9081  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: I am recovering my BTC from 2015 lol on: November 10, 2018, 07:14:56 AM
Damn op. You are one lucky guy. I know so many people who lost their Bitcoin and other cryptocurrency assets and never recovered them due to the complications involved, but you are one of the lucky ones clearly.

I advise HODLING that BTC though since you could be losing a big portion of profits if Bitcoin rallies in the future which it most likely will. HODLING is the better strategy in this scenario. The icing on the cake is the fact that you recovered your lost BTC during the holiday season.

9082  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Will Bitcoin rise in 2019 on: November 08, 2018, 07:01:10 AM
who said that nobody saw that coming in ? honestly speaking, i even saw a lot of peoples were expecting it to move around $4000~ more or less than that.
peoples realized the fact that Bitcoin moved up crazily due to hype instead of organic growth, that was why a lot of peoples were expecting this.
about similiar pattern, nobody knows because lately Bitcoin broke every pattern.
like usually got pumped after or at tax day , conference and many more, but in reality it did not.
however, we can not deny the fact that in 2020 we are going to see another halving which means the rewards will be decreased by a half. that means we must push the price up at least for more than $6000. Because if we do not push it up, the miners will not mine it again and usually the price increased a few months before the halving and it started in july a year before the halving. so i am expecting and hoping it to work as it used to be.
I agree. This makes more sense overall when compared to other theories which are being thrown around these days. The only other reasons that Bitcoin could pump like crazy is if some big country decides to adopt Bitcoin or if the ETF proposal gets approved(Low chances) which is why I am not pinning my hopes on any of these reasons. What people need to understand is that 2017 was an exception and not the norm in this extremely volatile cryptocurrency market which is why it is better to not depend completely on this market for your daily livelihood.
9083  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Morgan Stanley Report Shows Strong Institutional Investment for Bitcoin on: November 07, 2018, 05:55:26 AM
I honestly don't give a damn about such reports since they have little to no influence on the cryptocurrency market at the end of the day. I am simply waiting to see if SEC approves the proposal which they have been postponing for quite sometime now.

This will ultimately decide how 2019 will play out. If they do approve it, 2019 could see another bull market which could be far better when compared to the one in 2017. If declined, 2019 will basically be a repeat of 2018.

9084  Bitcoin / Hardware wallets / Re: Please Buy a Hardware Wallet on: November 06, 2018, 06:41:09 AM
Very useful post op. It is sad to see so many people investing so less time into securing their assets which is the primary reason why they end up losing their money to hackers and scammers in the first place and they blame everyone else instead of blaming themselves for it. I find such individuals seriously pathetic and they really need to improve their brain power at the earliest in my opinion. I advise everyone to invest into a hardware wallet that you can afford as soon as possible. The alternative choice here is to use a desktop wallet instead of leaving your funds on an exchange.
9085  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Are you guess a bull run in this year? on: November 05, 2018, 05:59:31 AM
Hello, friends in last year around this time we had a bull run. But in this year we are still waiting for that. If you have any idea about that?
So many people are anxiously waiting for this time. Some have even lost hope of it coming. I think we should be optimistic about it. It will still come, but the time is what no one can tell. You just continue with your normal activities and when it is time, it would come.
When it came last year, we were not all clamouring for it before seeing it. It came on its own accord. So we just stop worrying and panicking.

Exactly. No one expected the bull run during this time last year which is why it is pointless trying to predict when the next bull run will arrive. I see so many people saying that there won't be a bull run for the remainder of this year.

This may be true, but it might be completely false and Bitcoin could surge like crazy just like year surprising everyone which is why I learned a long time ago that it is pointless trying to analyse this market over the long term.

Focus on HODLING your coins over the long run instead of focusing on when the next bull run will arrive which is a much better strategy and don't get swayed by the opinions of naysayers.
9086  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Today is the 10th anniversary of Bitcoin on: November 03, 2018, 05:42:09 AM
The Machine marches forward, a great day. The community has weathered many storms and will weather many more, but I cannot help but think of the Late Jaques Fresco: He didn't have time to worry about how people would interpret his drive to make a better world, we too must be like him.
Now is the time to begin making businesses, Factories, physical locations to drive Cryptocurrency into the business cycle; this will prevent big drops, though it will require new accounting methods that we have yet to develop if we are to maintain the viability of these businesses.

For the People! For the Revolution!

I applaud your motivation and I too feel that cryptocurrencies are still in their early stages at the moment and have a long way to go. The legitimate coins like Bitcoin, Ethereum, Ripple, Litecoin, Stellar etc will survive in the long term.

The less popular coins and tokens will most likely continue to disappear over time and this will boost the popularity of the big coins even further. I am confident that crypto will go mainstream in the next 5 years.

The volatility of this market has been going down over time which is a good thing since Bitcoin will be viewed as a stable currency like FIAT and people will feel less hesitant to trade with BTC when compared to the last couple of years.
9087  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: BTC Prices Predicting Software on: November 02, 2018, 05:41:46 AM
Pointless in my honest opinion. How do you expect bots to precisely predict the prices of cryptocurrencies considering how volatile this market is? This is not feasible and anyone marketing something like this would be considered a scammer. I knew several people who scammed people in the past in this particular manner which is why I do not recommend developing such softwares since the human aspect is missing as everyone else mentioned. Signal bots are a bit better in my opinion since they prove to be useful now and then and I have earned decent profits through them.
9088  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Knowledge from the bearish run on: November 01, 2018, 05:58:11 AM
Let's recap the lesson from the recent bearish run, before u invest in any cryptocurrency.

1. make sure u do an intensive research,
2. never stop believing in urself and when things go wrong, u will learn a big lesson and be happy u did your best than following a footstep u know nothing about,

Good luck
You must add to trust instincts because other than our effort, its the natural skills is what we need and that is our instinctively thinking..

Many aspiring traders are making research, technical Analysis and speculative decisions but they forgot to use this internal ability fo help us get through this.

If we become successful then thats the prize we can get from all this effort

You do realize that this is an extremely volatile market where instincts don't really help much, don't you? It is far better to practically trade in this market rather than becoming emotional and investing purely based on emotion.

This is what usually tends to make people lose a lot of money and basically whine about it and blame everyone else, but not themselves which is seriously deplorable. HODLING is the best strategy in the long run in my opinion.

Choose a strategy that works best for you and invest based on logic and be practical about it.
9089  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: More exchanges then new traders on: October 30, 2018, 06:05:40 AM
I agree with you op. There are way too many exchanges these days and am seriously not interested in any of the new exchanges(Decentralized or not) since it does not matter too much when the market conditions are bad at the moment.

I strongly advise everyone to invest only into reputable exchanges like Binance, Bittrex etc since they have proved themselves over the years, but store your coins in a hardware wallet since online exchanges are prone to hacks no matter how good their security is.

I feel that many new exchanges will shut shop pretty quickly due to bad volumes, fraudulent owners etc which is why only the popular exchanges will continue to function in the long run.
9090  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin is about to collapse this week on: October 29, 2018, 06:20:46 AM
Your username says a lot about you op. Do you seriously expect people to believe you especially considering your ranking in this forum? This thread is a joke. Bitcoin has survived far worse situations in the past and has always come out on top.

What makes you think that it won't survive now all of a sudden? Bitcoin could potentially rally again by the end of the year due to BAKKT and many other reasons which is why you need to think before writing such useless posts.
9091  Economy / Speculation / Re: guess the price before 12december BAKKT ([btc]GAME[btc]) on: October 28, 2018, 08:41:17 AM
$10303 in my opinion.

I strongly feel that the ending of the year coupled with the BAKKT will help Bitcoin and the entire market rally again(Not in an insane manner like in 2017) which will help the market start 2019 on a strong note.
9092  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Do you still believe in crypto? on: October 27, 2018, 06:42:48 AM
Majority of the people who have joined the cryptocurrency market have joined for financial reasons and for absolutely nothing else which is quite obvious considering the fact that it is possible to earn millions of dollars through minimal effort which is an ultra rare method of getting rich and is far more reliable when compared to lotteries, jackpots etc.

I had joined for similar reasons, but I gained interest in the technology behind Bitcoin and other popular cryptocurrencies over time through which I began believing that popular cryptocurrencies are here to stay and will not disappear no matter what happens. I will always believe in cryptocurrencies.

9094  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Will cryptocurrency be a key financial sector in the future? on: October 26, 2018, 05:52:32 AM
That depends on a multitude of factors. These are the primary factors that need to be considered here:

- Mainstream adoption of cryptocurrencies
- Stability in terms of the volatility of Bitcoin and other major cryptocurrencies
- Reduced successful hacks on cryptocurrency exchanges leading to better security
- Approved proposals for institutional investors to invest into this market
- More focus on the real world use cases of Bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies along with their underlying technologies

I firmly believe that these factors will need to be strongly considered when answering your question op.
9095  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin Related Crimes Surge on: October 25, 2018, 06:34:33 AM
Criminals will always try to steal money whenever they find an opportunity which is why I don't find this news to be surprising at all. This is the world that we live in. Ever since cryptocurrencies gained more prominence last year, hackers understood clearly that this is a gold mine waiting to be hacked. This is why we have been hearing stories about exchanges getting hacked especially this year. This is why you need to secure all your cryptocurrency assets in a secure and effective manner preferably by using a hardware wallet like Trezor which is beneficial in the long run.
9096  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: I stopped trading. 3 reasons why. on: October 24, 2018, 05:57:47 AM
When the market is mostly flat with more tendencies to fall than rise, it can be indeed stressful. The risks are bigger and the profit may not be great.
Yes, these are not conditions anybody can continue. But no worries, keep your eyes open, the good days will be back sooner or later.

I agree. The entire market is basically trading sideways these days with very little volatility which is a double edged sword. It is a good thing because it helps Bitcoin and many popular cryptocurrencies more attractive in the long run.

It is a bad thing because there are far fewer opportunities to earn insane profits from a falling market. This is the reason I always advise trading only during a bull market since trading during a bear market is far too cumbersome and is not worth the stress if you ask me.
9097  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Satoshi's original idea... on: October 22, 2018, 06:06:38 AM
I don't think that the main purpose of Sayoshi creating bitcoin was to be rebllious; he just wanted to help people to have a say in the growing financial markets even without the help of the banks. Micropayments was never the main goal, too, but seeing the potential of the trust-less P2P cash system he devised, it was also noted (of course) to let people know what they can do with the coin. If I have a project that I wanted to share, I'd state all of its capabilities and weakness, too, so what Satoshi included on bitcoin's whitepaper is normally what any other project developers/creators would do, too.

As you can see, bitcoin is already a great tool for micropayments due to the recent scaling solution (SegWit)  and some people in poverty-stricken countries are utilizing the value of bitcoin to live day-to-day (Venezuela). These visions were somewhat addressed by his creations today, and there's really nothing to argue about bitcoin's true purpose as in the end, it still gets the job done.

I agree. I never felt that Satoshi's main goal was to cause more problems(As if we don't have enough already) and instead focused on solving issues like the ability to conduct financial transactions online without any sort of outside interference as you stated. This is the primary reason why I even decided to join this market in the first place since it honestly felt like a dream to me. I never thought that there would be a possibility of conducting online transactions online anonymously in this manner which is what Satoshi was looking to accomplish in my opinion.
9098  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: This is the best time to invest and join bounty campaigns on: October 21, 2018, 06:22:40 AM
I agree with you, just not about bounties.
I would say we should work hard to set aside real world money to straight up buy btc.
Of course, doing bounties on the side can be good, but I would rather spend my precious time with a real full time job then with unreliable bounties.

As far as bottoming out goes, yes, the market has proven we have bottomed out.
BTC has been in the $6000s for 2 months and has never dipped below.
This is great stability and a strong sign things will pump.

Rather than doing other things, I recommend to just stick with btc.
In the end, you have to convert it all to btc for fiat anyways.
Watch your investment go 4x by jan. then sell and win!

This is still a risky strategy since no one knows how long it will take for the cryptocurrency market to rally again like crazy. There is no guarantee that Bitcoin will rise again in January 2019 which is why such predictions make no sense.

The best way to earn through this market based on my experience is by HODLING for the long term and not entirely depending on cryptocurrencies for your daily wages which is far more likely to turn out profitable in the long run.

I am currently HODLING all my Bitcoins as well as altcoins and am selling only when absolutely necessary since I have invested for the long term and I have no problem staying patient for many years.
9099  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What's your guess for how high Ripple XRP prices will go? There's a limit. on: October 18, 2018, 06:20:48 AM
10,000? Seriously? How did you come up with such an insane figure? Ripple reaching $100 would itself be crazy which is why I feel that your statement makes no sense op. I strongly believe that Ripple will settle somewhere in between the $1 and $2 in the long term if the market rallies in an insane manner like in 2017 which itself would be a big boost to Ripple which is what matters at the end of the day. I don't see many banks adopting it anytime soon, but it is possible in the long term though which is why I feel that constant developments will continue pushing it in the right direction.
