don't believe it's worthy to DDoS anyone in faucet business. And as far as I know, if a site is DDoSed, most of the time it would be totally unreachable. And Microwallet is reachable, they just don't payout too often, so I doubt that there was any DDoS at all.

That's exactly how it works . Is there any way to check user's address balance via API? or this can be done only through parsing "faucetbox.com/en/check/address" page? For now that's only possible via parsing the page. Would you want to display it to user after sending him coins? If so, then I think we can implement something like this in the API, but not in the next 2 weeks or so (we have hands full of work).

can i only have 1 faucet per account?
You can have as many faucets as you want, especially you can have multiple currencies, although you will be able to submit only one faucet to our list and users will see their payments coming from your main faucet. However we will fix that next week

UPD2, FIXED: for all the faucet-making noobs like me: you just have to go to each faucet you've listed with your affiliate link, and collect all your referral payouts manually, entering your address and getting your regular faucet payment + all the referral earnings from all of your referred users in FaucetBOX balance. That's exactly how it works .

Fixed in r20, thanks for the report! The fix works great thanks You forgot to change the $version = "19"; to $version = "20"; at line 12 in the the main index.php file, so it keeps telling you to upgrade even with the new files uploaded, unless that is changed. Thanks again! Fixed, thanks

When the reward is 10 Doge, the site says: 1 DOGE was sent to your FaucetBOX.com address. The payout is correct (1000000000 satoshi), just the display is wrong.
Fixed in r20, thanks for the report!
