921  Bitcoin / Mining speculation / Re: Antminer S8 ? on: May 11, 2016, 01:10:25 PM
Rumors on the BTC ether:

S9 builds already out of stock, the Swedes already bought them all.

https://www.miningsweden.se/product/mining-shares-200-gh-s9-antminers/

They forgot some zero's here & there in the descriptions of the hashing power to rent via the so called S9 capabilities.

Mining Shares 200 GH – S9 Antminers

$49.95
SKU: MS9200 Category: Mining Shares

Company-share
Mining Sweden Antminer S9 2000GH Shares (MS9)

$479.00
SKU: MS92000 Category: Mining Shares
--------------------------
Product Description

We have now information about that the new S9 miner soon will come out on the market so now you can preorder your mining shares with the new S9 Miners.

2000 GH S9 Mining including all costs for 12 months.

This product doesn’t start mining before we have them in the farm

can you buy it directly? what are the spec of this new s9?

It's a cloud site trying to get buzz with this sale.  They offer NO details on S9 let alone a date it comes online.  So they are offering a certain amount of a S9... they don't even need to know final specs to do this.

It all seems very shady to me personally.  I would not pre-order "Mining Shares" just due to them putting up a S9 sale that offers no details.
922  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: 0.3 btc in a week on: May 11, 2016, 12:27:55 AM
You can offer a service to people of the forum and save up the btc  Cheesy. Or you can join a signature campaign and post quality posts. So you can save up to 0.3 btc

No signature campaign currently is close to the .3 BTC number.   So it will not really happen in a week even with the best paying ones.

Having a service/skill is much more likely to lead to .3 per week, or fiat pay from a job you can buy BTC with.  I know this week a bought a couple books for learning.  Never a bad thing to pick up something new.

Did not think about it but with message coming out Sunday about stopping operations wonder if anyone made money going against BTCS stock Monday at opening- http://finance.yahoo.com/echarts?s=BTCS+Interactive#{%22range%22:%225d%22,%22allowChartStacking%22:true}

And this thread sure is interesting to watch to say the least.

924  Economy / Reputation / Re: KWH IS USING TRUST INCORRECTLY? GIVE YOUR OPINION! on: May 10, 2016, 11:47:34 PM
Are you able to explain more how you got a positive vouch for it?   And how did you come to realize it did not work?  You left a glowing review saying of huge profits.... so one would assume you tested it before saying that.   So I think that is where a lot of logical people start to have trouble.

Hello everyone,

I got a vouch copy from the user, and as the OP already said, you will not be doing anything illegal by yourself.
It is actually a very easy method, but yeah it is not very recommend to do. However you can massively profit from it Smiley

Going from a vouch like that to saying it is fake just is like a 180 going opposite way.  Then to say you deleted everything to do with it all......  I think you are going to have a hard time getting the neg's removed unless you can give a logical anwser to how you came up with vouch.   The "NOTE: this method is kinda illegal" should have screamed to stay away from it.

I think you would be better off explaining what happened like the questions I asked vs. just calling out the person who gave neg. But that is just my 2 cents.
925  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Before you get HEAVILY invested in ETH Mining you should read this on: May 10, 2016, 10:34:43 PM
It was a crazy time GPU's were selling out due to miners... what did AMD do?  They raised price.... and it still ran out for a while till it all kinda crashed.

This time with ETH is nothing like last time as far as effects on GPU sales.   Just not the running out of cards as we saw long ago in the "old days".

This time, the price also rose. I bough at few nano at £379, a week later the price became £425. So it happened this time.

Still nothing compared to rates in "old day's" they jacked up like 50 percent at end if I remember right.  And they still sold out.  There were certain models of AMD they just could not keep in stock.

Just being able to log on and go to amazon/newegg and buy a GPU makes it far from different then "old days". Heck I watched newegg and newegg.ca the canada site for a while got in cards when other did not.
926  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: REMOTE DESKTOP BIG PROBLEM PLEASE HELP on: May 10, 2016, 06:57:01 PM
Watch out for programs like teamviewer or even remote desktop option.
Its opening potential backdoor in your system.

It is a widely used program that even some business's use.  I would not describe it as a backdoor.... as you know it's allowing you to connect to your machine. So treat account as such that is used to log in.   Honestly check it out - https://www.teamviewer.com/en/download/current-version/

Would I put it on a machine being used as a wallet? No.. you should treat them with extra security.  But would I install it on a PC to connect to miners when away from home, or to connect to PC's that mine with GPUs sure.

I'm not making it up you can see how popular it is just by searching.  Here is some of it's security - http://www.teamviewer.com/en/security/    .  Before jumping to thinking it is a backdoor look at Velkro's trust to see what kinda person your getting info on security from - https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=trust;u=303026

927  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: How can I benefit from btc? on: May 10, 2016, 06:49:17 PM
Every person has their own reason for using Bitcoin over other payment methods... The benefits I get from this :

~ No charge backs {merchant benefit}
~ Fast transactions online
~ Cross border Remittance with lower fees
~ Micro transactions
~ A more secure online payment method than credit cards and PayPal {IF you use it correctly}
~ Pseudo anonymity online { Once again, if you use it correctly}

Bitcoin is a financial breakthrough and a disruptive force and it's just COOL to use something that are not controlled by governments or centralized services with absurd rules and regulations.  Roll Eyes

Use it at own risk... beware it's highly addictive.  Grin Grin Grin

On the one I bolded I'm not 100 percent sure on that.  I think it depends on which side of transaction you are on if buying or selling.  Selling yes it's great that there is no charge back and security behind.

But once upon a time I was new  (long ago Smiley ) and pre-ordered a terrahash miner using a credit card/pay pal allowed me to get my money back when those that paid BTC sadly lost it all.   So I had security against scam's as a buyer that BTC does not offer (unless talking about using escrow).
928  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: How earn Bitcoins fast and free?? on: May 10, 2016, 06:45:25 PM
Lots of opinion here are great but i dont know how to start it. this is my first time to find source where can i get more bitcoin im just one of the faucet bitcollector.. but i only earns few cents..

Faucets are good at initial stage but it is very time consuming, but you can grow your account take it to certain level and join good signature campaign.

build account can take a long time, probably about 2.5 months to get a better result in the signature campaign.
My advice to buy a potential account at a low price, if you really want to seriously join the signature campaign.

Yes buying directly high rank account will be an good option, as you can start earning bitcoin as soon as you join any campaign and you can recover your money in short period.

I suggest raising your own account from ground up.  You can have good quality posts from beginning it won't look like a crappy farmed account, or a sold account due to you putting in the time and effort.

Full member is the big jump on pay for signature campaigns.  So it really is a reachable goal.  Just takes time and effort but I think your results will be much better then buying.
929  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: REMOTE DESKTOP BIG PROBLEM PLEASE HELP on: May 10, 2016, 06:41:17 PM
Look at teamviewer it is a program you can load on your PC's and access them from anywhere.  They even have android/Ios versions so some phones can connect which is nice.   It run's where even if you IP changes you still can connect so dhcp IP's are not even a issue.  Many great features.

It is free for personal use and very easy to install.  I suggest taking a look at it.
930  Bitcoin / Mining speculation / Re: i want to start mining but have some question on: May 10, 2016, 06:37:42 PM
I think to start mine not only the price of electricity is a problem, but about the support tools will you use it will certainly affect the cost of electricity in the future  Wink

I think you missed the part about being in Venezuela.  The price is really cheap on electricity (extremly so).  But there is energy crisis, political, google it there is just a ton of bad things happening.

OP getting enough UPS's to run 10 S7's even through outages... would be very expensive.  He really does need hosting elsewhere.
931  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: ANTMINER S7 is available at bitmaintech.com with 4.86TH/s, 0.25J/GH on: May 10, 2016, 06:31:09 PM
Do not use Bitmain, they are slacking hard in warranty & communications. It takes days for them to reply to request & if you end up with a bad unit or board, boards you have to pay for shipping all the way back to Hong Kong & wait, wait, wait, wait & wait.

My S7-F1 already has a board that has failed after a little over a week. Now I am stuck with no option but to send the board to Colorado and end up paying 40- 200 bucks for repair or replacement cost. Or wait months to get Bitmain HK to honor the warranty. Time is bitcoin Bitmain HK & you suck on customer support & for not fully quality testing your products before shipping them to customers.

So many people on Bitmains facebook page with bad reviews & issues, plus they wont even reply to any message you send them.

I would talk to them they actually have been on the forums with a bigger presence in last bit.   But if you just got a new S7 direct from them it would be in the 90 day  warranty so you pay to ship to them on bad unit.... but warranty covers replacement.  So not sure where you got info from on paying for replacement if it truly is 1 week old and you ordered direct from bitmain.

Have you emailed the info@bitmaintech.com with problem and include order details, etc?
932  Bitcoin / Mining speculation / Re: Diff thread Apr 28 to May 12? picks are closed!!.... prize = 0.30 btc on: May 10, 2016, 06:24:04 PM
I can smell the new Gen hardware from here now Tongue Just kidding but it looks like it !

Or cashing in on last gen gear is also possible.  The companies have at cheapest cost likely will ever have on current gen.  So if they have electricity for a few cents... they could make some last profits before having.   It makes sense for some makers to do this.

I just hope they don't go crazy cashing out BTC to fiat.  I really want to see BTC value go back to 460+ were above 450+ still at least.  So not all terrible news I guess.
933  Bitcoin / Mining speculation / Re: i want to start mining but have some question on: May 10, 2016, 06:21:41 PM
I wouldn't recommend mining now if you do not have millions of dollars worth of hardware even if you have free electricity. It is no longer profitable for new miners to get in to farm btc, unless you are filthy rich to begin with. If not the other mega farms will simply outline you,and they have already roied many many many times since before you started
im not l;ooking on getting rich with this, im looking to make atleast some money im aiming for like 1500$ per month with 10 antminers s7.. it can be done by this time? if not can u explain me why? since antminer s7 especification say that it will mine 4.7 ht/s..

edit: im not worry about energy crisis, where im planing to put my miners theres no problem with electricity

It's all speculation no one can say a guarantee of getting X per month.  With difficulty changes it can change greatly just look at this period, change may be a good amount (possibly 10 percent).   Also keep in mind having coming up that will cut amount of BTC in half.

Normally I would suggest going in a little slower.   Try 1 or 2 out see how it works with sound/heat/electricity.   And move on from there depending on results.  Do you have electrical set up for 10?  Do you have the PDU's and other equipment there?  Do you have cooling ready?  What is area like you will be putting them in?

I think starting off with 1 or 2 specifically with location would be a smarter bet.
i have the cooling ready, but about shortage and unknow electric problem that there could be, can i fully protect my antminers with UPS? how many UPS i would need? if i got 2 antminers i should get 2 UPS with atlest 1200 wats?

Seriously, you are wasting your money.  Stop.

Hosting somewhere else is what is needed.   A UPS that run a S7 for long... doubt there are many of those out there.  I would think you would be just as worried about surge protection if power goes in/out and possibly surges through equipment.

Your country may one day be a good place to host.... but currently it is not.  Look at hosting elsewhere is honestly best anwser.

Dear Everyone

I need advice on what kind of setup  i need to generate 2 bitcoins per month?

Please advise both hardware based and cloud based solutions

Thank you.

Only hardware you need - and obviously you dont have - is a brain

It is one post account ... i tried to give benefit of doubt and help.  But I think it's likely this is dead thread:

935  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Before you get HEAVILY invested in ETH Mining you should read this on: May 10, 2016, 01:31:15 PM

i think its amazing that neither AMD nor Nnvidia has a pure mining GPU card.

Imagine the market ... a gamer buys 1 "ok" card ..  a miner buys 2-500 of them..

I'm sure that AMD has seen a spike in their cards and correlated it with mining. I'd imagine that in their boardroom there is a long term plan to make sure mining is more viable.
Think about it. Spread a few million $ around us hobby miners and what is the return in brand loyalty etc.. It's very very high.
I can't believe that AMD hasn't realized this and made a coin that you  can use to buy their products and is min-able with only their cards. I BET it happens.

Go look at the quarter reports or yearly GPU sales. Nvidia and AMD sell probably 10 million GPUs every year. There are maybe 100,000 mining right now. And most were the old GPUs like 7950 which were built 4-5 years ago.

They don't make that much profit with miners.

This,we are a VERY VERY small segment of GPU sales.............so don't hold your breath  Cheesy

Its actually not that small.

Its a niche id tap for sure.

Received my payout for last week. I am waiting for the new campaign details to be released. Smiley.

Payments appear to have went out.  Thanks Marco for getting them out!  You really have done a good job on getting them out in a timely manor on past few, it is much appreciated.
937  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: How to make money on bitcointalk? on: May 10, 2016, 11:45:25 AM
The best way to find some good profit is:
- Buy Bitcoins at $450
- Wait 3 months
- Sell at $500+

None of these methods have anything to do with bitcointalk though.  Topic is making money on the forums so methods that use the forums and cause a gain in BTC.   Buying BTC is a valid investment, but it does not have anything to do with forum.

Think selling services, signature campaign, etc.  Those are what is relevant with this thread.
938  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: How earn 1BTC a year? on: May 10, 2016, 11:42:32 AM
If you have the capital to altcoin trading you will get 1 btc a year.
1 btc a year it is very possible to ge it.
Just Trading, faucet and signature campaign you can make more than 1 btc a year

I don't agree there is not certainty with altcoin trading to where a gain is guaranteed, let alone a 1 BTC gain.  There are just a lot of pump and dump coins out there so you will not see this sure bet thing.  It is a gamble on most of the altcoins out there.

Can you show what altcoins you invested in during past year with amounts?  And show that you gained the 1 BTC profit.
939  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: How earn Bitcoins fast and free?? on: May 10, 2016, 11:39:04 AM
It is impossible to earning bitcoin fast and free. You can earn free in faucets but its too low. But if you will earn fast you can use gambling but risk to lose your btc.

This whole thread pretty much leads to signature threads.  Most methods such as faucets just are too low of pay for the amount of time you put in.  With signature campaign I can do my normal posting and get a little coin for doing it.  I still would argue it is not fast, I spend a TON of time into the forum and my posts do take time.  But I enjoy it... so getting paid for it is a bonus.

I would never go to gambling to raise BTC.  Overall if you do that say each week with earnings, you will lose more then you win.  Just how gambling works.
940  Bitcoin / Mining speculation / Re: i want to start mining but have some question on: May 10, 2016, 11:33:02 AM
Before anything else, you might want to read the following article, in which two bitcoin miners were arrested in Venezuela: https://www.cryptocoinsnews.com/report-two-venezuelans-arrested-mining-bitcoin/
So would you risk yourself and your investment like this? Because you might get arrested there too and never get any ROI.

You will be needing 8 x Antminers S7 to get $1500 per month (assuming no network difficulty change, which there is all the time). Aside from everybody's comments, you should make sure that it's noise wouldn't be a problem for you (these are very loud, just look at some YouTube videos).

I also asked about where it's going aswell as even if it is legal I don't see most places having enough electricity in Venezuela to run 10 S7's.  So we really need to know a lot more about his mining location and what it can handle.

I still stand by he should start smaller maybe 1 or two even (specifically due to location as if mining is ok, it still has a ton of other problems).   I can't imagine in a electric shortage a jump of 10 S7's not being noticed.

So hosting somewhere truly is better option even though OP will not like that option.
