Hi murderouskirk,

Thanks for mining on the pool! The hour graph shows that you have a mean of 18.3 Kh/s. Your miner needs to contribute a valid share to be included in the payout. With the pool at 25 Mh/s there may be long periods of time where your not able to contribute a valid share.
922  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][CSC] CasinoCoin - The Premiere Coin for Online Casino Gaming | On Cryptsy! on: December 09, 2013, 02:23:55 AM
I guess it should be clarified that Dev1 is proposing an entirely new coin using the same name but different symbol (CAC).

Nothing will happen to the original Casinocoin (CSC). It will continue operating and trading as it has been. The original is quite healthy with a 60 Mh/s hash rate and active trading on Cryptsy.

Unfortunately the original dev is still MIA so no one is actively seeking development of the coin. If there is someone who is capable of developing a market for the original Casinocoin (CSC) there could be a bright future for it. There is actually quite an opportunity for someone to take over development of the original Casinocoin (CSC).

Thanks Dev1. I am impressed with your replies and openness. Instead of a PM maybe you can post your ideas in a thread so the community can vote?
Please post a link to the new thread here since people who only track certain threads may not notice it.

If the decision to use Casinocoin as the name is made it would be interesting to see how that develops. I believe it would be the first time a new coin is released with the same name as a current one?
924  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][CSC] CasinoCoin - The Premiere Coin for Online Casino Gaming | On Cryptsy! on: December 07, 2013, 04:08:09 AM
I understand that you want to create a new coin because you didn't create the specifications for this one but have you considered using a different name?

Betcoin
Pokercoin
Vegascoin (or just Vegas)
SIN (think of some acronym that works)
CC (little too close to Casinocoin but it is different)
etc....

It is also not out of the question (although harder to get consensus) to modify the specifications of Casinocoin to fit certain needs.....but I would recommend considering a different name.

Even though the original Dev is MIA the coin is actively traded and has recently seen hashing levels of around 80 Mh/s.

Sad to see this happening. The poster under the name "casinocoin" is not continuing the development of this coin but starting a whole different one with the same name and stolen graphics!  Cry

I think this will cause confusion and is unnecessary as the original Casinocoin is launched, operational, and traded on Cryptsy.
926  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: My Custom Case Build on: December 05, 2013, 10:38:05 PM
Thanks zedicus!

I have enough clearance to have just a bit of space between the  CPU fan and bottom of the PCIe riser cards. On the top side there is enough to clear the power cables in case I decided to enclose the case with a top.

Currently the cards are not secured to the inner frame. They are just resting on it. In earlier pictures I showed and had planned to secure the cards with another piece of aluminum but the spacing for it was lost due to the rivet being too low. Not a big deal as it will not need to be moved but when it does the GPUs will need to be removed.

6 GPUs may be the max this case will support utilizing just the stock GPU fans. 7 may make them too cramped to allow adequate airflow.

Thanks for the heads up. The pool was down. It is a bug that was introduced with version 13.3 of p2pool that I thought was addressed with a recent patch. Apparently it is still an issue.

To reduce DOA on Casinocoin you may want to try: --queue 0 --scan-time 1 --expiry 1
I think minerd only supports the --scan-time flag though.

I think there is an opportunity for someone to take over this coin. The price is very low so you could acquire a substantial amount before you start to develop markets and services. It had a fair launch, is listed on cryptsy and has a working blockchain.
929  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][CSC] CasinoCoin - The Premiere Coin for Online Casino Gaming | On Cryptsy! on: December 03, 2013, 11:41:35 PM
is xpool dead? i sent my miners there but no payouts.. ; (

A hard limit of 40 miners was reached. It has been increased to 80.

Also consider using --queue 0 --scan-time 1 --expiry 1 to reduce DOA.

Not sure why but the pool has received an influx of new miners (40+):

Finally got another card installed for a total of 6. I am at my power limit (15.656 amps) so this will be it until I can get more utility power.

New code to address 5% error that occasionally comes up requiring a restart of the node.

Updated Digitalcoin to new coin specifications.

Block Reward changed from 20 to 15 coins
Block time changed from 20 to 40 seconds
Spread changed from 90 to 45.

Changed version identifier to not conflict with older DGC p2pool nodes.

Please update your nodes with new code from https://github.com/CartmanSPC/p2pool

DELETE the Digitalcoin folder from the Data directory first!

Thanks dragon695! No plans to close it. Will keep it going and updated as long as there are miners. I double checked the other day and we are on the latest version of the client. I remember having to recode the software to support the new coin specifications so it was ready for the hardfork when it happened.
What I mean is yesterday someone tried to 51% attack and doublespend WDC. It was caught, but you have to download new client and redownload the blockchain.

Thanks for the heads up. WDC client updated to v0.6.4.6.

Now that I know about the DGC bank, things are becoming clearer by the minute. This is just more of the same old sockpuppet parade I had to endure with IFC.

Thanks for the song.

Your WDC pool is fair and I've used it a number of times. I hope you'll keep it going. I hope you caught the WDC hardfork. I wish you had a MEC pool, too.

BTW, the source code for the pools are available on GitHub: github.com/CartmanSPC

Hippie Tech, if you have any concerns about being scammed consider reviewing the source code and even running your own node. As you may already know all the nodes work together to form one giant pool. The more the better Smiley
