9021  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: whether one dogecoin could be $ 1? on: April 28, 2017, 05:38:45 PM
I found an article on dogecoin that cost could reach $ 1 is that correct?
I don't believe dogecoin is ever rising. It's now just a dying memecoin. The hype and pump is over.

But there's always a chance. Maybe dogecoin will be the currency of the future!
Well, for such a bad coin as you describe it, doge is doing extremely well in gambling sphere. It is one of the most recognized coins in online casinos whereas it is definitely the cheapest of them. If I'm not mistaken doge is very promising in case something happens to btc and eth (hard fork), because it can't suffer from such a thing.
9022  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: [XRP] Ripple Speculation on: April 28, 2017, 09:19:42 AM
Ripple definitely has been shooting up a lot recently! Any big news surrounding it?
Yes, it's probably connected with news about Abu-Dhabi bank accepting this technology.
And yet I guess XRP i very far from being considered a solid altcoin. The price is ridiculously small even now. And I guess it will never reach $1 whereas even this price is very low for a cryptocurrency.

9026  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Zcash price will go upto $1000 [Hold your coins] on: April 19, 2017, 11:03:08 AM
LOL! Don't be ambitious that Zcash will be go up to $1,000 look on how did bitcoin did had hard time to pump and go up to $1,000 and as of now it is still fighting for it's stability. But well maybe if Roger will be dumping his BTU and will go to manipulate Zcash maybe this is possible though he has his own interest and others too.
I think it's the end for this coin. Bitcoin and other good cryptos started from small prices and slowly moved to their triumh. Z-cash was worth a few thousand dollars at the beginning (which is crazy) and is now only $72. It is recovering and growing slowly but I still think it's just pumped. Yes, this coin provides more privacy and security but what else makes it special enough to become one of the best?
9027  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What is the best altcoin to be kept on: April 19, 2017, 10:52:32 AM
Even though the number of altcoins is increasing, the number of good coins is a constant Cheesy

Sadly, yes.
Well, I think it is not fully true. Three years ago we could say that the only fine coins are btc and ltc. Now we may add eth, byteball and probably monero to this list. The number is increasing and coins ought to become better not to lose on the market. I believe some very nice coin which is protected from inflation, has usefull wallet, fast transactions, smart contracts, able to resist attacks will appear some day and be added to this list.
9028  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: I'm Selling My House to Buy Litecoin on: April 19, 2017, 10:41:42 AM
Litecoin holding nicely above 0.01! What will be next? Slow rise before breakout? Slow rise before we go lower again?

Buy now or wait for dip?

I want to buy more but im not sure if it will go lower.
This is the hardest part which we wont know if this time would be the best time to sell ltc. We wont know if it wont dip again or having a breakout this time.We should be observant on the price movements together with the news. Putting or risking everything on ltc would really be risky.
I think it doesn't matter much. 10 dollars for 1 coin is still cheap. Litecoin will cost a lot more in a few years anyway, since this coin is easy to use, inflation-resistent and it is fast to proceed transactions. So, I think now is still good time to buy. Imagine that in a couple of months ltc becomes worth $8. If you bought 10 coins, this will mean that you lost $20 dollars. But then it will reach $100 per coin and you'll still win big time.
9029  Economy / Speculation / Re: Sell or wait? on: April 18, 2017, 07:19:34 PM
This is not the right time to sell bitcoins as price can go higher in next couple of weeks or months so its good to hold them and I will sell some of them only when it will reach $1500 or else I am happy in holding them for a long term.
yeah you are right that its not good time to sell your bitcoin because bitcoin price will be more rise in coming months and i am also sure that bitcoin price will be reach to $2000 at the month of December.
yes its good time to hold your bitcoin because bitcoin will be more profitable for us in the future because bitcoin going to precious day to day.

That is the reason I keep most of the coins. I only sell to pay for electricity.
I also sell to pay for such things as electricity, hot water etc. And thus I think that with bitcoin it is really never a good time to sell but always to hold. However, I guess it doesn't make sense when people keep holding money forever and never come to the time when they can finally spend the money. The nature of money is that it has to be used, not holded. So I guess one has to think of specific things on which to spend btc and put some time limit there as well not to make this investment useless.
9030  Economy / Economics / Re: It's Time To Get Painfully Honest: Banks Are Evil on: April 18, 2017, 07:02:42 PM
I know how they try to make money. They milk as much money as possible from their customers by introducing not-really necessary services and life insurance. They try to attract you with their promos. I just opened my account last week.  To be safe, I only open an account on top banks renowned worldwide.
I will probably prefer to open a bank account in a local bank than to keep feeding those transnationals banks that do nothing but harvest profits in your country and then take it away from your country so if you can support your local business even if those are banks since they are the lesser of two evils.
Well, I am also a user of local banks but I don't think they are better than international ones. It is just more convenient to have local currency. And sustaining a card with dollars or euros from some international bank is quite expensive in my country.
Nevertheless, I think banks not onlky rob people by offering them some insurances and services. They also make economy possible. At least, for know our society can't leave without them. Perhaps one day cryptos will be able to replace them but for know we should appreciate what we have.
9031  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [vDice.io]►Ethereum Blockchain Gambling►►**New & Awesome Version of Site on: April 18, 2017, 06:48:17 PM
vDice Core goal: To develop the vDice brand & site as a platform for developers.
Does this mean Ethereum based gambling wallet like moneypot? Does vdice will allow developers to run their own gambling script without their own bankroll? If yes than Vdice can be first of its kind.

Hope to get this soon.
That's what I thought about. That vdice is planning to become something like moneypot. However, I think this is not such a good idea, since it may cause some problems. For instance, a scammer is using the platform and then people blame the platform, not the scammer. Are there ways to prevent such a situation?
Providing a platform for decentralized application developers on ethereum basis sounds like an extremely good idea, though.
And games are likely to attract more users. Looks like vdice is going to earn a lot! You should probably add an investment option on your site. This will draw more attention and help you to proceed. Good luck!
9032  Economy / Marketplace / Re: Trading VS Bitcoin! on: April 16, 2017, 10:38:49 AM
Trading is much more better than mining once you have learnt all the rudiments of trading and becomes full time trader making profit will be consistent. But in mining you have deplore all the tools involved and it consumes a lot of power i.e electricity and takes much time.
But mining does not require your full time. Just one time set up is more than enough. But mining should be done in large a scale otherwise you could not manage the running costs to find profits with it.

I believe an industrial scale bitcoin mining is much better than anything we could do, see many people are doing it in China and in Europe due to lower electricity cost and good climate conditions. Like this we must have one favour by natural so that we can find better results with bitcoin mining.
Well, if you are talking not about online mining but about real miners you hold somewhere - you do need to be there a lot, because anytime something might go wrong with ventilation, electricity or just some parts of the miner.
Trading is a lot easier and more risky than mining but is potentially a lot more profitable. Some coins grow up to +300% in price in a few weeks and if you guess which is the next one to grow in such a way - you get lots of money rightaway.
And even if you bought a coin and the price fall down, you still have a chance it will recover (like litecoin) whereas if your miner is totally broken - say bye-bye to all the money you've invested in it.
9033  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: SegWit yay or nay? come vote here. on: April 16, 2017, 10:25:45 AM
75% people voted "want SegWit", which is not a surprise at all. SegWit is the trend, after its implementation, bitcoin can be more faster and flexible, big block size with softfork means no big hazard to bitcoin, including no price dump. IMO SegWit will be implemented within 3 months.
No big hazard - yes, because the same coins would not be able to be spent twice and the blockchain will not face hard fork. However, this is just a temporary solution, as far as I understand.
Bitcoin being faster - no. As the signature will be in the extended block, it will take more time to become confirmed and even the price of transaction fee is likely to grow.
Nevertheless, I vote for Segwit, because at least it will save btc from some big problems and will give time to come up with something better.
9034  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Ethereum on: April 16, 2017, 09:44:08 AM
Hey, it has been only 4 days since the OP created the thread and the form is already closed for new responses.. Why? Is it that you've already recieved enough of answers? Or is it some kind of a mistake?
Anyway, I am a btc user but I store some eth because I think that one day it will be valued a lot higher than now and the price will be closer to what btc has right now. If there won't be many options to use ethereum in real life at that time, I will just sell but if there will be possible to earn and spend eth on food or house rent - I would use it with pleasure, because the smart contracts system is very trustworthy and the coin itself is quite stable.
9035  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Ethereum contract tokens on: April 16, 2017, 09:29:53 AM
Hello,

I want to know how to store Etheureum contract tokens like Humaniq for an example on an Ethereum wallet or in a Ledger Nano S?

Best Regards,
There is a thing which is called a meta-token on Ethereum. It sort of functions like another coin (which was growing letaly, by the way, but is strongly tied with eth. I'm talking about VSL which can be easily bought by you on vdice by sending some eth on some adress. Maybe it is not what you're looking for but at least you may be interested in checking this thing out.
9036  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: The Most Undervalued Coin of 2017! on: April 16, 2017, 09:19:27 AM
XRP still undervalued considering all the progress Ripple has made.

FCT as above

SIA

ETC possibly?
Ripple progress is made possibly ecause of pumping and if it made the biggest progress ever right now then this coin shouldn't be called underestimated.
Ethereum classic.. Well, probably. But what is the real difference between etc and eth? I think etc faced hard fork and still hasn't recovered and was sort of replaced by a better version of eth.
I would name litecoin in underestimated, because it is a coin which is recognized on markets and in casinos, being protected from inflation and allowing the transaction fee not to get as high as we can see it with bitcoin.
9037  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: LTC Segwit is over 70% on: April 14, 2017, 06:08:41 PM
We could seen a breakout in price soon I think .
Wasn't a break out already there about 2 weeks ago? I think the price for now on can only fluctuate for less than a dollar. Litecoin has made its breakthrough and now need time to stabilize at least here and even this will be hard since it looks like the price was actually pumped. Otherwise it is hard to explain one it suddenly grew up that much and that fast.
Well, I think litecoin is a good coin anyway and one day it will cost lots of dollars like bitcoin does. Especially if btc ends up being to expensive to use due to transaction fees.
9038  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: what is the best way to research alt coins? on: April 14, 2017, 05:54:06 PM
Announcements (Altcoins)   https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?board=159.0

Altcoin Discussion   https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?board=67.0

These 2 sections which I post above, are the best place to research altcoins, especially the ANN section, you can learn a lot of concepts of altcoins, and know their knowledge.
Surely these sourses are okay but one has to be very familiar with how things go on this forum since there are mostly people earning money and writing something even without understanding the topic. So, I guess, for a new person it is better to seek for information on coinmarketcap, for example. Although it is too plain and obvious, I think price charts can tell a lot about the near future of the coin and help decide in which to invest.
9039  Economy / Economics / Re: Can Bitcoin also lead to corruption ? on: April 14, 2017, 05:27:39 PM
Everything that gives you power to buy goods and services can learn to corruption. It doesn't matter if its fiat, gold, or any crypto, corruption is inherent in mankind, and will never disappear.
I think there could be a way for btc to prevent corruption if it wasn't pseudonymous. There could be a law which requires every important person to have only one wallet and make the adress public. In such a case everybody would be able to see how money comes or goes away from this wallet. Nevertheless, as it is not what btc is meant for and it is even not possible with bitcoin, it can surely be a part of corruption and perhaps work even better than fiat since no fake person is needed to preserve lots of money.
9040  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [vDice.io]►Ethereum Blockchain Gambling►►**New & Awesome Version of Site on: April 14, 2017, 05:17:36 PM
vSlice definitely should be on more and more exchanges so that we can buy it wherever we want. It worths it.
Yes vslice should be listed on few more exchange platforms and if it will be listed on atleast bittrex we can expect atleast 3-5x. And i think they will list VSL soon.
Apart from exchange sites I guess it must be on list of gambling sites. Perhaps there should be a gambling ANN thread in the appropriate section since this site offers to bet and have chance to win. I think it is quite innovative, because it is built on smart contract system and thus it is self-evident that website is no scam.
