What is important in your opinion when choosing a platform for yourself? What is worth paying attention to?
First point would be the platform's reputation. You don't want to go where there are problems or high delays in handling various issues, including the deposits and withdrawals. Then the liquidity on the trade pair you want should be at reasonable levels. The fees - trading and also deposit/withdrawal - are quite important too. After this I think that's all personal choice. Some prefer the ones where KYC is not needed, for example. You should also be prepared to see a lot of annoying trading bots wherever you go. In some places they may be more or less annoying, you'll have to look around for yourself.

WRONG AUDIENCE
Indeed. Instead of quoting (!?!) shouldn't just simply be reported? We talk about Bitcoin here (more or less ![Cheesy](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/cheesy.gif) )

i hope this does not happen over and over again.
I am reporting such topics almost every week. Some show more data, some just imply that. However, selling illegal stuff is against bitcointalk rules and such topics have to be reported for deletion. Without us reporting it's not easy for mods to find them fast.

after some mods deleted my threads without ever explaining why, I lost a lot of interest in fleshing out a forum post -- just to hope it isn't taken down
Ultimately I'm a video creator and not a writer. I do enjoy writing from time to time
I've seen that you are a content creator. Well done. Just this forum is about discussing, not about redirecting to your content. There are rules about that and since you are at the limit (and sometimes beyond) of those rules, it's not unexpected that some reported your topics and they got deleted. As the others also posted here, you have to provide here more info, some basis for a discussion here. Even quoting some relevant parts from your article(s) can be a step forward. A smaller list of links also would be nice. I don't say this to criticize you and it's ultimately you who has to decide if you make the topics forum friendly or grow angry about the deleted topics. Just this works better on written articles..

Tthe litigation is clearly contradicting centralized issues tokens against bitcoin which could also be a net positive.
I don't deny that neither the ICO companies, nor the exchanges are 100% clean, at least morally, although the legislation may have been not existing or not clear. And yes, we need proper laws in this sector too and everybody following them. But such a lawsuit may not actually bring any significant advance in the matter and I still think it's just low.

I lost my BTC as my laptop got hacked and I had my seed stored in it somewhere
The fact it's the second time and you understand your mistakes only after you lose money tells that are quite far from really understanding how security works. I recommend you consider buying a hardware wallet. A proper one starts at about 60 EUR (even less when there are special offers) and it worth it. I think that you probably lost more than that already.

The same litigation firm
I think that they didn't lose a penny because of those ICOs/tokens. I think that they've simply sniffed the smell of money and try to make a case in a way at least one of those exchanges will pay them a fat amount as settlement. They are seeing crypto space as a cow to be milked. Same as CSW does.

To all those who have been in the campaign since the beginning, congratulations on 150 weeks who are behind them - and I wish everyone at least that many successful weeks ![Wink](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/wink.gif) Woah, congrats! I envy you guys ![Smiley](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/smiley.gif) And congrats Chipmixer, since this most probably also means good profitability for such a long time!

There are (at least) 2 types of exchanges where you can change fiat into crypto. I am not great with terms, so maybe the names I'll use are not correct, but the principle is.
1. The order based exchanges. You deposit money, usually with bank transfer. When the transfer is done (may be days) your account is credited. When the account is credited you can make buy order(s) and the exchange will match with other people's sell orders when the price is matching (to keep it simple). (So all happens at the prices from when the money has arrived, not the prices from when it was sent, obviously.) When the match is done, you get the crypto minus the exchange fee (usually around 0.2% iirc). The crypto you got is still in exchange's wallet. For a certain fee (they call it transaction fee, but usually it's bigger than the Bitcoin network transaction fee) you can withdraw your coins into your own wallet. (!! Make sure you read about wallets and about keeping your funds safe !!)
2. The instant exchanges. Here you usually pay with card, but not necessarily. They will handle all the tasks from [1] type exchange for you, will do this "instantly", but the exchange rate will be a bit worse than in [1] exchange (because they don't work for free, right?). They may also send the result to your own wallet. If it's done with card their exchange rate depends on the current real exchange rate. If it's done with bank transfer I don't know, they may have it written somewhere. Since they don't know how long will take until they're credited by the bank, I'd say that you should expect that a future exchange rate will be used.
The video talks about something close to [2], just you seem to have to deposit first. After that they work with the money (and coins) in your account. The exchange rate is based on the "current" price, but as I said, they have extra fees for doing certain operations for you.
Edit: you can see at 0:42 that there's a certain available balance

From what I see you want to sell Science Fiction novels. What you propose is very difficult (or maybe still impossible) to implement and it'll have a huge cost. Not feasible for most humans yet (not talking only about the people in this forum). Also, unless you have something working, you are selling a dream. And unless you represent a reputable company backed by even more reputable companies, your proposal is closer to a scam than to real business.
So the backing must be stated. Also in such deployments the security against hack is important to be discussed.

I do wish you would flesh out more when you post here instead of setting the clicks to you tube.
Check his topics history. All they do is to redirect to his blog, his youtube channel, his ref links, his social media.. everything. It's just a business advertised on bitcointalk imho. (Of course I don't deny that some of the topics he covers are useful).

Yeah I noticed that but Hex is growing incredibly, so I thought differently.
Why that? Usually what looks too good to be true, probably it's not good at all. However, don't take my word for it. It's your money and you have to do as you think. btw can you please suggest some of good projects to invest ? And did you aware about POS? if Yes can you please let me know some PoS based projects ?
I usually avoid PoS since it tends to become slowly worthless, since nobody puts much effort in it and they just sell. I do have some money in WAVES (LPoS), but it has fallen a lot, proving exactly that point. So no, unfortunately I don't have any good suggestion now. Now I'd simply go for the established coins. (But again you should go as you think.)

If you search a little about HEX you'll see that a big number of people call it scam / Ponzi. You can start here: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5207757.0And you can continue with a search for Hex and Ponzi, for example. (Of course, its advertising goes on, but that doesn't mean much.) DYOR, really. Asking around may help, but in some cases the information is easy to find just by investing 20 extra seconds in a web search. And I don't know about 2local.

Even if it isn't Satoshi's true birthday (though he might be using some reverse psychology here), this date might be significant because Satoshi wanted it to be significant
I can agree with this logic. Then..(now late) Happy Birthday Satoshi, wherever you are (and whoever you are too).

The actual governments are tied to their own interests and old way of thinking. That ensures the current economic model remain, or at least change way too slow.
They don't have plans for this literally, From what I know, the only thing a government does in a mandate is to make sure they'll get re-elected. Of course, this is not written down nor said in public "literally". We are all prepared on how to destroy other's nation
My (Utopian) model was with one government for entire Earth and the regional ones will all go under this. That should hopefully end that stupid rivalry. I really think at this very moment that we are facing an extinction but it is very overreaction of me.
Although the news look bad, we are extremely far from extinction, thankfully. This mess just shows how ... obsolete is our "modern medicine" and how useless the current governments and law enforcement agencies are. I actually loved your idea , but then there will be a problem with democratic government
Indeed, it would be something (meritocracy?) that will replace democracy. Modern(?) democracy is just a stupid game of fooling the masses to vote and choose between people they don't know and a game to keep the hard-to-manipulate ones at home in the voting day. We need to evolve. However, one big problem in my logic is how to get the ones that'll judge / interview the candidates, but I see that no one was thinking that far. Also the current governments will all have to fall. Difficult.

I am almost sure the chosen date is not his birth date and indeed it can be tied to outlawing gold bullion, if that's the date. So imho it's not that special.
I'm not sure what that clown does at the bottom of the topic. (Well, I know, but .. I hope you understand what I mean.)

Usually fonts, color combinations in logo, graphics can be subject to copyright. The options I see are: 1. ask them if they allow you do this 2. do it and be prepared to pay if they find out/ask/start a lawsuit 3. make your own from scratch with proper designer and such and make your own advertising
You have to have quite some funds for any of the cases and the only advantage I see for your idea of copying is to target the audience of that series as customers for you. I would not be so sure that many of them would come to your casino just because of this and this could cause you troubles [see #2] quite early.

The actual governments are tied to their own interests and old way of thinking. That ensures the current economic model remain, or at least change way too slow.
I think that the way to go wold be to change the way the governments "work". I think that we need one and only government for entire world, of course with (semi?) autonomous regions, and all the individuals governing should get there after CV and interview based recruiting/hiring. Like in a proper company. They would have to work well, else they'd get fired. Such model would ensure better economic models too and one currency for all (which then can be even Bitcoin).
Of course this is utopia, would require a world wide revolution (and even that may not be enough),

After backing out from the initial prediction he should never be quoted again. Of course, he wants to be under the highlights, so he made another prediction and of course the blogs and newspapers had something to write about so they can display their ads. That's clear. What I don't understand is why would someone.. open those links...
