Why don't doog and deb use their bitcoin and move to the bahamas or w/e? They should've compiled a nice portion by now.
Sad to see just-dice go. I hope everything will go down smoothly.
+1. Just move! With the profits that you were getting you could live anywhere in the world.

20,651 average BTC wagered per day previous (June 20, 2013 - Feb 17,2014) 2,386 average BTC wagered per day last 4 months (Feb 18, 2014 - Jun 17, 2014)
In the last 120 days the total amount wagered is 18.43% of the amount wagered in a single day on Sep 29,2013. Expected return for investors (considering that it will stay as the last months) is going so low that I'm thinking about divesting. I really love Dooglus' idea, but I don't get why the website isn't advertised much more (to players, of course, he doesn't need nor want more money invested). So am I correct in understanding that if it was your website you would favor raising the max profit back to 1% in order to attract someone like Nakowa again (or Nakowa himself). You would like the possibility of cashing in big as an investor vs another big loss. Yes, of course, as 1% still isn't risky for investors, while we could encourage more betting.

i'm a little worried that max bet is approaching 300 territory where Nak was fully employed.
I hope he comes back. You don't hope that he will come back because you are afraid of variance? You must hope the max bet would be less than 0.5% of the bankroll then? I think 0.5% is good as it is not too conservative but gives better expected winnings to those invested than a lower max bet I want him to come back because I don't care about variance but I do about profit.

11% a year is a good return, but the risks involved in investing in a site like JD are absolutely huge.
Being realistic the stock market should return 7%, maybe more on average, and is an incredibly safe investment in comparison. Plus any companies you invest with would insure your money up to a certain amount. If there's a fire at doog's place, or something happens to doog, or doog decides he's had enough... then we're all screwed.
(like I said, personally I trust him, but after what has happened at other Dice sites people should be wary)
The risk is definitely there but the return is there too I made a little calculation the other day : On the last 14 days 2190BTC were wagered everyday in average so an expected profit of 21.9BTC/day or 657BTC/month => 1.4%/month or 18%/year with the compounded interests If I was to invest I would want at least 15%/year to offset the risk 21.9*0.9; don't forget fees.

Well, it seems like we have been scammed. I'm glad I didn't invest more.

Don't forget to take into account Ebay fees, Paypal fees, taxes, etc.

You probably make around 100BTC/month net from your fees so may not "need" to run away and create more troubles to yourself.. Can you disclose if you are invested in the bankroll yourself? How much? The casino offers a nice rate of return but it is illegal in my jurisdiction so i will wait until i live in a jurisdiction where i can invest in btc casinos He doesn't make that much, just look at wagered per day and multiply per 0.001 to estimate his expected profit.

interesting site bankroll movement during past 10 days. this leads to a conclusion that 1/3 of sites bankroll is controlled by just a few accounts. statistics also do not indicate these coins have been wagered. what other conclusions can be made? should such movement be somehow worrying? http://just-dice.blogspot.com.es/The two biggest investors have divested a lot.

Thanks for displaying profits Every Dice, how much do you have invested in your site?
|
|
|
I still can't see the site's overall profit displayed anywhere. I really recommend putting that up asap, othwerwise it looks a bit shady +1 And make some banners for referrals!

Where can we see site's profits?

I have been calculating how much was wagered in average per day in the last 30 days since 26/12/2013, to estimate what kind of returns can an investor expect. It seems like wagered just keeps falling. Dooglus, your idea was great, don't let your competitors take your place.

Hi Timetwister, Ah, you remember . You can see our daily wager at https://everydice.com/wagered.txt. This is only temporary and not automatically updated The development for automatic update is still in our roadmap. I see that lots of bitcoins have been wagered. Good job, and don't forget to automatically update that txt

So just 1 person posts about received dividends... It seems so fishy.

Everydice, you should post more information about wagered, like a history of how much has been wagered per day (like Just Dice does), so investors can estimate their expected profit.
And I don't understand how this part works, could you give an example for a won and a lost bet?: "Small percentage of wagered amount is used as referral bonus when player with referral make a bet. This helps Everydice get more players and more bets in the long run, thus also speed up the investment gain for the investors."
Hi Timetwister, thanks for your feedback. We agree with you that it is important feature and will be added soon, end of week at the latest Waiting for that feature

I see, so the referral fee comes always from the bankroll, even when the player wins a bet. Therefore investors profit is 0.89%, minus promotions like the Hourly Giveaway. So for example, if 10BTC are wagered per day and 0.024 given as prizes for that promotion, investor's expected profit is 0.089-0.024=0.065; 0.65% of what is wagered.
Hi Timetwister, you are right about the referral fee, it will be about 0.89%. However, EveryDice doesn't take anymore fee (ED will profits from unreferred player) and the Hourly Giveaway is not taken from the bankroll If those 0.024BTC are yours, then you are at least temporarily losing money. Your maximum profit is 0.1% (0 to 0.1%, depending on what percentage of the wagered amount is made by referred players), so from 10BTC you just get 0.01BTC. Is that correct? It's a very small loss in absolute terms that makes sense only if you want to encourage more betting in the future. You need at least BTC24 wagered per day to break even, not taking into account any other cost (that's considering that you aren't an investor).
