9161  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin's alternative. on: August 30, 2016, 12:43:07 PM
I have been thinking about this and thought to put it here what's on my mind.
Just think that if some other altcoin has the potential to take place of bitcoins, like people are talking about Monero to take its place because of its privacy and security, what would happen to bitcoins? Is there any altcoin currently which can do this? And if yes, what would be the effect on bitcoins?

People here ask the same question over and over again.

What if some altcoin becomes more popular that bitcoin?

I would say "great".It`s a market economy,it`s a honest competition.If some altcoin beats bitcoin,it

probably will have more and better advantages than bitcoin, which is better for us.

9162  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why do the peoples use the Bitcoin? on: August 30, 2016, 06:05:40 AM
Bitcoin is just a currency like all others, just the transaction fee, and slow transaction sometimes, there is no difference with other currencies.
Why do peoples use Bitcoin?
Bitcoin will change what in currencies world?

There is a difference and it`s not only one.

Transaction fees are smaller.

Transactions are irreversible.

Bitcoin is more anonymous.

Bitcoin price is more volatile, which makes btc a good investment.

And yes, those advantages can be  flaws. It depends of the situation.
9163  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: We need a strategy! on: August 30, 2016, 06:00:51 AM
We've got to get together and think of some clever strategy to get this thing back from Blockstream!!!  I can't believe they took over complete control of Bitcoin and now everyone is walking away.  Stupid Chinese miners are a pussies!

Now, how are we going to get it back?  What is our plan to pry this away from Blockstream?

Maybe Bitcoin mining is profitable only in China because of the cheap hardware and cheap electricity.

Try bitcoin mining in USA or anywere in the western world and the more you mine ,the more you lose money.

Bitcoin still has some value because of the demand coming from China,i guess...

9164  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How to explain bitcoin to teenagers or children on: August 30, 2016, 05:54:00 AM
Bitcoin is difficult to explain. I also felt difficulties in understanding bitcoin for the firs time. Let's share how to explain bitcoin to children of teenagers. In My country I can say 98% children don't know bitcoin. In fact, bitcoin can be future money. If the children not familiar with cryptocurrency or bitcoin, how can they face the digital era in the future.

Teenagers are smart enough to understand bitcoin.

I don`t know what`s the point of explaining bitcoin to children.

They just won`t use btc because they are still woung and don`t need money.

They have parents to give them money. Grin
9165  Economy / Economics / Re: Will the US Dollar dominate bitcoin trading on: August 28, 2016, 04:05:01 PM
The US dollar has been dictating most of the trades world wide from crude oil to anything.  Is there a possibility that it will dominate in the trading of Bitcoin?

US dollar dominates bitcoin trading now.Why are you asking this question, when the answer is obvious.

USD is the world`s most popular and used currency and this isn`t going to change soon.
9166  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Fake Wallets on Apple Store on: August 28, 2016, 04:01:43 PM

There are even more fake/malware bitcoin wallets/apps for android devices.

That`s why i will never use a mobile app wallet for my btc.

9167  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: how strong is bitcoin really? on: August 28, 2016, 08:57:48 AM
We know that bitcoin is strong and all the wallets have milletry grade security but one of my stupid friend today said that maybe someone can hack it with just a calculater because with math and correct formulas we can even predict gambling bets if that is possible then maybe there is any chance of this

What do you mean by "strong"?Do you mean secure?

Bitcoin wallets are secure enough and your freind is wrong.

You need more powerfull computers and not just a calculator to hack anything.
9168  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: If one day BTC cannot be traded for cash, what will you do? on: August 28, 2016, 08:53:51 AM
I will spend all my bitcoins on Purse.io.

 Cheesy  Cheesy

I will trade my bitcoins for gold or silver. Grin

Purse.io is a good idea as well.

I don`t think that this will happen.
9169  Other / Archival / Re: Would you keepuse Bitcoin if government says bitcoin is illegal in your country? on: August 27, 2016, 05:51:45 AM
As we know, some country banned bitcoin and it's illegal to use/own bitcoin there. But, i see some people who still use bitcoin even they know the risk.
So, would you keep use Bitcoin if government says bitcoin is illegal in your country? Even if they could spy you on internet?

If that really happened my country (i hope it won't happen), i would still use bitcoin, but i would use tor browser and paid/trusted VPN to do any bitcoin activity.

More info (might be not up to date) :
1. Legality of bitcoin by country
2. Is Bitcoin Legal?

I would still use bitcoin even if it`s banned in my country.

Bitcoin is outside government control and we have to keep it outside government control.

Banning bitcoin is illegal.
9170  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: When will be see bitcoin as international currency? on: August 27, 2016, 05:48:22 AM
As people are awarding of bitcoin & its potential. When we can see bitcoin as international currency? Huh

Bitcoin IS an international currency right now.

People all over the world can buy and sell bitcoins.

Why are you asking this question?
9171  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Skills vs Luck *poll* on: August 26, 2016, 02:19:41 PM
When trading What Matters More Skills or Luck?

I wouldn`t say that luck is a factor in trading.Luck is a factor in gambling.

You need skills that will help you  predict where the market price will go.

Technical and fundamental analysis of markets is very important.
9172  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: 175 Quadrillion Zimbabwean Dollars Now Equals 0.02164502 BTC on: August 26, 2016, 02:13:20 PM
175 Quadrillion Zimbabwean Dollars Now Equals $5

Quote
HARARE, Zimbabwe — Zimbabweans will start exchanging quadrillions of local dollars for a few U.S. dollars next week, as President Robert Mugabe's government discards its virtually worthless national currency.

Robert Mugabe is a total idiot who became a dictator.

His economic policy is a total failure and still there`s no revolution or rebellion in Zimbabwe.

By the way,i don`t know why do you have to compare zimbabwean dollars with btc.
9173  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What is there to do with bitcoins these days ? on: August 26, 2016, 02:09:40 PM
Besides using it as a currency it seems like its impossible to make money off of bitcoins unless you already have some serious cash , mining bitcoins is long done nd over with nd its seems like trading/exchange doesnt give you much of a profit , so im just wonding as someone just now arriving to this dead party whats there to do with bitcoin ?

There is still bitcoin gambling,if you have skills at poker or other games.

You can sell digital goods and services or join a sig camp.

There are some opportunities.I wouldn`t call this a "dead party".
9174  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Does verification when trading BTC for PayPal really help in case of chargeback? on: August 26, 2016, 06:10:02 AM
So I am exploring the option to perhaps become a trader in the near future. I see a lot of trades for PayPal on LBC require ID verification. I understand the reasoning since PayPal is reversible. While I think it would definitely help as a deterrent for people to try to issue chargebacks, what happens if someone charges back even after being verified. As I understand trading BTC for PayPal is forbidden according to their rules, so I am thinking there is a chance they would ban both the buyer and seller.

What experience do you guys have in this matter? Has anyone ever tried to chargeback you after ID verification? Did you manage to get your money back?

I don`t think that ID verification can help all the time. The other guy can still chargeback with paypal.

ID verification is more like using the buyers personal info as a collateral to guarantee that there won`t be any

scam attemps and the deal will happen smoothly.

That`s just my opinion...
9175  Economy / Economics / Re: If bitcoin price is $10.000, will fiat be worthless? on: August 26, 2016, 05:59:55 AM
In one of the topics I read "If bitcoin will reach $10.000, fiat currency has become worthless"
Do you agree with this statement?

No.I don`t think that fiat will become worthless.

I don`t think that bitcoin will ever reach $10,000.Maybe it will reach $1000 again.

Fiat currencies will always have value, because they are guaranteed by central banks.
9176  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Mining on: August 26, 2016, 05:53:06 AM
OK, so i now understand the Purchasing of Bitcoins thanks to this Forum. But now I am wondering how to mine. Is it safe? Is it hard? If anyone can help me that would be great!

Mining on a normal PC isn`t profiable and it`s a waste of time and energy.

You need to purchase hardware in order to mine bitcoins.

Yes.Mining is safe. It`s just not worth it.

9177  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: "Bitcoin is at serious risk of becoming the MySpace of cryptocurrency" - Gavin on: August 25, 2016, 03:07:23 PM
Days after Segwit code is released in Bitcoin Core 0.13.0, Gavin Andresen is back doing the rounds arguing for bigger blocks. Anyone smell another coup attempt brewing here? I suppose we all should have seen this coming.

Quote
Bitcoin is at serious risk of becoming the MySpace of cryptocurrency because it is failing to scale.
https://www.reddit.com/r/Bitcoin/comments/4z70jm/bitcoincoredev_bitcoin_core_0130_released/d6u5mpt

Now he argues that wanting to validate every Bitcoin transaction is "irrational." In other words, he suggests we toss the entire full node security model into the trash bin.

Quote
I HAVE done the research, your connection sucks compared to most of the rest of the world-- but why should the rest of the network be crippled because you have an irrational desire to validate every single Bitcoin transaction?
https://www.reddit.com/r/Bitcoin/comments/4z70jm/bitcoincoredev_bitcoin_core_0130_released/d6u0grb

This guy is a snake. Expect news to emerge in the coming weeks regarding new attempts to hard fork Bitcoin.

And remember: Always run a full node. Enforcing the consensus rules is your only security over your Bitcoin. Let's fork these assholes off our network when they try to change the rules.

Bitcoin isn`t "the Myspace of cryptocurrencies" bitcoin is "the facebook". Grin

Btc is failing to scale because of people like this one.

I don`t care about his "theory".
9178  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: BTC Business Ideas? on: August 25, 2016, 02:59:40 PM
Any business ideas you can think of with bitcoin? Something online or real life/offline whatever where you can put some decent amount of BTC and it has the potential of growing?

If there is a really good idea, the guy with the idea won`t share it for free to the community

because he/she wants to make profit and grow his/her own business.

Just be creative and invent your own idea.

9179  Other / Off-topic / Re: how bitcoin is popular in your country ? on: August 25, 2016, 02:56:22 PM

9180  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Two things are certain: Bitcoin and Taxes on: August 25, 2016, 10:18:38 AM
I doubt many of you care at this moment what Bitcoin is capable of achieving.

Most likely one of the most efficient automated taxation schemes on planet Earth.

I believe many of you gamblers and builders of the Bitcoin ecosystem haven't paid a dime yet to any of your local governments (that require them).

It's starts with voluntary taxation (exchange fees and transaction fees) but just wait until just the right "Federal Reserve" type coin gets released and fully adopted.

Then be prepared to repeat history as you breathe life into the new "State of Government".

Easy money comes at a large price.

Nothing in life is free.

Are you ready to sell your seed right up the river?

So quick to lay a brick on a building that should be condemned?

WHEN LARGE FINANCIAL INSTITUTIONS ADOPT BLOCKCHAIN TECHNOLOGY IT IS BECAUSE THEY SEE ABSOLUTE UNTESTABLE POWER.

The animals start the engine and then they show the world how bad you are mucking it up then they take it over.

It's that simple.

Bagged, tagged, and taxed.

I don`t see where is the problem.Everyone has to pay their taxes.

If you earnings are in bitcoins, you have to pay taxes.Bitcoin is not tax free.

I`m not ready to sell my seed right up the river. Grin
