9081  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Scam Bitcointalk Sites Be Safe !!! on: February 18, 2019, 10:06:05 AM
I agree with you, you should be careful when clicking on any link even if it was the first result appears when doing a Google search.
Prevention is better than cure. Checking the site, installing extensions"metamask," visiting websites using official links will save you from scammers.

As for the site you mentioned"bitcointalk.TO," it does not seem to be a scam site, though I do not recommend visiting it and staying away from it.

There are a lot of discussions about that site you can find some here:[1][2]

[1] Request: add bitcointalk.TO to [phishing] list
[2] Is Bitcointalk.to same of Bitcointalk.org ?
9082  Other / Meta / Re: Merit number indicator on showPost list ? on: February 18, 2019, 09:34:46 AM
Personally, I do not consider it useful, it facilitates the work of campaign managers who are paid for doing this work, why do we help them?
Even if the suggestion is helpful, I do not expect it to be implemented soon so I suggest you write your "user-script" to solve this problem or hire someone to do it.

Also, if the turnout is sufficient, I suggest you post here ----> [Userscript] Report to moderator on post history.

If there's enough interest, we might turn the OP into a collection of userscripts (with small features that might actually be added to the forum in the long run if they turn out to be really useful for a lot of people).
9083  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Binance is going to de-list 5 coins on 22nd Feb (CLOAK, MOD, SALT, SUB & WINGS)! on: February 17, 2019, 06:21:18 PM
I wonder why these Shitcoins coins were listed? What are the criteria that led to such a decision?
If this was not a de-list from a famous platform, I thought it was just a price manipulation designed to make quick gains in short intervals.
I hope that more stringent new standards will be listed on Binance so that the inclusion in such platforms indicates the continuity of these currencies.
9084  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Coinmama Hacked 450,000 Users Affected in Massive Worldwide Breach on: February 17, 2019, 05:35:03 PM
The reports say this is the same hacker who hack some sites before and selling them on dark web for 20 000$ in bitcoin. Now he is asking 14 500$ for data hacked just few days ago. Considering amount of data it sells them pretty cheaply, but he/she still need to find buyer.
Add to that the seller sells data based on the user data and the difficulty in cracking password hashes, which means you are safe if you modify the password quickly.
The reason for the hacking does not seem to have been mentioned at the top, in related to the large number of hacked accounts, read more about that here: https://www.zdnet.com/article/127-million-user-records-from-8-companies-put-up-for-sale-on-the-dark-web/
9085  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: From crypto exchange to Payoneer? on: February 17, 2019, 03:22:26 PM
I made a simple review of the last posts made by this user and I think he was inquiring about bunq Bank. I do not know what the link between bunq and Payoneer is, but I think that's what he is looking for.

You can find more information on this page[1] and categorically quote this.

We do allow to make payment to bitcoin exchanges indeed! 👍 There's actually even a Bitcoin exchange that only works with bunq (although we're not associated with them 🙂): BL3P.

I do not know if there is a possibility of a transfer between bunq and Payoneer.
if you want to convert between BTC and Payoneer I advise you to use skrill. {BTC ----> skrill ---> Payoneer}

9086  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Are there any good escrow cryptocurrency websites? on: February 17, 2019, 02:42:26 PM
You can try some services that allow you to create an account and then transfer to cryptocurrencies like Skrill.
If you want to accept PayPal only you can ask any trusted member or try "Bitify.com PayPal to Bitcoin" After the completion of the work offer a conversion request, give the customer a PayPal address "of Bitify.com seller" and the transfer is made to your wallet.

9087  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: Portfolio apps on: February 17, 2019, 02:00:17 PM
The lack of these applications is interaction, I do not know how this interaction is created but in my opinion you should be tracking the balance and making decisions like analyzing news to make decisions.
For example, when there is a lot of discussion about a specific coin or event, the application sends me a message to increase my balance.
When the price drops, get a warning to sell the currency and buy another currency.
9088  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: Bitcolumnist - Distraction-Free Crypto News Aggregator (Available for Android) on: February 17, 2019, 01:22:33 PM
The risk of downloading a program from an unknown developer, without any evaluations, and closed source with the benefits obtained through it makes it difficult to download your application.
Make your application open source or re-designed to be a site.
Also, an environment free of distraction is a concern about how you manage profits.
9089  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin conceptualization in the context of globalization on: February 17, 2019, 12:47:43 PM
It would be true if the reason for using this technology is to create a new type of financial system without having to restrict previous central systems.

What is happening now is the shift from a new system of transactions to new speculative systems, all trying to create more currencies for unknown reasons.

Also, trying to create an infinite number of shitcoins reduces the likelihood of decentralization.
9090  Economy / Economics / Re: On evolution of prices on: February 17, 2019, 11:18:06 AM
What makes the price in a tight range? The limited number of Bitcoins makes it difficult to predict the stability of prices, especially with the increasing demand for cryptocurrencies.

The increasing numbers of currencies, especially Stablecoins "Shit-coins," makes possible manipulation possible, paving the way for correction once BTC is accepted globally.

So by mid-2020, the probability of volatility seems likely.
9091  Local / العملات البديلة (Altcoins) / Re: لماذا يجب عليك الأشتراك في الأيردروب ؟ حتى on: February 17, 2019, 10:46:24 AM

9092  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: WARNING! Don't even think about crypto investments until you read this! on: February 17, 2019, 09:40:47 AM
I like that fact, the number of people who make money in this market is very small compared to the number of people losing money.
The issue is different: in the early days, the purpose of cryptocurrencies "Bitcoin and some Alts" was not to make quick gains "speculation," but to conduct transactions away from the control of governments and central banking systems.

Many people who knew it after the middle of 2017 were motivated economically as the price remained on the rise but the number of people who lost their money is not large compared to those who made gains.

I remember the end of 2017 was impossible to treat because of the high fees and time of confirmations.

Think about it as a change and not an investment.
9093  Economy / Speculation / Why I'm Not Ready To Sell My Bitcoins on: February 17, 2019, 09:08:16 AM
Some people are worried about the current situation of Bitcoin price, many of them are afraid of collapse.
the title above does not talk about the present but about an article 6 years ago and let the writer speak:

Earlier today, the price of Bitcoins rose above $27 for the first time since 2011. That represents a doubling of the $13.50 price of Bitcoins at the start of 2013, which in turn, was nearly triple the $4.75 value of Bitcoins at the start of 2012.

Of course, $27 is not an all-time record price for Bitcoins. The record-high price of just under $32 was reached on June 8, 2011. The price then crashed, falling to a low of $2 in November of 2011.

Based on what happened in the past, imagine how the situation will be after 6 years.
Stop worry and just HODLING  Cool Cool.
9094  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin Fees Can Be Cheaper Depending on the Timezone on: February 16, 2019, 06:06:35 PM
Regardless of where the nodes or the miners are situated, there seems to be no clear daily variation of pattern to the global hashrate - https://data.bitcoinity.org/bitcoin/hashrate/30d?g=15&r=hour&t=l.
The study ignores all influences and focuses on the temporal factor. Countries such as Latin America and Southeast Asia have been found to account for a large part of global transactions, which means there is an increase in tx during the day and lower fees during the evening.

In other words, through your timeline, you can pay much fewer fees.
9095  Local / العملات البديلة (Altcoins) / Re: Binance تحذف هذه العملات on: February 16, 2019, 09:42:23 AM

9096  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: [IOTH] IoT Home - FAKE TEAM-Plagiarized Whitepaper on: February 16, 2019, 09:08:58 AM
This work seems to be done by beginners in an attempt to raise money using the common name of "IoT" technology.
Everything is forged in this site and appear to be copied and pasted from many sites.
The white paper looks funny and mostly from this site IoT networks overview, whitepaper link: https://iothome.store/whitepaper.pdf.
Also, there are errors in some links such as Discuss on the BitcoinTalk | Github page this link for [ANN][PIVX] - PRIVATE INSTANT VERIFIED TRANSACTION - PROOF OF STAKE - ZEROCOIN
9097  Other / Meta / Re: Modlog for the self-moderated threads? on: February 16, 2019, 08:28:28 AM
The purpose of the Modlog's report is to review the conduct of mods and thus investigate any abuse of the system. People can complain about abuse based on that report. *IMHO*
It's quite different when we talk about self-moderated threads, it's up to those who create the topics to set rules.

As for abuses, it is better to show deleted posts that have earned merits.

9098  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Bitcoin Fees Can Be Cheaper Depending on the Timezone on: February 16, 2019, 07:52:52 AM
In this new study by Diar, a company based on the analysis of digital currency data[1], stated in its February 13, 2019 edition, that Bitcoin transactions fees charges vary according to the regions in which users live and timezones.

According to the study[2], found that the fees for sending 1 BTC vary considerably during the day, as spending money during the day "UTC" costs far more than spending overnight.
This is different for those living in Australia and Japan.

The graph shows more:
[Fees per Kb More Than Double-Up From 12AM vs 1PM UTC (Sats)]

9099  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Coinmama security breach? on: February 16, 2019, 07:23:53 AM
The company "Coinmama" does not seem to know exactly what happened, because commenting on the cause and nature of the hacks seems strange. [Given the dated nature of the published data, we have no reason to suspect that any other Coinmama systems are compromised]
Also, the data relates to registered users until August 5th, 2017.

In addition, I think the reason for their suspicions is that someone who tried to sell millions of user data in one of the dark Web sites "Dream Market."
Also, it is not known whether the individual is hacked or the data has been hacked by and wants to re-sell it.

9100  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Dangerous Links on This Forum? on: February 14, 2019, 03:39:31 PM
No. Install NoScript extension (which block JavaScript by default) and make whitelist is better solution.
I agree with @ETFBitcoin, one of the best add-ons is NoScript Extension. I use it on my Firefox and I feel a little safe even when I click on unfamiliar links.
It blocks so many unfamiliar scripts by default and it's only you who can unblock them.
Prevention is better than treatment, in addition to what has been mentioned above, you do not need to click on the link to know the site.
Stop the cursor at any link, you will see a small box below the browser, check it before pressing.
