921  Bitcoin / Legal / Re: Buying Property With Crypto (Bitcoin) on: May 27, 2022, 09:39:13 PM
Are you able to buy a property with Bitcoin yet?

Im mainly looking to buy in Asia, Thailand, and Vietnam region.

Can I buy directly with a Bitcoin transaction or would this need to be converted into FIAT at some point?

There are real estate websites for buying property in Crypto but Im not sure how they facilitate that.

Perhaps they take the BTC then send the fiat themself and act as an escrow.

Would love the Bitcoin Talk opinions on this.
 Grin
I don't think in mutual agreement there would be any major problem in buying property in exchange of bitcoin, only problem I see here is the problem with registration of this property generally in such cases of property transfers the consideration that is involved is fiat and which is noted in the records and is also used to calculate various taxes and duties, if we are saying that bitcoin will be used for the exchange you will have to note this thing as consideration but how much is the legal validity of bitcoin as a consideration this is a really big question in itself.
922  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Tether loses 10 billion dollars on: May 27, 2022, 09:34:36 PM
Investors have taken out 10 billion dollars out of tether in these past few weeks according to The Guardian
You can visuals it better by looking at their marketcap graph: https://imgur.com/Q5s0Sgk

as you can see this has never happened before and the people who are selling out their USDTs are not your average joes but rather the whales,so what do you think ? Do they know something we dont ?
Even though on this scale I do see this as a giant collapse in absolute terms obviously but if you clearly see there have been some minor hiccups in the overall chart earlier also which means that there have been times earlier also when such things have happened, one major reason could be some upcoming bullish movement reduction in the amount of USDT might mean people are going to buy alts in upcoming month. It's too difficult to talk about consequences of such a small thing.
923  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 🔥 BTC365.com 🔥 IPL Prediction Pool 2022 & Discussion(Participants Only) on: May 27, 2022, 09:18:42 PM
My horrible luck with playoffs predictions continues. Predicted RR to win against GT earlier and got screwed. Expected Lucknow to win and got screwed. Expected RCB to win against RR and got screwed royally.

It's like good luck just abandoned me completely. This season was entertaining and tiring at the same time. One last match people! Excited for the finale between GT and Royals.
Finally after today I can comfortably say that I have won it : D i hope there is no threat left now for my first position because next match is worth 4 points in total 3 match points and just 1 margin point so even if swordsrex gets all the 4 points he can't beat me for sure. Or is there any other bonus point available too? Talking about IPL i think It's a sure shot win for GT this time unless there is another Butler storm in the final just like Today's match because then chasing any target becomes pretty easy.
924  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Mentor experience in crypto trading. on: May 27, 2022, 08:43:51 PM
Hi guys,I have learnt a lot from my mentor in crypto trading that made me to became who I am today in the society. Do you have a mentor in crypto trading? I never know how important a mentor is to investors when I nearly lost my $300,000 few years ago, until I found a potential mentor who thought me when to sell my coins to make a good income and when not to sell not to experience losses in the market.

Who is a mentor?

A mentor is a someone who help people to achieve their common goals. Mentor never give up on helping people until they began to see a good results coming out from them. Mentor don't scam people who are trying to rise like them than to help them to stand well.

Do we still have potential mentor in crypto community today?

I love Satoshi because he was a great mentor i have never see in the whole world, for building a great family like this, that will produce future president's of different countries and senators that will make this decentralized currency fully legalized in the whole world.
In trading the mentorship is different and in other spheres it's entirely different, in trading you will find hundreds of people who are just scammers and will teach you all the generic knowledge which is already available. In trading you need someone who should handhold you towards the right direction and make you a trader who doesn't runs behind mere profits rather takes up trading as an exercise to churn return on his investments in a longer term by taking profits when market is favourable and taking loss when market is unfavorable.
925  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: The Signal to Start Trading and the Signal to Close Trading on: May 27, 2022, 08:06:08 PM
Trading is not so difficult as it was told. But the difficult part in trading is when to enter the market and when to Close the market. So when do you think one can buy or sell (enter) the market? Using the candle sticks to predict.
Ideally there is a complete theory on this you have to enter on primarily when there is either a breakout, reversal or continuation of any major pattern, in this you take confluence with some indicator that you have in your arsenal and then prepare some pivot points for take profit and stop losses. This way you trade appropriately finding the correct points of trading.
926  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: How to proper trade in you asset in this market situation? on: May 26, 2022, 07:30:43 PM
Hello everyone.

I'm try to trading professional trading not possible to in this market condition. how safe my asset proper way?

I mean if we see "when is market condition bear" then i would be perfect call to buy top100 crypto. But anyone suggestion in this situation when we fall in bear market.
To be honest, only professional trading is possible in this market condition, in a bull market even a donkey can make money for you by buying just anything blindly, real test of professionals is in this sort of sideways market only. But if you are a newbie best thing to do in this market is either keep quiet. Don't sell anything off just wait for the right time to do so secondly if you have not bought anything so far just start doing DCA of every coin you think is good. Start buying at the right points and buy even more when it falls, this way you might end up being profitable in the next bull run.
927  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 🔥 BTC365.com 🔥 IPL Prediction Pool 2022 & Discussion(Participants Only) on: May 26, 2022, 07:27:08 PM
RCB RCB  Grin
Congratulations! You predicted the winner and acquired the margin point successfully. Never expected RCB to give Lucknow such a big target. Rajat played the innings of his lifetime.

Lucknow was seriously unlucky since RR barely took the 2nd position thanks to a slightly higher NRR. IPL 2022 will be remembered as one of the most inconsistent seasons ever since so many teams kept flip-flopping throughout our the season.
Nah i didn't get the margin points, only match points.

Even with a big target like RCB 207, it was not certain that they would qualify for the finals. Bangalore's bowlers bowled brilliantly in the death overs. They have bowled very controlled. And Bangalore won because they managed to control themselves in the last 3 overs. The match between Rajasthan and Bangalore is also expected to be competitive.
RCB did an excellent job with the ball.

But i think KL Rahul should get some credit too, the way he batted in 207 runs chase, it looked very selfish inning to me. You can't finish at sub 130 SR after facing 58 balls (almost 10 overs) and on the other hand Patidar scored a 54 ball ton with a SR of 200-ish.
I don't like the concept of high-value points for Playoffs Cheesy Cheesy (Primarily because it's against me Cheesy ) Just kidding, this has made the league still very interesting, otherwise, I would have been declared a winner already. But thanks to high-value points that pool is still alive. As per Google RCB is slightly the favorite for the next match, but I feel RR has a better chance considering they have a better overall form. RCB won merely because one man stood tall in the batting and that was also an underdog, while the main three couldn't even score a half-century together. Without three of them, you can't win a match this big unless another miracle happens. But one bad thing for RR is their bowling attack and the way it bowled in the last match, batting first gives you a far better chance but if your bowlers continue to bowl like this no matter how big a total you have it can be easily chased.
928  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Exchanges that offer loan options on: May 26, 2022, 07:18:29 PM
Hi, I've joined poloniex, and I tried some trading, but then I saw the lending options they had.
We can offer loans, that are used for margin trading, everything is run by the site, so we don't even have to deal with the users.
Right now it seems safe, and I like that option.
I'm still new to the exchanges and trading area with BTC, so my questions is:

Are there more exchanges that offer this kind of options, and if so, are they as safe as poloniex, and do they offer better % on average, etc?
Almost all the major exchanges provide these options these days, Binance, KUcoin, and FTX provide this option too, so you can avail it on any exchange, %Age I think is pretty variable and depends on market volatility at times. But yes if you see in an overall scenario, This sort of option is least advisable if you are even 5% serious about your trading, it's because in this option you have a high-interest cost which is always there on your shoulders and this cost would always influence your trading decision of closing the trades at points of tension or points of high uncertainty, which means emotionless trading would become almost impossible.
929  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Should I buy BTC or DCA other coins? on: May 26, 2022, 07:13:01 PM
Since prices are down, I am going to spend some money for shopping. Not a lot, just what I can spend.
Now the question is, should I buy BTC (currently I don't have any BTC) or should I do DCA for ETH, SOL or DOT?
Now the reason I am asking this question is I have some of ETH, SOL and DOT, and I still consider that my ETH and DOT average prices are little bit higher, so DCAing would be nice option. But then, given that the I am little concerned what might happen to SOL and DOT in this phase of the market. Anyway, thanks.
DCA other coins. If you are going to be a longer-term holder then always DCA other coins, but yes make even BTC a part of those coins, if you are someone who likes to move in capital sometimes and move it out sometime then you can go with buying BTC first and then buy other coins, the reason being in any bullish scenario it's always BTC that races up first and only then you'll see rest of the coins following the footsteps of BTC, so if you time it beautifully then you can enjoy moves of both BTC as well as the alts. But yes timing it can be slightly difficult as well so if you are even a bit skeptical, just stop doing it.
930  Economy / Economics / Re: The Geopolitical shock expected from the Russian invasion on: May 26, 2022, 05:23:39 PM
Russia's invasion of Ukraine is a direct challenge to Europe's postwar order, which is articulated through multilateral organizations like the EU and NATO and is backed by US strength. It needs to be seen if these systems buckle or are re-energized by the Russian threat. It's also uncertain how China will balance its ties with the West and its Russian neighbor in the long run. China has actively prepared for a period of geopolitical turbulence by hoarding oil and commodities as a reserve buffer, while maintaining friendly relations with Russia. Beijing is in a good position to help L&MICs mitigate the conflict's negative consequences. Debt has crippled many Asian and African economies, which are reliant on Chinese inbound investment and commodities consumption.

How do you think China would respond to this crisis? your thoughts please.
This actually is true and good. See no matter how much we advocate the west, there always should be some other equivalent power to counter balance a growing power otherwise that power would substantially do anything it wants to and will portray it as the best thing for the world. I think what Russia did isn't correct but was necessary to show an example that how one country can decide to go against what the whole west wants the world to.
931  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 🔥 BTC365.com 🔥 IPL Prediction Pool 2022 & Discussion(Participants Only) on: May 22, 2022, 06:57:21 PM
Punjab didn't disappoint me as expected. SRH have been struggling like crazy during the 2nd half of this tournament which is why it wasn't surprising to see Punjab win comfortably against them.

SRH seriously need to look into changing their entire team management since they have been underperforming for the last couple of seasons(Warner issue, bad selections etc). Also, excited for the playoffs stage.
I don't know what happened to Punjab in the middle of the tournament they started well and played some great matches in between but once again faced the same feat they face each year, i don't know if it's luck or what but they have such a good team on paper and yet they fail to materialize that team in reality which is really disappointing.
932  Economy / Economics / Re: Constant defamation of crypto on: May 22, 2022, 06:55:27 PM
Why are so many governments and even people constantly trying to defame crypto?
Talking about Governments, isn't it obvious that they will do it? If you see from their perspective crypto is something that'll destroy
Their agenda, it gives people the right to decide the value of the currency rather than keeping it in their hands, also the huge money churned by banks being an intermediary also comes at risk if you are advocating Cryptos to become mainstream, therefore the people connected to this arena also defame Cryptos for the very same reason.
933  Local / India / Re: Crypto Taxation in India on: May 22, 2022, 06:49:08 PM
I understand the 30% capital gains tax but what would be the tax structure for people working in freelancing roles/consultants and getting paid in crypto? Do we have any guidelines/clarity on this?
No there are no guidelines as to that, the verdict as of now is pretty clear no matter how you get your Cryptocurrencies the moment you sell them or exchange them you'll be charged 30% flat tax on the profit you have made but while calculation of profit the only deduction that'll be given will be cost of acquisition, which means if you get it from freelancing you won't be getting any deduction while calculating the profit the whole proceeds that you get on sale is your profit only.
934  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is Bitcoin a safe haven??? on: May 22, 2022, 06:44:24 PM
I think that having Bitcoin might be a good investment but calling it a safe haven might be over exaggeration. We all know how volatile Bitcoin is and how it may be up one hour then it will be down on another. This needs sound mental faculties and lots of patience and discipline if you want to reach your goals of financial independence on cryptocurrency. Surely you can call Bitcoin a safe haven once you have cashed out your millions.
I think the logic why people call it a safe haven is not because it can earn you millions or it's volatile, people call it safe haven because if you see past trend bitcoin has always bounced back, no matter how down it went, it always comes back and beats it's all time high after every few years, this is the reason why people feel no matter how much you lose the money in unrealized P&L it'll definitely go up some day and you'll be able to earn that money back.
935  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: 40 high schools in Argentina to launch bitcoin in their curriculum. on: May 22, 2022, 03:36:01 PM

Argentina is about to launch bitcoin education in their curriculum,  this is going to take place in 40 High schools with about 4,000 students.  This is  an Interesting news many  bitcoiners have been waiting for,  I think this won't just end in Argentina,  other countries will take this same good  within a short time.

Argentina  is the second highest  bitcoin  adopter in Latin America,  I the reason for the innovation is to make students  know  the importance of bitcoin. The economy of Argentina is suffering in the hands of hyperinflation.

https://bitcoinmagazine.com/business/bitcoin-education-launches-in-argentina-for-high-schools
It's quite ironic yet very accurate that Argentina is now planning this, because no matter what they have done the problem of their hyperinflation has just not improved at all, this has just created problems in their daily life for such a country a deflationary currency is a really good idea for sometime atleast because the prices of the goods could stabilize as the mentality of the folks shift in the country.
936  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 🔥 BTC365.com 🔥 IPL Prediction Pool 2022 & Discussion(Participants Only) on: May 21, 2022, 11:10:07 PM
Finally the four teams for the playoff is confirmed. Right now which team have got the highest chance of winning the trophy. I'm gonna support Royal Challengers Bangalore. To me, it is Royal Challengers Bangalore for some specific reasons. In the last match Kohli played in a pressure free manner and this can continue. It adds more power to the team. Gujarat Titans and Lucknow Super Giants will play with more confidence.
This really was unexpected everyone was expecting DC to bear MI as ofcourse DC is an in form team against MI who have struggled in the whole tournament, but anyways this make sures that RCB is going for playoffs now, even though I am not a great fan of RCB but I really want them to win the IPL this year, but if they do Kohli would face even more critcism for his captaincy in past.
937  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: So my portfolio is down %70...too late to pull back now I guess on: May 21, 2022, 11:06:34 PM
This downtrend has been detrimental to my health (mental health). Exactly %70 just now. No lunch money type of money either.

Have we ever experienced this kind of downtrend before?? What's the latest on how long this might last, or if it's even going to recover.
One thing I have learnt in trading is that it is never too late to get in and never too late to pull back. Market is entirely unpredictable you might see another 70% downfall from this point or you might get even see an 100% uptrend from this point both the things are very much possible, we have experienced many worse downfalls than this and market has recovered from them every single time it will always recover in future as well. But yes it might go even down so you are losing an opportunity to sell high today and buy cheap later by mitigating the risk of price recovering from here only.
938  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: indicators on: May 21, 2022, 09:42:34 AM
im new to trading im using RSI and bb for indicators. I was told when the candle stick hits the lower bottom of the boliengor bands, and is under 30RSI it's going to go up, but how do i find one of these before it happens? i've been watching the same coin for 21hours and nothins happen yet.
This is just the half-truth, Indicators aren't used in this way, the correct way to use indicators is for confluence. You find out important patterns or important levels market is approaching, which could be breakouts or reversals or continuations, then you go to an indicator to get an confirmation whether this pattern is valid and will give some good return or not, then you move to your second indicator whether that is influencing the whole trade positively, only when you have got concrete confirmation on all these parameters, then you can go ahead and take a trade, don't try finding out a trade merely based on one indicator.
939  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: BTC is scarcer than gold. on: May 21, 2022, 08:33:58 AM
244,000 metric tons of gold has been discovered to date, 55,000 tons of gold are left.

But there is still a lot of gold left in the universe. There is gold on asteroids for example. One day these will be minable. So the gold supply is not as limited as some may think.

However, gold is hard to move around, weighs a lot, it's hard to sell or buy, it's not practicable.

With BTC it's another story. We all know there are only 21,000,000 coins and 3-4 millions are already lost forever.

There is no Bitcoin in the whole Universe, except on Planet Earth.

BTC is scarcer than gold. I think one day 1 BTC will enter the $xxx, xxx zone then the $x,xxx, xxx HODL BTC
I don't really think only the scarcity of something decides the price of an asset, it's always the combination of Demand and scarcity that decides the price, due to this traditional mentality gold has always fetched a hell lot of demand and even though there has been a lot of production still the price has gone up in a linear manner. If bitcoin in the same manner continues to attract demand from retail investors it will obviously keep rising in price but if the demand get's killed due to failure of bitcoin as an utility then obviously it won't attract that much demand and eventually the price movement wouldn't really be that much.
940  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: At what age did you start learning about bitcoin? on: May 21, 2022, 08:25:15 AM
Some weeks ago, I explained in a post how I taught my octogenarian and Septuagenarian parents about Bitcoin. One of the comments that caught my attention was made by Jet Cash.

I'm 80 in June. Why are you guys surprised that older people can embrace the concept of Bitcoin? Many of us have enquiring minds, and are prepared to look at new concepts with an open attitude. This is why many older people have a better understanding of the 'rona scam and vaccination mania, and don't just accept government and pharma' propaganda.

At that point, some of the questions that came to mind were, at what age did he start learning about bitcoin? What role did age and prior experience play in helping him learn about bitcoin and cryptocurrency? With his current knowledge about bitcoin and cryptocurrency, does he wish he started at an earlier age?

I was 29 when I started learning about bitcoin and it has been one hell of a ride.  I know other members of this community also have their unique experiences which I am interested in reading about. So, I may just as well throw these questions open for discussion.

1. At what age did you start learning about bitcoin?
2. What role did age and prior experience play in helping you learn about bitcoin and cryptocurrency?
3. With your current knowledge about bitcoin and cryptocurrency, do wish you started at an earlier age?

Dear Jet Cash, I wish you a very happy birthday in advance. Thank you for all that you do for the community.
I came to know about bitcoin when i was 16 years old, my prior experience was obviously zero, but I had a very keen interest towards technology which obviously helped me a lot in understanding things, but yes I always feel that If I would have started at an earlier age things would have been very different, i know it's primarily because of the price that we say this, If you would have come to know about it couple of years earlier you would have entered at a much better price therefore would be having much holdings at this point in time. In terms on knowledge this might not be that true.
