921  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Best litecoin exchange? Looking to sell or trade on: December 16, 2013, 09:51:27 AM
I don't mind doing a trade on here for bit coin or any other coin which is popular? I'll send first if you can be trusted or reputable.

Either send me your offers ( X amount of LTC for X amount of BTC) or suggest a good exchange.

Is 10% off the exchange value a reasonable discount? Please let me know what is reasonable.

Cryptsy is trusted, at least I have no issues. Why you want sell the ltc for less? You can trust Cryptsy more than users here
922  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: mtgox is going to be an scam? on: December 16, 2013, 09:44:37 AM
If they are "the biggest" one exchange portal for biitcoins, how they earn money or how they can go bankruptcy? They have only money from fees?

Freezed US bank accounts + expensive lawyers  Huh
There must be reason why USD withdrawals can take months - no doubt they face legal actions when such delays
923  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: mtgox is going to be an scam? on: December 16, 2013, 09:33:31 AM
Not a scam but very risky in my opinion. I wouldnt be surprised about closeup and bankruptcy
924  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Student loan of 1000$; What currency would YOU invest in? on: December 11, 2013, 06:41:09 PM
Speculating with small amounts of borrowed money will get you nowhere. In your case, investing in your education is the way to go - attend a language course, learn a skill, etc. It may not be as exciting as dumping all the money into a "get-rich-quick" scheme, but it is almost certain to provide you with a greater return in the long run.

I believe the loan will be paid after his studies ended and he is employed. So if he spend it now, it doesnt matter if for new phone/comp or Bitcoin
925  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Bitcoins for college fund for my son. Thoughts ideas... on: December 11, 2013, 06:33:16 PM
Is that mining contract feasibly have a ROI?

I doubt mining could make ROI, this is why I preffer just buying coins now.
926  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Coinbase making extra money? on: December 09, 2013, 12:53:44 AM

They have a $20 difference so they are making $20 + the fee. Is that right, or is it just better buying it somewhere else? Do other exchanges do it as well?

Yes, exchanges have such difference as well, during hectic times about $100
927  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: What does the China Bitcoin ban mean? on: December 09, 2013, 12:50:48 AM
Why? What was the reason behind all this?

Just to spread FUD, dump coins, panic sell starts and rebuy cheap coins. Simply profit
928  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin going up again on: December 09, 2013, 12:48:11 AM
I dont recommend buying now, but instead just waiting to see what happens next week and have buy orders placed under $700
929  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Mining dead for home users? on: December 09, 2013, 12:44:13 AM
you can always mine a scrypt altcoin and just swap it out for bitcoins

This is the best use for our GPU cards, so in some indirect way GPU mining Bitcoins is not dead, thanks to alt coins
930  Other / Off-topic / Re: 0 btc transaction fee on: December 04, 2013, 06:40:20 PM
once I try this and send some payment without fees but its never confirm and back in my wallet after 48 hours

It is blockchain.info wallet, but Bitcoin-qt client would broadcast this transaction forever
931  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: $1000 per Bitcoin - Just a bubble on: December 04, 2013, 06:34:20 PM
A lot of the things you said were true. Bitcoin is currently seeing a bubble in its pricing.

However, only part of the price increase is a bubble. A lot of it is actual infrastructure being developed and installed. The volatility of the price will eventually decrease when more companies start having a relatively larger share of input power within the network. Before, anytime Mt.Gox got hit, Bitcoin got hit. Now it's not the case so much, because companies like Coinbase have captured a bit more market share.

The more time that goes into Bitcoin, the more real outputs will come out of it.

It isn't all a bubble.

I agree Bitcoin infrastructure needs to be developed, and the current price is just anticipation for where Bitcoin will be in near future (not years)
932  Economy / Speculation / Re: Final Price of bitcoin to stabilize at? on: November 30, 2013, 01:21:47 AM
But, now that you mention it, if other world currencies are not stable against each other, what chance Bitcoin has.

Obviously not absolute stability for example between 1250 and 1500 many years, but just some level like around 1000

933  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: BitCoin as tulips (?) on: November 30, 2013, 01:10:37 AM
The first two are real and exist and the last is a worthless made-up magic invisible internet scam?

Did you heard about Casascius coins ?

934  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Looking for a scrypt based mining rig to rent on: November 30, 2013, 01:05:41 AM
You might find more likely someone in Marketplace, Alternative coins or Services section
Use escrow
935  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: 1.49 stolen on: November 30, 2013, 01:01:56 AM
Is it really that easy to steal from a blockchain wallet?

Did the OP download something malicious? or could it have been as simple as a bad link?

Phishing attacks works well if you dont have two factor authorization for sending your BTC
936  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Block Erupter USB suddenly more expensive? on: November 25, 2013, 11:51:56 PM
However I did just take a look; I got it for $25 back when the difficulty was at 67m, it probably mined .14 bitcoin, with a max profit of $119. So 119-25=94 or so each, almost $200 profit.
So.................. Even though at the time it was the stupidest idea on the face of the earth to buy it, turns out it was a reasonable deal.

Not so fast. You paid about 0.25 BTC for the erupter. Subtract the 0.14 BTC it mined, and you so far have lost only 0.11 BTC ($90).

If he bought the erupter for $25, he is in profit indeed, but he missed even bigger profit if he just bought BTC instead.
937  Economy / Speculation / Re: 1 Million dollars per coin by year 2020. I am not kidding. on: November 25, 2013, 11:43:31 PM
maybe. but most people wont hold their coins. so thats the problem (for the most)

Quite opposite, coins in circulation is best for Bitcoin adoption.
938  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Would like some opinions on alt coins on: November 25, 2013, 11:35:51 PM
Hi, I'm a newcomer that only began taking on an interest in BTC in the past few weeks when it made some big jumps and was featured in a senate hearing.

While Bitcoin is obviously making moves, I'm also interested in the alt-cryptocurrencies as I can totally see them making gains on the coattails of Bitcoin's success as BTC moves more into the mainstream. I've followed some of the bigger altcoins such as Litecoin, Novacoin, and Namecoin, and just wanted to know, what exactly determines the success of an alt-cryptocurrency? A lot of the time I just hear people saying they are all just clones of BTC with little or no features that make them special, and that they're often just pump and dump schemes or premined at early difficulties giving the founders/early adopters massive unfair advantages..

I'd just like to know what separates the legit alt-coins from the bogus ones.

Im not fan of altcoins,  but the longer the altcoins is operating normally (relative stable or increasing difficulty) the less likely it is just pump and dump scheme. But you can never be sure, merchants are not accepting these coins for a reason
939  Economy / Speculation / Re: awesome on: November 25, 2013, 11:27:13 PM
Bitcoin basically is electronic gold, only better. It's scarce, can't be counterfeited or inflated, it has no weight and can't be confiscated or destroyed by uncle Sam.

Well , history has already contradicted this point. Let's wait another year and look back at this.
Maybe there will be another one wrong.
If you are thinking about SR or Gox holding people hostage, that falls under willingly handing your money over to someone else. I'm talking about cracking wallets. From what I understand it is as close to impossible as anything computer related gets.

What about dig your paper wallet with most of your BTC pretty well, and place next to your safe box. You can reveal the one in safe box only !
940  Economy / Speculation / Re: Will Gold and Silver lose all its speculative value to Bitcoin? on: November 22, 2013, 12:59:25 AM
Gold is tangible.  Bitcoin can aspire to tap into the gold market sure, but gold is still a better store of value because it requires nothing to exist.  Bitcoin will always require electricity.

Tangibility is actually an undesirable property. Time will show everyone because superior currencies will win in the end.

True, we will see but gold is not trying to be a currency.  It's store of value.

Not only store of value, gold is used in electronic and some other areas as well. It is usefull metal
