That's a misleading tweet, the linked article was just "opinion" of a guy who invested in BTC. There is no official things from government. I thought BTCchina misunderstood "lawyer" to "law maker". Yea, it's an old linked article an all, but you know speculators look at anything to get insider scoop. Any tweet from a half way legit source, and they take it as gospel without real confirmation. You know the saying...BUY THE RUMOR! Exactly, always dig into the facts. The truth is out there!

If you are Greek and you aren't 50% BTC 50% metals you are clinically insane. This certainly would of protected a lot of their peoples wealth. There are a lot of countries that could quickly find themselves in similar situations. Sadly most people don't have the foresight to plan ahead.

Don't worry, there is always another opportunity around the corner. Granted, this was a big one, but won't be the last. Chin up!

I personally don't know why all businesses wouldn't accept BTC these days. It doesn't hurt and is just another payment method that can attract new customers. Although it isn't like the early days where this got you a massive amount of new customers.

ALT coins certainly aren't in the spotlight like they once were. A lot of bubbles, but its a free market and people are entitled to choose whatever currency they wish to use.

Not sure that would be, he may not even be active here anymore. Hopefully you find him although.

I also doubt it would make the price move higher, if anything it would be spun in an incredibly negative light by the media.

We will be interesting perspective ... the major media has been pretty tame lately as Bitcoin has gravitated back into that early adoption and refinement phase.
Should be interesting. Thanks for letting us know, I'll keep an eye out for it.

People are free to choice what form of my money they hold, at least in theory. I don't see anything wrong with this at all.

I've been a BTC holder for about a year and a half but I'm such a miser that I've never spent any of it. An online shop I want to place an order with accepts BTC so I'm ready to take the plunge. I'm thinking an Android wallet with a small balance makes sense. Any recommendations for that software?
I also don't want everyone I spend BTC with to know my main account's balance. What is the best way to prevent that from happening?
Good for you! Need more people spending and using BTC as a currency.
