901  Economy / Speculation / Re: It is Buy time! on: February 03, 2016, 05:00:38 PM
definitely buy time.  Wish I could buy a bunch.  Must remain calm  Undecided
902  Economy / Speculation / Re: should i go 50/50 with gold and bitcoin? on: February 03, 2016, 04:53:22 PM
It is always good to stay diversified - metals are always a safe bet as storage and specifically in times of uncertainty and have been used for centuries.  Nice job on having 30BTC, I only wish  Smiley
903  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Blockchain vs Bitcoin on: February 03, 2016, 05:03:19 AM
It's because their trying to implement it to whatever system they own and have so it could benefit them more in the long run (a bit also for their users). Mostly banks will try to do all they could, to get rid of BTCitcoin so they've been trying to understand and study blockchain for a while now and If I'm not wrong, some have started initial stages of integration already.

This.  They seem to think that Bitcoin will just go away in the night if they keep saying "blockchain" enough.

There are many uses for the blockchain other than a currency.  It would be top notch for deeds, voting, and other documents or record keeping - fraudulent or lost documents would become a thing of the past.
904  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Litecoin will see 10$ and above 2016 on: February 02, 2016, 06:57:50 PM
I don't know, but Doge topped over 120 satoshis today after trading for months in the 30-40's, so anything is possible I guess. Litecoin was pretty close to hitting $10 last year due to the pump, so I do not think $10 is that unrealistic of a prediction.

But litecoin could reach $10 or more during a pump. But I am not sure if the price will last. It is just a clone of bitcoin at present.

considering that price is variate in 370-380 range and ltc is 3.09-3.13 i could say that tltc will reach in halving time 10$ maybe little more but that will be it

I too think LTC will move with Bitcoin.  It has followed pretty closely the last 6 months and if it does it near the halving it should see $10
905  Economy / Speculation / Re: Price Increase Incoming. on: February 02, 2016, 06:50:28 PM
I think this is really going to happen.

The price is in fact now very low and people are buying because they are so massive now believe it will be worth much later.

But I would just sit back and not be greedy. Have patience.

yes, Bitcoin is very quiet right now and it looks like a great buy.  I am hoping this is the quiet before the storm.
906  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoinocracy: If non-Core hard fork wins, major holders will sell BTC on: February 02, 2016, 06:48:37 PM
This might really be the case. However, once bitcoin survived this crisis, I am very sure the momentum will be unstoppable. Let the time tells.

Bitcoin does seem to survive many things and I am sure it can handle soft or hard fork.  This kind of talk only promotes FUD and that is not what is needed.  Focussing on a solution would be best at this time.
907  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Technological Wizards of the Banking Industry on: February 02, 2016, 06:46:01 PM
So the bankers have literally just been designing and developing ever more inventive ways of milking us all.

haha yes, exactly this.  That is their main motive.  I cannot see them attempting to innovate for the people or really do anything for the people.
908  Economy / Speculation / Re: We are down again? on: February 02, 2016, 05:30:40 PM
The bitcoin price is rising at the moment. This could be due to the turmoil in the stock market. The Dow has dropped a lot recently.

The price has dropped from $420 to $370 recently. There is no price trend at the moment. It might be in this range for some time.

I like this 420 to 370 price range and hope that the trend continues.  With Bitcoin though, it could be one announcement to make it go up or down.
909  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: FreeBazaar - OpenBazaar with Monero on: February 02, 2016, 05:23:54 PM
Is this project still alive?

Yes, but the code of OpenBazaar v2.0 is completely different from v1.0 and changed continuously before release.
So I'll releaze FreeBazaar (XMR-Version) after official release of OB.

I don't understand what the difference will be?  Do you have any idea when OB will open?
910  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: RhinoCoin - $60,000 market cap; $5,000,000 24/hr volume on: February 02, 2016, 05:21:36 PM
This is just a pump and dump. I have not even heard of this coin and it is worth more than 50 cents. The coin will crash and not heard after February.

definitely has me curious now.  I have not heard of it either and it is surprising that it is more than 50cents.
911  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: [LOOK FOR ANDROID DEVELOER PARTNER] EternityLove on: February 02, 2016, 03:17:53 PM
Do you need anyone for design or navigation?
912  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: The CIA and Bitcoin on: February 01, 2016, 08:58:54 PM
Open Source? Public Ledger? CIA doesnt need Gavin for that. There are tons of professionals with that capability now.

I think this might be right, they certainly have the staff to know what they need to know.
913  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: POLL::: Vote For "Best Whiny Rage Quit" on: February 01, 2016, 06:48:53 PM
My vote also goes to Hearn.  It was quite whiny and afterwards price rebounded showing him it did not have much of an effect.  Definitely the most entertaining.
914  Other / Off-topic / Re: Way to get bitcoin..!! on: February 01, 2016, 06:45:52 PM
Most conservative ways would be through a signature campaign and faucets.  Faucets are a slow build but the signature campaign is faster and you can learn a lot and help others by posting.
915  Bitcoin / Press / Re: [2016-02-01]An Exodus From Bitcoin to Alternative Digital Currencies on: February 01, 2016, 05:11:02 PM
If 2015 was the year of the blockchain, perhaps 2016 will be the year of alternatives to Bitcoin.

Since midway point 2015, the Bitcoin community has argued to no end about the future of the Bitcoin protocol. The core of the debate revolves around whether the software should be soft-forked or hard-forked, technical terminology relating to the way in which to implement a change to the way Bitcoin works. In this case, the particular change revolves around how much data the system can process per ten minutes, known as the block size. Many people want to increase the block size from 1MB to 2MB.

I doubt there is an "Exodus".  Bitcoiners would most likely hold their BTC while investing in the other alts.  Cant see someone selling all BTC to go all in to alts, but who knows.
916  Bitcoin / Press / Re: [2016-02-01] T-Mobile Data Sharing Creates Opportunities For Internet of Things on: February 01, 2016, 05:05:23 PM
the SIM cards will have SMS capabilities and the article claims that TMobile can be of use to several Bitcoin resources.  I think what they mean is that You will be able to do more with Bitcoin on your phone.
917  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: The real disastor that could happen (forking Bitcoin)... on: February 01, 2016, 05:00:47 PM
I don't think there will be a hard fork, slowly people are waking up at the stupidity of hard forking right now and are seeing the tradeoffs, Bitcoin's Core capacity increases will continue and people will learn from this once the drama is over. Of course it can always happen again, apparently XT was not enough so we have to go through Classic now. But every time Bitcoin survives this bullshit it just proves it's resilience and makes it stronger.

I am hoping your last sentence is correct, it seems that Bitcoin is resilient to just about anything and stays alive.  I have been trying to read and understand the difference between soft and hard fork and am getting there with my understanding.
918  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: COIN WARS: And the battle begins... on: February 01, 2016, 04:22:40 PM
Some of this is intimidating and the thing I don't understand and worries me is knowing when this all goes down, will there be warning?  Will there be certain signs?  I am sure there are no definitive answers to this but thanks in advance.
919  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Have you seen this one? on: February 01, 2016, 04:18:13 PM
Fantastic video, tons of info - very informative.  Ugh, if only I was an early adopter - just glad to be in today.
