“I have been informed that the complainant is emotionally unstable with a tendency to seek out older men and engage in fantasizing,” Clinton, then named Hillary D. Rodham, wrote in the affidavit. “I have also been informed that she has in the past made false accusations about persons, claiming they had attacked her body. Also that she exhibits an unusual stubbornness and temper when she does not get her way.”

Given the attacks hillary made on the sexual abuse victims of her husband, is there any doubt she also attacked this 12 yr old girl? And did she ever reveal who "informed" her? It sounds like allegations by the accused which is what many rapists claim, that the woman wanted it.

Ukraine's Western-backed leaders voiced fears of an imminent Russian invasion of the industrial heartland, as NATO's top commander warned of a "very sizeable" Russian troop presence on Ukraine's eastern

The funny thing is when the USSR was under communist rule it was a paper tiger.  Now that the capitalist Russians has the power to cut off its oil supply to Europe it has real power.  Just think of lives and the trillions of dollars we wasted to stop communism because communism does not work.

Then when our goal is met and communism does fails we are now worse off.  Gee, most of the people we paid to be in our military could have gotten real jobs, made us stronger and could have been tax payers all this time instead of a drag on the economy.

There is no danger of war, only the danger from Republicans.

I think you may see the trees of the ideology rather than the forest of the imperial state since the USSR was, in fact, a great power, with the capacity equal to our own for projecting power. However corrupt the ideology--look at our own governing philosophy in this nation--a great power is still to be respected and feared by less powers: nothing paper about that tiger reality.

It seems to me that one of the things we've missed in our recent history is the credit deserved by George H.W. Bush for managing the breakup of that imperial state so successfully. It certainly didn't HAVE to be the case that that state dissolved peacefully rather than into a series of interregional wars, into which we might have been drawn. We take for granted that "well, it collapsed"...but rarely do such collapses come off with such little bloodshed and disorder. Credit really has to go to the Connecticut Yankee Bush, (as opposed to the southern Texan Bush, aka the Smirking Chimp) for the grace and skill with which he used American prestige and power to manage the dissolution.

I feel really bad for the kids who have to go through this because their parents are too ignorant or paranoid to get them vaccinated.
If they are really so concerned with the alleged link between autism and childhood vaccinations, they should continue to vaccinate their kids so that one day future generations won't have to because we will have eradicated the disease.
904  Other / Politics & Society / Re: China's scary growth! on: June 20, 2014, 12:50:14 PM
I came through this piece of interesting and mind blowing trivia today.

Apparently Bill Gates posted a tweet about China's growth.

http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2014/06/13...91527.html

It is stated that in the past three years alone, China had used as much cement as US had used in the past HUNDRED YEARS.

What do you think about China's growth as a developing nation and emergence to global superpower status?
They are now one of the largest contractors for building roads around the world, they missed adding that factor.

Electing the first black/first woman is not a good reason
No, it wouldn't have been. And it won't be, when Hillary is elected in 2016. Barack Obama was elected President because the American people had enough "leadership" from the Republican party under Bush/Cheney, and because the alternative the Republican party was a combination of more of the same in the form of John McCain, and something much, much worse in the form of Sarah Palin. Then, even though Barack Obama was extremely vulnerable in 2012, due to a deliberate effort to sabotage our country by the Republicans, he STILL won re-election because again, the alternative was a return to the failed policies of the past, and because the candidates the Republican party offered, Romney and Ryan, were clearly out of touch with the American people, and Romney actually openly told his supporters that he didn't care about almost half the population. Republicans want to win a national election? Stop feeding us right wing ideologues and those who pander right wing ideologues as candidates.

I keep telling you guys, and you never get it - the extreme right and extreme left do not elect Presidents. The extreme right is going to vote Republican. The extreme left is going to vote Democrat. It is the middle - both politically and economically - who decide who will be President. Unless you start trying to appeal to the center, your sphere of influence is going to become more and more concentrated, and you will never again win a national election.

As for Barack Obama, you cannot judge any President's competence by the results of his policies, without first knowing what he was trying to achieve.

Many wise and decent people assume automatically that President Obama was trying to serve the interests of America. From that standpoint, he has failed abysmally, both at home and abroad. And that should legitimately call his competence into question.

But that question can't be raised because every time it is the race card is played.  But now as we learn more about the criminal actions at the IRS we realize that the race card wasn't played in earnest, it was played to hide the truth and protect obama. And just like we're learning about the bergdahl trade, obama wasn't open and honest about the trade and in fact lied. Luckily for America the race card was too worn out to use it against those questioning the trade. The list goes on but its all reasons why obama shouldn't have been re-elected and why he needed to lie to get there. Now the dems want to elect hillary who has accomplished nothing except media manipulation and a honed in ability to lie without ever blinking an eye.

908  Economy / Economics / Re: The United States has finally recovered the jobs lost during the Great Recession on: June 20, 2014, 11:42:22 AM
The US economy added 217,000 jobs in May. The unemployment rate held steady at 6.3%, a five-and-a-half year low.

With last month’s job growth, the US has finally recovered all of the jobs it lost during the Great Recession. (That’s without adjusting for population growth; economists estimate there are about 7 million more working-age Americans today than there were at the previous employment peak in January 2008.)

DAT MY PRESIDENT!!
Great, now what about the last 6 years off population growth?
Population growth is practically nonexistent. It comes strictly from immigration. Without immigration, our population would be dropping.
To sustain a population, you need a fertility rate of 2.05. We're at 1.9 last I checked.
What was the population of the US in 2008?What is it now?Are you capable of answering such simple questions?
Jul 1, 2008 -304.09 million

I would "invent" the nuclear weapon and take over the world in the years around 1900. Then, I would use my time machine to keep control of the world in the future by constantly going back and forth in time and killing the people in the past who pose a threat to my epic dictatorship in the future.
913  Other / Politics & Society / Re: China's scary growth! on: June 20, 2014, 10:45:38 AM
The rapid growth in China’s defense budget is a natural outcome of its economic rise. It's not as scary as you all think. IHS Jane’s recently estimated that China will raise its military budget by nearly $10 billion this year (going from $139.2 billion to $148 billion). The news fits in well with catchy headlines about China’s growing military might, but as with all figures, the meaning can be distorted when taken out of context.
914  Economy / Economics / Re: How to strengthen a country's currency? on: June 20, 2014, 10:39:31 AM
There are many such ways to do this; have a good credit record, not default on loans, have high interest rates, have a strong legal system, have a good business environment, have high quality workers, good infrastructure, political stability, high exports, strong financial system, etc.
Now many of those are long term sort of things, but short term, interest rates, balance of trade changes, political stability, etc.
These are ways to strengthen a country's currency. But i have one question in mind that if one country's currency is more than another country then also its economy will be stronger?
Let me clear your doubt. Suppose Country A's currency is worth more than that of Country B, it does not necessarily mean that Country A's economy is stronger than B's. For example, Japan's economy is regarded as one of the world's strongest, and yet a single Japanese yen exchanges for considerably less than US$1. On the other hand, Cyprus' economy is considerably smaller than the U.S. economy, but Cyprus' currency, which is the pound, exchanges for about twice as much as the U.S. dollar.

917  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Iran actress scandal?? on: June 19, 2014, 06:32:17 PM
I just read this news today.

"A 25-year-old woman was stoned to death and killed by her family outside a high court in the Pakistani city of Lahore, for marrying the man she fell in love with, according to police and a lawyer. Police said about 20 members of the family started attacking Farzana Parveen, and her husband Mohammad Iqbal, with sticks and bricks as they waited for the high court to open on Tuesday afternoon."

http://www.washingtonpost.com/blogs/worl...she-loved/

The father wasn't even apologetic, he was there when the police arrived and said it was justified because it was a 'honor killing' because by not marrying the person the family chose for her, the woman have disgraced the family. WTF.

And apparently this kind of 'killing' is common in Pakistan!

"Although the Pakistani government itself does not collect any data — and it is illegal to carry out such killings — several hundred women are said to be killed in honor killings every year in Pakistan. In the latest annual report released (PDF) by the Human Rights Commission of Pakistan, 869 women were killed in the name of honor in 2013."

The fact that they can easily take away a human life like this is a very disgusting portrayal of the Pakistani attitude and perspective of women's rights.

In view of such atrocities, no wonder the Iranians wanted such harsh punishment for Leila Hatami also! I think the international community should take drastic actions to liberate and rescue the lives of oppressed women in the middle east!
918  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Iran actress scandal?? on: June 19, 2014, 06:23:10 PM
Actually, I do think Iranians have a right to have a say in the actions of people representing their country such as celebrities or sport stars because it affects the image of a country, especially an Islamic country like Iran!
Imagine an athlete from US saying how gay people are disgusting and should not be allowed to marry when he was at an international event. I'm sure the political backlash would be tremendous as well!
That actress does not represent anyone, even if she was only Iranian in the festival. No Iranian agency or organization authorize or pay her to present in France. She acted for her own, not for Iran.
Isn't too hypocrite to ask for an actress to behave morally for the name of her people, especially when the people is not that moral.
I think you are absolutely right. It is only an innocent gesture and what Leila Hatami chooses to do in her free time is really up to her. And it is not like she acted in the extreme. She has been very careful in her public actions. Even making sure to wear head scarfs for every of her public appearances to appease her countrymen.

I think people like Leila Hatami who has international recognition can stand up and be a spokesperson against the oppression of women freedom in her country especially now that she has experienced this terrifying ordeal..

Besides, she is very talented anyway and I do think that many countries will be willing to give her asylum and even accept her as one of their own should she ever want to migrate.
919  Other / Off-topic / Re: Sexism double standards experiment. on: June 19, 2014, 06:06:21 PM
I am of the opinion that old fashioned gender stereotypes are being increasingly shattered in today's society which are more open to individual self expression and acceptance of people's choices and orientation in life.

So males and females nowadays no longer feel society's pressure or judgement for them to conform into traditional gender stereotypes lest they be judged and criticized by their family and friends. This has led to a new generation of young people who define the new 'status quo'

So now males no longer feel the need to become the authoritarian dominant alpha male types if they don't feel like it and females no longer want to conform to society's expectation for them to play the submissive role if it's not who they really are. This has resulted in a massive upheaval and reversal of gender roles where nowadays you see working moms and stay at home dads.

However, with the good, also comes the bad. :/ and the female abuse of their significant other is also one of the bad that comes along with such change.

I don't think there is EVER a justification to become a rapist. Plus, I don't think oppression of men by women is a prominent reason for men to rape. It is more like men who rape are more predisposed to abuse women and their motivations are mainly motivated by lust.
However, what you said about the double standards in society where the abuse of men by their significant others are being taken too lightly is true. It is time that society realizes that gender equality means TRUE equality.
920  Other / Politics & Society / Re: pentagon-mass-civil-breakdown on: June 19, 2014, 06:01:44 PM
Nothing forestalls violence like the belief you are already defeated. If they can convince enough people of their superiority, people will not chance the effort. Of course they cannot control the US, maybe a few cities, perhaps they can sabotage infrastructure or disperse chemical and biological weapons, but once you start mass killing the population, you have already lost the war.
I see no study for a peaceful withdraw of acceptance or refusal to obey the laws. For the refusal to use FED notes or bank transactions. To withdraw wealth from points the government can control access. They only understand violence and thus, can only imagine a violent start and finish.
The power of the People is acceptance of the State in all its' guises. Once this is withdrawn, the State withers and dies.
