Now surprise surprise, Japan kicked Iran from the tournament with 3 goals - 0!!!
Japan - Qatar next?

I was expecting and backed Japan to win the match, to make it to the final but what I never saw coming was 3 goals, I expected  a scoreline of a goal difference in favor of Japan.
I'll say my prediction for the final is well on track, Lets see if Qatar can complete the final piece tomorrow.

I'll say Qatar vs Japan for finals.

Even if Qatar makes it to the finals I think that Japan is going to win the tournament.
This team even when they are in a bad form and they cannot play good football they have the chance to win the game with an opportunity that will start from a foul or a corner or even a counter-attack. I am in favor of Japan and if I find a satisfying odd I will bet for them.
They are in the finals. Smiley
And you are right Japan is no joke and should not be taken lightly.
Qatar is on a roll and have not been scored on in the tournament yet.
This being said it is more than likely they will be scored on and might even cause them to lose the match.
If Japan can score on them early enough they will panic and not concentrate on scoring but defending which will cost them the finals.

Southampton and Crystal Palace are in the danger of dropping back into the relegation zone at any moment, and both of these teams will be playing against each other today, even though Southampton are having the advantage to play this match at their home stadium but I think Crystal Palace will be able to force a draw at the final whistle today.
Any prediction on the Tottenham hot spurs game?
With Harry Kane out with an ankle injury and Dele Alli with a hamstring.
They will have Son heung min back from the asian cup s.korean team and Moussa Sissoko returning in this match against watford.

Davis got fined $50k for making it public by his agent he wanted out of the pelicans.

AD will make that money in less than one quarter.  Wink

Funny though, Jimmy Butler and the shenanigans that he pulled off before finally being traded, including 15min ESPN aired interview, got him no fines.
I think he got the fine because Lebron is in on the whole thing of persuading him to come to LA so he can have another big man on the team with some muscle just like what the warriors did with boogie cousins.
And the league doesnt want Lebron to making it look like he runs the league and to put him in check so to not get his way.
It is all politics.
It was funny listening to the La game against Phila last night. The announcers were dropping hints of Anthony Davis and the trade but were not wanting to cross the line with what they were saying.
One comment was he would just not pay the agent who leaked his wanting a trade for two months and recoup his money back from the fine. And another was he would declare it as a tax write off. Cheesy

Lakers are shooting like crap and Mcgee just missed a dunk.
Butler is killing them on his own with those two steals and drives to the lane for lay ups.
The -7.5 is looking like it will hit.
I took -9.5 and sportsbook took it off live betting for some reason.
I think they dont want to be paying out alot of people who are betting on the game with the -10.5 available.
Hah! Cheesy
The first quarter alone, they already covered, this game will end up a 20 point win by the road team.
Lakers has no chance against a great team like the sixers, they give up early and I don't expect a rally from them, who will initiate that?
With no lebron nobody really. Rondo could but he was on the bench for so long.
Except if they expect Ingram to step up and lead this team which is not going to happen this season. He is still to young in this league and they already tried it last week when Rondo wasnt in the lineup.

*just while I posted lakers go on a 15-0 run. Roll Eyes
Phila lead is down to 8 points.

That is alot for just a tweet. Undecided
Hardens streak ends tonight with a defeat from those pelicans.
From when I turned off the tv he had 27 points and only a minute and a half left to go.

Where is OP for his picks for today?
Did he take a break for a bit to gather from the last loss?

I'm also waiting for this pick and wanted it to tail it again.

I will predict for today Houston vs N.O Pelicans
Houston -7.5 points

Since the pelicans are in talks with the Davis not resigning with the team before the trade deadline next month.
So their heads will not be in the game cause of all the controversy swirling the team and their star player.
Where will their leadership come from now?
This will give the rockets the advantage tonight and Harden wants to keep his 30+ point a game streak alive.

No doubt that Harden and the rest of the Rockets wants to get a win against N.O. They are in a roll as well, and with the Anthony Davis saga continues, I'm betting Rockets will take this one.

@rdase, what do you think of of -9.5 or -11.5 points for Houston?
Since stadus is back and gave his pick for todays last nba game of the day.
I'll say go with that instead. Wink
Looks like rockets will be making it a tight one with the last quarter left and they are behind by 2 points.

Newcastle 2 - 1 Manchester City  Shocked

A golden opportunity for Liverpool tomorrow, a win means a 7 points gap with City...crucial game.

Oh, and Manchester United's winning streak is over, 2-2 against Burnley who gave a defensive masterclass at Old Trafford today, but eventually gave in to the pressure.
Yes, the quick goal that Aguero made still can't help Man.City get 3pts, even I bet for Man.City -1.5 Cheesy

It will be an interesting match for Liverpool tomorrow, but I'm still sure Liverpool can get 3pts maybe only with a 1goal gap.

I think Burnley goalkeeper played beautifully in this match, at least 7 times a save was made, which made Man. United were difficult to make goal with many goal attempts created.
I dont know how man. utd made those goals within 7 minutes of the match cause as you said the burnley goalkeeper played very good and stopped those poor shots on goal from them all match long.

How in the heck did Manchester united score two goals. They were down the entire match and Burnley was up 2 goals at 83 minutes into the second half. The man. utd shots on goal were the worst up until this point.

Arsenal are facing some injuries issues with their key defenders at the moment and I think Cardiff City might be able to score a few goals against Arsenal today, but I believe Arsenal would try to play more offensively rather than defensively today, so I think Arsenal would still be able to beat Cardiff City today by outscoring them at the end of the match.

Arsenal do have some injury worries with the likes of Konscielny and Bellerin being absent, but mere looking at the starting line up, Arsenal were still able to string a very strong team that should easily win today, most notably Mesut Ozil is also starting match, Ramsey, Iwobi and Xhaka on bench also mean there's quite some qualities that could be called upon from the bench too.
They havent put Ozil in the starting line up in ages so they are looking to win this match and take it early.
Hope they can win it and have a clean sheet against cardiff city.
Just surprised to see Manchester city already scoring already 5 minutes into the match.
They are really trying to catch up ground on the table against liverpool.

If there was something good to comeout of the results of cryptocurrency in 2018 it was the exposure of what bitmain was doing with its mining facility and equipment. That was just not right.
Atleast companies like bloqlabs are looking to improve on mining with increasing hashrate and not just being greedy with it.

Qatar are in amazing form in this Asian Cup tournament and I believe the morale of the Qatar players are high too, they are just a step away to get into the finals for this Asian Cup tournament, and I believe Qatar will be able to fulfill their dream to get into the finals by beating United Arab Emirates today.
It is looking this way from scoring 4 goals on the UAE team which was just like the Japan game with Iran for a cleansheet.
And to top things off UAE gets a red card in the last minute of the match for a pass crossing the midfield line which was weird to say the least. They had to use VAR for it and then Qatar scores their last goal in injury time.
Their dream of being in the finals is complete.

We are both in this together, I guess. One of favorite bookies offered Qatar to win the trophy at a whopping 6+ Offs I'm feeling super lucky and tempted to place quite a bet on this, Or maybe I'll just bet on them to win today for a 2.20+ Odds and expect close to 4 Odds against Japan if they win today then go all in with today's winnings.
Their odds to hold up the trophy before todays game was 4.35 odds so I dont think they will be near the same odds to be against Japan. But todays odds of 2.28 on the lines I was looking at before todays game was very nice but I went for over on goals and hit for better odds at 3.25x.

Yeah. Nobody seen Japan scoring so many goals against Iran.
Qatar are a good team and can score when they are doing and feeling good.
They did score 6 against a Korea DPR team with 0 by them.

What did I just watch!? The Denver nuggets were down 25 points going into the 4th quarter and managed to come back and win the game. Grin
https://www.denverstiffs.com/2019/1/28/18201445/recap-nuggets-win-grizzlies-beasley-buckets-baskets-big-victories-airplane-mode
The last time they did something similar to this was back in 1981 and it was down by 21 points to win.
The Memphis grizzlies were up in the first quarter 35 to 17 and I thought it was their game forsure watching all the misses and turnovers Denver were making through out the whole game.
Nuggets sat out Murray as I saw him on the bench in a suit so they had the joker Jokic as the leader this night and even he stunk for the first half and only started scoring in the second half with 5 points and got 16 points in the entire 3rd quarter.
I was watching this and closely monitoring the live bets inside sportsbet but failed to assess, I was thinking that Grizzle really dominated the game till the 4th quarter start, nuggets outscored Grizzle by 20 points 35/15 poor defense and lack of communications.

Grizzle needs some adjustment, they were the dark horse before, they need to reassess and if needed trade players for regroupings.

I would of liked to see the odds of them to win it when they were down by 25 points. Must of been over 14.25x odds on live betting being in memphis and being down by this much since the beginning.
It was the hardest 1.4x odds I ever had on a betslip before and thought it lost at the end of the first quarter.

Breaking news:

Let me #wojbomb at you with - Anthony Davis has officially requested to be traded saying he has no intention of resigning with the Pels.

source: https://twitter.com/wojespn/status/1089857935532904449

Well you can't blame the guy. He's been carrying this team his entire career and he only gone so far as the playoffs. There's been a lot of hope back then when he teamed up with boogie but we all know things didn't work out well then. Any superstar of AD's caliber would want to seriously contend for a title of course.

LA Laker and Lebron would want him but it will cost them Zo, Kuzma and more

Looks like Nole is taking over the match, I just glanced on the live score, so he already took the first 2 sets against Nadal. As I have said, I will go for Nole, but I didn't expect him to be up 2-0. Anyways, Nadal still had a lot of chance in the 3rd set, but he seems to be getting tired or started to tire out. Let's go for a 5 set classic thriller.
It's over Nadal could not make it. Djokovic won the third set and own the match. Nadal lost because Djokovic was too cleaver and fast for him. I was looking forward to a marathon match though.

Congrats Djokovic for the title.

Right, I was expecting Nadal to at least make a comeback run and force a 4th or even a 5th and deciding game but it looks like Nole is really unstoppable at this point. He seems to be very nervous as well, I don't know maybe he is really tired and didn't offer more resistance to Nole.

Congrats to both Osaka and Djokovic for winning the 2019 trophy both of them deserves to win and a good start for them as well.
I was certain Djokovic was going to win but in straight sets the odds werent that great either. Think they were just over 3.5x and to risk any amount on a finals would of been careless to do since their opponent would be putting up a fight to even win one of the sets. But Nadal didnt have any solution in doing this for some reason.
As the announcer said "There are no excuses!" for Nadal this time.
He was simply out matched and out played. Well done Nole! Wink
Now Djokovic is 2 championships away from Nadals all time of 17 major final wins and 20 for Federer.
9039  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Tennis League All Thread on: January 27, 2019, 04:14:59 AM
Nadal couldnt do it against an injured Federer as I remember when he came back from the medical timeout he was amazing and had his second wind to win the match.
I believe Nole will have an easy one against Nadal as he is a foxy player that turns it up another level in the finals and this time he wants to keep his number 1 spot on the circuit.
Noleeeee! Grin

I just watched some playoffs back then and seen the 3-point batlle of Kevin Hart and Draymond Green, has anybody here seen that? They both suck on that game but it's SUPER ENTERTAINING, can't help my self from laughing at those two, though I really thought Hart would never get any point for he's just small compared to green, but still he won the shooting game Smiley

It's kinda unfair for he only got a ribbon Cheesy for winning.

Here's the link for anybody who wants to catch that scene:
https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=ZXhzUlhLfW4

I saw that, Hart gives real entertainment to the crowd, and I think we can expect him again this All star game.
His passion in basketball is big, he can entertain the fans and at the same time he also showed his skills in basketball, this guy is short like below 6 foot but he knows how to shoot. I'm looking forward to a more exciting All Star season this year.

Currently on Celtics vs GSW
I love the match, it's in the 4th quarter now and game is close, the Celtics are making a rally and I think they will win this game.
The celtics always have a hard time closing out their games.
They lost by 4 points cause they tried to get the win instead of the tie when they were down by 2 points.
Now the warriors are on a 10 game winning streak and celtics winning home record streak of 10 has ended.
