9122  Economy / Speculation / Re: Do you think Bitcoinica should switch to TradeHill? [Edited] on: January 18, 2012, 11:47:06 PM

Ok I'll bite.

Have you considered how difficult it would be for you to offer payment services?

Why would you enter the thread just to say something negative? As an adult, dont you find it inappropriate to just enter the thread to dispraise a 17 year old in his business venture... As a matter of fact, it seems like mr.Tong is the adult (for not calling you an asshole, which you clearly are) and you are the "kid".

hmmm, I did not interpret phantomcircuit's post like that at all

I thought he was just urging Z to build a portal out to the fiat economy, which we desperately need
9123  Economy / Speculation / Re: RALLY! on: January 18, 2012, 09:29:53 PM
awesome, the glowing red eyes totally pull the whole thing together
9124  Economy / Speculation / Re: Well, it's settling down. Where will it go from here? on: January 18, 2012, 09:09:10 PM

9125  Economy / Speculation / Re: Peeps with serious cash and banking contacts just heard about bitcoin. on: January 18, 2012, 08:36:37 PM
scarcity of hot nerds?
9126  Economy / Speculation / Re: Thinking about buying more coins on: January 18, 2012, 08:11:11 PM
yeah, you are pretty much right

we beat the average, when we do, by identifying trends and trading channels

left field crap like yesterday is endemic to this market and can break any way at any time

best videogame I ever played
9127  Economy / Speculation / Re: Thinking about buying more coins on: January 18, 2012, 07:33:31 PM
I have $100 on the slow boat to dwolla, will increase my position about 40%

I'm postulating a test of uptrend support near 5 in two days...give or take
9128  Economy / Speculation / Re: Do you think Bitcoinica should switch to TradeHill? [Edited] on: January 18, 2012, 07:19:02 PM
My understanding is that Singapore is one of the freest markets in the world.
9129  Economy / Speculation / Re: Thinking about buying more coins on: January 18, 2012, 07:08:37 PM
the overhang of early mined coins is a real concern

some have surely been lost in the manner of most ones and zeros

some I am sure are held by deep thinking folks with other than mercenary motives, they did, after all, join the effort when it was about the farthest thing from a sure thing one could imagine

still, your point is well taken...the temptation to cash out has to be very strong
9130  Economy / Speculation / Re: Remember remember the thread of the year, and what greed can do on: January 18, 2012, 06:17:49 PM
I'll bump this

amazing thread
9131  Economy / Speculation / clark moody back up on: January 18, 2012, 05:49:12 PM

9133  Economy / Speculation / Re: Thinking about buying more coins on: January 18, 2012, 05:19:56 PM
patience, we retest the long term uptrend in a couple days
9134  Economy / Speculation / Re: Ok we're on our way back up! on: January 18, 2012, 05:18:19 PM
Lets hope it goes enough to liquidate the shorts.

Let's hope it goes enough to liquidate all day traders.

you cant liquidate those of us who do not leverage or short

we actually play a stabilizing role buffering the swings trying to buy low and sell high
9135  Economy / Speculation / Re: Well, it's settling down. Where will it go from here? on: January 18, 2012, 05:12:37 PM
I am fairly optimistic

I thought the big swing was going to buzz down to 5.55 and then break lower in a total rout

instead we weather 3 more large profit takings and settle near 5.70

It is true. the long term uptrend is yet to even be tested in this recent turn of events, we should test it some time in the next couple days
9136  Economy / Speculation / Re: And we have the manipulator who caused the crash on: January 18, 2012, 06:44:37 AM
other thread seems to be locked, just spent a half hour reading it though

Oh My God

If nothing happens... ignore button.   Lips sealed

lol, I think that would be unwise

9139  Economy / Speculation / Re: Think of this as a Practice Fire Drill on: January 18, 2012, 05:22:53 AM

Dang!  Kicking some Ace...

dumb luck, I assure you

the lag was so bad it was a total crap shoot, my best move, the buy at 5.27, was 20 minutes old and I had long "cancelled" it in disgust when it posted

I rather suspect this is what the operators around the turn of the 19th to the 20th century felt like waiting for the telegraph
9140  Economy / Speculation / Re: Think of this as a Practice Fire Drill on: January 18, 2012, 04:50:17 AM
nice job there poolmate!

I'm running
sell @ $5.78
buy @ $5.27
sell @ $6.80
buy @ $6.30

took a little haircut to get short again at 6.15, then the GF wouldn't clear the terminal and missed that last downspike...I need to be more assertive about my needs
