VTC volume is always on top now, so it could be possible. If it's the case, it will be the long way.
922  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: noob at mining altcoins on: November 06, 2017, 05:37:50 AM
With 1070 card, you could mine many coins at good hashrate. I prefer ZEC/ZEN/VTC/FTC/XZC/KMD and Bitcoin Gold in next week (maybe).

The trading volume is looking good.

I'm just curious why you dont hold some ETH based on its large market cap and liquidity. Also, is that too risk for 44% XRP?

Thanks!
925  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Best Masternode for $1000 on: November 04, 2017, 05:22:11 PM
Check at this: https://masternodes.pro/

Vivo looks like good for me.

Vivo looks too good to be true  Huh Surely those figures can't be correct?!

I'm not sure about this, but this coin looks good.
My current budget for altcoin is not enough to invest on Vivo mater node, so I plan to sell some BTC after segwitt2x for it, but still need comments and advises from someone who already invest in Vivo masternode about how many coins they really earn.
926  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Looking for new altcoin to mine on: November 04, 2017, 10:41:28 AM
Some of my 1060 rigs are mining FTC, VTC and ZEN. Actually the profit is not much now, but I mine and hold coins maybe in 6 months.

EVGA 1070 Ti SC  75% PL (135w) +175 core + 550 mem (micron) 520 sols using DSTM's miner.

520sol/s at 75% power limit is really great. Btw, have you been tested it with ETH mining?
929  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: What to buy for a mining a rig/Just a GPU(graphics card) or? on: November 02, 2017, 04:55:19 PM
I think you should decide which coin you want to mine first, then find appropriate GPU for it (reference at whattomine.com for GPU vs. algorithm). Basically, build a mining rig is making a computer with: Mainboard + CPU + RAM + PSU + SSD/HDD, so for mining you purchase more: GPUs + Riser.

I learn a lot from this channel, so hope this help!

With powerful CPU, you should mine Monero (XMR) or Magi (XMG).
931  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: How to mine Bitcoin Gold? on: November 02, 2017, 02:11:01 PM
They just announced "All of the mined block will be invalidated and everything will start from block 1210320."
So it means I mined 12 hours for nothing.

Of course. This was a "testnet" mining...

Thank you very much!

I've just involved to mining not that long so just learnt sth today Cheesy

Btw, I think they (I mined in pool.gold) should notice miners like "You are mining worthless testnet coins currently" as Suprnova.cc did:

932  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: 1070 Ti benchmarked in Eth & Zec on: November 02, 2017, 02:06:21 PM
First test results can be found here - https://ithardware.pl/testyirecenzje/test_msi_geforce_gtx_1070_ti_gaming-4244-13.html (only in Polish, although charts speak for themselves). Results are inconclusive (a bit too low <30 MH/s ETH, <500 sol/s ZEC), but see for yourself.

It doesnt make sense for me why 1070Ti only hash <30Mh/s while 1070 could achieve 32Mh/s?

Here's a video tutorial on how to mine Bitcoin Gold https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=d5ABXafFU_w

Thank for sharing! Btw, does BTC address really work in BTG mining?
936  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: GPU mining VS ASIC mining on: November 02, 2017, 04:47:38 AM
If you could purchase ASIC miner at very first batch, you could ROI in about 4 months or less, otherwise, it should be 10+ months.
I prefer GPU mining, it gives me more options on altcoins.

For people that have asked for BTG.
ZM works fine on BTG pools.

Yeah I tested it. But I dont know which address I should use, until now official wallet has not released yet. I saw many miners use BTC address for mining BTG, even someone use Zcash address.
938  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin Gold (BTG) on: November 02, 2017, 02:43:31 AM
I just took a few minutes and figured out with certainty how to generate BTCG paper wallets before any wallet exists.

If you got to Shatoshi labs GitHub, it has a list of coins who have applied for a BIP44 coin key and their coin number. BTCG registered and got number 156. Now, if you go to the Coinomi Mnemonic Generator and generate a phrase - It doesn't matter which coin you choose first, because all that does is change the "Coin" number under the Derivation Path. Now, manually input 156 into the "Coin" field, and you will get m/44'/156'/0'/0 as your BIP32 derivation field, which is what BTCG will be using. Now just grab your private key, mnemonic phrase, and first couple public addresses. You're good to go. If you do it correctly your public addresses should begin with an A or a G.

Shatoshi labs GitHub: https://github.com/satoshilabs/slips/blob/master/slip-0044.md
Coinomi Mnemonic Generator: https://coinomi.com/recovery-phrase-tool.html

Edit: Also, the coinomi generator can be saved locally and used without any internet connection to generate paper wallets for many coins on a non internet connected PC for complete safety! Plus there is a testnet to test mining on now if you look at the twitter. Claymore Zcash miner for AMD. EWBF Zcash miner for NVIDIA. Both working perfectly.

Cheers!

Thanks! Btw, is it possible to use BTC address to mine on that testnet site? I saw many miners use BTC address, even someone use Zcash address.

Btw minepool.gold is "502 Bad Gateway" now.
940  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: How to mine Bitcoin Gold? on: November 02, 2017, 12:18:35 AM
I saw many miners are using BTC address, but for 3 of miners who found most blocks:

mizMR1rRWmu8vuiBcMVCSHXY3jX36HszRb - not sure which wallet

n3x65RhcX3iSZDQj7rDg7v2G7ZrRN5z2pb - not sure which wallet

t1emzuNbemjqnEhEue74NL3BxsR4cA1ajfP - Zcash transparent address

I'm so confused now.
