Just stopped for a while because of the higher price. Maybe I will wait more time to sell then buy back if ever it will go down. If not then just earn it again.
I don't think that price is too high at a moment and if you can manage to hold them for next couple of years then I think this is good price to buy as price will rise in future which will bring good profits for us. If I must be honest I think that the price is too high to buy and that we should not do it right now with this future. It will maybe go to a higher price but the fact is that its not worth due to the fact, the profit would be less more. The price is still way below the ATH. So I think it is still safe to buy bitcoins right now if you are going to hold for long term anyway. The price may go back to 1K in a few years or even just 800 just like last April, it is still profit. No doubt we can see a good price in the future and even if the price today is currently rising, we should see this a cheap price because this is not a peak price yet, we can still see more increase in the future as we are very active of attracting new comers that will make the community grow bigger. |

You know I'm becoming convinced that these markets are manipulated. Why would a loser project like "pot coin" rise so hard and crash so fast like that? Nobody should have ever even heard of it. People were talking about FOMO on "pot coin". FOMO ON "POT COIN". What!?
I know this is probably not news to anyone but im naturally extremely skeptical of everything. So I wasnt convinced till now. But closely watching the rise and fall of "pot" has convinced me. I just cant comprehend an organic growth driven process for what that "pot coin" chart looks like. So I really think some group of people pushes these things up in large conspiratorial calculated moves.
If this is the case they probably did it to our baby monero too. They used and abused her. Most of the buyers almost certainly had no understanding of the potential like we do. And I mean the market leaders not just the whale chasing FOMO zombies. That's not at all why they were buying.
But hey they say no press is bad press. So we will probably settle at a higher level than we started thanks to this "pump" and we still have the organic adoption to look forward to.
This explanation had made me change my mind and now I will be holding monero and even but with it's current price now. Thanks for the very concise explanation, people like me who are just new in the industry gets some valuable lessons, very realistic analysis. |

Yes we can manipulate the price of bitcoins if we are going to keep on demanding and supporting the usage of bitcoin. But the ones who are able to manipulate the price of bitcoins are the whales, who are holding a lot of bitcoins in their wallets. Maybe thousands of bitcoins or even millions. A manipulation is only done by the minority who are holding a majority of share in the total circulation of bitcoins, with that for sure we cannot manipulate but they can, what we are doing is that we keep on buying so the price of bitcoin will rise for the benefit of everyone. |

Nah, gambling isn't wrong as long as you don't gamble excessively. It becomes wrong when you gamble all that you have even the money that you should use to buy food. When you can't control yourself not to gamble specially when your losing. You should understand just gamble what you can afford to lose.
Oh well, that's what others forgot. When they gamble they are like horse and probably looking on just one direction without even leaning back. That's what makes gambling wrong. Sometimes a gambler even if they don't have food to eat they do gamble having a false hope that they will win. I think people who want to leave their real life job and go full time on bitcoin is not because they could earn more money with bitcoin, but because they got stress in their workplace so they really want to quit their job.
I don't think that can be a reason for leaving the job, because everyone likes to earn more money no matter how they get it so if they work more in their workspace and they also earn more from it then i don't think they will leave it just for that, but the reason behind that only can be less earnings than bitcoin. A work is only stressful if you are not enjoying your pay because if you are earning well with your full time job the stress will easily be relieve as you have the money to spend in order for you to unwind sometimes and you can even gamble for fun if that will relieve the stress. |

I won't convince you to believe further on bitcoin because it's all up to you. This is risky. If you're brave enough, then go. I've experienced this before, I just go with my instincts. yeah exactly. everything is actually a risk but going with bitcoin, for me, is a well calculated risk. been doing this for around 6months and I can say it really has very good potential Well even bitcoin is risky I will keep on believing it for I have proven that this is going to give me a good future only if I will going to keep on working with bitcoin. Because I will not going to spend my time longer into something that I won't benefit, so that is why I keep on believing bitcoin for it is beneficial for all of us. If someone (bank for example) could block your money account, it means it is not your money. Nobody can block my bitcoin account, that is why I use bitcoin as a customer! We have to explicate what bitcoin is, why we shell not trust to banks.
Good point. But we shall not generalize banks. There are only some banks who does that. Of course you must be well-informed about their rules and regulations before you secure your money to them. If you did not like it, you mustn't have to accept it in the first place. Banks are not stupid to block your account, you will only experience that if you are doing something illegal as bank are also required by the AMLC to monitor illegal transactions and suspicious transaction. |

Nice plan pal and we would surely convert it to fiat since its free anyway but there are really people would tend to keep it and put up to some investments to make it grow more. 10 btc would be decent enough to make investments and also we could buy our wants but its wise to made such decision on long terms. Converting is always available, you can do it anytime you want, but once you have converted and spent them then you wont have the chance of growing their quantity which is only possible by investing, and 10 bitcoins is really a great amount to be used as a capital in an investment which can easily grow the sum in a month or two, and after that you should convert the profits you have earned. Exactly, you just loses the opportunity to earn money again because with fiat it will grow but subject to inflation. The scenario here is if we are given 10 BTC then we should grow that amount and not cash it out, otherwise the person who gave that to us will not be happy of what we are doing. |

I will be using LocalBitcoins, if I have 0.5 BTC I can sell up to 85% of that in my own advert then the rest on another person's advert. Is there a way to make a profit this way? Or is 0.5 simply not enough to start with?
Im starting trading with amount arround 0.3btc then i trade it everyday and take profit as much as possible, after 2month now i have 1bitcoin. i think the mininum capital to start trading is 0.1 Thats good for you .well i have 0.4 invested on different altcoins still waiting about 1 month .i hoping after two months to reach my first 1BTC cause the coins i inbestednis more on long term . 0.1 is good as long as you have a money but it is good to start low first especially if they are a beginner. Exactly, because we are not here if bitcoin does not have value at all. But because bitcoin has a good value and as of now the price is keep on increasing so we can say that it is will be more important and matters for all of us. I hope that the price will increase more in the future so that it is going to help us. The price makes it exciting for us to stay here especially if we are seeing a good price increase like now, without a price we cannot determine the value of bitcoins we are holding as that is the only gauge we have to determine it, maybe we will just be reliance with fiat as we cannot be an independent currency. Thats true, if the father is the only provider its hard to budget your salary and in addition you have children who are in school. Daily expenses is rising, even though you are already done any kind of saving, but thats not enough. In todays time, you need to have an extra source of income to augment your family needs. For me, I've learned my lessons and its really very important to SAVE. Differentiate needs from wants before buying an item. I guess I can relate to this as I am a father myself, it is really hard if you only have one source of income as you need to cope up to the needs of your family, I have two children and my wife is not yet working so I need to work hard to give a good future for my family. |

Nice strategy to prevent losing in gambling but for me its not enough to quit in gambling if you want quit gambling for good like I said just look another entertaining hobby that you can earn too. If you realize that you lose a lot in gambling (time, money, friends/family) I think it will be effective, the only downside of that is when you don't find anyone to hold on to while quitting you would just go back to gambling as if you are in " self pity "... Working on day job is most effective to quit gambling... You could quit immediately in gambling if you really wanted to with no excuses and start working...  Well people are not going to stop as long as they have money to gamble in their pocket and banks accounts. But I think the best way to quit gambling for your good is to make yourself bankrupt. So that you are going to see how money is very valuable if you don't have money anymore and you lose it with gambling. Maybe that will teach you a lesson. That's too much... Draining your funds because of gambling and I don't think that you need to reach that point, by just basing on other peoples wreck life, broken family and broken life, that's enough... I think I read it and echoed this in another thread. It would be very nice to invest in some of these exchanges, even if they were only listed as OTC stocks. I think if they're properly regulated and can actually produce financial statements (gl with that one), they could go public. Unfortunately, the ones we've seen like Mt. Gox & Cryptsy, they had much different plans. But can you imagine if Yobit actually had an accounting team or a CFO? I'm sure they and places like Poloniex do a pretty good business. And that's what I wouldn't mind investing in.
Please let us know how would you invest in the operating exchange sites? Particularly yobit, I have not heard they are accepting any investment, I guess only gambling house and cloud mining here are accepting investment AFAIK. |

Holding bitcoin will be the best idea since it is expected to go much higher in the following months.i would advice to keep more bitcoins as saving and invest the rest of bitcoins in trading. but remember trading is risky.

Best way for a steady income within bitcoin is difficult to answer I'd just say full time job but that's not with bitcoin obviously.
Most chance is probably trading or starting your own webdesign company for example.
I certainly agree with your statement, there is no steady income here because we are like gambling on the price of bitcoin here, when the price increases we are happy because our earnings will have a greater value and we can sell our bitcoins for a profit, but that does not happen all the time so it is not steady at all. |

There's no point getting angry gambling, it will always lead to failure or alter your gambling tactics because of emotion. Try to stay calm at all times & don't take stupid risks.
It's easier said than done. i've had many gambling session most of them ended in a loss, you know it's hard to control oneself if you're losing. you'll try to bet big amounts to get back up to your original deposit/profit amount, it's uncontrollable lol. You are correct, we could able to say it directly seems to easy but in the actual situation when you are already experiencing lose then for sure you cant able to control your emotions and rage which could cause for you to make such wrong decisions and end up lossing. Its really uncontrollable. I have been to that many times and I have found the reason why I can do that in gambling, the reason I found is that when we are gambling the amount that we cannot afford to lose we will be force to chase our bets because we are dictated by our emotions to win it back. |

From all this answers I see we can choose between ponzi schemes, gambling, trading. But more or less everything of this things is a gambling, so maybe its best thing to try it. Find some good strategy, or you can check google for some tutorials and sites offering some winning strategies.
i think if we know about investment in gambling, its a good investment but you still be careful when you want to make any investment. for me, i am lending some amount of bitcoin into market exchange and i think i am making some of bitcoin and i can see its really grow although its not a big amount. Actually it is, however you need to have a decent capital in order for you to make great profit, it is not that when we invest in a gambling sites our money will be double in a short period of time, it is like getting a certain percentage of growth on our investment in a monthly or weekly basis. |

Gambling is not wrong, till one getting addicted to it as well becoming more greedier upon winning few events. Also it is wrong when considered it an source for living rather than using it for fun with small earning as well loss.
I agree with you, gambling is just simply business and entertainment. The people who abused themselves for not using gambling in the right way is making themselves wrong with gambling. Because they are not knowing what is their priorities instead of more important things to cover up first, they are making gambling as their first love. I do not think that it is wrong to gamble because the adults can make there own decisions whether they want to gamble or not, nobody is forcing them. Yeah even if you're a pro you cant win without facing any losses. gambling is a risky game and its hard to make profit unless you are really lucky. thats why if you had the chance to win its better to stop already so you can enjoy your earnings for the day. You will win all the time if you know how to cheat but that will not succeed. In sports betting where I usually play my gambling hobbies, winning at least 53% would already give you a decent profit with a decent bankroll and professionals also are not hoping to have at least a 90% winning percentage because they know that it is impossible, however what matters to them is in the end they will in profit. |
