901  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is the rumor about the latest 50,000 BTC auction true? on: March 06, 2015, 05:12:04 PM
This is the more moving piece of rumor/news though:

https://twitter.com/btcchina/status/573574299455455234

No one moves Bitcoin quite like China does...

That's a misleading tweet, the linked article was just "opinion" of a guy who invested in BTC. There is no official things from government. I thought BTCchina misunderstood "lawyer" to "law maker".

Yea, it's an old linked article an all, but you know speculators look at anything to get insider scoop.

Any tweet from a half way legit source, and they take it as gospel without real confirmation.

You know the saying...BUY THE RUMOR!

Exactly, always dig into the facts. The truth is out there!

Coins Disrespected

That is IF you are unfortunate enough to be Ukrainian.

Let this be a lesson to all those people who think Bitcoin won't protect you in a currency collapse. Bulshit, it will.

If you are Greek and you aren't 50% BTC 50% metals you are clinically insane.

This certainly would of protected a lot of their peoples wealth. There are a lot of countries that could quickly find themselves in similar situations. Sadly most people don't have the foresight to plan ahead.
904  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Regret and depression on: February 25, 2015, 07:29:14 PM
Don't worry, there is always another opportunity around the corner. Granted, this was a big one, but won't be the last. Chin up!
905  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What company should take btc? on: February 25, 2015, 07:28:14 PM
I personally don't know why all businesses wouldn't accept BTC these days. It doesn't hurt and is just another payment method that can attract new customers. Although it isn't like the early days where this got you a massive amount of new customers.
906  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Coinbase CEO: bitcoin is far ahead! Altcoins are distractions! on: February 25, 2015, 07:26:57 PM
ALT coins certainly aren't in the spotlight like they once were. A lot of bubbles, but its a free market and people are entitled to choose whatever currency they wish to use.

908  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Did ISIS Really Passed On Bitcoin on: February 25, 2015, 07:24:19 PM
I also doubt it would make the price move higher, if anything it would be spun in an incredibly negative light by the media.

912  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: CNN Morgan Spurlock has a piece on Bitcoin tonight 19 Feb 9pm ET on: February 19, 2015, 07:12:55 PM
We will be interesting perspective ... the major media has been pretty tame lately as Bitcoin has gravitated back into that early adoption and refinement phase.

Should be interesting. Thanks for letting us know, I'll keep an eye out for it.

914  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why is it wrong to suggest most people should own just 1 or .5 btc... on: February 19, 2015, 07:00:00 PM
People are free to choice what form of my money they hold, at least in theory. I don't see anything wrong with this at all.

918  Bitcoin / Wallet software / Re: From holder to spender.... on: February 17, 2015, 03:53:32 PM
I've been a BTC holder for about a year and a half but I'm such a miser that I've never spent any of it.  An online shop I want to place an order with accepts BTC so I'm ready to take the plunge.  I'm thinking an Android wallet with a small balance makes sense.  Any recommendations for that software?

I also don't want everyone I spend BTC with to know my main account's balance.  What is the best way to prevent that from happening?

Good for you! Need more people spending and using BTC as a currency.
